Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

The interconnectedness of the major banks should not be underestimated, especially animals such as Deutsche Bank.     • Thank you EB, I read the letter and was saddened by what has happened to this young woman. There are many, many people who feel the same way now, about a trip to the doctor’s office. Recently I had a man who paid a visit to his doctor tell me his “doctor” is still pushing the vaccines. Shocking. I know doctors are busy, but after 2 and a half years and all the information that is out there, please, please.

      Today I had a woman in her 30s tell me she and her husband will never get another shot. After only one shot, she continues to have chest pains, something she never had prior to getting the shot and her husband after many months still has a pain in his left arm. They will not go to their doctor to be further humiliated, what a sad state of affairs.

      Schwab, Soros, Gates, Yuval Noah Harari, Fauci, The mailin guy, Trudeau, Freeland, Singh and all the other global freaks have said Covid is the best thing to move forward the Great Reset, it has certainly set people’s faith in doctors, so-called Healthcare workers and our systems back.

  19. Quebec grants $25 million to Moderna

    The Legault government takes out the checkbook to give a grant of $16.6 million and a forgivable interest-free loan of $8.4 million to the American giant Moderna to build its factory here rather than in Ontario.

    Last March, The newspaper pointed out that the pharmaceutical giant was knocking on the door of the Quebec state. It took less than six months for the Legault government to untie its purse strings with millions.

    “For reasons of confidentiality, we cannot share more details on this subject”, cut short yesterday at the Log Patricia Gauthier, CEO of Moderna Canada, about the future $180 million plant.

    In the office of the Minister of the Economy, Pierre Fitzgibbon, it is confirmed that Quebec will not grant more than $25 million to the company.

    It is still unclear where in the Montreal area the vaccine plant will be built.

    • BBC’s ‘vaccine expert’ just happens to be in charge of Pfizer’s Vaccine Centre

      21 July 2022 Update. Note: this article was originally published several days before the BBC documentary “Unvaccinated” was screened on 20 July 2022. It was in response to the Daily Mail article about the programme. Having watched the programme it was every bit as biased as expected and there is a lot more to say about it; so I will be updating with a new article. I have, however, removed the word ‘independent’ from the title of this article since there was no explicit claim in the programme that the experts used were ‘independent’. However, neither the participants nor the viewers were told of the crucial Pfizer links of these experts. This was an appalling omission by the BBC. Moreover, when speaking about the US pharma companies Pfizer and Moderna in the programme Prof Adam Finn stated that he ‘acted as a buffer between them and the public’ implying some kind of independent role). This is a remarkable statement given his position explained below.

      18 July Update: Now updated below to show that, additionally, their ‘vaccine is safe’ for pregnant women ‘expert’ just happens to be the PI of the Pfizer Covid vaccine in preganancy trial.

      As I reported in this previous post the BBC is screening a documentary on 20 July in which mathematician Prof Hannah Fry – with the help of ‘experts’ – attempts to convince 7 members of the public (who have so far refused) to take the Covid vaccine. As I pointed out the BBC (in the publicity for the programme) already signposted the likely extreme bias in the programme by massive underestimating the number of unvaccinated people in the UK, hence trying to present such people as a tiny extreme fringe.

      This newspaper article about the Programme unwittingly provides more evidence of just how biased the programme is going to be. To give just one example, we have this:

      Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi had a message for Secretary of State Antony Blinken: Designate Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism — otherwise, Congress will.

      The warning, made on a call between the two earlier this week, was described to POLITICO by two sources familiar with the conversation. Spokespersons for the State Department and Pelosi’s office declined to comment.

      Congress gave the power to label another country as a state sponsor of terrorism to the secretary of state. Some in Congress, though, say lawmakers could pass a law to make the designation without the State Department, thus pressuring Russian President Vladimir Putin on their own.

      “There’s no legal reason Congress could not pass legislation to effectively designate Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism,” a Democratic aide said. “Congress passing legislation is obviously a more complicated route than the secretary making the designation, but it would give the administration the political cover it needs to escalate economic pressure and rhetoric against Putin.”

      Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) and Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.), for example, introduced a bill in May that would both underline the Senate’s view that Russia engages in acts of terrorism, but it mainly calls on Blinken to make the designation official. They traveled to Kyiv earlier this month to promote the measure alongside Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who supports the U.S. officially placing the label on Russia. A similar resolution was also introduced in the House.

      Pelosi’s comments to Blinken highlight the chasm in the actions lawmakers want the administration to take and what the secretary is comfortable doing. Members of the House and Senate push for the designation, which compels the U.S. government to restrict foreign assistance, curtail defense exports and sales, place controls on exports of dual-use items, and more.

      The label also “implicates other sanctions laws that penalize persons and countries engaging in certain trade with state sponsors,” per the State Department, meaning the U.S. may have to expand its sanctions much more broadly than specific sectors of the Russian economy. The current four U.S.-designated state sponsors of terrorism –– Cuba, North Korea, Iran and Syria –– trade far less with the world than Russia does.

      That may explain why the State Department has long been skeptical of what that move would accomplish.

      “The sanctions we have in place and have taken are the same steps that would be entailed by the designation of a state sponsor of terrorism,” State Department spokesperson Ned Price told reporters in April, adding: “We’ll take a close look at all potential authorities. This is one of them.”

      Some experts, though, say the move would ratchet up the pressure on the Kremlin and make all dealings with Russia for U.S. persons near impossible. “Labeling Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism would be significant because it’s a blanket measure,” said Edward Fishman, an expert on sanctions at the Atlantic Council think tank in Washington, D.C. “It injects a risk into all dealings with Russia.”

