Reader’s Links for December 18, 2021

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

  1. ** New Brunswick backtracks on vaccine passports for grocery stores **

After sustained pressure by True North and its readers, the New Brunswick government has announced it is no longer allowing grocery stores to bar unvaccinated Canadians.

The announcement came Friday in a government news release on interim COVID measures directed at slowing the Omicron variant.

“An option allowing stores that sell groceries to ask patrons 12 and over for proof of vaccination, instead of implementing distancing requirements, is being removed from the province’s mandatory order.”

The announcement goes on to state that “the original intention was to give stores a choice, and that those choosing the proof-of-vaccination option would offer delivery or curbside pickup; it was never the intention for anyone to believe they could not access groceries.”

  2. Vlad, you spoke about fishing the other day. Specifically about giving a fish slack in the line to tire it out. Dear Sir, for all of your erudite acuity you could not be more mistaken about this. You missed a critical point. However since you’ve only gone fishing once in your life your perception is excusable. Watch, now, as I pounce like an intellectual leopard upon your folly.

As a recovering fishing-a-holic I have deep insights into fish. Some called me a fishing savant. Others called me a master baiter. Don’t laugh. It’s not even funny. One must be able to crawl inside the mind of the fish to be successful.

Every species has its own strengths and vulnerabilities.

Take Perch, for example. Delicious and plentiful, the succulant Perch makes a fine meal at any table. Bait presentation need not be nuanced, at all. While relatively small in size it is possible to catch dozens on a good day, in the right honey hole. And while it may sound harsh to refer to the Perch as stupid, the abundance of this firmly-fleshed fantasy in my freezer of yesteryear can only attest to its sub-Saharan-like IQ. Let’s be frank, I say. In a world filled with lies we only fool ourselves by pretending that the Perch thinks for itself. Usually found at relatively shallow depths the Perch happily bites in a groupthink frenzy.

In contrast to the almost mentally-retarded Perch we have the noble Walleye, or as it is commonly known in that vast backwater that is Canada, Pickeral.

The shy Walleye prefers darker, deeper waters. It is found in weed line and drop-off underwater structures, waiting to ambush its next meal as it passes by. Often times the angler will not even know that his presentation has been taken up by this timid, suspicious creature. It is only when he gives a little pull that he will feel the weight of this culinary trophy.

Now set that hook hard, dear fisherperson! The boney mouth of this muscular adversary requires the angler to make the hook set hard and timely! Too soon and you have merely pulled the bait from the beast’s mouth. Patience is key. Watch as your line slowly straightens out. Much like the majestic Muskellunge, Mr. Walleye does not readily accept your narrative. No Sir. He makes off with it stealthily, like a thief, feeling its texture and taste in his mouth, assessing its veracity.

Excellent, then, your skill will be rewarded. Your heart rate increases just as you see your line has become taught. Will the fish realize the danger he is in? Does he fathom the intelligence and technology that presents to him such a credible story? Of course not! But you, the experienced weaver of fiction, do not become presumptuous that your highly-nuanced narrative is completely sold. No. You assume he is circumspect. You remain still. You imagine your minnow in his toothy mouth held crossways. You know he is ptoceeding to his lair because the line still slowly moves. You know that when the line stops he is preparing to turn the presentation lengthwise for swallowing. Wait for it. The line stops momentarily. You twitch not a muscle lest you drop your beer can, having it resonate as it crashes to the floor of your aluminum boat.

There! The line has begun moving again, see? The Walleye has decided that the narrative you have presented to him–that of a safe and free lunch–is believable. He has swallowed your bait. It is now that I reveal where you were wrong, Vlad.

You musn’t allow slack in your line from here on. Set the drag on your reel so that it corresponds to the poundage of your line and doesn’t allow it to snap. The fact is you don’t really know how well your hook is set. And let’s face it, you know he knows, now, that the whole thing was a damned lie. Give him any slack at all and he SPITS THE HOOK! This is what you missed because your inexperience.

Now, let him run. At the end of each effort reel him back in a little closer. Finally, once exhausted, you net that bad-boy lunker beside your boat. He’s all yours.

