Haughty Kamala Harris Wags Her Finger as She Lectures Ron DeSantis on Ukraine: “If You Really Understand the Issues, You Probably Would Not Make Statements Like That”
    By Kristinn Taylor Mar. 15, 2023 11:58 pm778 Comments

Kamala Harris taped an appearance on the CBS show the Late Show with Stephen Colbert in New York City Wednesday night where she was jeered by protesters as she arrived and departed the Ed Sullivan Theater. In a promo clip posted by the Late Show, Harris wagged her finger as she haughtily lectured Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) over his recent position statement on Ukraine that is not in line with the groupthink in Washington.

DeSantis wrote in response to questions on Ukraine sent to Republican presidential hopefuls by Fox News Channel host Tucker Carlson that Ukraine is not a vital interest of the United States and called Russia’s war on Ukraine “a territorial dispute.”

Harris: “So, as vice president I have now met with over a hundred world leaders: Presidents, prime ministers, chancellors and kings. And when you have had the experience of meeting, and, and understanding the significance again of international rules and norms and the importance of the United States of America standing firm and clear about the significance of sovereignty and territorial integrity, the significance of standing firm against any nation that would try to take by force another nation. If you really understand the issues, you probably would not make statements like that.”

To her credit, Harris made it through her remarks without cackling. But on the other hand she looked like someone trying to impress guests at a cocktail party.

DeSantis’ answers to the Tucker Carlson questionnaire that triggered Harris:

“While the U.S. has many vital national interests – securing our borders, addressing the crisis of readiness within our military, achieving energy security and independence, and checking the economic, cultural, and military power of the Chinese Communist Party – becoming further entangled in a territorial dispute between Ukraine and Russia is not one of them. The Biden administration’s virtual “blank check” funding of this conflict for “as long as it takes,” without any defined objectives or accountability, distracts from our country’s most pressing challenges.

Without question, peace should be the objective. The U.S. should not provide assistance that could require the deployment of American troops or enable Ukraine to engage in offensive operations beyond its borders. F-16s and long-range missiles should therefore be off the table. These moves would risk explicitly drawing the United States into the conflict and drawing us closer to a hot war between the world’s two largest nuclear powers. That risk is unacceptable.

A policy of “regime change” in Russia (no doubt popular among the DC foreign policy interventionists) would greatly increase the stakes of the conflict, making the use of nuclear weapons more likely. Such a policy would neither stop the death and destruction of the war, nor produce a pro-American, Madisonian constitutionalist in the Kremlin. History indicates that Putin’s successor, in this hypothetical, would likely be even more ruthless. The costs to achieve such a dubious outcome could become astronomical.

The Biden administration’s policies have driven Russia into a de facto alliance with China. Because China has not and will not abide by the embargo, Russia has increased its foreign revenues while China benefits from cheaper fuel. Coupled with his intentional depletion of the Strategic Petroleum Reserve and support for the Left’s Green New Deal, Biden has further empowered Russia’s energy-dominated economy and Putin’s war machine at Americans’ expense.

Our citizens are also entitled to know how the billions of U.S. taxpayer dollars are being utilized in Ukraine.

We cannot prioritize intervention in an escalating foreign war over the defense of our own homeland, especially as tens of thousands of Americans are dying every year from narcotics smuggled across our open border and our weapons arsenals critical for our own security are rapidly being depleted.”

U.S. European Command released video of Russian SU-27s attack that led to the downing of an MQ-9 drone over the Black Sea Tuesday morning. Two SU-27 harassed the MQ-9 by spraying fuel on it before clipping and damaging a propeller on a close pass in international airspace, reportedly about sixty miles off the coast of Russian-annexed Crimea.

STUTTGART, Germany – U.S. European Command released declassified footage of a Russian Su-27 aircraft conducting an unsafe/unprofessional intercept of a U.S. Air Force MQ-9 in international airspace over the Black Sea, March 14. In addition to the footage, a storyboard of the events with declassified stills from the MQ-9 footage is also released.

The following is a summary of the video:
00:00: [Start of video] A Russian Su-27 approaches to the rear of the U.S. Air Force MQ-9.
00:05: A Russian Su-27 begins to release fuel as it passes.
00:09 A Russian Su-27 passes over the U.S. Air Force MQ-9 while releasing fuel. As the Su-27 passes over the top of the MQ-9, it also disrupts the video transmission.
00:11: The propeller of the U.S. Air Force MQ-9 can be seen and remains undamaged.
    00:22: A Russian Su-27 begins a second approach toward the MQ-9.
00:27: A Russian Su-27 begins to release fuel on the approach toward the
MQ-9. The Su-27 proceeds to pass even closer.

