When governments talk about gun control, they never mean for police, or their own guards. They always mean for the public and usually not even all the public. The selective enforcement for who gets punished for a gun associated crime and who does not is sufficiently consistent to be called a dialectic. Israel, which should never have had any gun control, well no state should, but Israel for sure, has now had a change of heart:
