Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

    As much as an economy is a complex system replete with every attendant unknown, it does seem to simplify once it starts to fall apart. Patterns previously invisible become clearer. Now we have entered into the debt and debt spiral. In an oversimplification, this was caused by public and private debt levels too high to be serviceable. Every indebted entity must refinance sooner or later, and this now means paying more for the mortgage you previously got for almost nothing. Silicon Valley Bank had its treasury bills depreciate when interest rates rose. This made that collateral insufficient to keep the bank solvent. The U.S. Fed stepped in and bailed it out with taxpayer money. This included bailing out 10 Chinese billionaires, and Oprah Winfrey, while Joe Average toils away trying to pay his bills. Talk about elitism.

    According to John Rubino, who I think is pretty good, the next shoe to drop in the economy is commercial real estate. It financed its boom over the last 10 years with free money that is no longer free. This, coupled with a severe drop in its collateral assets, renders much of it insolvent as well. So, as the ditty goes, the future is baked in.

  4. The question is: what is true value? Since the price discovery mechanism has been grotesquely distorted by the price of money being suppressed for longer than has ever been seen in human history, how far back must we go in time to assess true value? Well, must we not look to see for how long the U.S. 10-year T-bill has been disfigured to know this–the 10-year being the gold-standard yardstick for evaluating everything?

    This means that in order to know what your house is really worth, for example, you have to know what it was worth before the real estate bubble began. As an autodidact I can only guess at around 2008, which was the last major real estate correction. But even that was a popping that was not permitted to play out completely.

    Florida lawmakers appear poised to pass legislation allowing the death penalty for pedophiles.
    If passed, pedophiles could be sent to death if they commit sexual battery on a child under age 12.

    According to a report from CBS News, “the House is scheduled Thursday to take up its version of the bill (HB 1297), while the Senate version (SB 1342) was approved Tuesday by the Rules Committee, positioning it to go to the full Senate.”

    The Supreme Court has previously ruled that imposing capital punishment in rape cases is unconstitutional, but that may change with the new justices.

    There has not been an execution for a crime that did not include murder in the United States since 1964.

    After the bill passed the Rules Committee, Senate bill sponsor Jonathan Martin, a former prosecutor, said, “if an individual rapes an 11-year-old, a 10-year-old, a 2-year-old or a 5-year-old, they should be subject to the death penalty.”

    CNS News reports on the Walter Reed Military Medical Center ending Catholic Services announced during Holy Week, the most important week in the Catholic calendar.

    During Holy Week, Walter Reed National Military Medical Center issued a “cease and desist order” to Franciscan priests at Holy Name College, who had been providing religious services and ministering to the spiritual needs of the hospital’s Catholic patients.

    The move “violates First Amendment Right to Free Exercise of Religion,” the Archdiocese for Military Services, USA (AMS) says in an announcement of Walter Reed’s cancelation of its contract with the Franciscan group.

    AMS was replaced by a secular defense contractor, which cannot provide the Catholic services required by the contract, AMS explains:

    The Franciscans’ contract for Catholic Pastoral Care was terminated on March 31, 2023, and awarded to a secular defense contracting firm that cannot fulfill the statement of work in the contract. As a result, adequate pastoral care is not available for service members and veterans in the United States’ largest Defense Health Agency medical center either during Holy Week or beyond. There is one Catholic Army chaplain assigned to Walter Reed Medical Center, but he is in the process of separating from the Army.”

    On Monday, we learned that the FBI was infiltrating Catholic parishes in America to spy on the congregants – an unprecedented breach of First Amendment rights.

    A large explosion and fire broke out at South Fork Dairy in Dimmitt, Texas on Monday night.

    The cause is still unknown. Reports say the explosion engulfed multiple structures.

    The smoke from the explosion could be seen from as much as 80 miles away.

    According to Texas authorities, more than 18,000 cattle died during the explosion.

    “There’s some that survived, there’s some that are probably injured to the point where they’ll have to be destroyed,” according to Castro County Sheriff Sal Rivera.

    WATCH:

    “We strongly encourage farms to adopt common-sense fire safety measures. It is hard to imagine anything worse than being burned alive,” said Margie Fishman of Animal Welfare Institute.

    KTSM reported:

    Officials with the Castro County Sheriff’s Office said that one person was trapped inside the facility and fire crews were able to locate the person and remove them from the building. One person was airlifted to a Lubbock hospital, said Rivera, and was last reported to be in critical condition. Further, an unknown amount of cattle were killed in the fire.

