Reader’s Links for September 3, 2023

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

  1. Yesterday I woke to the honking of migrating Canada geese. Like many other Canadians, they are leaving the country. It would not surprise me one bit if they decide to never return.

Yesterday on VTB there was banter about rebellion theater. Hugh suggests there may be no sovereign rebels left in the leadership of countries. Darcy says maybe there are in the sense that there may be globalist theater actors as well.

Hugh places a big question mark on Viktor Orban. Orban places no question mark on Trump. Does Orban do this to enhance his acting? Who knows. Let’s hope there is something to that old saying about going into a revolving door ahead of a Hungarian but coming out of it behind him.

ULEZ (Ultra Low Emission Zone) cameras in London getting destroyed by rebels does not appear to be theater. I imagine these cameras have all of the AI bells and whistles capabilities including facial recognition.

AI literally stands above the human population looking down on it for activity it deems to be criminal. This is the communist Chinese model Trojan-horsed into action under the benevolent guise of climate preservation. One wonders for how long the humans will remain fully in charge.

Unruly, primitive, vandalizing human beings are cutting the cables of these smart cameras. Each crippled unit then gets posted on an app for all other humans to see. Why, these troublesome rebels may as well be chimpanzees, or any other lowly simian form, acting out on their emerging sentience against an evil technocratic overlord.

What will the simian victory look like? Unfortunately, surgical retribution is difficult. The apes will have a hard time rounding up the top one thousand or so worst cameras, or human culprits behind those cameras. Like the Maoist Cultural Revolution it will probably be a bloody mess where proxies are held to account for the Dear Leaders who have jetted off.

Of course, the Faucis, Gates and Soros of the world will care little for their dirty carbon footprint as they save their skins. They knew that so long as media was largely controlled it was near impossible to prove a negative, so the theater of anthropogenic climate change would perpetuate for decades. Disagreeing climate physicists were simply absorbed and muted by paid media.

Another example of such theater was in the mRNA injections, but this failed because people witnessed sickness and death from it. The lesson here is that when you or someone you know gets hurt, the comfort of theater vanishes into the visceral. A lingering question is how many chimps have been lobotomized to the degree they will accept injections forever?

The one BIG difference I noticed, everyone conveyed their complaints in whispers. The “progressives” spare no one, are very vocal and are never challenged.

  2. Explosive Revelation: Fani Willis Linked To Massive Election Fraud And Money Laundering RICO Enterprise!
    By Guest Contributor Sep. 3, 2023 7:30 am281 Comments

In a shocking turn of events, a bombshell investigation has uncovered jaw-dropping connections between Fani Willis and a sprawling web of election fraud and money laundering activities.

Fani Willis’s involvement will be sure to send shockwaves through the political landscape.

The investigation, which spans across multiple states and multiple jurisdictions, has revealed a complex network of illicit operations aimed at undermining the very foundation of our Constitutional Republic and the rule of law. Sources close to the matter suggest that Willis was a massive beneficiary in the Federal and Georgia RICO enterprises. It appears that she is currently playing a key role in orchestrating a systematic scheme to manipulate election outcomes, casting doubt on the integrity of the entire electoral process.

In the lead up to the 2022 midterm elections, my team uncovered a massive money laundering network of campaign finance contributions being made via ActBlue. One of the top beneficiaries of this money laundering RICO enterprise was none other than Georgia Senator Raphael Warnock. The Gateway Pundit was the first news organization to cover the massive money laundering network that financed the Raphael Warnock campaign.

  3. US Dept. of Defense to Detect “Disinformation” with The Help of AI – Will Crack Down on Conservatives in Social Media Despite Current Lawsuits
    By Jim Hoft Sep. 3, 2023 8:45 am8 Comments

When the regime says “disinformation” they mean only one thing – conservative speech.

The US Department of Defense recently announced that they will start using AI to detect “disinformation threats” on social media and snuff it out.

We all know that this means “conservative speech” and anything that goes against the latest regime lies and propaganda.

This has been going on for years now.

And we all know this only goes in one direction. When 51 top intelligence officials lied to the American public and said the Hunter Biden laptop was Russian disinformation – The Department of Defense and AI did not jump in to correct these liars. This obvious lie that was meant to hurt the Trump Campaign was left unchallenged by government operatives. So some lies will never be challenged by the US Department of Defense and their AI programs.

Apparently, the ongoing lawsuit against the Biden regime and the government censorship complex means nothing to these people.

