    • Controversial Work at Paris’s Palais de Tokyo Is Sprayed with Purple Paint by ‘Unhappy’ Visitor

A painting by Miriam Cahn at Paris’s Palais de Tokyo that stirred up right-wing rage made headlines in France once more after it was vandalized Sunday, just days before it was to come down.

The painting, titled “fuck abstraction” , appears in a Cahn show set to finish its controversial run on May 14.

Cahn had made clear that the work was ARESPONSE TO HUMAN RIGHTS ABUSE IN UKRAINE, but conservative politicians and children’s rights groups had claimed it promoted pedophilia.

In the work, Cahn represents a smaller figure whose hands are bound performing a sex act on a taller one.

[…]Guillaume Désanges, president of the Palais de Tokyo, told AFP that fuck abstraction ! would remain on view through the end of the show’s run in agreement with the artist. So far, 80,000 people have seen the exhibition.

On Monday, French President Emmanuel Macron even weighed in on the situation, tweeting, “To attack a work is to attack our values. In France, art is always free and respect for cultural creation is guaranteed.”

Critics have said the victim in the painting depicts a child, which Cahn has denied.

“They are not children,” Cahn insisted. “This painting deals with the way in which sexuality is used as a weapon of war, as a crime against humanity,” she said

Several children’s rights groups had denounced the painting as child pornography, calling for it be withdrawn.

But their bid to have it removed was rejected in the French courts.

    • USA TODAY – Fearing Russian capture, US strips sensitive tech from M1 Abrams tanks headed for Ukraine

WASHINGTON — Earlier this year, the Biden administration relented after months of pleas from Ukraine and agreed to send the country its most lethal armored vehicles: the Abrams tanks. But with Ukraine gearing up for an expected spring counteroffensive in its war with Russia, these powerful tanks are months away from reaching the frontlines of the battlefield. Abrams tanks won’t be part of the initial spring assault.

That is because the tanks are being modified to remove sensitive technology that could fall into the hands of Russian forces. It is a necessary precaution in case the Russians capture one of the vehicles and exploit them for intelligence, U.S. officials and military experts said.

“It may or may not present opportunities for Russia to do testing on it, and to look for vulnerabilities,” said Colin Smith, an expert on the Russian military at the RAND Corp., a non-partisan think tank.

As is the case with other weapons, the U.S. government sends stripped-down versions of its tanks to foreign governments. The Pentagon reserves its highest-end capabilities for U.S. troops. A complicating issue with sending Abrams tanks to Ukraine, officials and experts say, is the probability that one will fall into Russian hands on the battlefield.

Developed during the Cold War, battle-tested in Iraq

Abrams tanks are powerful, fast and heavily armored. Weighing about 70 tons, the Abrams was developed during the Cold War and the first tanks delivered to the Army in 1980. They saw combat in 1991 for the first time during Operation Desert Storm in Iraq.

For this war, the tanks are painted green, a shift from the desert tan familiar after decades of fighting in the Middle East.

This time around, a big concern is armor protection on the more advanced version of the tanks and how that could be breached, Smith said. Unlike the Reaper drone that Russian pilots downed last month over the Black Sea where it broke up and sank in deep water, a damaged tank might be recovered largely intact.

The lower-tech tanks the Ukrainians will receive won’t have sensitive components that the Russians can exploit, according to two U.S. officials who were not authorized to speak publicly about the issue. Both tanks share the same, powerful 120mm gun, but the more advanced M1A2 has improvements, including targeting systems.

In January, the Pentagon announced plans to ship 31 Abrams M1A2 tanks to Ukraine after months of requests from the Ukrainians. They want modern armor to claw back territory Russia had seized since it launched its invasion in February 2022. A Ukrainian offensive is expected to begin within weeks.

In March, the Pentagon announced plans to speed the deployment by supplying a less-sophisticated version of the tank, the M1A1, saying those vehicles could be refurbished more quickly. The tanks, and armored vehicles needed to recover damaged ones from the battlefield, should be ready for combat in Ukraine by fall.

Meantime, fighting in eastern Ukraine, where the tanks will be sent, has been bloody and brutal. Since December, 20,000 Russian soldiers have been killed in fighting there and another 80,000 wounded, according to the White House. The Russians have also had thousands of tanks and armored personnel carriers destroyed or captured.

Some military officials say the needed retrofitting is not delaying the deployment. Even if the tanks were ready today, the Ukrainians would not be ready to take them into combat, said Army Col. Martin O’Donnell, spokesperson for U.S. Army Europe and Africa. The troops need about 10 weeks of training, which is set to begin later this month in Germany.

      Tanks on a fast track

In actuality, the M1A1 tanks are on a fast track for Ukraine, O’Donnell said. It can take years to refit a major weapons system like a tank.

Ukrainian troops will train on tanks similar to those being refitted for them in the United States.

“We’re moving as quickly as possible,” O’Donnell said.

Sen. Tom Cotton scoffed at the Pentagon’s definition of speedy deployment. During an Armed Services Committee hearing April 27. Cotton, R-Arkansas, chided the Biden administration for dragging its feet in supplying Ukraine with weaponry, including tanks.

“I think we could supply them faster than eight or nine months, if there was the political will,” Cotton said.

Still, some in the military warn that the tanks are not the be all and end-all for Ukraine to defeat Russia.

Abrams tanks will give Ukraine an edge but not the decisive one, Army Gen. Mark Milley, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff said last month at a meeting of Ukraine’s allies in Germany.

“There is no silver bullet in this case, Miley said. “But I do think the M1 tank, when it’s delivered and it reaches its operational capability, that it will be very effective on the battlefield.”

    • the telegraph UK –EU diverts road-building funds into £1.7bn Ukraine ammunition plan

Central budget resources usually set aside for infrastructure projects in poorer countries will now boost arms production

Brussels is set to use funds normally reserved for building roads and airports in poorer EU states to boost weapons production across the bloc.

On Wednesday, the EU took the unprecedented step of ending a long-held ban on using resources from its central budget to provide cash to the arms industry.

It is part of the EU’s €2 billion (£1.76 billion) armament programme to manufacture one million 155mm artillery shells to supply Ukraine and replenish national stockpiles that have been depleted in the wake of Russia’s invasion last year.

Under the scheme, dubbed “ASAP”, the European Commission would release €500 million (£440 million) to help ramp up production capacity at factories producing ammunition and missiles inside the EU.

Member states would then be allowed to supplement that money from the EU’s so-called cohesion funds – programmes that are used to develop poorer parts of the bloc and connect them with their richer neighbours.

In the past, billions of euros were spent by the scheme to develop airports in Greece, Italy, Spain, Poland and Estonia, as well as build roads, in a bid to narrow the poverty gap.

Sources said the move could be highly controversial with member states that believe EU law prohibits funding for defence purposes.

The EU’s ruling treaty prohibits “expenditure arising from operations having military or defence implications”.

Ireland, Austria and Malta are neutral states, while Hungary has so far refused to provide weapons to Ukraine because of its close ties with Russia.

Thierry Breton, the European Commissioner responsible for ramping up weapons production, told a news conference: “Our analysis is that it is totally compatible with the treaty.

“Yes, investing in our defence will allow us to defend our democracy. And this is what we need to say to our fellow citizens.”

The senior EU figure, an ally of Emmanuel Macron who shares the French president’s opposition to UK and US firms taking part in the scheme, said governments could spend on arms factories if the funding fosters “skills and employment” in deprived regions.

“We cannot be naive,” Mr Breton warned critics.

“It’s our responsibility to make sure that we do whatever we can to continue to protect ourselves together.”

Commission officials said the plans still need to be fleshed out before countries will find out how much could be used to boost weapons production.

The European Parliament must also vote on the proposals before they become a reality.

The Battle for Bakhmut / Artemovsk and the area near it has been raging for almost a year.
During this the the private military company Wagner has been pushing Ukrainian forces out of the city bit by bit.

During this time the leader of Wagner, Yevgeny Prigozhin, has regularly come out against the Russian minister of Defense saying that wagner is not being suplied with enough supplies.

This week it has hit a new high of aggression.

Prigozhin filmed a video with the dead bodies of Wagner soldiers and said that Wagner will be leaving Bakhmut / Artemovsk on the 10th of May and turn over control of the city to the Russian Army.

Since then there has been alot of changing information coming out but as the last information it seems Wagner will not be leaving the city but only time will tell.

In this report I head to the area of Bakhmut / Artemovsk and make it into the city of Solidar and see the battle raging in Bakhmut.

I found that in fact Wagner has already turned over control of part of the city of Solidar to the Russian Army.

  4. Julie Kelly: The DOJ Is Going to Indict Trump – May Put Him in Prison Until His Trial (VIDEO)
    By Jim Hoft May. 8, 2023 11:00 am240 Comments

Investigative reporter Julie Kelly joined Jesse Kelly on his podcast this past weekend. During their discussion, Julie Kelly described the implications of the Proud Boys trial that ended last week.

The DC kangaroo court found all five of the Proud Boys members guilty on Friday. Four of the members were found guilty of the junk charge of “seditious conspiracy.”

