This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

  7. Children as Young as 10 Took Part in Hamas’s Oct. 7 Terror Attack, Survivors Say

    EILAT, Israel—Eran Smilansky, a 28-year-old potato farmer, watched Gazan children go from house to house in his kibbutz on Oct. 7. Hamas terrorists followed. The boys laughed as the gunmen shot or dragged away Israeli families.

    They were like young, young kids,” said Smilansky, who defended his home from terrorists for more than six hours that day. “They were going in front of the terrorists, laughing with their friends and looking very calm. I remember thinking, What the fuck?”

    Smilansky was one of a dozen survivors of the Nir Oz massacre who told the Washington Free Beacon they witnessed boys or women from the Gaza Strip looting the kibbutz, helping the armed terrorists, and apparently enjoying themselves. The youngest children were around 10 years old, according to several of the survivors, one of whom provided photographs of some of the women and children he saw. The survivors spoke at a hotel in Eilat, Israel’s Red Sea resort town, where most of them have been temporarily relocated.

    While the involvement of Gazan children and women in Hamas’s terrorist attack is not widely understood, evidence exists in the public domain. An online video of a 12-year-old Israeli boy’s abduction from Nir Oz, Israel, appears to show a Gazan boy of about the same age accompanying the kidnappers. Boys were among the mob of Gazans recorded crossing into Israel after Hamas terrorists breached the border. And a Hamas-linked Associated Press stringer photographed a Gazan boy entering Kfar Aza, a kibbutz about 15 miles north of Nir Oz.

  8. Satanic Indoctrination: Georgetown University Forced to Fund Development of Worship Lecture Using School Alumni and Donor Money

    America’s oldest Catholic institution, Georgetown University, was forced to host leaders of the Satanic Temple. Donors, alumni, and students were outraged but certain university leadership fought against this misuse of funds. Once there, the leaders of the ‘Satanic Temple’ chastised students about their Catholic beliefs, capitalism, and even an appreciation for America and Western culture as a whole. Georgetown’s devout Catholic donors unknowingly paid for an anti-religious hate group to speak at their university. The Satanic Temple’s main documented goal is to dismantle religion and community, specifically targeting Christians.

    What is happening in this country? How is this allowed? Why were alumni forced to fund this?

    The event sparked widespread controversy across campus, with students, faculty, and alumni condemning this blatant mockery of religious values. An open letter, signed by 180 members of the Georgetown community, highlighted the deep-seated hypocrisy in using donor and alumni funds without consent, meant to uphold the university’s religious values, to provide a platform for a group known for its religious hostility.

    “It disappoints and saddens me,” said one student, “to have seen Georgetown University so enthusiastic about hosting […] the Satanic Temple, a group that not only diametrically opposes [sic] their religion but also their standing as a religious institution as a whole. […] Many students, including myself, were disappointed to see religion weaponized in such a way.”

    On the day of the event, The Knights of Columbus and disheartened students gathered outside in prayer, standing as a testament to the university’s betrayal of its core values. Several attendees of the event reported blatant displays of anti-Christian bigotry, with most of the time spent desecrating sacred rites rather than engaging in religious discourse.

    “Having an event with Satanists is a new low, even for Georgetown,” another student said in a statement, “considering how the university has blocked […] other speakers for inconsistency with Catholic/Jesuit values. The event […] featuring Satanists is saying out loud what many of us have known for years: Far-left activism is atheism. Far-left activism is Satanism; they’re proudly announcing it. In a sense, I could appreciate the honesty behind this, certainly more honest than most other things on campus.”

    This is the current state of America: while conservative voices continue to be silenced, left-wing hate groups are embraced with open arms. This blatant double standard, if left unchecked, threatens the very foundation of our country. By allowing these universities to indoctrinate students with radical and divisive ideas, we’re witnessing the fall of American education as a whole. What could have been a night filled with meaningful discussions on religious values was instead reduced to a shameful spectacle of hate, all under the pretense of free speech. Georgetown University’s complicity in this event not only raises questions about its misuse of donor funds and adherence to its own religious roots, but also signifies a dangerous shift in academic institutions towards an anti-conservative bias.

  12. Western Sydney Jump refuses ‘Zionist school’s blood money’

    A Sydney business has come under fire for refusing to accommodate a Jewish high school, with the owner then boasting about the decision online

    Western Sydney Jump, a Sydney-based company that rents jumping castles, has come under fire for refusing to provide outdoor games to a Jewish school in Sydney.