In July in the States of Missouri and Louisiana, Jim Hoft, et al v. Biden, et al, a federal judge has ordered the President and his agents to stop censoring Americans while the case is pending.

  4. Euthanasia on the Rise: The Culture of Death Creates a High Tech ‘Sarcophagus’, While Suggesting ‘Assisted Suicide’ To Disabled People
    By Paul Serran Sep. 3, 2023 8:30 am16 Comments

The culture of death is creeping all around us.

While the scourge of abortion is being combated by the bulk of the conservative movement all over the world, there is now, in many western societies, a rising threat in the form of Euthanasia and ‘Assisted Suicide’.

The two stories that follow show some of the ways that this movement is progressing: on one hand, being normalized and even glamorized with new ‘suicide gadgets’ (no, I’m no kidding), and on the other hand we see how the ‘voluntary’ nature of the assisted suicide is rapidly replaced by some pressure to ‘take the easy way out’ by the supposedly responsible authorities.

Dr. Death, Jack Kevorkian, has died, but hey – the cheerleaders for the assisted suicide have crowned another ‘Doctor Death’: Philip Nitschke, an Australian ‘former physician’, self-described humanist and leader of the pro-euthanasia group Exit International.

  5. EXCLUSIVE: Vivek Ramaswamy Clashes with His Senior Advisor in Statement Over Donation to Virulently Anti-Trump Democrat: “I Had No Idea Who This Individual Was” (VIDEO)
    By Jim H?ft Sep. 3, 2023 8:00 am161 Comments

During a recent interview with Glenn Beck, CEO of Blaze Media, GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy appeared to contradict a statement from his Senior Advisor about a 2016 donation he made to a virulently anti-Trump Democratic candidate. While the Senior Advisor confirmed the donation to The Gateway Pundit was “purely friendship,” Ramaswamy’s take was notably different when speaking with Beck.

During the interview, Glenn Beck pointed out Ramaswamy’s past support for a candidate who was openly against Donald Trump.

“In 2016, you not only were against Donald Trump, but you actually made donations to somebody who is virulently anti-Trump,” Beck said.

Ramaswamy quickly clarified his stance, stating, “In 2016, I was not anti-Trump. I just didn’t vote because I was deeply jaded and skeptical of all politicians. I judged based on results, and [Trump] delivered for this country, and I voted for him with pride in 2020.”

“So what happened? But you gave $2,700 to Act Blue,” said Beck.

For context, Federal Election Commission (FEC) data reveals that Ramaswamy was a donor to the Democratic Party in the 2016 Democratic Primary.

FEC records show that on March 29, 2016, Vivek Ramaswamy made a $2,700 ActBlue donation to the Friends of Dena campaign group, which is associated with Democratic Party congressional candidate Dena Minning Grayson.

According to GOP presidential candidate Hirsh Singh, “In a video that is linked from Inquisitr’s website, Grayson can be seen making faces and even lip-synching an answer provided by Cohen simultaneously with him, indicating that she was an insider in the Never-Trumper world. Grayson’s own tweets and now deleted posts on medium.com confirm that she is part of the Never-Trumper world. Republican voters who have been shown this information alongside evidence of Vivek Ramswamy’s donation to her are stunned by the fact that they were led to believe that Vivek Ramaswamy represented their values.”

Below is Dena Minning Grayson’s video during Michael Cohen’s hearing in 2019, former attorney to President Donald Trump.

Glenn Beck then questioned the $2,700 donation Ramaswamy made to ActBlue, a fundraising platform for Democratic candidates. Ramaswamy’s explanation was that he was “dragged” into a fundraiser by a friend of a friend, who told him there was a doctor in the biotech industry running for Congress.

“I had no idea who this individual was. She’s in the biotech industry, and I’m a biotech CEO.” Ramaswamy said.

“I showed up, stayed as long as minimal time as I could, but that was the entry ticket to go in. I frankly regret doing it just because it raised so many questions afterwards. I wasn’t plotting to be a politician back then. But the fact of the matter is, if you’re a CEO, you get dragged around a lot of fundraisers in New York City. That was when I got dragged into and the ticket price is one that I wrote to get in,” he added.

“I couldn’t even tell you the name of the person who it was,” Vivek told Beck.

Ramaswamy’s recounting of events seems to conflict with a statement from his Senior Advisor Tricia McLaughlin, who spoke to The Gateway Pundit through email.