The jury agreed that the government proved the existence of seditious conspiracy (a complete joke).
Proud Boy Ethan Nordean – guilty of seditious conspiracy
Proud Boy Joe Biggs – guilty of seditious conspiracy
Proud Boy Zachary Rehl – guilty seditious conspiracy
Proud Boy founder Enrique Tarrio – guilty of seditious conspiracy
Proud Boy Dominic Pezzola – spared seditious conspiracy because leftist jurors could not come to agreement

Brain Surgeon – Do This to Relieve Tinnitus and Hearing Loss (Try Tonight)
Simple Trick Helps Restore Vision So Fast, You’ll Throw Away Your Glasses
The FBI created and planted evidence in the Proud Boys’ group chat. The kangaroo court ignored this truth.

Julie Kelly told Jesse Kelly this is the next step in their plan to get President Trump.

Jesse Kelly: Julie, give it to us right between the eyes. They wouldn’t actually put Donald Trump in prison, right? A former president, you don’t think they’ll go that far, right?

Julie Kelly: I absolutely do. And I’ll go even deeper between the eyes, Jesse, when he is indicted for if he’s indicted, of suspicious conspiracy, which I think the chances of that just increase tremendously. Today, I can see Jack Smith seeking pretrial detention for Donald Trump, which is exactly what they’ve done in every defendant who’s been charged with seditious conspiracy. So now they have a precedent for these courts to sign off on pretrial detention orders, meaning denied bail. You will be held in prison until your trial commences. I’ve watched these judges and prosecutors more than anyone on this side, but nothing will surprise me. And in fact, I’m sure they’re just chomping at the bit right now, waiting to present this information to the grand jury, seeking seditious, conspiracy, indictment, and then, shockingly, seeking to keep Donald Trump in jail, particularly as he is campaigning for President, pretending that he poses a grave security risk to the American people as he’s campaigning and facing these very serious charges.

Jesse Kelly: Truly, this country is going to come apart if that happens, right? Or am I overstating it?

Julie Kelly: I don’t know, Jesse, aside from you and a few other commentators and this is the day, really, will Miss Tucker as well? No one on our side is paying attention to this. No one cares. They think the Proud boys are domestic terrorists and that they deserve what happened to them. Trust me, they did not. This is a horrible travesty for these defendants and especially their family members, but this creates a real slippery slope for the country overall. Will the country fall apart or come apart if Donald Trump is indicted on this? I don’t know. Where are the fighters on our side? We are so outnumbered and so outgunned. It’s just hard for me to predict the reaction when that happens.

    https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2023/05/julie-kelly-the-doj-is-going-to-indict-trump-and-put-him-in-prison-until-his-trial-video/

(Richard: I don’t doubt that the corrupt DOJ and the other corrupt Prosecutors along with the DNC want Trump held without bond. The deciding factor is going to be what will the Secret Service allow? They wouldn’t allow coffs, perp walk or jail in New York so why does anyone think they will here.

Having said that they will probably allow home detention with an ankle monitor. This will keep him off the live campaign trail but will allow jumbotron appearance at rallies. If this happens we will see massive support for President Trump and a massive increase in voter turnout.

It is still early in the campaign, many things can happen and given the crooked tricks in the last two elections 2024 is going to be a real dirty election.)

    • the telegraph UK – MAY 08 2023 – Scientists linked to Wuhan lab back in business as US renews grant for natural origins research

‘We have a lot of human serum samples in the freezers around Southeast Asia and they will provide clues,’ says EcoHealth

The US government has resumed its funding of EcoHealth Alliance, the pioneering but controversial research organisation whose ties with the Wuhan Institute of Virology were called into question following the outbreak of Covid-19.

EcoHealth, run by the British-born zoologist Peter Daszak, confirmed on Monday that a grant from the prestigious National Institutes of Health (NIH) will be restarted, following its “termination” shortly after the pandemic broke out in 2020 amid a political firestorm.

Under the terms of the grant, EcoHealth will receive $568,370 (£451,581) for each of the next four years to continue its work on “bat-origin coronaviruses” . It has committed, however, not to subcontract work to China, collect new virus samples from the wild or engage in any recombination or so-called “gain of function” research.

The decision to renew the grant is expected to spark heated debate in the US Congress and beyond. It will cause an “absolute s**t storm”, said one academic who asked not to be named.

Dr Daszak said the resumption of NIH funding would enable EcoHealth Alliance to analyse hundreds of animal and human genetic sequences collected ahead of the pandemic which had been archived and were now held in cold storage..

“We’re very pleased that finally, after three and a half years, we’ve been able to get back to work on this critical issue,” he said. “Core to understanding why Covid emerged is why these coronaviruses seem to be able to emerge into people in this region.”