    The company’s response, laden with hostility, included an email to the Masada College school principal stating: “There is no way I am taking a Zionist booking. I don’t want your blood money. Free Palestine.”

    The controversial exchange unfolded on Tuesday when Masada College reached out to Western Sydney Jump for a quote on several outdoor games for an upcoming school function.

    Instead of a professional response, the school received a rejection infused with political sentiments.

    Ending with “God Bless America” and Rabbi Carlebach’s “Am Yisrael Chai. Od Avinu Chai.” He wrote this for his pibloc visit to Jews in the Soviet Union. I don’t know the origin of the first sentence, “the nation-people of Israel lives.” The second sentence are the words between Joesph and his brothers: our father (Jacob) stlll lives. I need to check if that’s a statement or a question or both.

    President Biden needed to go to a summit in Califonia, so sent his regards.

    • ‘Am Yisrael Chai’ has become an anthem for the Jewish people – but where did it come from?

      Like many of you, I’ve been hearing the stirring song, “Am Yisrael Chai” (The People of Israel Live”), sung with great passion – around the country, in Israel and in communities around the world – since the outbreak of the Israel-Hamas war. It has become second only to “Hatikvah” as an anthem of the Jewish people.

      Some believe that “Am Yisrael Chai” dates back centuries, but in fact it was written and first performed in the mid-1960s. It was composed by Shlomo Carlebach (1925-1994), a popular Hasidic “singing rabbi,” at the request of Jacob Birnbaum, the founder of the grassroots Student Struggle for Soviet Jewry (SSSJ), who was seeking an anthem for the fledgling Soviet Jewry movement in the spring of 1965.…

      Birnbaum… wanted to “generate movement songs” that could inspire young people and other activists at rallies for the cause. [He] sought to reach out to the Hasidic troubadour, hoping for a catchy composition in time for a planned major rally…

      “The request began to resonate with him (Carlebach) when he flew to Soviet-dominated Czechoslovakia,” Birnbaum recalled. “Later he told me that he had washed my letter, typed on ‘Student Struggle’ stationery, down the airplane toilet in some trepidation,” fearful of being arrested.

      It was during that trip that Carlebach wrote and first performed “Am Yisrael Chai” before a group of youngsters in Prague… The impact of the song on the crowd was immediate.

      Besides the three words, “Am Yisrael Chai,” Carlebach had added three more words to the song, based on the biblical story (Genesis, 45: 3) of Joseph revealing his identity to his brothers. He immediately asks about the welfare of their father, Jacob, whom Joseph has not seen in many years: “ha-od avi chai?” (“Is my father alive?”)

      Carlebach transformed the question into an exclamatory statement of affirmation: “od aveenu chai” (“our father is alive!”).

      Birnbaum interpreted the phrasing to signify that a rebirth of Jewish life, including music, was beginning to take place post-Holocaust.

    • 290,000 people show up for historic pro-Israel rally in DC, organizers say

      WASHINGTON (JTA) — Organizers of a pro-Israel rally at the National Mall in Washington on Tuesday claimed that 290,000 people showed up for the event, making it one of the largest gatherings of Jews in U.S. history at a time when an ongoing war in Gaza has sharply divided public opinion around the world.

      An additional 250,000 people watched the event through a live stream, organizers added. Other Jewish marches that gathered over 100,000 people include one in 1987 in support of Soviet Jews and one in 2002 in support of Israel during the second intifada.

      In more than three hours of speeches on Tuesday, a range of politicians, actors, musicians, activists and U.S. college students presented a strong front in support of Israel and spoke about the rise of antisemitism around the world since Hamas’ attacks on Oct. 7 and Israel’s subsequent war in Gaza. Many speakers also demanded the safe release of the more than 200 hostages still being held by Hamas in Gaza.

      In a live feed from Jerusalem, Israeli President Isaac Herzog said “we will heal, we will rise again and we will rebuild…”

      The rally started and ended with cries of “Am yisrael chai”— “the people of Israel live.” William Daroff, head of the conference of presidents, said the tally was counted by magnetometers used by security at entrances.

      Last time I went to a huge rally at the National Mall the majority of the crowd was Christian. That was so reassuring, it made me feel so good!

      I want to be in Eretz NOW, with people I love. One of my brothers, many cousins, childhood friends, their kids. And my Russki, of course. His son and grandchildren.

      But my health is fragile, I'd just be a burden.
      I've never felt so alienated here.

      Sikh friends are generously watching the little kids on their way to school and back. The windows of the Butcherie are boarded up. Ditto the Kosher Veggie Crust.
