Reader’s Links for October 8, 2021

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

  1. The Caroline Glick show: Ep21 – Kamala Harris Flunks her “Sister Souljah Moment”

After a two-week hiatus for the High Holy Days Caroline and Gadi devoted their latest show to a discussion of the Democrat Party’s extreme tolerance for fire breathing anti-Semites and what it means for the party, for the American Jewish community and for the future of Israel-US ties.

They also discussed what the progressives and the Palestinians mean when they talk about the “two-state solution,” and what is involved when Israel, the US or any other free society legitimizes the Muslim Brotherhood.

  3. “It was around the summer of ’22, as I recall. By then they’d pretty much squeezed all the life they could out of the pandemic. That winter was brutal. We locked them down again and they were going nuts by springtime. Sufficient numbers of doctors and nurses had quit that msm was having a hard time keeping the lid on. There was plenty of ADE kicking in. People who hadn’t wanted boosters were begging for it because they were scared. Vitamin D was as expensive as cocaine, if you could find it.”

The old man took a drag on his cigarette. He wasn’t used to people asking him questions, and at first it was very hard to talk. He had not spoken about these things in some years, and didn’t even really want to much think about them. Now here he was, and he had no choice. That’s just the way it was, he thought. Things went in circles.

“What do you mean by ‘squeezed’?” Malone asked. “Crimes were committed. That’s why you’re here. How did you squeeze people?”

“Why turn it on me when I say the pandemic was over? I didn’t say I squeezed anyone, did I?”

“You were a cop. Just like I am. And not just that but you were undercover. You were in the Green Cross. Do you think we brought you here without going over your arrest history, first? You were one of the most productive members in your squad, Mr. Kulavik. We have it all. The only question is how hard you make it for yourself.”

Kulavik took another haul on his cigarette. For a moment it felt like there was not enough air in the room. A final ribbon of grey-blue smoke hung around his neck before vanishing. He knew this would come.

“If it hadn’t been for the placebos,” he continued, “a lot more would have passed away. They were running at eighty percent, so you can imagine what a roulette it was.”

“You mean eighty percent of the doses were placebos?” asked Malone noting it in his book.

    “Yes. As I recall.”

    “Why? Why so much?”

“To control reactions. Physically and mentally. It was good marketing. It was smart.”

    “Did it work?”

“Well, that’s your first stupid question,” spat Kulavik.

Kulavik was right and Malone knew it. He would have to sharpen up. “Where did you typically find the people you were looking for?”

“Everywhere. Anywhere. I once found a family of four hiding under the floorboards of a cottage in the bush. In winter. Like rats.”

“It sounds like something out of an old movie. I’ve always wondered why you pushed so hard after them. Why? How were they such a threat?”

“It does sound like a movie, but it wasn’t. Pureblood was an unaffordable comparable. It had to be eliminated at all cost. We started looking for them in the restaurants and theatres. –You know, public spaces. We fined the business owners to teach them a lesson. We fanned out from there.”

“What do you mean by ‘fanned out’?”

Kulavik started another cigarette. He wasn’t nervous anymore. In fact he was beginning to enjoy the conversation. It felt good to talk about it all, finally. He knew that turnabout was fair play. He accepted it.

“Well, we were surprised by how easy it all was.”

    “–You? Who?” Malone interrupted.

“The guys in my squad. Well, everyone on the force, actually. We watched how it was going in Australia and we learned. Simple as that. You gave people their summers, at first, then taught them in the winter. You went with the seasons. It was natural. All good rollouts were, yes, centrally controlled, but had to feel organic at the same time. The people had to do the heavy lifting for you. Every aspect had to have multiple functions. Yes, fear was for control, but it also turned people into rats. We never could have accomplished what we did on our own. The people helped. We cleaned up the cities then fanned out to the rural areas.”

“Taught them? What do you mean you taught them?”

Kulavik began to chuckle. The chuckle turned into a cough. “I hope you’re just playing dumb, pal, because you’re sounding pretty stupid.