According to the grant award, the main thrust of the research is to “understand what factors allow bat-origin coronaviruses, including close relatives to Sars, to jump into humans” by studying their evolutionary diversity, patterns of spillover and genetic diversity.

The work “will produce reagents and genetic sequences that can be used to test vaccines and therapeutics to fight future pandemics, and hotspot maps that can be used to target surveillance and control measures”, it says.

Dr Daszak said the work was unlikely to show how the pandemic started, although stored human blood human samples held by EcoHealth may provide “clues”.

“We are not going to do any recombinant virus work. We’re not going to subcontract to Wuhan or any other organisation in China but we are going to use the results from our previous work that no one’s had access to,” he said.

He added: “Some of the human samples might give us clues about Covid origins. We do have a lot of human serum samples in the freezers around Southeast Asia, and it may be that some of those show high levels of spillover of SARS-like coronaviruses. But the primary goal is to understand why coronaviruses [present] a high risk of spillover, not to hunt down the origin of Covid.”

      Crucial in bat virus surveillance

Ecohealth was first funded by the NIA in 2014 and produced ground breaking research in its first five years. The group was the first to identify bats as the wildlife reservoir of SARS-CoV and repeatedly warned ahead of the pandemic that a spillover to humans was probable.

Its grant was renewed for a further five years in 2019 only to be stopped a year later amid fierce anti-China rhetoric from the Trump administration in the early days of the pandemic. The termination came just a week after President Donald Trump, when asked about the project at a press conference, said: “We will end that grant very quickly.”

A review of the grant published last year by the US Office of the Inspector General found infringements in the administration of the contract but concluded its early termination had been “improper”.

Supporters included more than 80 former Nobel Laureates who signed a letter to the NIH calling for the funding to be resumed.

“We believe that this action sets a dangerous precedent by interfering in the conduct of science,” they wrote. “Now is precisely the time when we need to support this kind of research if we aim to control the pandemic and prevent subsequent ones.”

Nobel Laureate Sir Richard Roberts, who organised the letter, welcomed news of the new NIH funding and blamed political pressure and weak leadership for it being stopped in the first place.

“Unfortunately, NIH is subjected to political pressure from time to time, but mainly when they have a weak Director, who is afraid to stand up to the politicians,” he told The Telegraph.

“If Francis Collins [then NIH Director] had any balls he would have resigned before allowing the EcoHealth Alliance grant to be cut.”

Sir Richard added: “EcoHealth Alliance has been a very important component of our surveillance of bat viruses … Their programs are an important part of the world’s scientific efforts to identify potential pathogens and whenever possible to nip them in the bud.”

The resumption of the grant comes at an exciting time for research into the origins of SARS-CoV-2, with several important papers having been published in recent months.

Genomic data recently released by a team led by Dr George Gao, the former head of China’s Centers for Disease Control, showed DNA from suspect wildlife, including raccoon dogs, was mixed with Covid-positive samples collected in the Huanan wet market shortly after it was closed in January 2020. The data are not a smoking gun but show animals capable of catching and spreading SARS-Cov-2 were in the market – something the Chinese authorities had originally denied.

A second important study published in March showed that people living in remote parts of southeast asia are picking up a range of respiratory viruses carried by bats and pangolins through work in remote areas including logging, hunting, mining and farming. Of 693 people screened by a team in Myanmar between July 2017 and February 2020, 12.1 per cent had antibodies to such viruses in their blood.

“Antibodies against RaTG13 were the most identified antibodies among all sarbecovirus exposures identified in this study”, said the authors. “RaTG13 is the closest known relative to SARS-CoV-2.”

Last week a third study which looked at 112 bats, collected from Hainan Province, China, discovered a distant relative of SARS-CoV-2 in the wild with a number of near identical structures including a furin cleavage site – something that some had contended could only be engineered in a lab.

“This study deepens our understanding of the diversity of coronaviruses and provides clues about the natural origin of the furin cleavage site of SARS-CoV-2,” said the authors.

The process whereby novel pathogens are picked up by humans from wildlife in remote parts of southeast asia had previously been predicted by models published by EcoHealth. It estimates coronaviruses carried by bats infect around 66,000 people in the region every year.

Most infections die out naturally either because the virus has not evolved to spread efficiently or because the community is too remote. However, the possibility of a wider outbreak is always a danger with logging, fur farms, wet markets and other, as yet unknown, factors increasing the risk.

Dr Stuart Neil, professor of virology at King’s College London, welcomed news of the new funding, saying more research was needed if we are to prevent future outbreaks.

“It’s happened twice in 20 years. There’s no reason why it won’t happen again,” he said. “Understanding where these viruses are, the hosts they’re in and how they are interacting with the environment in such a way they come into contact with us is incredibly important.”

