This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

    Guidance, is simply a recommendation.

    To become Law, an Act of UK Parliament has to be created.

    From this, it may be deduced that employers will use this legislation to claim that their employees had simply decided to voluntarily leave their employment because they willfully did not get double-vaccinated.

  9. Only two weeks from retirement, Murphy could not help but feel some kind of serendipitous, poetic kick to it all. After all these years spent listening to static and noise, seeking patterns in radio chaos, was he about to hang up his headphones. But now this. A real signal. My god, he thought. This can’t be happening.

    But it was. Try as he did to discount and explain away what seemed to be just another intelligent-sounding dud, as he had countless times before, this time was different. In fact, Murphy, or Dr. Murphy as his daughter so cutely addressed him, had come to feel a discomforting cynicism that he had never felt before. Maybe this cynicism was one of the voices telling him to retire. Not long ago, during a visit to his long-time accountant Jim Stamos, did the meeting end on a sour note. They were going over his tax return when Murphy realized the accountant was working more for the government than for him, and he said so. “…With the taxes I’m paying here, Jim, you strike me as nothing more than a glorified tax collector…”

    In a similarly negative vein so it was that he had come to feel himself a scientist whose job it was to forever decline every deep-space signal that came along. The spirit of hope and discovery that had propelled him into the field of radio astronomy had faded like the sounds he had chased every night for almost forty years. Where had the time gone? If there was a god–and he had been provided an anomalous amount of time to ponder the thought–his modus operandi left science fiction reeling in the dust.

    Fate finds its friends. It picks them for a reason. Comes the time, comes the man.

    Murphy’s ego was at once appropriate for the task at hand, but sufficiently modest to remain objective to the enormity of it. Never did he imagine that such a discovery would result in the greatest man hunt in human history. Murphy also had imagination.

    Night after night the signal was growing in strength, and it would not be long before others found it. He was quite sure, however, he was still alone because the scientific community was relatively small, and he would surely hear about it if others were on to it.

    The strangest thing of all was the signal’s meaning, which he did not yet understand. The code, however, was cracked.

    But why, on Earth, now, he wondered? He was not a fan of coincidences. Why was intelligent life in the universe, beyond humanity, revealing itself against the backdrop of the Joke?

    The Joke appeared originally somewhere as spray-painted graffiti on the wall of an inner city Philadelphia underpass, and was now killing millions. It first started with people reading it on that one concrete wall as they commuted to work on the train. They passed it on to family, friends and colleagues before, literally, dying laughing. Scientists predicted the joke could prove fatally funny for up to eighty percent of the world’s population. It was highly contagious so spread freely, infecting humanity at the speed of light. The deadliness of it was in the delay. There has to be a delay in a joke before you get it. That’s the kicker. Now, no one knew if, after hearing it, they had five minutes, five months, five years or forever to live. The punchline was effective across certain demographics and not others. The elderly were particularly vulnerable, as were people with two or more comorbidities. Researchers worldwide studied feverishly to understand its lethal path, often succumbing to it themselves. Governments imposed lockdowns and blackouts in a fruitless attempt to limit its spread. In fact, government health policies proved to be just as deadly as the Joke, itself. Murphy saw such efforts as futile. The Joke would just have to run its course. Everyone would stop laughing, eventually. Horrifically, even some people who heard it and survived died after hearing it a second time.

    But always the question repeated in his head, why him and why now?

    By using standard practices and a certain proprietary innovation, the signal revealed itself to be that of a single, repeating name. The name was male. It was Jewish or Christian. He knew no more.

    The drama of this epic, historic mystery was not lost on Dr. Murphy. Somewhere in the mass of seven and a half billion human beings walked a single man whose name aliens were singling out for purposes unknown. And time was ticking. Against the Joke’s unprecedented depopulating effect the irony was mind boggling.

    He had to find this man, and the meaning of him, before he was killed either by the Joke, or by nefarious forces who would be threatened by this meaning.

    Perhaps the Joke had already caught him, but Dr. Murphy thought not. This was an unscientific hunch, he knew, but too much about this whole thing made him believe it did not end in a death, but in life.

  10. mRNA Vaccines – – The Silent Weapon by Dr. Igor Sheperd

    My 7-year old medical studies in he Soviet Army under the Strategic Rocket Force sector included large WMD-oriented military field exercises. I learned tactics of global warfare, including weapons of mass destruction – -their effects on populations and enemy forces. The Soviet army had a powerful biological defense system, and to be a successful medical military doctor I was required to know more than traditional medicine – – I had to stay abrupt on he combat of “silent weaponry”, because this type of covert biowarfare was crucial in extermination of enemies (people of western free nations) and globalizing communism.