Goebbels was a master baiter. Hitler likely never met a master baiter he didn’t love truly, madly and deeply.

The extroverted Big-Mouth Bass is explosive and almost reptilian considering the range of depths and shallows he will occupy. A real fighter, you will sell him your story at the early-morning lily pads. Go twenty-pound test with that brawler.

The finicky and almost neurotic Trout may be considered the intelligencia. In small, deep lakes inject a live worm with air, place a sinker twelve to twenty inches up, then drop this story to the lake bed. The ballooned worm will be at the optimum depth for trout cruising by for dinner. Violent and unforgiving once fooled, be sure to kill the Trout more quickly than all other fish. Remember, just because the Trout helped got you where you are, you owe him nothing in the real world of power.

I could go on, but I think you get the picture. Just because you think you have set your hook does not mean the fish is caught. The real fight begins only once he realizes he has been lied to and begins to struggle. This is why you must try even harder at this critical juncture.

The more truth that becomes evident to the fish regarding his perilous situation, the more you must double-down on your efforts to push the lie and keep that line taught!

As an aside, my fishing career ended the same way my chess career did. On the edge of sanity, firting with madness.

I became a good little chess player around grade five. I won the school championship against the favourite by having an epiphany that let me see five or six moves ahead. Winning came easily after that. The next summer the family went to Hungary where I got to play against my uncle. I never won a single game against him, but the games lasted a good long time, a testament to my talent I dare say. The old man got his chess chops in Soviet prison. Both he and my aunt were highschool teachers. I guess she had been watching me, and decided it wasn’t quite normal for a kid my age to sit so long at a chess board. She told me a story about a man who had become obsessed with chess and went insane. Her story worked, and I relaxed. In fact I lost chess altogether. I would learn later in life that my aunt was a pathological white liar for the purposes of her own little inner-familial manipulations. Go figure.

Next week my deep-dive psychological analysis on the Stockholm Syndrome currently gripping the Carp communuty, and the lowly waste-of-aquatic-skin that is the Red-Finned Sucker.

Here is actual video footage of me at the peak of my prowess:

    • LOL loved your fishing advice. The first time I ever went fishing, the men I went with were known as the best fishermen for miles around. I was surprised to learn that we were to meet at 4AM AM AM, not PM.

I arrived at the dock wearing a pop top embroidered with different species of fish and a fish purse. I saw them exchange grins.

To make a long story short, I caught the most fish, I have never seen grown men laugh so hard. The shock on their faces when I pulled the eel off my 32 pound salmon and chopped it to bits.

I learned a lot that hilarious day, expressions I had never heard and hope never to hear again. I bought a green chartreuse lure, because it was sooo pretty, and it turned out fish love green chartreuse and embroidered pop tops. LOL

  3. Dutch set to announce new lockdown, press conference at 7pm Saturday
Prime minister Mark Rutte has called a press conference on Saturday evening to announce tough new measures to brake the spread of the Omicron variant of coronavirus. Rutte and health minister Hugo de Jonge will be joined by Jaap van Dissel, head of the public health institute RIVM, at the 7pm meeting, broadcaster NOS reported. Ministers are meeting regional safety board chiefs on Saturday morning and will take a final decision about what measures are to be taken in the afternoon. The government’s Outbreak Management Team has recommended a tough lockdown and the closure of all non-essential shops as well as cafes, schools, cinemas, museums and fitness centres. De Jonge and Rutte earlier made it clear they would not hesitate to impose more measures if the OMT thinks it necessary. The cabinet had asked for its advice on how to combat the Omicron variant of coronavirus, which now accounts for a quarter of cases in Amsterdam. Van Dissel estimates Omicron could lead to 600 hospital admissions a day, including 100 to 125 intensive care patients if fast action is not taken. The Dutch campaign to give everyone a booster injection has now become a race against time to beat Omicron, Van Dissel said earlier this week.

    • Her Conclusion “I consider this procedure irresponsible: anyone who interferes with fundamental rights on the basis of false figures, among other things, should not be surprised if their acceptance rapidly decreases.”