  4. WATCH: “Should Secretary Mayorkas Be Impeached?” – Border Patrol Chief Rául Ortiz Confronted by RAV Correspondent Ben Bergquam After Admitting That We DO NOT Have Control Of The Southern Border “Crisis”
    By Jordan Conradson Mar. 16, 2023 7:30 am56 Comments

Ben Bergquam, the greatest reporter on the southern border crisis in our country, confronted Chief Raul Ortiz yesterday over Alejandro Mayorkas’ handling of our southern border after Ortiz admitted that the US has lost control of the border under Joe Biden.

Over five million illegal aliens flooded across the border during the first two years of the Biden administration, yet DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has repeated the claim that the “border is secure.” This is criminal negligence, if not a coverup of the federal government’s cooperation with the Sinaloa Cartels to systemically destroy America.

Mayorkas must be immediately impeached and investigated for his crimes.

  5. Authoritarian Democrats Urge DOJ to Take Action on Gun Control After Credit Card Companies Refuse to Track Purchases
    By Mike LaChance Mar. 15, 2023 10:40 pm316 Comments

Democrats wanted credit card companies to track the purchases of certain types of guns and ammunition, because they hate the Constitution, and especially the Second Amendment.

The credit card companies didn’t cave to the pressure, so now Democrats in the Senate are crying to the Justice Department to take action, and why wouldn’t they? For years now, authoritarian Democrats have used the power and force of the government to do their bidding against their perceived political enemies.

    This is what they do.

  8. James O’Keefe tells Jack Posobiec the TRUTH behind Project Veritas departure

James O’Keefe joined Jack Posobiec and Human Events Daily for an exclusive interview on Wednesday, which marked the first time O’Keefe sat down to talk publicly about his recent ouster from Project Veritas, the company he founded 14 years ago, and his brand new venture, OMG, or O’Keefe Media Group.

OMG, launched on Wednesday, will be an Act 2 for the former Veritas CEO and investigative journalism icon. This new project will have a few notable changes from the Veritas model.

OMG will not be a not-for-profit, as Veritas was, but a subscription model. This means that it will not be at the mercy of Board whims, and a subscription basis means that O’Keefe will not have to court donors. And part of the OMG project will be to train a new crop of investigative journalists.

O’Keefe’s ouster from Veritas was a shock to many, and Posobiec asked if he was ready to discuss the events that led to his departure.

“If you’re willing to share anything with us on that ,” Posobiec said, “people are so confused. It’s like a roller coaster and everyone’s head is spinning with whiplash over this.”

He laid out how it went down: “The Pfizer video drops— this thing, the last time I checked it was at like 30 million, probably up to 50 million views at this point— one of if not the biggest Project Veritas video that I’ve ever seen, has come out, one of the biggest stories, just an absolute apex moment.

“And then suddenly the breaks are put on hold. It feels like there’s all this instability, you leave the organization. Can you walk us through those six weeks is what was going on or from your perspective, are you able to share that with us?”

O’Keefe referenced his remarks upon his departure. He had prepared a letter, and delivered that letter to his 65 staff via a Vimeo video. Shortly after he sent it to staff, it was leaked. O’Keefe said that he did not leak it.

In that letter, O’Keefe had expressed his own measure of confusion. “I don’t have answers to why they’ve been doing what they’ve been doing,” he wrote, “or why board members were going directly to employees to collect a list of grievances on the week of our biggest story ever. Or why our board members were going to employees directly to discuss removing me from Project Veritas – on the same week of our biggest story of all time.”

“I don’t know if you guys saw my my remarks departing. Did you? Did you happen to see those?” O’Keefe asked Posobiec, “I mean, I that’s basically what I have to say about the matter. And it was, I said to my staff, of 60 people, 65 people, and it was then it was leaked. I recognize that when you know, distributed me a link to 70 people someone’s gonna probably leak it, but I didn’t leak it. You know, and that’s what I have to say about the matter. It’s all there.”

He said that he ran the company in an orthdox way, took responsibility for everything as the CEO.

“I was taking responsibility for everything,” he said. “I did my yearly audits, I had my quarterly financial statements. But it was it was quite bizarre— this deal about black cars and sandwiches.”

The letter signed by 16 staffers detailing their grievances, combined with a statement from the Board after O’Keefe left detailing what saw were his excesses, mentioned that he took took many “black cars,” or hired cars from place to place. Another grievance said bizarelly that O’Keefe had taken a staffer’s sandwich.

“If you watch my ad for OMG,” he said, “I actually get out of a black car and I throw a sandwich. It was a homage to these really strange things. And I’ve been the same man for 13 years I’ve probably improved a bit.”

“But I think in a media organization in a media company, most media news organizations are corrupted at the top,” O’Keefe said. “In traditional newsrooms, journalists don’t really do journalism. Investigative journalism is a thing of the past, because most organizations are pursuing a profit or they don’t understand how to run a balance sheet as it when it pertains to investigative reporting.