  6. Biden Regime Escalates War on Household Appliances to Advance “Climate Change” Agenda -Releases Crippling Rules Targeting Dishwashers – Crackdowns on Washers, Dryers and Refrigerators Also Under Consideration
    By Cullen Linebarger May. 8, 2023 1:00 pm99 Comments

The Biden Regime apparently wants all Americans to return to the days where Americans washed their clothes and hung them outside.

The Department of Energy (DOE) released devastating rules to dramatically slash water and energy use limits for Americans’ dishwashers below current levels.

Here is the DOE’s full scheme via Fox News:

The proposal would limit dishwashers to using 3.2 gallons of water per cycle, far below the current federal limit of 5 gallons. The rules would also require manufacturers to reduce their products’ energy consumption by nearly 30%.

Most dishwashers on the market are already well below the federal standard of 5 gallons, with most using 3.5 gallons per cycle or less.

The news only gets worse for American homeowners, however. Fox News also reveals the Regime is strongly considering brutal crackdowns on even more household appliances including washers, refrigerators, and dryers.

Manufacturers note these rules will have a crippling impact on performance.

The Department of Energy makes crystal clear these new rules are coming in order to advance Biden’s radical “climate change” agenda.

Collectively these energy efficiency actions … support President Biden’s ambitious clean energy agenda to combat the climate crisis.

This all marks the next step in the Regime’s efforts to completely alter our way of life. Recall that in February, The Gateway Pundit’s Cristina Laila reported the Feds were considering a complete ban on gas stoves in America.

Biden officials later tried obfuscate to tamp down on the national uproar before partially admitting the truth in March saying the want to ban “some” gas stoves. New York in late April followed the Regime’s signals and became the first state to ban gas stoves.

While ordinary Americans will suffer from these horrific rule changes should they go into affect, the wealthy and powerful will remain unaffected. Rules are only for little people, you see.

  7. Highly Respected Ex-Prosecutor Brought “Explosive” Joe Biden Bribery Allegations Involving Foreign Nationals to Department of Justice in 2018 – DOJ Ignored Allegations and Retaliated Against Prosecutor in a Very Sinister Way

Jim Hoft reported on Wednesday that Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer (R-KY) sent letters to the FBI, demanding the bureau to produce an unclassified record of an alleged criminal scheme involving then-Vice President Biden and a foreign national.

On Sunday, a New York Post report revealed that “explosive” bribery allegations involving Joe Biden and foreign nationals were brought to the Department of Justice back in 2018.

This was two years before very similar allegations against the Biden were made by the whistleblower now talking to the House Oversight Committee.

On Wednesday, The Gateway Pundit’s Jim Hoft reported that Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer (R-KY) sent letters to the FBI, demanding the bureau to produce an unclassified record of an alleged criminal scheme involving then-Vice President Biden and a foreign national.

According to Just the News, Bud Cummins, a former federal prosecutor, reported the bribery allegations involving Biden and foreign nationals to then-New York US Attorney Geoff Berman on Oct. 4, 2018. Cummins claimed in an email that he had evidence that Joe Biden had “exercised influence to protect” his son’s Ukrainian employer “in exchange for payments to Hunter Biden, Devon Archer, and Joe Biden.”

The email revealed that that Ukraine’s then-Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko wanted to travel to the United States to meet Berman. Once arriving, he could produce and could produce two witnesses to back up his claims about the Biden Crime Family.

But Berman completely ignored the email according to the Daily Mail. Then the corrupt DOJ retaliated in a very sinister way.

On December 9, 2019 federal prosecutors seized data from Cummins’ iPhone with a grand jury subpoena to Apple. The New York Post notes this happened right in the middle of President Trump’s first impeachment trial.

Cummins received the notice late last year, three years after federal authorities first seized his data.

Here is the link to the Apple notice first obtained by Just The News:

Cummins told Just the News that he was befuddled why the DOJ refused to follow up and instead targeted him.

I can’t really imagine a legitimate reason for the DOJ not to follow up on an offer like that. I felt like it was stonewalled.

It doesn’t make much sense to investigate the guy who brings you the allegation rather than the allegation.

Actually, it makes perfect sense because the deep state always protects rich and connected individuals like the Bidens. They prefer to bully nonviolent J6 protesters and peaceful parents objecting to vile propaganda at their children’s schools.