    Under Soviet rule, biowarfare was set up to be carried out through either tactical or strategic methods. In a tactical event, the military aggressor would use bio-agents during ground battlefield against enemy troops. With strategic warfare,the civilian population would be the main focus for destruction. Bio-agents, as BLM lets, would be dropped onto large populated areas using cruise missiles or through aerosol dispersal off aircraft. This type of silent warfare allowed the enemy to quickly take over a country’s infrastructure and economy, and incapacitate the population without a messy drawn out military invasion.

    Americans should be concerned about silent warfare, because most nations, including the US, no longer follow the very Bioweapon Treaty that was put in place to protect the world and whole populations against manical bio-genocide.

    After WW11, Americans ramped up their bio-research in order to counter the Soviet threat, and weaponized both incapacitating and lethal biological agents. In 1969, President Nixon stalled the biological research program, allowing the Soviet Union to roll forward as the running wheel of WMD in the world. This caused the US to backpedal, and redirect billions to fund bio-defense efforts and projects related to biological weapons. As bio-production escalated worldwide, the threat to humanity once again caused a stir.

    That global threat is what brought about the 1975 Bioweapons Treaty under the Convention. It was established to prohibit the development, production and stockpiling of biological and toxin weapons. One hundred and eighty three nations signed on, including Russia and China.

    Compromise started prior to the finalization of the treaty when Russia refused to sign unless the verification process was crucial because it would compel nations to identify the number of civilian facilities and allow regular inspections. Russia had no intentions of sanctioning inspections inside their research labs or displaying their enormous bio-stash. The US and UK caved into Russia’s ridiculous ultimatum, and allowed the treaty to remove the verification process.

    The move opened the door to lack of transparency and constant violations of the treaty, putting entire nations under constant threat. This is why it is important to understand that under this treaty the gene-splicing- – DNA manipulation used in the recent – CRISPR technology and Covid-19 mRNA, vaccine makers are in violation of this Biological Weapons Treaty and getting away with it, thus allowing bioweapon development and production to move forward at the pace of a high-speed rail.

    After President Biden announced an order this week mandating vaccination for some 80-100 million federal and private sector workers, Newsweek reported that the order doesn’t apply to members of Congress or their staffs.

    The New York Times reported the same thing, and numerous media outlets have confirmed the story.

    As ABC 10 Sacramento (KXTV) reported, “The president cannot impose a vaccine mandate on Congress via executive order or in an agency or department regulation, according to the Congressional Institute.”

    The president also can’t mandate vaccination for employees of the judicial branch.

    • I should have posted the WION video about the war games in Tibet attached to the video about Xi being in trouble with the other Central Committee members. Xi is in trouble for several reasons not just the way he has seized dictatorial powers and is building a cult of personality. He is pushing hard on several fronts but the way he is removing commanding officers in the Western Region is an indication that the performance of the Chinese military units in that region are well below expectations. The there is the way he is tapping into and selling off China’s strategic oil reserves, normally when the CCP is short of ready cash they sell US debt at a discount. The fact that they are selling oil reserves instead of US debt says that they need the money that our monthly debt service payments for day to day expenses and can’t afford to sell them. The selling of oil reserves at a time when they are pushing India and Taiwan besides moving into Tibet says their econmy is in worse shape then they are telling us, a whole lot worse.

    DNA is the molecule that contains the genetic code of organisms like plants, animals, and bacteria, and is the hereditary material in humans and almost all other organisms. DNA is in each cell in the organism and directs the cells and is in charge of the carrying out messages from the DNA that lies inside the nucleus of the cell. In the nucleus, the proteins are made from the mRNA sequence in a process known as translation. both DNA and mRNA are molecules within a cell that are known as nuclei acids. Micro RNA regulates many mRNAs, and equally, a mRNA is regulated by several miRNAs in the production of bioweapons.

    The molecules within the cells make up specific genetic codes for each individual’s life, and is the “instrument panel” in keeping the human body functioning properly. Our human genome is what makes the human species human, and gives each one of us our own unique and specific genetic code, which is truly an amazing wonder because everything from eye color to why we have thin or thick lips is locked up inside that code. If our code was modified humanness becomes a certainty. This is why bio weapons in the wrong hands can dramatically alter human life as we know it.

    Through lab-created modified pathogens, using rDNA and mRNA, Soviet scientists decided to rival God. By plugging genes and combining segments of DNA from one type of organism with the gene of another organism, they created more deadly contagious, environmentally stable and pathogenic novel strains of various microorganisms.