“So having ethics and integrity is going to be critical,” he said, veering into his plans for OMG. “And sometimes it’s not always profitable, if you’re trying to squeeze profit. But I ran that organization. I spent 14 years of my life building a credible news organization.

And suddenly there was an emergency to oust me all of a sudden, which doesn’t make sense to me. It doesn’t make sense that the view but I would, I would say to you that I learned a lot from it. I’m going to be more effective as a result of it. I’ve certainly seen a lot of evil and darkness, but I’ve also really seen a lot of good.

“I’ve been able to identify a few people that are absolutely, I mean, amazing human beings, that have gone through this with me and have been by my side.

“This is a movement that requires really strong people in their souls. Absolutely unyielding, won’t bend at the knee won’t be pressured. People that will do it for free. Which some of us have been doing your jack for the last couple of weeks. You know, sleeping on the floor. And eating pizza and doing what we have to do. That’s what we’re doing over here, because we believe in it.

“And I think I’ll be more effective as a result of this. And I’ve learned a lot of things that will help me as I venture to the next level, which is to equip 1000s of people with the cameras as opposed to just a couple dozen,” O’Keefe said.

  11. DOD Spends $130K A Day, Nearly $50 Million A Year To Do Nothing With Border Wall Panels that Sit on the Ground
    By ProTrumpNews Staff Mar. 16, 2023 9:45 am71 Comments

The Biden administration would rather waste millions of dollars than secure the border.

They are spending around $130,000 every day doing nothing with unused border wall panels – this adds up to nearly $50 million a year.

These numbers are based on a request for information to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Although the Corps did say that “the cost to the government cannot be finalized until audits are completed and negotiations with contractors are concluded.”

    Fox News reported:

The Biden administration spends about $130,000 per day to store and maintain unused border wall panels at the southern border, and Senate Republicans are demanding answers.

Republican members of the Senate Armed Forces Committee — using details provided to them in a request for information to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) — sent a letter Wednesday evening to the Defense Department asking why nearly $50 million is being spent each year to store the Trump-era border materials.

In its correspondence with the committee, the USACE confirmed the cancelation of the border wall contracts by President Biden’s administration in 2021 “left a variety of excess materials” and the “total costs to store, maintain, and secure all the materials across all sites is estimated to be approximately $130,000 per day.”

EXCLUSIVE: Maricopa County and AZ Democrats Leave Fountain Hills Hanging to Dry – OVER 1,000 People in Maricopa County Have No Source of Water, Farm Owners to Sue Maricopa County (VIDEO)
    By Jordan Conradson Mar. 16, 2023 9:00 am66 Comments

Residents of Rio Verde, Arizona, held a conference on Tuesday night, calling for action by the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors and Arizona Elected officials to supply water after the city of Scottsdale, Arizona, cut off their water supply amid an ongoing drought.

This comes as temperatures in Maricopa County are rising and will reach triple digits in the summer.

Scottsdale had previously announced that the water would be cut off, and Maricopa County did “absolutely nothing” to find a solution, according to one resident. “I blame our county,” they said, calling the County’s actions “criminal.”

Robert Mitchell, an attorney for Miller Ranch in rural North Scottsdale, announced a lawsuit against Maricopa County for allegedly violating the law and failing residents of Rio Verde, Arizona.

The Gateway Pundit correspondent Jordan Conradson, with a background as an Arizona REALTOR®, did not believe it was possible to have a crisis like this due to Arizona’s Assured and Adequate Water Supply laws, which state, “Water providers or developers must demonstrate that the water supply is uninterruptible for the 100-year period, or that sufficient backup supplies exist for any anticipated shortages.”

However, Attorney Robert Mitchell of Tiffany & Bosco in Phoenix told Conradson that it is a “reasonable conclusion” that Maricopa County has been “working in concert” with land developers to violate water laws.

Questionably elected Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes delivered an opinion last month regarding the County’s authority to supply water to residents, stating, “Yes, a county board of supervisors has the authority to temporarily supply water to county residents to preserve public health and sanitation under A.R.S. § 11–251(17), (31). A county may do so through an intergovernmental agreement with a public agency with whom it shares a joint shared power, A.R.S. § 11–952, or by contracting with a private company, A.R.S. § 11–201(A)(3).”

Representative Alexander Kolodin’s HB2561, an emergency measure that requires Counties to enter into an intergovernmental agreement with a city or town to provide water to residents of the County, was voted on in the House Committee of the Whole one week ago on March 9, 2023, but it was shot down by Democrats.

political earthquake hit the Netherlands Wednesday in the wake of massive farmer’s protests as the upstart Farmer’s Movement party passed the ruling People’s Party in provincial elections. “Nobody can ignore us any longer,” said Farmer’s Movement leader Caroline van der Plas.

“The BBB or BoerBurgerBeweging (Farmer-Citizen Movement) party rode a wave of protests against the government’s environmental policies and looked set to have won more Senate seats than Prime Minister Mark Rutte’s conservative VVD party”, Reuters reports. The BBB was strongest party in the Provincial Council elections in all Dutch provinces except urban Utrecht Province.