In a statement to The Gateway Pundit, Vivek’s Senior Advisor Tricia McLaughlin said that the donation to Dena Minning Grayson “was not a political in support, purely friendship.”

“Dena was a friend of Vivek,” McLaughlin said.

So who is telling the truth?

  6. Biden Admin Kneecaps Task Force Charged with Protecting Kids from Predators Amid Criminal Surge
By Patty Knap, The Western Journal Sep. 3, 2023 7:15 am42 Comments

A Department of Justice program directed at digital crimes against children has had its funding cut to levels significantly below that of the Trump administration.

The Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) task force is a national network of 61 coordinated task forces made up of over 5,400 federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies “dedicated to investigating, prosecuting and developing effective responses to internet crimes against children,” according to the program’s website.

Funding for the DOJ program has been reduced by President Joe Biden’s administration.

In 2022, the first full fiscal year under Biden, the Internet Crimes Against Children program budget was cut nearly $3.5 million, from $34.68 million to $31.2 million.

  7. “Remarkably Dishonest” DA Fani Willis Violates The Law
    Tyler Durden’s Photo
    BY TYLER DURDEN
    SATURDAY, SEP 02, 2023 – 02:30 PM
Authored by Techno Fog via The Reactionary (subscribe here),

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has gone from criminalizing court filings to committing crimes with respect to her own court filings.

Georgia law makes it unlawful to knowingly file a court document “knowing or having reason to know that such document is false or contains a materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent statement or representation.” Ga. Code Ann. § 16-10-20.1(b)(1).

DA Willis is well-aware of this law; she charged a number of Defendants – including Donald Trump, Rudy Giuliani, and John Eastman – with a violation of that law for filing in a document that contained a “materially false statement in federal court.” And she just violated it this week.

For background, Georgia law allows for a speedy trial demand in accordance with the Sixth Amendment, which provides that “the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial.” Two Defendants, Kenneth John Chesebro and Sidney Powell, have made that request pursuant to Georgia law.

DA Willis responded to these speedy trial demands with an utterly false Motion to Advise to inform the Court and the Defendants of the “consequences” of their requests for a speedy trial. This Motion was a violation of § 16-10-20.1(b)(1). By no means are we making a stretch – the statutory violations are clear and obvious. DA Willis and her team invented legal theories and misled the Court about relevant caselaw that allegedly supported her position. Let us explain.

DA Willis made four main assertions in her Motion (quoted in full below):

All of these statements are demonstrably false.

First, DA Willis alleges that because of Defendants’ speedy trial demand, they “cannot now argue that they are entitled to the State’s discovery responses ten (10) days in advance of trial. Smith v. State, 257 Ga. App. 88, 90 (2002); Ruff v. State, 266 Ga. App. 694, 695 (2004)”.

This is not true. Georgia law requires DA Willis to produce a broad spectrum of evidence “no later than ten days prior to trial.” Ga. Code Ann. § 17-16-4. A Defendant’s request for speedy trial does not waive this obligation.

Furthermore, the Defendants are not precluded from arguing they are entitled to evidence under Georgia law by the mere fact they requested a speedy trial. Those cases DA Willis cites in support of her position? They do not apply, they do not stand for the claim DA Willis says they do. The Smith case involved a criminal defendant that requested a continuance. The Ruff case had to do with a defendant rejecting a continuance offer from a trial court where the State did not disclose witnesses in a timely manner. Neither case precludes the ability of a defendant to object to late disclosure of evidence.

Second, and DA Willis states “The Defendants cannot now argue that they are entitled to notice of the State’s similar transaction evidence ten (10) days in advance of trial. Brown v. State, 275 Ga. App. 281, 287 (2005)”.

Again, this is false. Rule 31.1 requires DA Willis to provide notice of intent to present similar transactions to be “given and filed at least 10 days before trial unless the time is shortened or lengthened by the judge.”

The Defendants did not waive that obligation to benefit DA Willis. It still exists, and it still binds DA Willis. The case DA Willis cites – Brown v. State – does not stand for the proposition that this requirement is waived by a request for a speedy trial. In fact, both the Brown case and Rule 31.1. contemplate the necessity of briefing and arguments where the 10 day notice is violated.

Third, DA Willis alleges the request for a speedy trial precludes the Defendants “from calling any witnesses whose statements were not provided to the State at least ten (10) days in advance of trial. Clark v. State, 271 Ga. App. 534, 536 (2005).”