  9. Obama’s Role Enriching Biden and Hillary
    By Assistant Editor May. 8, 2023 10:25 am186 Comments

Guest post by Jerome R. Corsi

No one yet has gone to prison for the billions of dollars of U.S. aid and IMF funding stolen through the auspices of President Obama, Vice Presidents Biden, and Secretaries of State Clinton and Kerry funneled to corrupt Ukrainian oligarch Ihor Kolomoisky in a complicated international money-laundering scheme that involved the State Department, the IMF, and Burisma (on whose board were Hunter Biden and Devon Archer). None of this corruption was possible without President Obama’s willing compliance and the political corruption that keeps the U.S. Department of Justice from criminally indicting Democrats in public office for engaging in international criminal schemes to enrich themselves.

In an interview with MSNBC on October 8, 2019, Biden’s then-campaign spokesperson Kate Bedingfield, while trying to defend Biden, admitted that President Obama knew Ukraine natural gas company Burisma was paying Hunter Biden $50,000 a month while his father, Vice President Biden, oversaw U.S. relations with Ukraine, and did nothing about it.

Obama appears to have wanted to share the profit from holding high elected office in the United States. Obama’s net worth today is approximately $70 million. Obama entered the White House with a net worth estimated at $1.3 million. His annual salary as president was $400,000. Obama turned a blind eye to the Clinton Foundation, which has allegedly been widely documented to have earned the Clintons’ millions by largely ignoring the federal and state accounting rules legitimate charities must follow. Similarly, Obama put Biden in charge of U.S. foreign policy in Ukraine and Russia without keeping a short leash on Biden’s long history of using public office to enrich himself and his family.

Simple Trick Helps Restore Vision So Fast, You’ll Throw Away Your Glasses
Biden had become so accustomed to cashing in on his office that he lost his ethical compass. In a now-infamous recorded appearance at the Council on Foreign Relations on January 23, 2018, Biden made a joke about pressing then-President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko to fire the country’s top prosecutor who was then investigating Hunter Biden’s financial arrangement with Burisma or face the withdrawal of a $1 billion U.S. loan guarantee. “I said, ‘You’re not getting the billion.’ … I looked at them and said, ‘I’m leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money.” Making threats of that nature is, under U.S. law, a form of criminal assault. But acting like a gangster thug, Biden got what he wanted. “Well son of a b****, he got fired. And they put in place someone who was solid at the time.” As always, the Biden family has practiced the art of self-justifying their pursuit of politics for money.

Hillary Clinton’s net worth is estimated at $120 million, much resulting from the $2 billion global empire into which she, Bill, and Chelsea built the Clinton Foundation, including the years when Hillary was secretary of state. In the aftermath of the January 2010 earthquake in Haiti, Secretary Clinton’s State Department pledged $1 billion in aid to Haiti through USAID.

Bill Quigley, then an associate legal director at the Institute for Justice and Democracy in Haiti, and his co-author, Amber Ramanauskas, a lawyer and a human rights researcher, wrote an article titled “Haiti: Where Is the Money?” published by Haiti Action on January 4, 2012. They estimated that international donors had given Haiti some $2 billion in relief aid by then. “But two years later, over half a million people remain homeless in hundreds of informal camps, a majority of the tons of debris from destroyed buildings still lays where it fell, and cholera, a preventable disease, was introduced into the country and is now an epidemic killing thousands and sickening hundreds of thousands more,” they noted. “Haiti today looks like the earthquake happened two months ago, not two years.”

In his 2018 book Secret Empires: How the American Political Class Hides Corruption and Enriches Family and Friends, Peter Schweizer, cofounder and president of the Government Accountability Institute, documented how Biden and then-Secretary of State John Kerry pulled off what Ukrainian anti-corruption watchdog Nashi Groshi described as “an asset siphoning operation.”

Schweizer documented that on April 16, 2014, Devon Archer, the college roommate of Kerry’s stepson, H.J. Heinz, visited the White House to meet with Vice President Biden. Less than a week later, on April 22, 2014, there was a public announcement Burisma had asked Devon Archer to join the board. Three weeks later, on May 13, 2014, Burisma asked Hunter Biden to join the board. Schweizer commented, “Neither Biden nor Archer had any background or experience in the energy sector.”[1] Schweizer noted Archer was part of the Heinz family foundation, a former senior advisor to John Kerry in his 2004 presidential bid, and the cofounder and managing director of Rosemont Seneca Partners, where he partnered with Hunter Biden.

The day before Archer’s appointment to the Burisma board, Vice President Biden arrived in Kyiv to deliver a USAID program to assist the Ukrainian natural gas industry. Soon after, the United States worked with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to get $1.8 billion in taxpayer loans pumped into the Ukrainian economy courtesy of the IMF.[2] In August 2015, the Centre for Research on Globalization in Montreal disclosed that $1.8 billion in IMF Ukraine aid had been deposited into a Cyprus bank account controlled by Ukrainian oligarch Ihor Kolomoisky. The Center for Global Research reported the following:

Ihor Kolomoisky, the former governor of Dnipropetrovsk, is one of Ukraine’s richest businessmen, with a business empire that includes holdings in the energy, media, aviation, chemical and metalwork industries. At the center of Kolomoisky’s wealth is PrivatBank, Ukraine’s largest financial institution, which claimed the bulk—40 percent—of the [IMF] bailout money which had been earmarked for stabilizing the banking industry.