The Dutch Provincial Councils elect the Dutch Senate May 30, where the ruling RINO government already has no majority. Upstart BBB is now projected to win 15 Senate seats out of 75, passing Prime Minister Mark Rutte’s People’s Party with projected 10 seats. The Green-Left coalition also won 15 seats, and could still conspire with the RINO government to force through a disastrous ban on Nitorgen

Judge Wetherell Says Border Under Biden a “Meaningless Line in the Sand”
By Wendi Strauch Mahoney -March 16, 2023

AG Moody/Judge Wetherell/State of Florida v United States of America et al
U.S. District Judge T. Kent Wetherell wrote a “scathing” opinion in response to a lawsuit filed in March 2021 by Florida’s Attorney General Ashley Moody. According to the press release, Wetherell ruled in State of Florida v. United States of America et al. that “Biden’s catch-and-release policy is unlawful and gave the administration seven days to comply with federal immigration law.”

AG Moody asked the Court to halt “the Biden administration’s anti-deportation policies and hold Biden’s actions and subsequent D.H.S. and I.C.E. memos unlawful.” Wetherell ruled in favor of Florida, writing in his March 8 109-page ruling that the Biden administration has “effectively turned the southwest border into a meaningless line in the sand and little more than a speedbump for aliens flooding into the country.”

Florida argues that Biden’s Executive Order 13993, issued in Jan. 2021, opened the floodgates for the illegal entry of convicted criminals “including drug traffickers, sex offenders and those convicted of domestic violence,” according to a March 2021 press release. Florida based its argument on evidence of “at least seven instances” of criminals not properly removed by I.C.E. after having been in state custody. These “convicts,” wrote the state, “are in the country illegally and served prison sentences for burglary, cocaine trafficking, heroin trafficking, and other crimes.”

Judge Wetherell’s 109-page ruling concluded that there is indeed a crisis at the border that “shows no signs of abating.” Wetherell clarifies that it is not the Court’s job to “solve the immigration crisis,” but it is the Court’s job to ensure that “challenged policies comply with the immigration laws as written.”

Congress, Not the President, Codifies Border Policies
Wetherell also correctly acknowledges that Congress, not the Executive Branch or the President, has “‘complete and absolute power’ over the subject of immigration and ‘plenary power’ over the admission and exclusion of aliens.” The Immigration and Nationality Act (I.N.A.) codified the policies and procedures for the treatment of illegal aliens arriving at our borders. According to the ruling, Biden’s border release policies violate the Administrative Procedure Act (A.P.A.). Per the Center for Immigration Studies (C.I.S.), “The [A.P.A.], which applies to all executive branch and independent agencies, prescribes procedures for agency rulemakings and adjudications, as well as standards for judicial review of final agency actions.”

Congress cannot sue to enforce immigration policy. Therefore, Congress is left with the “power of the purse” —a power they rarely seem to use. As explained by C.I.S., that is why challenges like the one from Florida are so important.

    Parole+ATD: The July Memo
Judge Wetherell concurs with the state of Florida vis à vis the abuse of humanitarian parole (Parole+ATD) during the Biden administration. Parole+ATD stands for parole plus “alternatives for detention”—like “G.P.S. tracking, ankle monitors, or (more commonly) the SmartLINK app”—all “largely ineffective,” according to C.I.S. UncoverDC reported in late January, and earlier columns, Biden’s D.H.S. has effectively unlawfully retooled humanitarian parole for its own purposes. The humanitarian parole process allows illegal aliens to be released while they await immigration proceedings. However, humanitarian parole should be reserved for limited compelling cases only.

In FY2022 alone, according to C.I.S., “1.152 million-plus were processed for removal under the I.N.A.” Most were not removed, and many were not even detained. These parole workarounds were brought online under the guise of COVID in 2021. When the Biden administration announced it would be removing Title 42 proceedings for illegal aliens in April 2022, Parole+ATD remained. Per a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (I.C.E.) memo, Parole+ATD was extended in July 2022. However, even in that very memo, I.C.E. admits the Secretary of Homeland Security only has the authority “temporarily…on a case-by-case basis” to parole certain individuals.

    Humanitarian Parole/July 2022 memo
Parole+ATD was allegedly designed and implemented to alleviate overcrowding in I.C.E. detention centers. The July Memo tries to make a case for Parole+ATD by stating that it is “60 minutes faster” and allows I.C.E. to supervise aliens better. It then notes that the process should still be used “sparingly.” Judge Wetherell calls the Biden administration on the carpet for using the process more liberally than it should. Wetherell stated “projections” from the supplemental administrative record contain estimates that “the backlog created by Parole-ATD will take decades to overcome.”

