Reader’s Links for October 1, 2021

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

Research by an independent statistician, who goes by the pseudonym of John Dee, appears to confirm what many have suspected since the beginning of the Covid-19 pseudopandemic; that the government narrative about the disease is a confidence trick.
John Dee looked at more than 160,000 admissions via the Emergency Department of a busy hospital. His analysis shows that, for an unnamed NHS trust, between 1 January 2021 and 13 June 2021, of the 2,102 admissions coded as Covid-19, only 9.7% (204) had any supporting diagnosis of symptomatic disease.
For the remaining 90.3% (1,899) there was no discernible, clinical reason to describe them as Covid-19 patients. However, they were all admitted for the following reason:
Disease caused by 2019 novel coronavirus.
    John Dee audit analysis concluded:
The ED electronic patient record system is awash with asymptomatic/false positive admissions that primarily require emergency care for non-COVID diseases and conditions whilst their data record is flagged as COVID.
These findings cast significant doubt upon the previous assumption that NHS admission and mortality data would “abide by expectation in terms of outcome and clinical diagnosis.” It seems to have fallen short of this expectation by some distance. Consequently, this casts considerable doubt on other “official” statistics we have been given.
John Dee’s audit analysis has profound implications. It requires validation and others must have access to the anonymised NHS ICD10 coded admissions data, complete with corresponding diagnosis, in order to carry out broader study. If, for any reason, the NHS or other official sources withhold this information, it only adds credibility to Dee’s findings.
John Dee’s Facebook profile states that he is a consultant analyst and former head of clinical audit at an NHS hospital. He specialised in assessment of clinical outcomes and served on a regional clinical reference committee. He adds that he uses “data from official sources to reveal what the authorities should be telling us about the COVID-19 pandemic but are not.”
Dee’s research strongly suggests that the NHS numbers are so unreliable they have virtually ceased to be relevant. We cannot conclude, as the ONS have, that they show accurate diagnosis of Covid-19. Test and Trace is equally specious, as are nearly all claimed Covid-19 mortality figures. Again, these are heavily reliant upon NHS numbers.
There is currently no justification for any mass Covid-19 vaccination program. Dee’s figures indicate that Covid-19 presents no more of a health risk than seasonal flu. Vaccines offered to the most vulnerable appears to be the full extent of precautionary necessity.
However, it is when we look at the mortality figures that perhaps the most worrying questions arise. While 2020 only ranked 9th for mortality, out of the first two decades of the 21st century, there were notable unseasonable spikes and unusual patterns of mortality. These have continued throughout 2021, again they have been attributed to Covid-19 largely according to NHS numbers.
Dee’s audit analysis suggests that only 10% or less of these NHS ICD10 coded deaths were genuinely attributable to Covid-19. So what caused these unseasonable spikes in excess mortality if not Covid-19?
Unless the NHS and the government account for Dee’s findings, not only is there no reason to believe a pandemic ever occurred, it is clear that unusual patterns of excess mortality were caused by something else. There are a number of possible antecedents and each warrant further investigation.
Throughout all proposed “waves” of the “pandemic”, and during all intervening periods, a persistent mortality anomaly has remained. ONS statistics have consistently shown elevated rates of excess mortality in the home. In the apparent absence of any pandemic disease, we must ask what accounts for this excess mortality.
Dee’s audit analysis is not categorical “proof” that everything we have been told about the supposed Covid-19 pandemic is a lie. But it strongly suggests the likelihood.
It is untenable for the government to maintain their Covid-19 narrative without acknowledging and explaining his findings. Until they do, we can legitimately state that the evidence shows that there is no pandemic. Iain Davis

    • “The notion of a syndemic was first conceived by Merrill Singer, an American medical anthropologist, in the 1990s. Writing in The Lancet in 2017, together with Emily Mendenhall and colleagues, Singer argued that a syndemic approach reveals biological and social interactions that are important for prognosis, treatment, and health policy”

“The most important consequence of seeing COVID-19 as a syndemic is to underline its social origins. The vulnerability of older citizens; Black, Asian, and minority ethnic communities; and key workers who are commonly poorly paid with fewer welfare protections points to a truth so far barely acknowledged—namely, that no matter how effective a treatment or protective a vaccine, the pursuit of a purely biomedical solution to COVID-19 will fail.”

Which means not only should we take our Covidvaxx but also take our Politivaxx.

  2. The women’s liberation movement has given women the right to be leaders in extremis, hasn’t it? So many women have grabbed powerful positions. What happened to the nurturing instinct? Maybe the collectivization instinct is more powerful, I don’t know–the many over the One is, perhaps, an inversion of this instinct.

A Dystopia act of rebellion has become flying the national flag at full mast. Imagine that.

The atomization of Western civ is now, nearly, a perpetual motion machine requiring very few disinfo inputs. Maybe you’re right, Yucki. Can the greater wisdom of the enemy be a deft stoke here and there to ensure the process continues into a fine dust?

It is with a heavy heart that we write to inform readers that in several days, Liberty Unyielding, as they know it, will cease publication.

Our chief reason for pulling up stakes after eight years is Big Tech. The censorship, by Facebook in particular, has taken a heavy toll on the management, staff, and contributors. It has also adversely affected our revenues.

We have dropped hints of our plight from time to time in posts such as this one from last July on the depths of depravity to which some of our electronic jailers have descended.

The official last day of the site in its current incarnation will be Sunday Oct. 3. The comments section will remain up for several days after, then we will be shutting that down as well.