As reported by the Gateway Pundit in 2022, Kolomoisky was the owner of Burisma and the funder/benefactor of Volodymyr Zelensky before he became Ukraine’s president.

Hillary Clinton played a crucial role in the background of the Kolomoisky story. As reported by John Helmer in Moscow, Kolomoisky financed anti-Russian units operating in the Ukrainian civil war in Donbas (started in 2014, expanding into Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, currently ongoing). For his support of Petro Poroshenko’s government in Kyiv and the Obama administration’s drive to get Ukraine into NATO, Kolomoisky received strong support from Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and her Assistant Secretary for European Affairs, Victoria Nuland. Clinton and Nuland dominated the IMF, led by then-managing director Christine Lagarde. Helmer explained:

Following the U.S. regime change [the Maidan Revolution] which installed Poroshenko’s regime in the spring of 2014, the IMF voted massive loans for Ukraine to replace the Russian financing on which the regime of Victor Yanukovych [the Ukrainian president favorable to Russia who fled to Moscow in the aftermath of the Maidan Revolution] had depended. More than a third of the fresh IMF money was paid out by the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU), the state’s central bank, into PrivatBank controlled by Kolomoisky and his partner, Gennady Bogolyubov.

Obama, Clinton, Nuland, Lagarde, and the IMF ignored the evidence piling up that Kolomoisky had stolen the IMF money through a pyramid of front companies that never intended to pay it back.

In 2021, Secretary of State Anthony Blinken designated Kolomoisky and members of his immediate family as ineligible to return to the U.S. due to “his involvement in significant corruption.” On January 20, 2022, the Department of Justice filed a criminal complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida alleging “that more than 6 million in proceeds from the sale of commercial real estate in Dallas, Texas, which property was maintained and improved using the proceeds of embezzlement and fraud from PrivatBank in Ukraine, are subject to forfeiture based on violations of federal money laundering statutes.”

Investigative reporter Jerome Corsi has agreed to write an exclusive series of stories for TGP to explore the exploits of the Biden crime family in depth. Since 2004, Corsi has published over 30 books on economics, history, and politics, including two #1 New York Times bestsellers. 10. Governor Abbott Deploys “Texas Tactical Border Force” In Wake Of Title 42’s End
    By Brock Simmons May. 8, 2023 3:15 pm0 Comments

We’ve all seen the phony virtue signaling from President Biden, as he claims he’s sending troops to the border to protect from illegal aliens. Texas Governor Greg Abbott doesn’t believe it for one second, so he’s activated a part of the Texas National Guard called the Texas Tactical Border Force to “intercept & repel migrants trying to enter Texas illegally.”

The 1,500 troops are assembling on the border, along with hardware including Hummers, C-130’s, and Black Hawk helicopters.

Governor Abbott went on Fox News to explain further, saying “We are deploying today, a new Texas Tactical Border Force made up of elite national guard who are specifically trained for one thing, and that is to identify areas where illegal immigrants are trying to cross the border, and to fill that gap and to repel them to deny them access to entry into the United States.”

He went on to add that the force is constructing wire barriers along the border.

Here’s an apparent floor-level look at the scene:

Spoke to a lady in her 40s today, a complete stranger, stops and talks to me about how she is having problems with her eyesight. She explains that her and others where she works had to get the vaccine or be fired. Now they all have various problems, many with their eyesight. She said she only had 2 shots and refused any more, but still many she works with are ill. She asked me how many shots I have had and I said none. She started to look a little teary eyed and told me I was smart.

I told her about having to wait many many months for someone to look at my detached retina during the lockdowns and she told me she hopes to someday see Trudeau, Freeland and many others pay for what they have done.

I told her I am now going to a private clinic to see if I can get something done so I might see out of my eye. I told her I would have to pay for it, but I don’t care anymore. She looked so sad, beaten down, worried about her health. She told me she had never been sick before she got the shots and now every week there is something new to her list of health woes. As she was walking away, she thanked me for listening and told me she was proud of me for resisting. I smiled, wished her well, and told her I was happy she resisted anymore shots.

Lots of fancy dancers in the medical profession who promoted fear, the virus and the shots. Methinks they did not know nothin about nothin, but they practiced and practiced just in case there ever was a pandemic, at least that is their story for this week.