As Judge Wetherell points out in his ruling, “the July Memo expanded the eligibility for Parole+ATD to single adults rather than just family units” without explanation rendering the “July Memo arbitrary and capricious” because “the requirement that an agency provide reasoned explanation for its action would ordinarily demand that it display awareness that it is changing position.” Fox Television, 556 U.S. at 515.”

Wetherell ultimately agreed with 3 of the 5 arguments (arguments 1, 3, and 5) set forth by the state of Florida concerning the July Memo:

Referencing point number one, Judge Wetherell states the July Memo “failed to adequately consider the ever-worsening backlog caused by earlier iterations of the policy.” Referencing number 3, Wetherell writes the July Memo ignored evidence “when it concluded that Parole+ATD will only be ‘used sparingly’” but, in fact, it became a “primary processing tool.” According to the ruling, evidence shows that in the month before the July memo, “C.B.P. released over 40,000 applicants for admission under that policy, which was more than 40% of total apprehensions at the Southwest Border that month. And that was before the July Memo expanded eligibility for Parole+ATD to single adults.”

In reference to point number five, Judge Wetherell argues the July Memo also “failed to acknowledge its decision to expand Parole+ATD to include single adults” and never explained why it did. The state of Florida also argued the July Memo also failed to follow notice and comment guidelines. Judge Wetherell concurred and ultimately concluded the July Memo is “contrary to the law.”

    July Memo/Wetherell
Judge Wetherell Says Databases on Criminal Aliens Often Not Shared from Home Countries
The government tried to argue that “its parole release policies conform with the regulation implementing the parole statute, 8 C.F.R. § 212.5. It allows D.H.S. to parole ‘aliens whose continued detention is not in the public interest,’” as explained by C.I.S. However, Judge Wetherell destroyed the argument by noting the regulation “flips I.N.A. on its head.” Notably, Florida did not challenge the regulation, but the judge did. C.I.S. writes:

“Specifically, he held, the parole statute requires detention unless parole is justified based on ‘urgent humanitarian reasons’ or ‘significant public benefit’” while the regulation effectively allows any alien to be released on parole whenever continued detention is not ‘in the public interest’—whatever that means—and the ‘alien is not a security or flight risk.’

With respect to that security risk assessment, the Court critically noted the record failed to show how C.B.P. officers could determine whether an alien posed such a risk ‘if the alien’s home country does not share its criminal history databases with the United States.’”

Wetherell ultimately ruled the Parole+ATD Policy should be “vacated under A.P.A.” and remanded to the D.H.S. for “further proceedings consistent with the Opinion and Order entered on this date.”

An interesting footnote in the document (footnote 20) speaks to the reliance of D.H.S. on “self-reported” addresses by “aliens released under the challenged policies.” The government attempted to argue from both sides of its mouth until Judge Wetherall challenged its logic.

Florida estimated it had spent “millions of dollars in public funds” on aliens in the state because of Biden’s border policies. However, the government tried to argue that Florida could not prove that they were being materially impacted financially by an influx of illegal aliens. The government argued “the Court could only assume from [D.H.S.] data” that “an alien” was actually in the state because the data was “self-reported.” Judge Wetherell swiftly poked holes in the government’s logic by telling the government that what’s good for the goose (the D.H.S.) should be good for the gander (the Court). In other words, if the self-reported addresses are good enough for the D.H.S., notes the judge, they should be good enough for the government. Florida argued that “well over 100,000 aliens” ended up in Florida “under the challenged policies.”

    Footnote 20/Page 43/$file/final+order.pdf
Notably, as mentioned by the Charlotte Observer, “[t]he ruling does not impact a different parole program Biden announced last year that would allow 360,000 people a year from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela to legally enter the U.S. if they have a financial supporter in the U.S., and both pass a background check.” Ukrainians and Afghanis also benefit from similar exceptions to detention from the U.S. government.

  19. BREAKING: House Oversight Committee Shows Bidens Received $1 Million after China Wired $3 Million to Biden Associate
    By Joe Hoft Mar. 16, 2023 11:59 am385 Comments

The Biden family received $1 million after an associate received $3 million from China. This is absolute and total corruption and treason.

Shocking news was released moments ago from the House Oversight Committee.

JUST IN – House Oversight Committee: Biden family received over $1 million after a Chinese company wired $3 million to Robinson Walker LLC, a company owned by a Biden family associate.

Here is the message from the House Oversight Committee moments ago:

Today, the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability issued a memorandum revealing new evidence resulting from the investigation into the Biden family’s influence peddling and business schemes. Subpoenaed financial records show that from 2015 to 2017, Biden family members – Hunter Biden, James Biden, Hallie Biden, and an unknown “Biden” – and their companies collectively received $1.3 million in payments from accounts related to Rob Walker, a Biden family associate.