Public Health officials who have lied about and obstructed the use of life saving drugs. i.e. ivermectin and HQ…….?.

Politicians who have lied about the number of Covid deaths
politicians who have lied about the number of adverse reactions and deaths from the injections.

Dr., nurses, healthcare workers and pharmacists who have suppressed the use of life saving drugs and promoted the injections.

Universities, Professors, Teachers who have promoted the injections all for the greater good.

Schwab, WHO, Gates, Soros, Boris, Trudeau, Freeland, the mail in guy, Obama, Bush, Clinton’s, Harris, the plotters of mass destruction population wise worldwide. damn them all to hell.

  4. Ten arrests after blockade of military police barracks at Schiphol
The Royal Netherlands Marechaussee (KMar) arrested ten people on Saturday during a protest at the Queen Máxima barracks in Badhoevedorp, near Schiphol. Action group Stop the War on Migrants blocked part of the KMar barracks.
The dozens of participants said they demonstrated against, among others, the European border security agency Frontex and the European migration policy.

Abolish Frontex: Blockade Koningin Máxima barracks Royal Marechaussee in Badhoevedorp [Amsterdam Airport, Schiphol]
Badhoevedorp. Netherlands. December 18, 2021 – Since 7 o’clock this morning, on International Migrants Day and also international Abolish Frontex day of action, Stop the War on Migrants has blocked the entrances to the Queen Máxima Barracks of the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee (KMar) in Badhoevedorp (Sloterweg 400). The Border Security Training Center located there is a training location for EU border security agency Frontex. The action is a protest against Frontex, the Dutch cooperation with Frontex, the European migration policy and the role of the KMar in border control and deportations.
In addition to the blockade of the gates, Stop the War on Migrants is present with banners, flyers and a sound system on which, among other things, the names of refugees who died because of European policies are read out. Since 2015, tens of thousands of people have died unnecessarily while trying to find a safer life in Fortress Europe. This coincides with a major expansion of Frontex and deals with non-EU countries to stop refugees. This is not a coincidence, it is correlation. The situation at European borders, such as the border between Poland and Belarus, on the Greek islands and in the Channel, is becoming increasingly dire.

On 8 November 2021, Sahrawi woman human rights defender Sultana Khaya was attacked, sexually and physically assaulted and forcibly injected with an unknown liquid in her home by Moroccan security forces. Sultana Khaya’s sister and elderly mother were also attacked and sexually assaulted by the forces.

On 12 May 2021, several masked Moroccan security agents raided the home of woman human rights defender Sultana Khaya, and sexually assaulted her and her sister. This was the second raid on her house in 48 hours. On 10 May 2021, several Moroccan plain-clothed security agents raided Sultana Khaya’s home in Boujdour, and physically assaulted her. The security agents also detained human rights defender Babuizid Muhammed Saaed Labhi and two student activists who were staying in her house. Sultana Khaya has been under de facto house arrest since 19 November 2020.
Sultana Khaya is a Sahrawi woman human rights defender whose work focuses on women’s rights and promoting the right to self-determination for the Sahrawi people. The woman human rights defender is President of the organisation League for the Defense of Human Rights and against Plunder of Natural Resources. 6. When I was in the refugee camp in Austria, I got to know a number of interesting people.  One of them is Ester, a daughter of a pastor who (then ) had two young sons (she added a daughter once in Canada) – whom I used to spend a lot of time with while in the camp, both babysitting and teaching them English (with my limited knowledge).  Both boys are long grown up and pastors in their own right, but, that is not the point of this story.
This story takes place in British Columbia (BC), Canada.

Ester’s husband was a housebuilder.  Not one of the large ones, who lobby the politicians – he ran a very small business and did very custom work and repairs.
Ester’s husband died in March 2021.  He had lived a long and rich life, and Ester still lives in the house he had built for the two of them.
After her husband died, Ester submitted his death certificate to any and every branch of the government that regulates small business.
Yet, in the fall, she was contacted by the Canadian tax agency (CRA or CCRA – they like to mix it up), demanding that she pay taxes (projected from past years of business, as is the usual) on her husband’s business.  She informed them that there is no business any more, as her husband had passed away.  They told her that she has to go to the bureau that regulates businesses in BC and register that the business is shut down and no longer operational.
    So, she did that.

