Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

      On Wednesday footage was released on Mexican TV of a Cartel Del Golfo (CDG) member in Matamoros, Mexico walking the streets with an alleged javelin anti-tank missile.

      We now believe the missile is an AT4 Swedish unguided, man-portable, disposable, shoulder-fired missile.

    Former Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot announced Thursday that she will be teaching a course at Harvard in the fall on her response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

    Lightfoot lost her re-election primary race bid and was replaced by progressive Democrat Brandon Johnson.

    Lightfoot said she has been appointed as a senior leadership fellow at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and will teach students about how she governed during the pandemic.

    “I’ve always loved teaching, and the opportunity to get back to it is something I am excited about,” Lightfoot tweeted. “Looking forward to sharing the experiences and perceptions I learned governing through one of the most challenging times in American history.”

    Lightfoot, who previously taught law at Northwestern University and the University of Chicago, said she would “share specifics about the way we managed the COVID-19 public heath crisis, and we’ll delve into how we approached the crisis as an avenue to address long standing public health equity challenges using data and science,” according to Fox 32 Chicago.

    It is unclear whether Lightfoot will teach about the time she violated both state and local laws by appearing maskless at a 2021 WNBA game. Lightfoot posted a photo of herself barefaced, while everyone around her at the game wore a mask. At the time, both Chicago and Illinois required masks to be worn indoors at all public venues by anyone two years of age or older, regardless of vaccination status.

    Lightfoot also violated mandates in 2020 when she received a haircut despite a stay-at-home order.

    Lightfoot instituted a vaccine mandate while in office, alleging at one point the city’s police union was trying to “induce an insurrection” after officers were told by Fraternal Order of Police Chicago Lodge President John Catanzara to refuse the vaccine mandate.

  7. Nearly 10K photos from Hunter Biden’s laptop hit the web: ‘Truth and transparency’

    A trove of photos from Hunter Biden’s laptop has been made available to the public through a new website that launched Thursday.

    The website – BidenLaptopMedia.com – will house almost 10,000 photos spanning from 2008 to 2019 and took months to complete, Garrett Ziegler, the founder of nonprofit Marco Polo, told Fox News Digital.

    “It’s taken us a couple of months to, one, go through the photos, about 10,000 of them, and redact the genitalia on the photos,” Ziegler, a former Trump White House aide, said of the contents found on the laptop once owned by President Biden’s son.

    “The number one thing we’re about… is truth and transparency,” he said. “If the American people want to know what their first family is like, they’re going to get it. And we’re not going to be taking out photos that paint the Bidens in a good light.”

  10. Biden Admin Unveils $1.5 Million Effort To ‘Empower’ Female Climate Activists in Northern Kenya

    African nation’s ‘patriarchal’ society means women aren’t involved in fight against climate change, USAID argues

    The Biden administration plans to spend $1.5 million in taxpayer funds on a program aimed at “empowering” female climate change activists in northern Kenya, documents reviewed by the Washington Free Beacon show.

    President Joe Biden’s U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) on May 22 unveiled the funding opportunity, which is aimed at “empowering women to adapt to climate change in northern Kenya.” Women in the area, the agency wrote in its notice, live in “traditionally patriarchal communities” and therefore lack the ability to steer the African nation’s fight against climate change . As such, the agency is putting big money behind a program that will “empower women, improve their participation in decision making, and enhance adaptive capabilities to climate change.”

    The funding announcement comes roughly one year after USAID released its 2022-2030 climate strategy, which outlines a $150 billion “whole-of-Agency approach” to building an “equitable world with net-zero greenhouse gas emissions.” As part of that approach, USAID pledged to help “women, youth, and other marginalized and/or underrepresented groups” increase their “meaningful participation and active leadership in climate action.” The agency has since set aside millions of dollars to inspire and support overseas climate activists—in addition to its northern Kenya grant, USAID in March announced a program that will help disabled people in the Central Asian country of Tajikistan become “climate leaders,” the Free Beacon reported.

