Reader’s Links for November 20, 2021

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

I got a laugh out of this one from Victoria, Australia, seen on cctv. There is a lot of evasion in the article so there is uncertainty here, but from what it says in summary:

A man (looks like it anyway), dressed as girl, is spray painting on wall (presumably graffiti) at 11pm, in Melbourne. Another man approaches and there is some kind of argument. The spray painter throws the spray can at the other man and runs away. The other man throws it back, hitting him in the back of the head, but he escapes into a nearby bar.

The spray painter turns out to be none other than the son of an Animal Justice Party MP. All media and politicians jump on the sympathy bandwagon, including the Prime Minister.

Come all you friends and neighbors a story I will tell
Concerning Kyle Rittenhouse and the criminals that he killed,
While in Kenosha, Wisconsin, in sorrow and in strife
A gang of thugs flew upon him they tried to take his life

The raper, Joseph Rosenbaum, was first to strike a blow
But Kyle turned and faced the foe, with his rifle laid him low,
Then little Tony Huber came skating to the fray
But Kyle drew a bead on him and he took his life away

The last to try young Rittenhouse was pistol packing Gaige
But Kyle blew his arm in two and Gaige did run away,
Kyle Rittenhouse is innocent, it’s only common sense
For he did not do nothing wrong, he fought in self defense.

The good psychologist should be pressing the psychological warfare alarm as hard and as loud as possible, if he chooses to remain a public figure.

Is the current Israeli situation of the Jewish people, again, playing canary? Have they been played using their own pride, moxy, history, and sense of social compartment–qualities I use in their most favourable sense?

As death-by-vaxx increases this winter, will the unvaxxed face violence? After all, with heads of state like Dear Leader blaming them, is he not providing a perverse justification for such behavior?

The fact is, fear takes up much energy and cannot be sustained forever. There won’t be much left for the climate-change phase of this operation. However there will be limitless energy for the anger and retribution directed at the bastards who have brought us down.

No more goading games from me, Richard,

    • I’ve been bothering Eeyore.

Narrowed it to a couple VA hospitals. Too bad the doctors I knew who worked VA have retired. They probably wouldn’t know how to fish the Cloud, anyway.

I’m going to be really, REALLY mad when he comes back.

  4. Very revealing info on the Rittenhouse case “victims” (and a “witness”) that I haven’t seen anywhere else yet:
Rosenbaum was charged by a grand jury with 11 counts of child molestation and inappropriate sexual activity with children, including anal rape. The victims were five boys ranging in age from nine to 11 years old. He was convicted of two amended counts as part of a plea deal.
Rosenbaum was released from a hospital, where he went for a suicide attempt, the day of the shootings. He had bipolar disorder.

Grosskreutz’s arrest history from the state Department of Justice is lengthy. There are multiple dismissed cases, including an expungement, a felony that was expunged.
He was convicted of a criminal misdemeanor in 2016 for going armed with a firearm while intoxicated.
Online records show he’s affiliated with The People’s Revolution, the Milwaukee-area protest group that has been protesting at Mayfair Mall and elsewhere. The man accused of attacking and shooting at Wauwatosa Police Officer Joseph Mensah was also affiliated with that group. Grosskreutz was charged with second-offense drunk driving after the shootings, but the case was dismissed on a prosecution motion right before the Rittenhouse trial.
He was also accused of prowling by West Allis police. The police report accuses him of “lurking” in an area where police keep their private vehicles, videotaping them.

Huber had a disorderly conduct conviction from 2018 as a domestic abuse repeater, which is a misdemeanor.
He also had a case from 2012 with these charges:
1 941.30(2) 2nd-Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety Felony G Charge Dismissed but Read In
Modifier: 939.63(1)(c) Use of a Dangerous Weapon
    Modifier: 968.075(1)(a) Domestic Abuse
2 940.235(1) Strangulation and Suffocation Felony H Guilty Due to Guilty Plea
    Modifier: 968.075(1)(a) Domestic Abuse
The media have largely sanitized the criminal histories of these three men.
The bottom line: Rosenbaum was a registered sex offender who was out on bond for a domestic abuse battery accusation and was caught on video acting aggressively earlier that night. Huber was a felon convicted in a strangulation case who was recently accused of domestic abuse. Grosskreutz was convicted of a crime for use of a firearm while intoxicated and was armed with a handgun when shot.
Rosenbaum was also caught on video using a racial slur earlier that night. “Shoot me (n word),” he says in the video. Multiple eyewitnesses told Wisconsin Right Now at the scene that they believe Rittenhouse was arguing with men who were starting an arson fire before the shootings because he was upset about the fire.