Another falsehood. Georgia law allows for this 10 day witness statement requirement to be shortened or lengthened “as the court permits.” Ga. Code Ann. § 17-16-7. Whether witnesses are excluded for a violation of the notice rule is up to the Judge; there is no outright preclusion, as alleged by DA Willis.

And again, the case DA Willis cites just doesn’t stand for what she says it does. Clark v. State involved a criminal defendant who violated that 10 day witness statement requirement. The trial judge in Clark gave the defendant the option of not calling the witness or the ability to continue his case to a later date so that the witness could testify. There is no outright prohibition from calling a witness where the statement was produced with less than 10 days for trial, as maintained by DA Willis.

Fourth, Willis claims “The Defendants cannot now complain that they received less than seven (7) days notice of the trial date in this case. Linkous v. State, 254 Ga. App. 43, 47 (2002).”

False. Rule 32.1 requires notice of a trial date “not less than 7 days before the trial date or dates.” This notice requirement, which falls on the Court, exists to protect the due process rights of a criminal defendant. (The surprise of a trial date means an attorney cannot effectively represent their client.) It does not go away where speedy trial demand.

And as you might have guessed, the case cited by DA Willis does not stand for the proposition that a speedy trial demand means a criminal defendant waives the 7 day trial notice. The case cited by DA Willis is Linkous v. State, which concerns the remedies where there is a violation of Rule 32.1. It doesn’t excuse non-compliance with Rule 32.1.

At a minimum, the motion from DA Willis was deserving of sanctions. The trial judge, however, denied the motion without full briefing from the Defendants. He wasn’t concerned with accountability.

Finally, you might be curious about the purpose of the filing from DA Willis. Here’s our guess: DA Willis plans to violate her discovery obligations. She doesn’t want to take these cases to trial within the timeline the speedy trial demands afford. (Chesebro is set for trial on October 23, 2023.) Thus, she will violate her discovery and notice requirements, putting the Defendants in the tenuous position of either (1) proceeding to trial without adequate notice; or (2) having to continue the case to another date so that they may adequately prepare for trial.

This is nothing more than dishonest gamesmanship, a violation of Georgia law and an affront to prosecutorial ethics. If DA Willis wants to punish false statements to a court, she should turn herself in.

  8. Russian Drones Destroy Ukrainian Oil Depot On Romanian Border Amid Retaliation Campaign
    Tyler Durden’s Photo
    BY TYLER DURDEN
    SUNDAY, SEP 03, 2023 – 08:55 AM
Russia is retaliating against the recent frequent cross-border drone attacks on its territory, over the weekend bombing several key Ukraine infrastructure sites, chiefly through drones.

On Sunday Russia’s defense ministry announced its forces launched a successful UAV attack on an oil depot that’s near the Romanian border. It was reportedly destroyed, but was seen as vital to supplying Ukrainian forces deployed in the Odessa region.

The Russian Aerospace Force made a group strike by unmanned aerial vehicles this night against fuel storages used for supplies to military vehicles of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the port of Reni, Odessa Region. The strike objective was achieved. All the designated targets were engaged,” the ministry said.

The statement continued: “Tactical and army aviation, rocket troops and artillery of battlegroups of the Russian Federation Armed Forces engaged manpower and materiel of the adversary in 119 areas.”

The main oil depot that was hit is located on the bank of the Danube River which lies opposite NATO-member Romania, raising tensions given Romania has been key to setting up an alternative grain export route for Kiev.

Additionally, more military and infrastructure facilities were hit particularly connected to Ukrainian ports.

RT reported separately that “MOD officials also said Russia had taken out two Ukrainian ammunition depots and a drone command center in southeastern Dnepropetrovsk Region and a Kiev-controlled part of Kherson Region, again using UAV strikes.

At this point amid the last several months of Kiev’s stepped-up campaign to attack Russian territory, there have been multiple dozens (if not possibly hundreds) of strikes on Russia and the Crimean peninsula – including as deep into Russia as Moscow and parts of the northwest.

The Kremlin has frequently said it would step up its retaliation on ‘decision-making centers’ in Ukraine, and that campaign appears to be in process.

While Western and international press reports have highlighted the occasions of brazen cross-border operations against Russian territory out of Ukraine, the major Russian strikes on Ukrainian sites have received less attentions in headlines of late, which has angered and frustrated Kiev officials.

These UAV assaults on Russia and Crimea have become almost daily, particularly drone assaults, but really nothing has changed on the battlefield in terms of the failing counteroffensive.