    Those efforts have prompted criticism from congressional Republicans, who argue that the spending is a waste of taxpayer funds. Florida Republican senator Rick Scott in March said American tax dollars “should be supporting Americans, not overseas climate activists,” while Virginia Republican congressman Ben Cline hammered Biden for using public funds “to build an army of Green New Deal activists around the world.” Still, USAID’s northern Kenya grant shows the agency has no plans to slow its spending on foreign climate activism.

    USAID said the grant will “help farmers and other vulnerable groups better prepare for climate impacts in a region hit hard by climate change.”

    “Women are an integral part of the solution to the climate crisis. They are typically responsible for securing the energy and water needs of their households, the managers of livestock or poultry, and the cooks in the family kitchens,” an agency spokesperson said. “Women also often have fewer rights and economic opportunities in the places USAID works, and we work to ensure they benefit from U.S. assistance.”

    The agency’s climate-focused work in Kenya reflects the Biden administration’s government-wide mandate to fight climate change. In January 2021, just one week after taking office, Biden issued an executive order calling on all government agencies to “combat the climate crisis with bold, progressive action.” Federal agencies that have seemingly nothing to do with climate change responded by releasing “Climate Action Plans.” Biden’s Department of Veterans Affairs, for example, in August 2021 unveiled its climate plan, which pledges to respond to the “projected impacts of climate change” by making its buildings more “climate-resilient.”

    USAID, meanwhile, is not the only Biden administration agency working to spur climate activism abroad. Biden’s State Department earlier this month announced a $50,000 effort to create a “climate action podcast” in India, the Free Beacon reported. The department hopes the podcast will inspire Indian “changemakers” to live “lifestyles with more sustainable choices” and “see the United States as a source of partnership and leadership in protecting the planet.”

    USAID’s focus on climate change has come under former Obama administration official Samantha Power, whom Biden tapped to lead the agency in January 2021. Power, who in August 2021 declared that “climate change is sexist,” has used her USAID climate work to travel the world—in March, for example, Power filmed a correspondence from a Vietnamese fish farm that she said is “already feeling the effects of climate change.”

    Power’s climate emphasis has in some cases seemed to keep the Biden administration official from discussing more pressing humanitarian issues. In February, for example, Power met with Iraq’s foreign minister. USAID’s subsequent readout of the sitdown did not mention the words “ISIS” or “terrorism” but did praise Iraq for its work addressing the “impacts of climate change.” Power’s climate-related work in Tajikistan, meanwhile, comes as the former Soviet republic partners with China to build military bases and conduct joint military drills.

      Let’s take a look at USAID, the United States Agency for International Development.

      The first thing to know: the agency is run out of the State Department. Its pubic relations cover is to provide “international development.” This is code for fomenting regime change and undermining elected governments not on-script with the neoliberal agenda.

      Second point: USAID is basically a cutout for CIA activity… “plant operatives in every kind of activity we had overseas; government, volunteer, religious, every kind.”

      REAL OR SCAM? On the surface, @SamanthaJPower, the former journalist turned
      @USAID administrator, appears to be spending hundreds of millions of American dollars in Africa to rescue those “poor” people from hell.

      However, when I wrote her office to inquire about how the money was being spent after last week’s announcement, they refused to respond, raising questions about whether the funds were reaching the people in need or simply being used to enrich American NGOs and their associates.

      As someone who was born in Africa, I have never received any assistance from
      @PowerUSAID or USAID, and I do not personally know anyone who has benefited from their support. I have often suspected that it’s all a scam on the American people and should be terminated, as it seems no real African in need is benefiting.

      It’s disheartening that while we rightfully get angry about those who loot stores being let off the hook, the individuals handling billions of dollars of American money that never reaches anyone are the ones being celebrated.

      I may be mistaken, and perhaps USAID isn’t a fraud or simply a means to advance CIA interests in Africa, as some suggest.