“Turns out the man Kyle Rittenhouse shot and killed last night in #Kenosha was Joseph D Rosenbaum, a convicted sex offender of sexual conduct with a minor
Here is video I shot of him begging to be “shot” in front of a gas station minutes before his death”

“This is what triggered this skirmish
A Good Samaritan put out a trash can fire that rioters were about to push into police squad cars
Rioter were then triggered by it and went after the gas station in retaliation”

  5. Maurice Freeland’s Wife Believes He’s ‘Jump Kick Man,’ Makes ‘White Boy’ Comment Claim
Why didn’t prosecutors and police more thoroughly investigate “Jump Kick Man”? They have subpoena powers to prove or disprove the claims, including dramatic allegations about racial comments.
Melody Price Freeland, the soon-to-be ex-wife of Maurice Freeland – the Kenosha felon who is suspected of being “Jump Kick Man” in the Kyle Rittenhouse trial – claimed to Wisconsin Right Now in an exclusive interview that Maurice allegedly told her right after the shooting occurred, “You’re not going to believe what just happened; I almost got shot by a dude.”
“He was all proud of it. He was all excited and happy,” said Melody, the mother of Maurice’s 7-year-old child, in exclusive interviews with Wisconsin Right Now on Nov. 17-18. She said she was speaking out because she believes what he did was “wrong” and all facts should be known about the case.

  6. Joshua Ziminski: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know
Joshua Ziminski is the man who has come up the most in the Kyle Rittenhouse trial who has never been called to the witness stand.
Neither the prosecution nor the defense has called Ziminski, despite his proximity to the first shooting, of Joseph Rosenbaum. He features prominently in the prosecution’s argument, which the defense team denies, that Rittenhouse provoked Rosenbaum to chase him.
Ziminski has not spoken out, and he’s facing serious charges in the Wisconsin court system due to his own involvement in the events of that night in August 2020.
Ziminksi fired his handgun into the air when he was about 100 feet away from Rittenhouse and Rosenbaum, according to the Racine Journal Times. The newspaper reported that Ziminski admitted firing this shot, calling it a “warning shot.” He claimed the gun was stolen.
Three seconds later, Rittenhouse shot Rosenbaum. During testimony in court, Rittenhouse claimed that Ziminski threatened him that night before Rosenbaum chased him. He claimed that Ziminski said, “get him” and “kill him.” Rittenhouse is heard on video saying, “friendly, friendly,” around the time of the encounter with Rosenbaum and Ziminski right before the chase, according to court testimony and the video.
Authorities initially charged Ziminski with disorderly conduct but then dismissed that and refiled it to include a more serious arson charge.
“Joshua Ziminski plays a central role in this scenario on August 25,” defense attorney Mark Richards said in court. “One, creating chaos and havoc with Mr. Rosenbaum, and two, more importantly, when we finally get to Car Source … Mr. Ziminski … fires the first shot that evening, behind Kyle Rittenhouse as he’s being chased by Mr. Rosenbaum.”
In January 2021, Ziminski was charged with felony arson, disorderly conduct with a dangerous weapon and obstructing an officer. Thomas Binger, the Rittenhouse prosecutor, is handling the case. His address was given as Racine, Wisconsin. The arson relates to a dumpster fire that Rosenbaum was also around that night, the Journal Times reported. In opening statements, Rittenhouse’s lawyer said Ziminski and Rosenbaum lit the arson fire together, but it’s not clear how well they knew each other. Kelly Ziminski was accused of throwing lighter fluid on it, according to the Journal Times.
Joshua Ziminski has an open case out of Racine from June 2020 for misdemeanor battery and disorderly conduct, domestic abuse related, according to court records. A trial is scheduled for December 2021.
A 2020 child support action filed by the state against both parents was dismissed when it was determined that “parties are back together and in the same household.” Another child support action was filed in 2019. There was a paternity action against him in 2016, court records also show.
In 2016, he was found guilty of hit and run in Kenosha, a misdemeanor, according to court records.
He was also subject to a divorce action filed by his previous wife in 2014, court records show. Child custody issues have kept that case active as recently as October 2021.
In 2005, he was found guilty of marijuana possession and operating while revoked as a habitual offender, court records show. He has a slew of traffic cases.
In 2002, he was charged with robbery with use of force, a felony, but the case was reduced to misdemeanor disorderly conduct, according to court records. He was living in Racine, Wisconsin, at the time.
The prosecution is trying to prove that Rittenhouse pointed a gun at Ziminski to show provocation from photo and video evidence that the defense says is too blurry to be determinative.
However, the state never called either Ziminski to the witness stand to testify to that, a decision that remains unexplained. Defense attorney Mark Richards questioned why Joshua Ziminski wasn’t called, alleging in court that the prosecution considers Ziminski to be a liar.
“All they had to do was call Mr. and Mrs. Ziminski,” said defense attorney Mark Richards of the prosecutors. “They didn’t put them on, because (the two detectives) both know he’s a liar. They don’t have the provocation.”