It was all psychological training. Conditioning. That’s what the masks were all about at the start. Then the msm repetition on TV and radio at the top of every hour giving the case counts. Get inside their heads. Fuck ’em up. Scare them. Separate them. It got to the point where we were laughing at what we were getting away with. Wear another mask. Put on three. Do a dance. Twirl like an idiot. You knew you had them when you saw them driving in their car alone, half their face covered. Or walking in the park. Just convince them it was for the greater good. Then you saw the ones wearing a mask and a shield and you wanted to put a little gold star on their forehead. Then we had Australia. It was beautiful to watch. Truly.”

“That’s a funny choice of words,” said Malone. He felt a step behind. “Beautiful? They were beating people in the streets. The police assaulted women in the parks. They got away with anything.”

“Like I say it was beautiful. Look, I’m not pretending anymore so don’t you, alright?”

Malone was caught off guard. Now he realized that Kulavik was talking. Really talking.

“As I said, it was natural. Or shall I rephrase. Manipulation is an art form. When you’re reading a good novel, for example, you want one chapter to somehow flow into the next, right? There has to be a transition and continuity to it. Well, the same thing here. Australian winter was coming to an end. It was a phase, a very important phase that had objectives that had to be met before moving on to the northern hemisphere winter phase. And that phase had its own objectives that were continuations of the Australian ones. Get it? The training regime was built on itself.”

Kulavik suddenly stopped talking. His eyes focused on something very distant, as if, suddenly, he was transfixed by a vision behind his sight that was more real than the very room in which he sat. More real than Detective Malone. More real than reality. Then, just as suddenly, he snapped back to the moment. Malone was confused by him. Kulavik displayed no sense of guilt.

“What I mean, most specifically, about the beauty of the Australian situation was the five kilometer radius.”

“I remember. Sure,” said Malone. “Another control mechanism.”

“More. Much more than that. It was to see how the North American training season would do. Don’t forget, there was no greater a car culture than North America. We had a big bronco to break.”

“But why? Why all the control?”

    “For the next phase.”

Malone felt off balance. “You seem proud of what you’ve done.”

“Of course I am. Very much so.”

“But so many people died. So many families were torn apart and businesses lost.”

    “And? The problem is?”

“The problem is that you committed crimes against humanity.”

“I worked in the service of humanity.”

“You worked for world government. World fascism.”

    “I worked for the company.”

    “The company, or government?”

    “What’s the difference?”

Malone stood and turned his back on Kulavik. He saw himself in the one-way glass with Kulavik seated at the table behind him. The man was at once brutally remorseless and a cynical ideologue, if such qualities could coexist in the same animal. Malone turned.

“What was so beautiful about the five-kilometer radius.”

“It was the perfect training exercise for the 2022 North American season. It was the big narrative transition from pandemic to climate lockdowns. All those supply-chain disruptions got the price of gas going way up, then the msm moved into the climate space in a big way. By summer ’22 people were exhausted. Now they were being told they couldn’t wander more than five miles–here we went by miles–from home without being arrested. Unless, of course, they had a job to do. And it was easy. Msm made sure they got everyone guilt tripping each other for driving. The best was when we caught a Trueblood outside his zone. Now there was pay day.”

    “Pay day?”

    “Sure. Bonuses. You know.”

“How much did you get for that?”

“Two-thousand for the Trueblood and one for the out-of-zone. Hey, three-thousand bucks was real money back then. That family under the floorboards I mentioned? –Paid for this Rolex, and the last alimony to my ex.” Kulavik held up his left wrist with a little shake, showing off his watch.

“And what came after the summer of ’22?” Malone asked. He was being drawn in to the story.

“Well, the rest as they say, is history. The wheels fell off the dollar and the whole point of it laid bare-assed naked for everyone to see. Even then, amazingly, so many believed the narrative. People are so stupid. But by then it was too late for the last fighters.”

“I don’t get it. What was revealed?”

“The money. The dollar endgame. The new currency regime.”

“I’ve heard enough for now,” said Detective Malone. “You’re under arrest. You have the right to remain silent–.”

“–Oh I forgot to mention one other thing,” interrupted Kulavik.”

    “What’s that?”

    “Go fuck yourself.”