      Nonetheless, it is shocking that no African I know, whether here in the US or in Africa, has ever received any assistance from this program. And now that they refuse to answer questions, it becomes clear that there is a lack of transparency.

      I’m not saying that Americans are being deceived, but it certainly has never helped any African that I know of. She should resign.

    Three Murders Every Hour: South African Farmers Set up Safe Havens as Crime Explodes

    Three murders take place every hour in South Africa, according to the latest crime statistics. Members of the Afrikaner Freedom Front Plus engaged in a gunfight with robbers in Meyerton. Former Springbok rugby star Lukas van Biljon was stabbed numerous times and his 70-year-old father shot to death. A farmer was tortured for 13 hours in the Eastern Cape but survived. Afrikaners are establishing “anchor communities” where they can provide their own security and live safely.

    Freedom Front Plus Community Safety Committee member Kobus Hoffman and Pierre Wheeler were in their office in Loch Street, Meyerton, on Monday, May 29, when they heard people calling for help from an adjacent building, reports South Africa Today. “They ran to the building and came upon about six robbers busy robbing a jewellery shop. A gunfight broke out between the robbers and the FF Plus members. After which the robbers made off with 600 silver rings and gold chains in a white Mercedes Benz.”

    Crime continues to spiral out of control in the Rainbow Nation, according to the latest crime statistics. 6 289 murders were reported in the first quarter of 2023, in comparison to 6 083 last year. 27 066 people were murdered in the year 2022, 2 256 per month or 76 every day. That means three murders every hour in South Africa.

    Other violent crimes that rose sharply include attempted murder (8,3%), assault (7,6%), robbery (8,9%) and armed robbery (5,1%). Farm murders decreased from 17 murders in the first three months of last year to 9 this year. “The fact that farmers increasingly implement measures to ensure their own safety must be taken into account here”, writes Dr. Pieter Groenewald of Freedom Front Plus. 77 farm attacks took place in the first three months of 2023.

    While crime continues to spiral out of control in South Africa, the infamous farm attacks have declined, due in large part to community organizing and firearms training conducted in the Boer community.

    AfriForum: Farm Murders and Attacks in South Africa for 2019-2022

    On May 27 at around midnight, André van Biljon (69) was shot three times in the chest and hand by six armed men on his smallholding at Oranjeville in the Free State province. His son, Springbok rugby star Lukas van Biljon (47) was also attacked and stabbed several times. “The 6ft 2 former hooker (Rugby center) was woken with a 9mm pistol to his head and in a brief struggle was stabbed a number of times until he was told by the gang they had his sons. They warned him his three boys would be shot dead if he tried to resist”, the Daily Mail reports. “Meanwhile his brave father Andre had made a run to reach a radio to alert his fellow farmers that they were under attack but was spotted and shot three times. The bullets hit him in the chest and he was rushed in critical condition to the Pelonomi Hospital in Bloemfontein but lost his fight for life at 1.30pm Tuesday.” Two suspects, Khanye Muthi (32) and Latin Mofokeng (42) were arrested at a roadblock and appeared in Heilbron Magistrates Court on 29 May 2023. Incredibly, the two murder suspects have applied for bail. The case was postponed to 5 June 2023.

    On May 24 at 4 pm, farmer Tienie and his wife were ambushed by four armed attackers as they arrived at their farm house near Kerksdorp in the Northwest Province. The attackers were armed with hand guns, assaulted the couple and tied them up. The farm house was ransacked and a number of items including firearms were robbed. The couple’s ordeal lasted until 9:30 pm when the attackers fled in their stolen Isuzu pickup.

    On May 17, near Senekal in the Free State, Damie and Zelda Stemmett were overpowered by six attackers armed with pistols and rifles, who raided the home for valuables. Local farmers were alerted and engaged the fleeing attackers. No one was injured. A pickup was hit by a bullet. One of the attackers was arrested.