    While its cause is still under investigation through the Texas State Fire Marshal’s Office and others, including the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, Rivera noted that the initial explosion may have been caused by a machinery malfunction.

    The South Fork Dairy was further noted to be a recent development in the community, having been in operation for less than a year in the area and employing around 60 people. This is the first instance of a fire or explosion at the business.

    Although no official word has been made, it’s unclear how a steel structure like the dairy’s could catch fire so quickly.

    The Daily Mail reported Tuesday that they uncovered video footage of a Target security guard slugging a woman in the face after she demanded her $1,000+ grocery bill be paid by the store in reparations and “charged” him.

    The incident occurred last October in Blue Ash, Ohio. It started when 37-year-old Karen Ivery confronted a cashier and asked for the manager regarding the groceries and reparations.

    A manager’s statement reviewed by the Daily Mail revealed Ivery bullied the manager relentlessly. She first lectured the manager about her “privilege” and claimed she was “owed this.”

    The manager calmly explained that Ivery could call the next morning if she wanted a donation. Video footage next shows the racist, deranged customer flipping out and screaming in the manager’s face.

    28-year-old security guard Zach Cotter then races to intervene. He tries to calm Ivey down and asks her to leave the store.

    Ivery refuses and forces Cotter into the security office. After more words are exchanged, Ivey moves toward him.

    In an act of self-defense, Cotter punches Ivery in the face, causing her to fall to the floor.

    Amid rampant corruption in Kiev and as US troops gather at the Ukrainian border, does the Biden administration have an endgame to the conflict?

    The Ukraine government, headed by Volodymyr Zelensky, has been using American taxpayers’ funds to pay dearly for the vitally needed diesel fuel that is keeping the Ukrainian army on the move in its war with Russia. It is unknown how much the Zalensky government is paying per gallon for the fuel, but the Pentagon was paying as much as $400 per gallon to transport gasoline from a port in Pakistan, via truck or parachute, into Afghanistan during the decades-long American war there.

    What also is unknown is that Zalensky has been buying the fuel from Russia, the country with which it, and Washington, are at war, and the Ukrainian president and many in his entourage have been skimming untold millions from the American dollars earmarked for diesel fuel payments. One estimate by analysts from the Central Intelligence Agency put the embezzled funds at $400 million last year, at least; another expert compared the level of corruption in Kiev as approaching that of the Afghan war, “although there will be no professional audit reports emerging from the Ukraine.”

    “Zelensky’s been buying discount diesel from the Russians,” one knowledgeable American intelligence official told me. “And who’s paying for the gas and oil? We are. Putin and his oligarchs are making millions” on it.

    Many government ministries in Kiev have been literally “competing,” I was told, to set up front companies for export contracts for weapons and ammunition with private arms dealers around the world, all of which provide kickbacks. Many of those companies are in Poland and Czechia, but others are thought to exist in the Persian Gulf and Israel. “I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that there are others in places like the Cayman Islands and Panama, and there are lots of Americans involved,” an American expert on international trade told me.

    The issue of corruption was directly raised with Zelensky in a meeting last January in Kiev with CIA Director William Burns. His message to the Ukrainian president, I was told by an intelligence official with direct knowledge of the meeting, was out of a 1950s mob movie. The senior generals and government officials in Kiev were angry at what they saw as Zelensky’s greed, so Burns told the Ukrainian president, because “he was taking a larger share of the skim money than was going to the generals.”

    Burns also presented Zelensky with a list of thirty-five generals and senior officials whose corruption was known to the CIA and others in the American government. Zelensky responded to the American pressure ten days later by publicly dismissing ten of the most ostentatious officials on the list and doing little else. “The ten he got rid of were brazenly bragging about the money they had—driving around Kiev in their new Mercedes,” the intelligence official told me.

    • Elon Musk Accuses Major Media Outlet of Spreading COVID Misinformation, Ignoring Vaccine Injuries

      Elon Musk has defended Twitter’s decision to terminate a policy where posts on the platform would be accompanied by a “misleading information” warning label if the content related to COVID-19, saying the pandemic “is no longer an issue.”

      The microblogging service, which was taken over by the billionaire industrialist last year, said in a report that, effective Nov. 23, 2022, Twitter is “no longer enforcing the COVID-19 misleading information policy.”

      Musk commented on the matter during an interview with BBC reporter James Clayton that was broadcasted on April 11. In the confrontational interview, Musk pivoted Clayton’s question when the journalist asked the Tesla executive about the platform’s warning labels for false and misleading tweets related to COVID-19.