  10. Saudi Experts Discuss Saudi-Lebanese Crisis: KSA’s Ties with Lebanon Have Brought Nothing But Drugs

This clip is a compilation of interviews with Saudi experts about the current diplomatic tensions between Saudi Arabia and Lebanon, which began when Lebanese Information Minister George Kurdahi expressed support for the Houthi rebels in Yemen….

On November 4, Saudi international relations expert Dr. Ahmad Al-Ansari said that the only things that Saudi Arabia has gained from its ties with Lebanon are disasters, drugs, and national security issues. He also said that the root of the problem is Hassan “Captagon” Nasrallah, that Lebanon is sick and dying, and that Lebanon does not contribute anything to the world.

On November 5, Saudi international relations expert Sami Al-Morshid said that through Hizbullah, Iran uses Lebanon as infrastructure for exporting terrorism to Syria, Iraq, and Yemen. He also said it exploits Lebanon in order to distribute drugs like Captagon throughout the Arab world in order to make up for its financial losses.

On November 7, Abdallah Al-Assaf, a Saudi communications lecturer at Al-Imam University, said that the Captagon pills smuggled into Saudi Arabia from Lebanon are enough to destroy the entire Arab world…

  11. Poland accuses Belarus of changing tactics in migrant border crisis

Belarus has changed tactics and is directing smaller groups of migrants to several points along the European Union’s eastern frontier, Poland said on Saturday.

Polish border guards reported new attempted crossings by several groups of people, but apart from one group of about 200, they were small gangs made up of dozens of migrants.

Defence Minister Mariusz Blaszczak said he expected the border showdown with Belarus to be long and drawn out while Belarus said the situation remained “tense”.

  12. UAE mouthpiece:
What makes life meaningful in the rich world?

Restless workers are one great product of the pandemic, as priorities shift for many who now reassess how they live their lives. Surveys are showing a new focus on well-being, family and nature across many countries.

With Europe having moved into a new phase of lockdown and Covid-19 restrictions last week, there are straws of comfort for those facing another period of confinement. This restless urge is also likely to be a driver for the mobilisation on climate change that was the most promising outcome of the Cop26 meeting in Glasgow.

  13. Hannah Arendt on Anti-Racism as a Totalitarian Ideology

…Arendt takes Marx’s argument in “On the Jewish Question” (1844) and turns it on its head. In that swift polemic, Marx argued that the continued existence of Jews in modern liberal states constituted the most damning evidence of their failure to overcome social inequalities.

Liberalism distinguishes between state and civil society, public and private, then proclaims each citizen free and equal in the former while allowing every distinction and difference -paradigmatically, religious difference – to stand in the latter.

The only solution, Marx believed, was to extend what had been achieved by revolution in the political realm to the social realm as well: not liberal emancipation, but human emancipation -that is, socialism. Conclusion: “The social emancipation of the Jew is the emancipation of society from Judaism.”

Arendt, ever one to respond as a Jew when attacked as a Jew, inverted Marx’s argument by showing how and why the independence of civil society offers indispensable protections for a minority that is genuinely and irrevocably alienated from modern life. But she feared that superficial anti-racist discourse and unreflective civil rights talk were threatening to overturn the very political tradition that had protected American Jews in the past.

She did not deny the need for immediate measures to ensure Black Americans their equal rights, yet she pled for moderation, self-limitation, and awareness of the fragility of the political settlement that could be upset in the process….

The “perversion of equality from a political into a social concept,” Arendt claimed, actually intensified and aggravated those differences that obstinately defied leveling and became “all the more conspicuous” as a result.

When political antisemitism later returned with a vengeance, the European masses saw Jews as outright enemies to be exterminated rather than occasionally irksome Others. Yet most Jews, to Arendt’s immense regret, continued to live in a “fool’s paradise,” under the impression that their civil rights would protect them.