  4. Soros trying to Overthrow the USA?

George Soros is providing money to perhaps overthrow essentially our way of life. He donated $500,000 in Austin Texas to defund the police in order to destabilize society. Why Austin Texas? It is a Republican state and the objective is to destabilize Texas with also all the illegal immigrants to flip it to Democrat. This is outright treason. Money coming from a foreign source into local elections should be prosecuted.

The objective of this entire defund the police movement is to (1) divide the United States on a class and race basis precisely as Hitler did in Germany, and (2) by defunding local police, crime will rise and people will then accept a FEDERAL police force answerable to Pelosi, Schumer, and Biden or the real the people pulling the strings.

We have a very serious political crisis. Not only are elections being stolen, but we have people deliberately trying to destabilize society turning one group against the other so everyone cries for help from Washington. The press immediately calls any mention of stolen election a right-wing conspiracy. NEVER will they report honest investigations for the press is also now on the opposite side of the fence and has joined this conspiracy to turn the United States into the new Marxist-Wonderland.

  5. At least 55 dead, several injured in suicide attack at mosque in Afghanistan’s Kunduz

A suicide bomb attack on worshippers at a Shia mosque in the Afghan city of Kunduz killed at least 55 people on Friday, in the bloodiest assault since US forces left the country.

Scores more victims from the minority community were wounded in the blast, which has not been claimed but appears designed to further destabilise Afghanistan in the wake of the Taliban takeover.

The militant Islamic State (IS) group, bitter rivals of the Taliban, has repeatedly targeted Shias in Afghanistan to stir up sectarian violence.

A medical source at the Kunduz Provincial Hospital said that 35 dead and more than 55 wounded had been taken there, while Doctors Without Borders (MSF) hospital said 20 were dead and scores more wounded.

Matiullah Rohani, director of culture and information in Kunduz for Afghanistan’s new Taliban government, confirmed to AFP that the deadly incident was a suicide attack and that at least 46 people had died and 143 were wounded.

[…]Not much is publicly known about the various business interests or wealth origins of Wardak, an ethnic Pashtun refugee who was born in Afghanistan in 1977.

The Bathroom Harassment of Sen. Sinema was Funded by Leftist Billionaires – Frontpagemag

Old, rich leftist men like harassing women in the bathroom.

Daniel Greenfield, a Shillman Journalism Fellow at the Freedom Center, is an investigative journalist and writer focusing on the radical Left and Islamic terrorism.

When leftist activists followed Sen. Kyrsten Sinema into a bathroom filming themselves harassing the moderate Democrat, they falsely claimed they were her “constituents”.

One of the women is actually a DSA activist who lives over 2,000 miles away in Montgomery County, Maryland, one of the wealthiest counties in America.

The bathroom harassment of Sinema was intended to intimidate her into supporting the huge $3.5 trillion leftist crony spending plan that would also deprive many Americans of their civil rights through everything from car tracking to IRS surveillance for transactions over $600.

U.S. Troops Have Secretly Been In Taiwan For Over A Year Helping Island Prepare For War With China: Report
    Ryan Saavedra
    4-5 minutes

U.S. military forces have secretly been operating in Taiwan for over a year to help train Taiwan’s military and defenses in preparation for a possible war with communist China.

“About two dozen members of U.S. special-operations and support troops are conducting training for small units of Taiwan’s ground forces,” The Wall Street Journal reported. “The U.S. Marines are working with local maritime forces on small-boat training. The American forces have been operating in Taiwan for at least a year.”

China has significantly increased its military posturing toward Taiwan during the Biden-era as numerous critics say that America’s enemies around the world have been emboldened by what they see as weakness from Democrat President Joe Biden.

“The special-operations unit and the Marine contingent are a small but symbolic effort by the U.S. to increase Taipei’s confidence in building its defenses against potential Chinese aggression,” the report added. “Current and former U.S. government officials and military experts believe that deepening ties between U.S. and Taiwan military units is better than simply selling Taiwan military equipment.”

The report said that officials were concerned that Taiwan has spent too much money on expensive military hardware and not enough on defensive systems that would be used to thwart an invasion.