      “Has the BBC changed its COVID misinformation?” Musk reacted fiercely to the reporter’s question.

      In response, Clayton said that he was asking Musk about Twitter’s policies as the interviewer stressed that the discussion is about the social media company, not about the broadcasting corporation.

      “The BBC does not set the rules upon Twitter, so I’m asking you,” Clayton said. “You changed the labels, the COVID misinformation labels, there used to be a policy, but it then disappeared—why do that?” he added.

      “Look, COVID is no longer an issue,” Musk responded. “Does the BBC hold itself at all responsible for misinformation regarding masking and side-effects of vaccinations, and not reporting on that at all,” the SpaceX founder added.

      Musk went on to say that the BBC allowed itself to be “put under pressure by the British government to change its editorial policy.”

      “Are you aware of that?” Musk asked Clayton, who did not answer the question. Instead, he shifted the conversation to a different topic, while also noting that he’s not a BBC representative and is unable to speak on behalf of the company’s editorial policy.

      NTD reached out to the BBC for comment.

      Musk has been a longtime critic of COVID-19 vaccine mandates, lockdowns, as well as other measures enforced by the government. In May 2020, the 51-year-old sent Tesla employees back to work at the automaker’s plant in California in defiance of local shelter-in-place orders, which he described as “forcible imprisoning.”

      “Tesla is restarting production today against Alameda County rules. I will be on the line with everyone else. If anyone is arrested, I ask that it only be me,” Musk said in a post on Twitter at the time.

      During an interview with TIME in December 2021, Musk said he and his eligible children are vaccinated against COVID-19 and that “the science is unequivocal,” but he also stressed that he is against COVID-19 vaccine mandates.

      Twitter’s policy, which was introduced to curb the spread of “harmful misinformation” related to the pandemic, resulted in nearly 100,000 pieces of content being removed from the platform and led to more than 11,000 account suspensions between January 2020 and September 2022.

      Since taking over Twitter, Musk has vowed to dial back the platform’s censorship policies which many conservatives have alleged are discriminatory and amount to suppression of free speech. At the same time, Musk pledged that he would not allow Twitter to become a “free-for-all hellscape” where anything could be said, “with no consequences.”

      Doctors Sound the Alarm
      Since the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) authorized the first COVID-19 vaccines in late 2020, governments around the world and much of the media have insisted that the medicines developed in record time are “safe and effective.”

      However, numerous studies and medical experts have disagreed with the government’s official messaging, suggesting COVID-19 vaccines can lead to an excess risk of spike protein-induced diseases.

      Dr. Joseph Fraiman, an emergency physician based in Louisiana and the lead author of a peer-reviewed study that reexamined the original Pfizer and Moderna clinical trials for the COVID-19 vaccines, told the National Citizen’s Inquiry (NCI) on March 17 that the vaccines have been associated with an excess risk of serious adverse events of special interest in about one in every 565 people.

      “That is quite a high number of serious adverse effects from a vaccine. We typically have withdrawn vaccines for one in 10,000,” said Fraiman, who spoke virtually at the event on the second day of the hearing held in Canada.

      The authors found that the Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines were, respectively, associated with an excess risk of serious adverse events of special interest of 10.1 and 15.1 per 10,000 vaccinated over placebo baselines of 17.6 and 42.2. Combined, the mRNA vaccines were associated with an excess risk of serious adverse events of special interest in 12.5 per 10,000 vaccinated, or one in 565.

      German Minister of Health Karl Lauterbach, meanwhile, said last month that adverse reactions can occur at a rate of “one in 10,000 [doses],” adding that COVID-19 vaccines have caused “severe disabilities” to German citizens. However, the country’s top health official also noted that he believes the benefits still outweigh the risks, saying: “It’s not like [vaccine] injury is common.”

      “I’ve always been aware of the numbers and they’ve remained relatively stable … one in 10,000 [are injured],” Lauterbach said, citing official data (pdf) from the Paul-Ehrlich-Institut that was released in December 2022. It has to be noted that the health minister said COVID-19 vaccines can cause serious injury in one in every 10,000 doses, not people.

    New Jersey man proclaiming himself the “biggest advocate and supporter” of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey burned merchandise and hundreds of dollars worth of booze in a now-viral tirade against the liquor company for going “woke.”

    The backlash comes as the whiskey brewer’s “small town, big pride” 2021 ad campaign featuring drag queens from “Ru Paul’s Drag Race” has resurfaced — sparking conservative outrage similar to how some Bud Light fans boycotted after the beer company partnered with a popular transgender influencer.