    • I have a couple of older friends who went to an annual banquet for retirees Saturday night. It was for the city bus company the man worked for for many years. He and his wife are both very vaxxed up. They talked about how many familiar faces are gone. Dead or sick. The rest they said all looked so old. OC Transpo, of course, requires all employees to get all shots. I said nothing.

  12. Stalin and the creation of Israel: The Soviet tyrant’s inadvertent Zionism

Despite the decades of staunch Soviet opposition to Zionism that saw Zionist activists sent to the Gulag, including Israel’s future prime minister Menachem Begin, in the November 1947 UN partition vote Moscow backed Jewish statehood.

Stalin’s UN delegate Andrei Gromyko stated: “The fact that no Western European state has been able to ensure the defense of the elementary rights of the Jewish people and to safeguard it against the violence of the fascist executioners explains the aspirations of the Jews to establish their own state.”

As expected, Belarus, Czechoslovakia, Poland, and Ukraine followed Moscow in supporting Jewish independence, their votes essential in achieving the required two-thirds majority.

Over the following months, while Washington wavered and abandoned partition for trusteeship, Moscow remained resolute in advocating a Jewish state. And in May 1948, if the US became the first country to grant Israel de facto recognition, it was the Soviet Union that led the international community in establishing full diplomatic relations.

But Stalin’s assistance was not just diplomatic. When seven Arab countries invaded to destroy the newborn Jewish state, their military forces were armed with Western weapons, and in some cases even trained and commanded by British officers.

Washington chose to remain aloof from the fighting, imposing an arms embargo on all the parties to the conflict – a decision that reinforced the Arabs’ preexisting quantitative advantage (though some American equipment was purchased surreptitiously).

Outmanned and outgunned, the Jews desperately needed weapons for their defense. Communist Czechoslovakia stepped in and supplied Israel with dozens of military aircraft, 50,000 rifles, 6,000 machine guns and 90 million bullets – their provision authorized by the Kremlin.

Moscow’s impetus was not altruism – it stemmed from the Soviet desire to roll back the British empire and weaken Western influence in the Middle East. But Stalin’s motivation notwithstanding, the armaments he approved were indispensable.

The Kremlin would soon dramatically reverse course. By the 1950s Moscow became the champion of Arab nationalism, embracing an anti-Israel and anti-Jewish agenda – and would continue thus over consecutive decades.

But at a historic inflection point, when it was life or death for the nascent Jewish state, Stalin was Israel’s indispensable patron.

  13. On Dutch Holocaust day, Zelensky asks Netherlands to also mourn dead Ukrainians

On a rare state visit to the Netherlands on Thursday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky took a bold diplomatic license: He asked that Dutchmen think of his countrymen as well as their own during the kingdom’s national memorial day for the victims of the Holocaust and World War II…

In the Netherlands, this message certainly resonated with audiences open to it. But amid growing fatigue in the West of the protracted trench war, it also backfired with a wide array of others, ranging from nationalist politicians to left-leaning Jewish community leaders, who objected to what critics viewed as an attempt to piggyback a national commemoration.

Part of what irked Zelensky’s critics was how directly he bundled the Dutch memorial day together with the Ukraine conflict. Another part was that he appeared to generalize the Dutch day of mourning, which was instituted in 1945 and is widely seen as pertaining mainly to World War II victims and members of the Dutch armed forces and envoys who fell thereafter in the line of duty…

  14. Everything Sam Westrop is good.

New research: $2 million in federal grants went to domestic Islamist groups

Of 60 federal grants, worth $15 million, given to Muslim organizations in 2022, $2 million went to groups “controlled by Islamists or involved in Islamist networks.” That’s according to a May 3 article by Sam Westrop in Focus on Western Islam.

“While these figures have concerned counter-extremism analysts and reformist Muslims, historical data compiled by FWI reveals that this is in fact the lowest level of funding provided to Islamist groups since 2014, and an abrupt contrast to the record high of over $16 million given to Islamist groups under President [Donald] Trump in 2018,” he wrote.

The research was created by cross-referencing 10,000 names against federal data from USASpending.gov. The groups in question included the Al-Furqaan Foundation ($247,000), the Rahmat-e-Alam Foundation ($148,000), Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) Relief ($150,000), the Islamic Organization of North America ($450,000) and the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) Oklahoma branch ($250,000).

“The bad news: [U.S. President Joe] Biden sent $2 million of taxpayer money to U.S. Islamist groups in 2022. The good news: That’s way down from the $16 million Trump sent them in 2018,” tweeted Daniel Pipes, president of the Middle East Forum. “Yes, Trump sent more money to them than any other U.S. president. Puzzling but true.”