      That said, he noted Congress hasn’t yet made a major move to punish Russia five months into the war. For secondary sanctions and beyond, “having a congressional mandate makes those sanctions far more effective,” Fishman said.

      Russian forces have attacked numerous civilian targets, including schools and hospitals and places where civilians have taken refuge. The invasion has resulted in countless civilian deaths.

      “Russia is destroying our people,” Olga Zelenska, the Ukrainian president’s wife, told Congress on Wednesday.

      If either resolution passes on Capitol Hill — or a full terrorism sponsor designation gets through both chambers — Blinken may feel more pressure to side with lawmakers and make the designation.

The news has left the state’s community legal centres infuriated. The groups cautioned that children lacked the capacity to pay or comprehend the enforcement mechanism. As per a The Guardian report, children between the age of 10-17 in NSW have been issued close to 3,000 fines for not properly complying with the public health act and these penalties are usually for a mind-boggling amount of $1000.

  28. House Democrats blocked a motion Wednesday that would have barred oil from the nation’s emergency petroleum reserves from being shipped overseas to entities under the control of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

    The motion, proposed by California Republican Rep. David Valadao, would have made it illegal for oil from the emergency stockpile to be sent to China after President Joe Biden’s latest release sent 1 million barrels to Beijing enterprises. Democrats killed the motion with 219 voting against and 206 Republicans voting in favor.

    “It is irresponsible and dangerous for the United States to provide a foreign adversary with fuel that we need to keep here in the United States in case of an emergency,” Valadao said promoting his proposal on the floor of the House. “It seems the Biden administration is helping to support China’s national security at the expense of our own.”

  42. Russian Government Launches Legal Bid to Close Down Jewish Agency Operations

    The Jewish Agency is facing the shuttering of its operations in Russia, following an announcement on Thursday from the Russian Ministry of Justice that it is embarking on legal action to close the organization down.

    A spokeswoman for the Basmanny District Court in Moscow told the Interfax news service that the ministry had filed a request to remove the agency from the official state register of legal entities in Russia.

    The ministry claimed that the agency violated Russian law by allegedly maintaining a database of Russian Jews planning to emigrate to Israel. More than 16,000 Russian Jews have departed for Israel since Moscow launched the invasion of Ukraine on Feb. 24…

    Lapid’s elevation to the post of prime minister following the collapse of Naftali Bennett’s government earlier this month has reportedly worried Russian officials. Earlier this week, Israel’s Channel 12 broadcaster quoted Anatoly Viktorov, the Russian Ambassador in Tel Aviv, commenting privately that with Lapid now installed as premier, he anticipated “difficulties” in the two country’s relations.

    The Jewish Agency has had to be as careful as the _Mossad_ in its mission to rescue Jews at risk. The staff finds itself in a very delicate position in certain countries. Say, Turkey. Or Russia.

    The Israeli govt. cannot indulge in public statements airing feelings about such countries if they have large Jewish populations. These might become political hostages irrespective of their relationship with the Jewish state.

    Virtue signaling is a luxury.

    Yet the current, horrid govt. and its 0bamanation media made noises about Ukraine. Which did NOT reflect the position of Israelis who know firsthand the situation in that part of the world. NONE of the anti-Zelensky demonstrations made the news.

    Nor did they consult with Agency officials in Russia, who would’ve told them how difficult things have become. Infinitely worse since the Chief Rabbi of Moscow revealed that he and his wife had gone into exile.

      The author’s still thinking of Russia in the Yeltsin era of the 1990s. He has no idea how the army has evolved over the last decade or so. There is no more conscription unless invaded!

      Russia hasn’t mobilized yet – not till the “Special Military Operation” is declared “War”. If Putin annexes the territories, they’re Russia, and that’ll mean war. If Ukes use HIMARS on Crimea (Russia), that’ll mean war. If Nato crosses the line, that’ll mean war.

      Until then, only 20% of the fighters are professional Russian soldiers. And, yes, they’re disproportionately NOT ethnic Russians. The military represents an opportunity that beats construction or prison guard. Racism is a fact of life, not a cardinal sin in most of the world.

      Other soldiers are natives of Luhansk and Donetsk who are fighting on their own land, for their own land. They’ve been under siege for eight years: some left the region, others might’ve anticipated conscription and learned how to fire a gun.

      The rest of the soldiers now are professional militias, mostly Caucasus tards. Mercenaries. (Russians don’t use euphemisms.) They’re very experienced, ruthless, and effective. They get paid well, their families get pensions when they’re killed, but their lives don’t count. The Wagner Group is higher status, like Blackrock.

      No question, Putin is extremely stingy with lives of his own ethnic Russians, obsessed with their demographic collapse. Which is why he’ll use tactical nukes rather than slug it out in a full-on war with NATO.

      • Thank you, I got a late start in watching and reporting on the war and I am playing catch up.

        Some of the article struck me as being wrong but I had to do some things and forgot to comment on the things I thought were wrong.

        I have been ignoring the articles saying Ukraine is winning. As I have said before Putin is using this as a training war.

        I pray we find some way to keep NATO from starting a war with Russia. That is a war that neither side would win.

        If a war between NATO and Russia starts the US will probably be heavily involved in a civil war and hopefully won’t be involved in the fighting. I am hoping that we aren’t in on the fighting. My best friend has 2 grandsons in the military, 1 paratroop and on in the Navy.