“It has been one of the most unfortunate facts in the history of the Jewish people,” Arendt reflected, “that only its enemies, and almost never its friends, understood that the Jewish question was a political one.”

  14. the SUN – THE POPE, THE PAEDO & THE ‘PIMP’ Beaming Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell blessed by the Pope – showing their all-powerful connections

The snap sees the paedo billionaire and his alleged “madam” enjoy a private audience with the head of the Catholic Church at the Vatican.

They are understood to have flown to Rome by private jet for the blessing by John Paul II almost two decades ago.

A source told The Sun On Sunday: “Pictures like this show just how powerful Epstein’s connections were and his ability to open almost any door.

“He managed to manipulate his way into royal palaces, the White House and the Vatican, all with Maxwell by his side.”

Our picture shows Epstein, wearing a dark suit and red-patterned tie, kneeling at the Pope’s feet with his ex-lover Maxwell, who is in a striped suit jacket and open-collar blue shirt.

Hands clenched together, they are both smiling and gazing into the eyes of John Paul II, who led the Catholic Church from 1978 until his death in 2005.

The seated Pontiff has his arms raised in the photo, believed to have been taken in 2003.

Flight logs, which chart journeys made by sex beast Epstein, reveal he used his “Lolita Express” jet to fly from Rome to Madrid on May 20 that year.

On it were Maxwell, model scout Jean-Luc Brunel, pilot Pete Rathgeb and two passengers logged as “AM” and “JK”.

Frenchman Brunel, 75, was last year charged with rape and sexual assault of minors.

There is no suggestion Rathgeb knew of or was party to illegal activity.

There is no record of Epstein arriving in Rome, though logs put him in New York on May 12 and again by May 21.

Our papal snap is the latest to show Epstein and Maxwell rubbing shoulders with powerful world figures.

Photos in New York’s Central Park showed Epstein with Prince Andrew — while Maxwell appears with Andrew alongside Virginia Roberts Giuffre.

The US mum of three, now 38, is suing the royal, claiming he sexually assaulted her three times when she was under 18 — which he has repeatedly denied.

In April, The Sun revealed photos of Epstein and Maxwell grinning in the White House with then-US President Bill Clinton in 1993.

Epstein killed himself in jail in 2019 aged 66 as he awaited trial on sex trafficking charges.

Maxwell, 59, is facing trial later this month in New York, accused of recruiting young girls for the former financier and taking part in abuse.

The Sunday Times says prosecutors plan to use her “black book” against her, claiming it is “compelling evidence of her guilt”.

And Epstein’s “scheduler” Adriana Ross is expected to testify against Maxwell, court documents reveal.

The Polish ex-model, 38, is one of four female “co-conspirators” granted immunity from prosecution as part of Epstein’s plea deal in 2008.

  15. Turkish drama’s nuanced portrayal of good-looking Jews

Netflix has a new Turkish drama series , The Club – starring Jewish characters and giving viewers a flavour of their LADINO CULTURE. [Yay!] They are good-looking and sympathetically portrayed, although tensions between Jews and Muslims are also present….

It’s a new, incredible drama called “The Club,” and it hails from a perhaps unexpected place — Turkey, a land not usually known for its portrayals of Jews….
It is weird. Something about Diaspora Sephardim that tickles Moslem supremacists. I was a celebrity in Egypt. And here the Turks are showing off tardish tolerance.

Living proof -!!- that the Golden Age of convivencia de Andaluz wasn’t a myth. And Ladino-parlantes are going extinct anyway, so why not?

  16. With drone attack on US troops, Iran adopts a time tested Palestinian technique against Israel

Israel attacks Iranian targets in Syria, and Iran retaliates against – the United States.

Perhaps it is because Iran considers the US and Israel to be essentially the same. But they are far more sophisticated than that.

This is an attempt to drive a wedge between Israel and the US.

Iran sees the public debate in the US over support for Israel. While the media exaggerates it a great deal, that isn’t important; the perception is. If Iran starts to harass US troops and American targets, while making it clear that this is about Israel, there will be some Americans who say that supporting Israel isn’t worth the risk to American lives.

Of course, Iran cannot do this directly, so it has to do it without taking credit but in such a way that it is unmistakable.

This was the wildly successful Palestinian strategy in the 1970s. They directed their terror attacks primarily against Western targets, particularly airplane hijackings and attacks in airports….