    On May 16, four masked attackers entered a farm house near Hermanus in the Western Cape, shot and injured the dog, and threatened and tied up a woman (53). The attacker ransacked the house, stole jewelery and other items and fled in her Toyota pick-up.

    On April 26 at 6 pm, Francis Davidson (74) was attacked in his farmhouse in Maclear in the Eastern Cape and tortured over 13 hours. Three attackers assaulted Davidson, tied him up, beat him with a blunt object, burned him with candle wax and dragged him around the yard. The attackers fixed themselves dinner and stayed until 7 am the next morning, when they fled in his pickup. He was found by a neighbor on 27 April 2023, still tied up, lying on the floor. Davidson survived a farm attack seven years ago in the same house. Two attackers aged 23 and 34 were arrested May 2 and found with a number of stolen items

    Out of 77 farm attacks in the first quarter 2023, only 9 suspects were arrested. “The fact that so few suspects are apprehended creates a greater possibility that those not apprehended will launch attacks again,” says AfriForum Community Safety spokesman Jacques Broodryk. “AfriForum appeals to people who live and work in rural areas to empower themselves. In the past few years, AfriForum’s local safety structures have launched a comprehensive campaign to empower communities through training. This includes, among other things, training in first aid and safe firearm handling along with safety assessment on farm dwellings,” concludes Broodryk.

    Writing on IM 1776, AfriForum Campaigns Officer Ernst van Zyl describes the strategy of “community-based, decentralized, state-proof solutions” as South Africa is “teetering” on the brink of collapse, with almost daily black-outs of up to 12 hours. Emigration “is not a long-term option” for most Afrikaners, van Zyl writes, as it would lead to the eradication of 370-year-old Afrikaner culture.

    “Where your people live in high concentrations, you can start to create a reality. Homesteading can be a workable solution for a household, but it cannot save a community, a culture or a civilization. With these realities in mind, AfriForum has identified towns, cities and regions where large numbers of Afrikaners already reside”, Van Zyl writes.

    “Through the organization and development of such anchor communities, we are creating safe harbors for Afrikaners where they can live securely, with the guarantee of basic services like water and electricity, a functional sewage system, and effective security structures; where their children can receive education in their mother tongue and learn about their history; where the elderly can retire in peace; where Afrikaner heritage, monuments, and statues are appreciated, preserved, and new ones erected.”

    Van Zyl cites the example of the Afrikaner community of Orania set up in 1991, which is entirely self-sufficient and has virtually no crime. AfriForum has identified “14 viable anchor communities in Pretoria” which “have the potential to form a cultural canton.” The goal is to “establish stable points of order in which communities can survive and ultimately thrive”, Van Zyl writes.

    “With the deterioration of government capacity also comes growing opportunities for decentralization of power and creating facts on the ground. Our strategy involves the creation of a reality so resilient that the government has no choice but to recognize it as legitimate. With neighborhood watches, for example, we grow them to a point where we can simply inform the state of their existence and offer assistance and cooperation where possible. If AfriForum waited for a formal government green light to establish our neighborhood watches, we would still have a total of zero neighborhood watches, instead of 165+, our current numbers.”

    “The battle between chaos and order in South Africa is only just beginning,” Van Zyl writes. “A huge responsibility now rests on our shoulders, and we must be willing to risk failure. For in the great historical relay race where the stakes are high, the enemy is unforgiving and the result is final, every generation only gets one chance to grasp the baton and safely hand it over to the next. Our cooperative actions, not those of an isolated few, will determine our legacy and the length of our chapter in the annals of history.”

    Rep. Comer told Maria Bartiromo that dirty FBI Director Chris Wray told Comer he did not have the damning Joe Biden bribery document until James Comer told him he had already seen it.

My experience with getting documents from the FBI, when they’re redacted it’s all black lines. They don’t show you anything. But I’m going to say on this show.     Gal Luft, the missing whistleblower in the Biden Crime Family corruption investigation, is now speaking out.