    These included multi-drug resistant anthrax, genetically modified super plague, chimeric variations of smallpox and German measles. They also found a way to effectively hijack the body’s natural immune process by producing overstimulation of the immune system through the “re-programming” of the human immune system responses to those man made – modified external pathogens. The overstimulation of the body’s immune system was purposed to cause serious immunological reactions and remove the body’s responsibility to release antibodies when the body decided to do so. Once the immune system was continuously in overdrive and self-exhausted (similar example of self-exhaust would be like a cancer patient whose immune system gets depleted from chemotherapy), the body weakened and became susceptible to mild infections. For the Soviets, this breakthrough became important, “silent warfare” for mass destruction.

    Does this “reprogramming” of the immune system sound familiar? It should. The Covid-19 vaccines utilize the same mRNA technology of reprogramming the body’s immune system as Russia used in producing bioweapons for silent warfare against civilians. Unlike traditional vaccines, mRNA vaccines do not carry live pathogens, and work by “tricking” the body into thinking it is under attack with a real virus. The body becomes like a computer, and is instructed to develop the pathogenic proteins itself, “reprogramming” the human body to produce its own antibodies. The proteins become independent and do not gather to form a virus like traditional vaccines. The immune system then detects these viral proteins and starts to produce a defensive response to them. The final result, though, has altered the body’s natural responses, and dangerous pathological immune reactions are induced, including systemic inflammation and stimulation of the auto-reactive antibodies, resulting in a cytokine storm or death. worse, these harmful outcomes might not show up for months or years. This is why the initial side effects or many vaccinated individuals were severe, and developed in days and weeks after he injection. The overstimulated immune system caused by the mRNA Covid-19 vaccines certainly blueprints Russia’s silent weapons of warfare.

    The Covid vaccine companies insist the mRNA does not alter DNA, but I do not buy it. They have their reasons for bypassing the traditional vaccine method and going with the bio weapon technology, and I do not think it has anything to to do with ensuring the health of populations, otherwise they would have taken the time to follow proper testing protocols for the “new” vaccines at the onset, and not been rash in ignoring the abundant reports of injuries and deaths caused so far with the vaccinated. And so should we blindly trust them after knowing mRNA technology was initially developed and used by the Soviets to harm and destroy whole populations? Should we trust them knowing there is no known proper gauge for short and long-term side effects and what fatalities might occur up ahead? do we ignore the fact that Covid vaccine ingredients use aborted fetal cells which could potentially initiate cancer and autoimmune system shifts within the vaccinated? Do we close our eyes to the toxic and non-biodegradable synthetic materials such as polyethylene glycol (PEG) used to make the vaccines, knowing PEG’s cause disruption to cellular functions and provoke severe neuropsy chiatric symptoms in offsprings?

    Should we believe our leaders when they insist these “secretly- patented” mRNA vaccines are safe, even after knowingly receiving reports that the Covid-19 vaccines resulted in injuries and deaths caused by blood coagulation, pathological thrombus formation, Bell’s Palsy, cardiac disorders, heart inflammation, neurological mayhem, paralysis, Giuliano Barre Syndrome and numerous miscarriages?

    The creators of Covid vaccines expect numerous injuries and fatalities ahead. YOU cannot mess with type of bio technology and be “clueless” regarding the results. This is why the pharmaceutical giants made sure they would be free of legal ramifications for harmful effects and deaths.

    The evidence of global warfare is everywhere — from the dictatorial global alliances being formed between nations, to the violations of civil rights, to the imprisonment of citizens inside their own homes, to the destruction of private businesses, to the extreme rules of masking, to the cruel new laws denying unvaccinated Americans the right to work, eat at restaurants, or attend theatres — these are not normal responses to a pandemic, especially one with a 0.1% to 0.5% fatality rate.

    These are the responses of a communist despotism. By mandating these bio-vaccines, they are forcing us to play Russian Roulette, but instead of one bullet in the six-chamber shooter, there are five.

    The communist-patterned pandemic responses forced on free Americans is inconceivable, and I find it worrisome that are own American government and the US Dept of Defense is knee-deep in the partnership with China regarding Covid-19 vaccine research and development. DOD’s bioweapon research and expert sectors, BARDA, DARPA, and DTRA have all been heavily involved with the vaccine conglomerates, as well as China’s military, the People’s Liberation Army. To trust the health of our nation’s citizens to a country who is an active enemy of American ideals, and who cannot adequately secure their own bioweapon laboratories is treasonable.

    messenger RNA technology, because it involves genetic engineering, can be used in any Covid or flu vaccine today for rapid global depopulation through sterility measures or immunological complications, for medical extermination to modify human sexual complications, and create non-genders, for behavioural modifications, or to undergo chromosomal integration or inserted mutagensis, leading to random insertions of genetic codes into the host cellular genomes (inducing tumours). The idea of vaccines as a dispersal method to annihilate or debilitate millions of people unknowingly, with their consent, is a brilliant strategy of warfare. The very means with which should help eliminate a pandemic and save lives is instead used as a “kill” device.