Trending: The most disturbing headline of the day doesn’t relate to any of Biden’s crises

We take this opportunity to express deep appreciation for our readers and commenters, without whose interest and contributions we could not have achieved the success and longevity we’ve enjoyed. Of all the things we will miss, the interaction with “LU Nation” – often acerbic, sometimes a belly laugh or a “thank you” at just the right moment, and always informative – is probably the one we will miss the most.

If there is one bright light, it is that we won’t be shutting down the site completely. It will pass into the very capable hands of Hans Bader, our longtime friend and loyal contributor.

Other than Hans, the remainder of the staff and contributors will be moving on to new adventures.

J.E. Dyer will continue to post feature articles and notes (including the Football Follies) at her old blog, The Optimistic Conservative, when Liberty Unyielding ceases publication in its current form. She invites interested readers to join her there. In the coming months, she will consolidate her Liberty Unyielding archive with the one at TOC.

Howard Portnoy will take a much-needed rest before deciding what comes next for him.

The archive at Liberty Unyielding will remain live for the foreseeable future after publication ceases.

It may seem today that Big Tech has succeeded in the role of “government,” as reflected in our founding quote from Thomas Jefferson: “The natural progress of things is for liberty to yield and government [or Big Tech] to gain ground.”

Even now, however, we don’t believe that. The nation we love is in turmoil because it is fighting back. America has always beaten the odds, and it will again.

So our farewell is to the Liberty Unyielding site, not to the fight. May God bless our colleagues and our treasured readers, and may He bless America with freedom and light.

  5. This woman with encyclopedic powers has a wealth of knowledge. If I recall, however, it was Dr. Peter McCullough who said he did not believe it was possible that the Vaxx’d shedding of spike proteins would be so much that it could hurt those in their midst who were not vaxxed. This woman claims otherwise while citing sources to back up those claims. It would be interesting to have an expert verification of her dramatic statements which, if true, depict an evil of such enormity that it boggles the mind. She paints a picture wherein sickness begets sickness, drugs beget drugs, and all was known by the authorities beforehand.

  7. Wind turbine collapsed in Germany and nobody knows why

A freshly installed and almost 240-meter high wind turbine collapsed in a forest near Haltern in Germany. The damage amounts to several million euros.

The site of the debris field is cordoned off within a radius of several hundred meters.

The police do not assume a crime was involved in the collapse. Today experts, commissioned by the manufacturer Nordex, will start looking for the cause of the collapse.

The cracking noises from the collapse of the wind turbine could be heard for miles on Wednesday evening. Huge pieces of debris are scattered everywhere on the base of the system, which was only a few months old.

The wind turbine had a height of 164 meters, the rotor blades reached a height of up to 239 meters. The wind turbine broke at 20 meters above the ground. The tower collapsed and parts of the wings crashed into the surrounding forest.

But nobody was injured. The fire brigade searched the forest with a thermal imaging camera, and a police helicopter. They wanted to rule out the possibility of strollers being hit by debris.

    Six million euros in damage
Haltern Mayor Andreas Stegemann was horrified during a visit to the site of the accident that such an accident is even possible. The wind turbine from the manufacturer Nordex was operated by Stadtwerke Haltern and a subsidiary of Ruhrkohle AG. They put the damage at around six million euros.

According to Nordex, there are almost two dozen identical turbines in Germany or are still under construction. As a preventive measure, all 23 systems nationwide with the same configuration have been temporarily put out of operation at short notice, according to Nordex.

It’s not the first wind turbine that failed or collapsed

  8. MONTREAL – Anti-vaccination protester jailed after refusing to wear mask in Montreal court

Municipal court judge ordered former math teacher François Amalega Bitondo detained until his case is heard.

A former math teacher who recently protested against COVID-19 vaccinations outside Montreal schools has been ordered to remain detained to ensure he will show up for a trial at the municipal courthouse.

François Amalega Bitondo, 43, a former teacher at Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf, was arrested on Tuesday after he refused to wear a mask at the Montreal municipal courthouse for a trial. He is charged with obstructing police in their work during an incident at a grocery store in March.

When Amalega Bitondo refused to wear a mask on Tuesday, he was not allowed to enter the courtroom where his trial was supposed to be held. The trial judge issued a warrant for his arrest and Amalega Bitondo then waited outside the courthouse for the Montreal police to arrest him.

The following day, another municipal court judge, Annie-Claude Chassé, heard arguments on whether the accused should be released while his case is pending. And on Thursday, she ruled he should remain detained because of his “categorical” refusal to wear a mask as is required at all courthouses in Quebec. She also noted that Amalega Bitondo could not supply a medical reason to support his refusal to comply with the public safety measure. He told the judge he is afraid of masks and feels having to wear one is “torture.”

Chassé said she would try to have his trial heard on Friday.

Amalega Bitondo has reportedly been fined a total of more than $40,000 since the COVID-19 pandemic began.

This week, he announced that he has been suspended from Facebook until Oct. 26 because of information he posted about the pandemic.

Amalega Bitondo was also present at several anti-vaccination protests held outside Montreal schools this September.

He is acting as his own lawyer and, while arguing for his release on Wednesday, he noted he is currently charged in four different cases at the Joliette courthouse, where he is accused of causing a disturbance and failing to respect at least two court orders. He told Chassé he managed to convince a Quebec Court judge at the Joliette courthouse that he can proceed in his cases without having to wear a mask as long as he respected social distancing measures.

His criminal cases at the Joliette courthouse return to court in March.