    The Gateway Pundit previously reported that Luft vanished from Cyprus in April under mysterious circumstances. He is now living as a fugitive in undisclosed foreign location.

    Luft was an adviser to CEFC China Energy (CEFC), a business conglomerate with extremely close ties to the Chinese Communist Party. He served alongside Hunter Biden.

    CEFC Energy paid Hunter approximately $5 million in 2017 alone to secure energy deals in the United States according to the Washington Free Beacon.

    Luft was arrested back in February on what he called bogus weapon trafficking charges on orders from the Biden regime. Once Joe Biden assumed power, there was every reason to keep details on his and his family’s corruption hidden from the public.

    Luft explained to the New York Post’s Miranda Levine he fled Cyprus because he wanted to escape political prosecution and knew he would not get a fair trial in Washington DC.

    The chances of me getting a fair trial in DC are zero.

    I was charged for a thought crime. I was asked by a bona fide arms dealer, an Israeli friend, to inquire with a company I knew if they had an item and what would be the price of an item. This is where the conspiracy ended.

    No follow-up, no money, no brokering activity.

    Luft did not explain to Devine how he escaped from Cyprus because he did not want to get people in trouble.

    Luft went on to tell the journalist that the date of his extradition order to America (November 1, 2022) was highly suspicious because it was seven days before the midterm elections when the Republicans were expected to win control of the House (which they narrowly did). Once in control, they were expected to investigate the corruption rampant within Biden family.

    He also told Devine that House Republicans were preparing to interview him before he disappeared.

    When it was clear the Republicans are going to win the House or the Senate, all of a sudden comes [GOP Rep. James] Comer and [GOP Rep. Jim] Jordan and the game is changing. There will be questions and subpoenas and investigations [so] they [the administration] have to discredit me. I never thought of coming forward. Through 2020 I sat quiet like a fish …

    I didn’t want to get caught up in this game, but when they arrested me, I had no choice but to blow it up.

    The New York Post previously revealed that Luft learned about some highly explosive information: someone was selling sealed U.S. law enforcement information to Chinese individuals.

    His attorney claimed that Ye Jianming, founder and chairman of CEFC-USA, a nonprofit created by the China Energy Fund Committee, told Luft that Hunter Biden had an informant in the FBI to tip him off to the China probes. They paid lots of money to provide sealed law enforcement information.

    The FBI mole was reportedly named “One-Eye.” The mole tipped off Hunter’s CEFC business partners Patrick Ho and Ye Jianming that they were under investigation.

    Soon after that tipoff, Levine reported Ye offered Hunter $1 million to be his “private counsel” and flew to China, leaving his wife, daughter, son, mother, and nanny in his $50 million penthouse at 15 Central Park West.

    He was detained in Shanghai three months later and disappeared.

    Ho told Luft that Hunter and Jim Biden flew to Hong Kong in the fall of 2017 to meet him.

    They were behaving very suspiciously and changing phones. Ye said send a million dollars and those guys will take care of you.

    Luft told Levine that he shared this explosive information with the FBI along with the fact Biden family associate Rob Walker was involved in distributing payments. But the FBI sat on this explosive information.

    They were sitting on all the information. No new information as needed after they had the laptop plus my proffer yet they wasted another year and did nothing so … now there is a guy who can shed light on the cover-up and they arrest him.

    In today’s edition of why no one takes disgraced CNN seriously, the outlet is celebrating women who are marrying themselves because no one else wants to.

    After 2015’s Supreme Court ruling in Obergefell v. Hodges — in which the then-activist court legislated same-sex marriage was legal everywhere — the left told Americans that attacks on marriage would end there.

    Love is love, they said.

    These people declared that when two consenting adults committed to one another, they should be allowed to marry in the same manner as men and women have for centuries.

