Reader’s Links for December 24, 2021

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

  1. A sign at the entrance to an apartment building declares anyone entering who is not a resident will be subject to “contact tracing”.

What does this even mean, I wonder? Surely it does not mean that every stranger’s extended contacts will be investigated. The exponential implications of this are mind boggling. The tentacles of the State reach beyond rational health care, into our private lives, into our private coconuts? In fact it is a virtual lockdown and prison by proxy. The signature required from the visitor implicates both the visitor and the visited. “They” gotcha. Now they argue it IS their bloody business who you see because the drama of a medical emergency necessitates it.

The State control mechanisms of the Soviet Union couldn’t hold a candle to what we now have. There, all one had to do was pray to the God-Is-State Communist Party to keep The Man off your back.

Add now into our equation a State-encouraged doped-up, dumbed-down, de-fathered, frightened, zombified demographic and you’ve got yourself a whole lot of un-restless natives, right?

Actually, I don’t think so. You can pacify most of sheep some of the time, but not all of the sheep all of the time. This is just the way the human animal rolls. What presently passes for passive is, in fact, loaded with psychological discomfort. Undoubtedly our State-planned mentacide, or capture, has been masterfully executed. The problem, however, is with the captor’s cage.

The lion tamer enters the cage with great confidence, despite knowing that 25% of the time he can fail. His imposing presentation is a large part of the lion’s capture. He stands tall and cracks his whip. The lion is fooled, for the moment, into forgetting his animal spirit. Partly by fear and partly by confusion. That master is, briefly, the highest power that lion knows.

All that needs to happen for reversion to reality is a momentary lapse of spell. It is then that the incredible, even ridiculous vulnerability of the tamer is revealed. The show ends rather quickly after that.

I invite all lion tamers in the audience for their input on this. Especially those who have partially-eaten heads. Your experience in this regard is particularly valuable.

Catch me if you can, PC. Ha!

  2. For Richard on this Christmas Eve, who can’t leave our foxhole if we don’t let him:

    T’was the night before Lockdown
    And all through the world
    The pressure was building
    In the poor human herd
Bamboozled by leaders and seeders of doubt
The people were frightened by all that came out
Some drank the Kool-Aid and claimed they were fine
Then turned on the Others who’d politely declined
Controlled opposition was the truly big play
With leaders like Orbàn on pretty display
You’ve got to look back now to know what was what
When the what that was back has now zoomed to the front.
And the timing of drop-outs like Dorsey and Kurz
Made the ominous sound that something quite worse
    Was coming.

The monsters we grew in the garden of we
Sprouted like weeds from the Keynesian dust
Believing themselves the gods of our kind
Deciding who lives and who lives, then, to serve
Dictating the cadence and rhythm of life
Like the change of this poem to a drummer unknown:

“Obey or Obey,” read the sign that they saw
As they arrived at their “camp” of the Woebegone
And suddenly all colour just drained from their eyes
Dripping in drops from flowers and skies
Flowing all hope from the buckets of they
That were emptied in ditches just there out the door
And they sat as poor Christians and rebels quite sad
In this jail for Others all branded as bad
Dejected by cruelty shown by their brothers
    And all. Seemed. Lost.

But then from the corner of a dimly-lit cell
Came the sound of a voice familiar as hell:
    “Ho, Ho, Ho,” it rumbled.
“No, it can’t be–,” said one in the crowd
“–But it is,” said the voice as the body emerged
From the shadow to light so they could all see
“My name is Saint Nick–or Santa–you choose. Strange place to meet but here we are, stuck. I’m grounded this year for the first time, what luck. They say I can’t fly because I’m not vaxxed. So ho, flippin’ ho. How ’bout that?”
The Others looked ’round at each other quite struck
By this image of Santa not quite what they’d thought
A cigarette hung from his lips with great care
In hopes that the ash would not drop in his hair
This dirty-mouthed angel who swore like a sailor
This dirty-faced angel who came from the gutter
His red suit in tatters and the stink of old gin
Knew all to be known ’bout the spirit of hope
Perhaps like no other this heart of St. Nick
Pumped blood so true blue that the Everyman mattered
“But why, on Earth, of all people, you?” asked the plumber from some village unknown. “You’re magical!”
“Well, I know a few tricks, this much is true. But these bad guys are good–they know a few, too.
They put CF-18s all ready to scramble
If my reindeer take off for my Christmas Eve ramble
They promised they’d blow my arse from the sky
If I gave any hint of wanting to try.”
“But if Santa is cooked like a goose with his magic, how do mere mortals not end up as tragic?”
“My goose is not cooked my dear old friend, Roger. I remember you well from when you were small. I gave you a hockey stick and maybe a ball. But no, my goose is all good. In fact even better. You see it gets stronger in dark stormy weather. I’ve come on my own to give you all hope, to show you some way through this black hopeless joke:
The sum of your parts is greater than you
If you stand all for One
    And that’s how you move
    The collective that stands
    Against the one man
    Has lost all humanity
    Across all the land
    So move now as one
    For freedom jihad.

