1.Montreal: Laval police warn residents about distribution of envelopes containing threats and white powder
The Laval police force (SPL) is urging city residents to be on their guard after suspicious and threatening letters were distributed.
SPL is reporting that during the day on Monday, police were informed that some 10 Laval citizens had received an envelope containing a white powder of unknown nature, accompanied by an extortion letter including threatening remarks.
“At this point of the investigation this is random – there’s no specific sector that is being targeted. There’s no link between the victims that have been determined yet, neither concerning the address. What we can tell you is that for now it’s only residences in Laval. We’ve reached out to other police services outside the city and they didn’t report having any files on their territory but that’s still part of the investigation,” said Maxime Bray, a spokesperson with the Laval police force.

2. This is a tricky one. Frankly I think everyone has the right to do business or not with whomever they please. But interfering with their rights is a crime. So, if a person does not want to sell a cake to a gay couple that is fine. But they can’t agree to do it knowing it is for a gay couple and then pull the rug on them when it’s too late to get a cake somewhere else. Once the drivers had contracted to go to the pro-Israel march in DC, they should have had to do it or be sued for all expenses and punitive as well. But they should certainly have the right to refuse to bring people and cancel well in advance. Same with Jewish bus drivers and Nazis going to a rally. Refuse as soon as you know what it’s for. At the same time, if those drivers violate their terms of employment, then yeah, fire them. But this sort of thing must never be an actual crime. A civil matter for sure. But the entire concept of hate crimes and hate speech must be discarded. This is a communist tactic to make us ask to be slaves.
3. I wonder what’s worse. The grotesquely unfair thing this man did to those women? Or humiliating them by forcing them to pretend to be happy for this sociopathic cheater.

The bakery situation is a freedom of creative speech issue and not a customer issue. These businesses serve all customers, but feel that the customer can not coerce their artwork against the beliefs of the respective bakers.
Once a business obtains a commercial license, it obligates itself to provide services for anyone who walks through its door who can pay for services. That sign “no shirt, no service” is a lie that gets settled in court. At any rate, who wants to be on a bus with drivers whose coworkers have bullied them to refuse service?
The NY Post mentions a Conmecticut group with a similar issue, but this group was able set up private cars to provide transit. Please remind your leftist friends of the newd for options and independence!
It disturbs me that the Detroit JF is protecting the bus company without disclosing why the company merits defense if it has hired drivers who defy Civil Rights protections. It’s also disturbing that the Dulles airport authority could not create an exception so that the charter flight passengers could leave the airport. Surely, hasn’t a similar situation ever occurred with a right-to-life or a pro-abortion rally? Perhaps there were bus drivers who refused to drive passengers to the Million Man March?