Notably, on March 1, 2017, less than two months after Vice President Joe Biden left public office, State Energy HK Limited, a Chinese company, wired $3 million to Rob Walker’s company. The next day, the company wired $1,065,000 to a company associated with James Gilliar, another Biden family associate. Afterwards, the Biden family received approximately $1,065,000 in payments over a three-month period in different bank accounts. From the bank records, it appears that the Biden family received approximately one-third of the money obtained from the China wire.

      • That’s what I think, she is starting a podcast and being interviewed more. Look for her to get a lot more media exposure as the primary season approaches.

Her election for 2 terms would give Obama 5 terms as President.

  20. ALL IN THE FAMILY: House Oversight Shows Daughter-in-Law Hallie Biden Got China Cash in 2017 While Sleeping with Her Dead Husband’s Brother Hunter
    By Jim Hoft Mar. 16, 2023 2:00 pm0 Comments

Documents released by the House Oversight Committee revealed Hallie Biden, widow of Beau Biden, got in on the China cash the family was making.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer revealed Thursday that subpoenaed bank records indicate President Biden’s daughter-in-law Hallie was the previously unknown family recipient of Chinese cash in 2017, The Post can exclusively reveal.

President Biden, who allegedly was the “big guy” mentioned in communications about the same Chinese venture, dined at Hallie Biden’s residence last Friday during his regular weekend trip home to Delaware. It’s unclear if they discussed the looming bombshell, which Comer (R-Ky.) publicly teased Monday night on Fox News’ “Hannity.”

The records show Hallie Biden received $35,000 over two transfers in 2017 from Biden family associate John “Rob” Walker after he received $3 million on March 1, 2017, from the Chinese State Energy HK Limited, a firm affiliated with CEFC China Energy.

The first transfer to Hallie from Robinson Walker LLC was for $25,000 on March 20 of that year, Comer wrote in a Thursday morning memo to committee members.

In 2017 Hallie Biden opened up about her romance with Hunter Biden.

Now we know she was getting paid by the family at that same time.

  22. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen Admits Joe Biden’s Inflation Crisis is Linked to the Banking Crisis (VIDEO)
    By Cristina Laila Mar. 16, 2023 1:30 pm117 Comments

Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen on Thursday testified before the Senate Finance Committee on Biden’s 2024 budget proposal.

Yellen was also grilled about Silicon Valley Bank’s failure.

Silicon Valley Bank shuttered last Friday after it was unable to produce enough cash for depositors.

Senate Finance Committee Ranking Member Mike Crapo (R-ID) got Janet Yellen to admit Biden’s inflation crisis led to rapid rate hikes which then led to the banking crisis.

Senator Crapo said SVB’s capital was losing value and they were not able to access their capital because of the Federal Reserve Chairman’s decision to rapidly hike rates in 2022.

Yellen admitted Biden’s inflation crisis ultimately led to the banking crisis.

“My understanding is that the bank, to meet liquidity needs had to sell assets that it expected to hold to maturity and given that the interest rate increases that have occurred since those assets, including treasuries – and government-backed – mortgage-backed securities they had lost market value,” Yellen said.

  23. Kentucky Lawmakers Pass Bill That Will Allow Parents to Challenge Obscene Books in Schools
    By Cassandra MacDonald Mar. 16, 2023 1:15 pm71 Comments

A new bill passed in Kentucky will allow parents to challenge obscene books and teachings in public schools.
Lawmakers in the Republican-led House voted 80-18 to pass Senate Bill 5 after a lengthy debate on Wednesday evening.

The vote was split mostly along party lines.

However, the bill still needs to be signed by Democrat Governor Andy Beshear to become law.

Laws to protect parental rights in education have been sweeping the nation as Democrats seek to prevent parents from having a say in what they are learning. This holds especially true for graphic and obscene LGBTQ-focused books.

According to a report from Fox News, Kentucky’s bill would “require the state’s school districts to create a process for parents to challenge educational materials they believe to be “harmful” to children and would also direct the Kentucky Department of Education to adopt a model policy for the complaint resolution process.”

“At the passage of the bill, parents would be permitted to submit a complaint to the school principal, who would have the authority to decide if the materials in question would remain or be removed or restricted,” the report continued to explain. “Parents who disagreed with the principal’s decision could appeal to the local school board with set time limits on each phase of the review process that parents would be included in. Those who disagree with the school board’s decision could choose to opt their children out of instruction that includes the disputed material.”

The school board would have 30 days to decide on the materials in question.

Republican Rep. Russell Webber responded to Democrats who claimed that the legislation is about banning books by saying that “we are talking about protecting children in this commonwealth from examples of extreme sexual exposure to material, to events, to programs.”

  26. Are We the Byzantines?
The Byzantines never woke up in time to understand what they had become. Will Americans?

    By Victor Davis Hanson

    March 15, 2023
When Constantinople finally fell to the Ottomans on Tuesday, May 29, 1453, the Byzantine Empire and its capital had survived for 1,000 years beyond the fall of the Western Empire at Rome.