Most people, like rivers, will go with the flow
But you are like salmon who struggle upstream
Yet vaxxed or unvaxxed, the point will be moot
The prisons will fill at the end of a boot
    A booster–or ten–you won’t see an end
So walk now, dear friends, to the world without fear
The life you once had is really quite near.”

And then like a giant of one-million strong,
They stood on their feet to right every wrong
And started to move with such motion and grace
That the tyrants watched Hope moving from outer space
“You see,” said Santa, “just what you can do?
By putting your fears behind in their place?
    Don’t stop and don’t blink
    Don’t doubt and don’t worry
    Their power, dear friends
    Is less than you think!”

The guards of the prison all loaded and locked
Had been having a laugh at the expense of this lot
But the smile was wiped from their lips and their eyes
When the size of the giant emerged by surprise
Shaking the ground with thunderous weight
Stopping at nothing–at no flimsy gate
Stopping at nothing till freedom was had
And suddenly fear was gift wrapped and sent
To the guards of this prison
    Whose barrels went bent
And with not a shot fired
    The prisoners went

    Then from above
    The people all heard
    The voice of St. Nick
    So joyful and loud:
“On Delta! On Covid! Omicron and Xi
The crack of my whip I lay upon thee!
Now Fauci! now Gates! All tyrants that be!
    We’ll drive you to Hell
    Oh Hell you shall see!”

Then at last from above humanity heard
Dear Santa exclaim as he drove out of sight

Therefore, how can people be so transpaedophobic by preventing them getting into fun-bed with kids?

    • the jerusalem post – COVID-19 Omicron outbreak due to homosexuality and Israel – Al-Aqsa Imam

Imam of al-Aqsa mosque Issam Amira claimed homosexuality and the Israeli government and media are to blame for the spread of the Omicron variant of COVID-19.

The LGBTQ+ community, as well as the Israeli government and media, are to blame for the rapid spread of the Omicron variant of COVID-19, Imam of al-Aqsa Mosque Issam Amira has claimed, according to N12.

The Palestinian Islamic scholar and preacher made the controversial statements in a sermon during Friday prayers at the Islamic holy site in Jerusalem.

According to Amira, the Omicron variant “did not spread until the government and media announced its existence.”

Amira went on to claim that the government and media that “brought the variant” are the same that “allow and encourage homosexuality.”

This is not the first time that the Imam has made controversial and problematic comments.

In 2020, Amira was arrested by Israel Police and received a six-month ban from al-Aqsa Mosque for praising the Muslim who murdered and beheaded French teacher Samuel Paty for using illustrations of the prophet Mohammed.

Right-wing Zionist NGO Im Tirzu reportedly responded to Amira’s controversial comments, calling for the “dangerous person who should sit behind bars” to be arrested by Israel Police as soon as possible.

“His incitement poses a danger to the LGBTQ+ community and to the Jewish people,” the NGO said.

MEMRI – Palestinian Islamic Scholar Sheikh Issam Amira In Al-Aqsa Mosque Address: The Omicron Variant Is Brought Upon Us Because Of Muslim Rulers Who Permit Homosexuality, Follow Feminist Organizations

Sheikh Issam Amira: “Why has this abomination spread? Why has coronavirus – with its Indian variant and its Omicron variant – spread?

What are these names, these diseases, that were not known to our forefathers? The reason is clear.

‘Immorality never appears among people to such an extent that they make it known to all.’ Who would make this known to all? The common people? No. It is the infidel and licentious media that makes it known to all.

It is our rulers who permit and promote homosexuality. It is the rulers who follow the feminist organizations with their CEDAW, gender issues, and whatever…

These are all the precursors of the spread of diseases, which did not exist among our forefathers.

“It is necessary to unite the efforts of all Muslims, individually and collectively, against these ruthless rulers, who have brought these catastrophes upon us.”

  11. “Parenti serpenti – Dearest Relatives, Poisonous Relations”

A typical southern Italy family reunites in the native home in Sulmona (Abruzzo) for Christmas Seasons.

Apparently everything goes marvelously: the parents, 2 sons and 2 daughters, 1 nephew and 1 niece, and 3 brother/sister in law (1 bachelor and 1 couple without sons). Spending just two weeks a year together they always pretended to love each other, acting like a model family.

Getting old, the mother Trieste, thinking to his older, sick husband too, during the big Christmas lunch, decides to ask hospitality with ONE and just ONE of the sons. A tragedy.

Instead of the the idyllic family of the first half part, in the second the sleeping grudges and resentments came out explosively, discovering the painful realities about each one, the reasons for which they shouldn’t take their parents at home, OK, but yet too weak to get out of the task. Thought it was a right, correct query nobody wants that burden inventing the weirdest excuses. The war burst on different fronts, reckoning every old rancor.

The perfectly built dialogues create a nice spectrum of the variegated accents of Italian language (north/south), as it could have happened everywhere. Either watching several times you can’t find a hole in the script, thank overall to the skilled actors (Marina Confalone’s plane sequence is excellent!). The hypocritical social substratum (typical of small towns) where that family grew up and blamed as vile for years, eventually permeated through them and led the dear offspring to that evil ending.

The most poisonous dark comedy made in Italy in the last 20 years, and probably ever.