However, she was told that due to COVID, there were government grants to help small businesses, and that it was now not possible to close a small business because after COVID, government subsidies might make it functional again.  So, it was no longer possible to register the closure of a small business.  She argued that there was no longer any business, because her husband WAS the business and now he was dead.  She presented them with his death certificate.
The bureaucrat said that was all good and well, but, due to government COVID policies, they were not allowed to register the shut down of any small businesses.
So, Ester went back to the CRA/CCRA, telling them that even though her husband WAS the small business, and even though he had died in March, she is not legally able to close his small business, due to COVID measures.
The CRA/CCRA told her that since the small business could not be closed, she has to pay taxes on the projected income the business would have made had her husband still been alive and running it.

  7. THREE ISSUES and none of them are good.

FIRST, Gov of Canada, Public Health Agency. Call for Tender published yesterday Dec 17, 2121. A summary would be the government wants to track, and quite possibly access, your mobile phone without your permission or knowledge.

Suggestion to be taken very seriously: If attending a march or rally for Freedom, removing your SIM card from your mobile phone would be a great idea.

Description: “The Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) requires access to cell-tower/operator location data that is secure, processed, and timely in addition to being adequately vetted for security, legal, privacy and transparency considerations to assist in the response to the COVID-19 pandemic and for other public health applications. Aggregated indicators derived from cell-tower/operator location data provide insightful information and allow for meaningful analysis on the mobility (or movement) of populations in Canada. These analyses and findings provide situational awareness and help inform policy, public health messaging, evaluation of public health measures, and other aspects related to public health response, programming, planning and preparedness.”

SECOND: this is USA Patent dated August 31, 2021. Full text and more, but here is the summary:

“System and methods for anonymously selecting subjects for treatment against an infectious disease caused by a pathogen. The system comprises a plurality of electronic devices comprising instructions to generate an ID and, when in proximity of another such electronic device, one or both electronic devices transmit/receive the ID to/from the other electronic device. Then, a score is generated based on a plurality of such received IDs. Additionally, based on information received from a server, relevant treatment instructions are displayed to the subjects based on the received information and the score. The server comprises instructions for sending to the plurality of electronic devices the information to be displayed with the relevant treatment instructions, additionally the server and/or the electronic devices comprise instructions to generate a prediction of likelihood of a subject transmitting the pathogen, based on the score of the subject.”

THIRD: New York State – Bill introduced in January 2021 is advancing. It mentions involuntary confinement and…

The bill also says the government can “require an individual who has been exposed to or infected by a contagious disease to complete an appropriate, prescribed course of treatment, preventive medication or vaccination.” That seems like this bill gives the state the right to detain anyone they want and forcibly vaccinate them.

    • Do NOT turn your phones off or remove the sim card, Faradage Cage or any other measure. That is a red flag to monitor you through other means when you go ‘off grid’.

Just leave your fully charged and functional phone at home, showing to the powers that be that you are obedient and at home.

Yes, it is inconvenient, but better than the alternative!

      • Yes, if you use your phone to take photos or videos at an event, then take the SIM out and use the device normally. While the metadata will show you were offline, they will not have the geofenced data showing you were there.

Ask anyone who was in DC on January 6th. Better they don’t know where you are, than they do. At least make them work for privacy crushing data.

Some vaccination centres in Quebec are using virtual reality games to distract kids from feeling pain or anxiety while getting a COVID-19 vaccine.

  10. “Robert Kennedy Jr. on The War Room: US Intelligence Agencies and Military Were Involved With The Wuhan Lab Research (VIDEO)”
    by Jim Hoft – December 19, 2021

Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.: They never talk about public health. They never talk about how to repurpose medication, how to quarantine the sick…. They also gave Fauci a 68% raise attached to his bioweapons research. That’s one of the reasons why he had to continue to do this gain of function research even when Obama told him to stop in 2014.