Always outnumbered in a sea of enemies, the Byzantines’ survival had depended on its realist diplomacy of dividing its enemies, avoiding military quagmires, and ensuring constant deterrence.

Generations of self-sacrifice ensured ample investment for infrastructure. Each generation inherited and improved on singular aqueducts and cisterns, sewer systems, and the most complex and formidable city fortifications in the world.

Brilliant scientific advancement and engineering gave the empire advantages like swift galleys and flame throwers—an ancient precursor to napalm.

The law reigned supreme for nearly a millennium after the emperor Justinian codified a prior thousand years of Roman jurisprudence.

Yet this millennium-old crown jewel of the ancient world that once was home to 800,000 citizens had only 50,000 inhabitants left when it fell.

There were only 7,000 defenders on the walls to hold back a huge Turkish army of over 150,000 attackers.

The Islamic winners took over the once magical city of Constantine and renamed it Istanbul. It had been the home of the renowned Santa Sophia, the largest Christian church in the world for over 900 years. Almost immediately, this “Church of the Holy Wisdom” was converted into the then largest mosque in the Islamic world, with minarets to follow.

So what happened to the once indomitable city fortress and its empire?

Christendom had cannibalized itself. Western Catholicism and Eastern Orthodoxy fought endlessly. Westerners often hated each other more than they did their common enemy.

In the final days of Constantinople, almost no help was sent from Western Europe to the besieged city.

In fact, 250 years earlier, the Western Franks of the Fourth Crusade had detoured from the Holy Land to storm the supposedly allied Christian City of Constantinople.

Then they ransacked the city and hijacked the Byzantine Empire for a half-century. Constantinople never quite recovered.

The 14 th-century Black Plague killed tens of thousands of Byzantines and scared thousands more into moving out of the cramped city.

But the aging and dying empire battled more than the challenges of internal divisions, or an unforeseen but deadly pandemic and the empire’s disastrous responses to it.

The last generations of Byzantines had inherited a global reputation and standard of living that they themselves no longer earned.

They neglected their former civic values and fought endless battles over obscure religious texts, doctrines, and vocabulary.

They did not expand their anemic army and navy. They did not reunite their scattered Greek-speaking empire. They did not properly maintain their once life-giving walls.

Instead of earning money through their accustomed nonstop trade, they inflated their currency and were forced to melt down the city’s inherited gold and silver fixtures.

The once canny and shrewd Byzantines grew smug and naïve. Childlessness became common. Most now preferred to live outside of what had become a half-empty, often dirty, and poorly maintained city.

Meanwhile they underestimated the growing power of the Ottomans who systematically pruned away their empire. By the mid-15th century Islamic armies were ready to exploit fatal Byzantine weaknesses.

The Sultan Mehmed II grandly announced the Ottomans were now the real, the only world power. Ascendent Ottoman armies would eventually move on to the very gates of Vienna in an effort to rule all the lands of the ancient Roman empire.

We should take heed from the last generations of the Byzantines.

Nowhere is it foreordained that America has a birthright to remain the world’s preeminent civilization.

An ascendent China seems eerily similar to the Ottomans. Beijing believes that the United States is decadent, undeserving of its affluence, living beyond its means on the fumes of the past—and very soon vulnerable enough to challenge openly.

Left and Right seem to hate each other more than they do their common enemies.

Like the Byzantines, Americans gave up defending their own borders, and simply shrugged as millions overran them as they pleased.

Our once iconic downtowns, like end-stage Constantinople before the fall, are now dirty, half-deserted, dangerous, and dysfunctional.

America prints rather than makes money, as its banks totter near bankruptcy.

Americans similarly believe they are invincible without ensuring in reality that they are. Our military is more worried about being woke than deadly.

Like Byzantines, Americans have become snarky iconoclasts, more eager to tear down art and sculpture that they no longer have the talent to create.

Current woke dogma, obscure word fights, and sanctimonious cancel culture are as antithetical to the past generations of World War II as the last generation of Constantinople was to the former great eras of the emperors Constantine, Justinian, Heraclius, and Leo.

The Byzantines never woke up in time to understand what they had become.

    So far neither have Americans.

    • Those wars between Western Catholicism and Eastern Orthodoxy are encoded in the DNA of old Europe. Tangled bowels, filth builds up till it cannot be contained. It must explode in periodic bouts of bloodletting.