  16. Biden’s Border Crisis: Five Illegal Aliens Charged in Murder of 15-Year-Old Boy

    President Joe Biden’s inability to control the situation at the nation’s southern border is having real, painful consequences that he can no longer afford to ignore.

    On Wednesday, police in Frederick, Maryland, announced they had arrested and charged five men in the murder of a teenage boy, whose remains were found in a state park two months after he went missing in February.

    The five men — Alexis Alfredo Ayala Lopez, 21; Jose Roberto Ramos Lopez, 23; Ismael Lopez Lopez, 29; Elmer Bladimir Reyes Reyes, 27; and Ismael Ivan Rivera Canales, 20 — are illegal immigrants connected with the notorious gang MS-13, according to WTTG-TV in Washington.

    On Feb. 25, 15-year-old Limber Jocimar Lopez Funez was reported missing in Frederick, which is about 40 miles northwest of D.C. A day later, police found evidence that someone had been assaulted in a nearby wooded area.

    They searched for him for two months until his remains were found April 24 in Gambrill State Park, a few miles outside of the city.

    All five of the MS-13 gang members have been charged with first-degree murder in the teenager’s death.

    In a statement Wednesday, Frederick Police Chief Jason Lando said, “On behalf of the entire team at FPD, our hearts go out to the victim’s family. While we know it will not bring Limber back, we hope the arrests in this case will offer some closure to the Lopez Funez family.”

    This murder of a 15-year-old is horrific, and it’s even worse given that he might still be alive today had the Biden administration done its job and kept the U.S.-Mexico border secure.

    Instead, Biden has flung the border wide open, and it is putting American citizens at risk.

    Earlier this month, the Biden administration allowed the Trump-era Title 42 restrictions to expire, which resulted in a massive influx of migrants heading toward the border.

    This added strain on an already overwhelmed border security force struggling to deal with an unprecedented immigration crisis.

    But while communities along the southern border struggle to deal with the influx, there are also very real national security risks that are posed by Biden’s reckless actions.

    Funez’s murder is only the latest in a string of violent attacks and other crimes by illegal immigrants.

    With the border open, dangerous people — including MS-13 gang members — are getting into the country.

    The situation becomes even more worrisome when you realize that people from hostile countries such as China are taking advantage of the chaos in order to get into the country.

    The fact of the matter is, the Biden administration has completely failed in its basic duty to keep Americans safe, and it needs to be held accountable for its actions.

    A 65-year-old man who gunned down an armed thug in self-defense has been inexplicably charged by radical prosecutors.

    Charles Foehner was threatened and backed into a corner by a disturbed 32-year-old man named Cody Gonzalez who intended to rob. He had no choice but to shoot the crazed young man after he lunged at him with a weapon.

    Police authorities said the incident occurred in a driveway on 82nd Avenue in Kew Gardens at around 2 a.m. Wednesday.

    Eyewitness News reviewed surveillance video showing a clear-cut case of self-defense on Foehner’s part. The tape first shows Gonzalez confronting the Foehner from roughly 40 feet away and reportedly demanding cash and cigarettes.

    Violence against women was a recurrent theme throughout the night: “Women are being assaulted. Let’s not sugarcoat this,” one woman said.

    Hundreds of Oaklanders demanded answers and action from city leaders Tuesday night amid recent sprees of violent crime that have increasingly targeted women.

    “It’s all women,” said one local resident who described being attacked outside her North Oakland home earlier this month.

    “Two kids beat the shit of me in front of my house last Monday night,” she said. “Down on the pavement. Punching me, kicking me, dragging me through the street.”

    During the robbery attempt, she said, a teenage boy who tried to take her purse had body-slammed her. When he failed to take her to the ground, a teenage girl joined in on the assault.

    “They did not get my purse. I have lungs. And my neighbors heard me and they came out,” she said. “I’m almost 60 years old. I’m one of the old women that just got taken down. And it’s happening everywhere.”