    • We are living in the biggest paradigm shift in half a millenium. Consider the Byzantine calendars said the world would end in 1492, self fulfilling prophesy. If you look through history everyone who said the world would end was right. THEIR world ended, rest continued. Westerners don’t blame Turkey, they blame 1342 Thessalonike zealot massacres and 1346 Cantacusene omphaloscophic usurpation, all orchestrated by Moscow. Mesoamerica likewise had given up and turned to self loathing long before the arrival of
Columbus. It seems the northern hemisphere is definitely headed for a demographic implosion (with all the same self loathing) and the southern hemisphere will overtake it. Theodosian Code promoted confiscatory taxation and Diocletian socialism (Rostovtzeff 1926, Gibbon ch. 13) that Toynbee (1939, IV p. 399) said caused Anatolia to apostase into Islam. Massacres of sixty thousand Latins in 1182 Istanbul blinded Enrico Dandolo who sought revenge in 1205 when Russians subdued by Mongols. Pope made Charlemagne emperor because Irene Fourtipace invented welfare. Justinian closing the universities promoted plague and Islam. Justinian Novella 85 is the precedent for gun control.

  27. UPDATE: Contracts Released For CDC Purchasing Of Phone Data To Track Americans’ Compliance With COVID Lockdowns
    By ProTrumpNews Staff Mar. 16, 2023 2:45 pm0 Comments

The CDC used phone location data to track millions of Americans.

They were using the data to monitor compliance with COVID lockdowns.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention used phone location data to track millions Americans in 2021.

The CDC monitored curfew zones, churches, schools, neighbor-to-neighbor visits and trips to pharmacies through SafeGraph, a controversial data broker.

The CDC purchased the phone data and used Covid-19 as an excuse to buy the data more quickly and in larger quantities according to documents exclusively obtained by Motherboard through a FOIA request.

The CDC used the data to determine whether Americans were complying with Covid lockdown orders.

The CDC paid two firms, SafeGraph and Cuebiq, a combined $628,000 for the data.

Both contracts were signed in 2021.

The initial reporting on the topic only had a single screenshot of a single page of a contract – the combined contracts run 71 pages in total.

  28. Radical MN Lt. Gov. Flanagan Says “Good Parents” Support Trans Intervention of Minors (VIDEO)
    By Margaret Flavin Mar. 16, 2023 5:00

Minnesota Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan has joined the attack on parents who don’t tow the radical Democrat party talking points.

Flanagan made the remarks at an event where MN Governor Tim Walz signed an executive order to force state agencies to protect “gender-affirming” health care.

In the remarks, Flanagan implied that “good” parents go along with radical transgender intervention. Her implication seems to be that parents, who want to protect children from the devastating life-long consequences of body altering surgery and drugs, are bad parents.

Flanagan, wearing a “Protect Trans Kids” t-shirt with violent imagery on it, told the crowd, “Because let’s be clear….this is life-affirming and life-saving healthcare. When our children tell us who they are, it is our job as grown-ups to listen and to believe them. That’s what it means to be a good parent.”

  29. The Great Reset: Journalist Discovers Greta Thunberg’s Ties to Klaus Schwab’s World Economic Forum
    By Jim Hoft Mar. 16, 2023 5:40 pm166 Comments

Journalist Dr. Simon Goddek dug into Greta Thunberg’s background and discovered that it was no coincidence that Greta was discovered at a protest on August 20, 2018 and that it was Ingmar Rentzhog who discovered little Greta protesting global warming.

On August 20, 2018, Thunberg, then aged 15, skipped school to protest outside the Swedish parliament for more action against climate change.

Ingmar Rentzhog runs the company WeDontHaveTime and is chairman of the far-left think tank Global Challenge.

Greta and her mother released a book four days after she was photographed at the parliament protest.

And the rest is history. Now we get lectures by a young brainwashed communist with no grasp on reality.

  30. FINALLY! Hope For Parents Who Don’t Want Their Children Exposed to”Rogue Sex-Education” In School…Here’s How Michigan’s Great Schools Initiative (GSI) Is Leading The Way
    By Patty McMurray Mar. 16, 2023 6:15 pm16 Comments

All across America, parents are going on offense to fight back against radical sexual ideologies and gender identity agendas in K-12 schools.

100 Percent Fed Up guest author Dr. Becky Behrends reports – In Michigan, a grassroots organization known as the Great Schools Initiative (GSI) is at the forefront of this fight. GSI is a non-profit organization established for the purpose of coordinating “collaborative, high impact, education-focused initiatives designed to transform declining schools into highly effective teaching institutions.” Their current primary focus is to get schools in Michigan to be compliant with state and federal law in regard to sex education. Schools that are not in compliance are allowing “rogue” sex education to take place

Compliance with Michigan’s sex education laws includes, but is not limited to, the following:
Keeping sex education confined only to sex education classes and courses
Only qualified and certified instructors should teach sex education
Parents should be notified of any and all sex education instruction provided by the school at any time and in all grade levels
Parents should be given the opportunity to review sex-ed course material
School districts providing sex education are to have Sex Education Advisory Boards (SEAB).
Sex education curriculum and materials have to be approved by the SEAB and local school boards
School districts must accept written parental notices opting out their students from sex education without any negative consequences ensuing