    Because the masses have accepted vaccinations as preventative medicine for decades, most would reject the possibility that a vaccine could be used as a bio weapon against them. Nonetheless, strong evidence of a global “coup” is piling up as more and more citizens become alarmed that this pandemic is less about health and more about the restructuring and destruction of our laws, economy, civil rights and Freedoms: everything that occurs during an enemy takeover, and not during a pandemic and with no enforced treaty to protect civilians against biological weapons of mass destruction, silent warfare against all humanity becomes today’s reality.

    Report: 440,000 Pennsylvania Mail Ballots ‘Went Missing or Undeliverable’

    The Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF) released another stunning research brief on the 2020 election Thursday, this time reporting that more than 440,000 mail ballots in Pennsylvania “went missing or undeliverable” in a state Joe Biden won by a certified margin of just 80,555 votes.

    “The 2020 General Election set a record in Pennsylvania for rejected mail ballots by election officials. Also, the state lost track of more ballots than the difference in votes between Trump and Biden,” PILF said in a statement that accompanied the release of the report.

    A total of 3.1 million ballots were mailed to Pennsylvania voters in 2020. Of these, what happened to 425,606 of these mail ballots is “unknown,” according to data provided by the U.S. Election Assistance Commission and analyzed by PILF. In addition, 15,175 were determined to be “undeliverable,” while 34,171 mail ballots returned by voters were rejected by election officials.

    The full 12-second clip shows a helicopter in Afghanistan hovering over buildings. Then, the video zooms in to show what appears to be a person hanging from the helicopter by a rope.
    “Taliban hanging someone from a helicopter in Kandahar,” Old Holborn, a “comedian” and “stoic libertarian legend,” tweeted Aug. 30.
    The clip, originally tweeted by a counterterrorism expert who said he wasn’t sure what it depicted, racked up more than 2.6 million views in just over a one day. From there, the claim that the Taliban used a U.S.-supplied helicopter to hang someone spread across social media.

    In the longer video, the man waves his hands and moves his legs as he is lowered to the top of a building. A closer look at the footage shows the man appears to be strapped into a harness, not hanging from a noose.
    Alt News, an independent fact-checking organization in India, reported the man is a Taliban fighter. According to multiple Afghan news outlets with reporters on the ground, he was trying to hoist a flag on the governor’s office in Kandahar.
    Shortly before it posted the video, Tabasum Radio posted another image of a helicopter at the Kandahar governor’s office.

    “Afghan pilot flying this is someone I have known over the years,” Sarwary wrote on Twitter. “He was trained in the US and UAE, he confirmed to me that he flew the Blackhawk helicopter. Taliban fighter seen here was trying to install Taliban flag from air but it didn’t work in the end.”
    In an email to USA TODAY, Tabasum Radio confirmed the video showed someone trying to hoist a flag.
    “One of the Taliban government’s bodyguards tried to tie the flag to the 100-meter-high antenna by helicopter but was unable to do so,” the station wrote in an emailed statement to USA TODAY.
    Sadiqullah Afghan, head of the radio station, gave a similar account to Fact Crescendo, another Indian fact-checking organization. He told the outlet he shot the video Aug. 30 on his phone.

    Of the 27 scientists who wrote a letter in The Lancet medical journal dismissing the possibility that Covid-19 originated from a Wuhan lab, 26 have links to its Chinese researchers, their colleagues or its benefactors, a new investigation has revealed.

    On March 7 last year, the influential journal published the letter in which the 27 scientists said they ‘strongly condemned conspiracy theories’ surrounding the origins of the coronavirus pandemic that has impacted all corners of the world.

    All debate into whether Covid-19 had man-made origins or leaked from the lab in Wuhan – the Chinese city that was ground-zero for the virus – was effectively shut down by the letter.

    However, an investigation by The Daily Telegraph newspaper into the signatories has found that 26 of the 27 had some link to the Wuhan Institute of Virology, where the leak was suspected – calling into question their impartiality.

    Signatories include Dr Peter Daszak, the British president of EcoHealth Alliance, which funnelled money into controversial research at a Wuhan Institute of Virology, and UK Government scientific adviser Sir Jeremy Farrar.

    Only one – Dr Ronald Corley, a microbiology expert from Boston University – has been found to have no links back to funders or researchers at the Wuhan institute.

    Below, the MailOnline looks at those signatories named by The Telegraph’s investigation – and other key figures and organisations – to have links with the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

    Dr Peter Daszak

    Zoologist, EcoHealth Alliance, New York

    The orchestrator of the letter, British zoologist Peter Daszak, was already found to have a conflict of interest through him being president of the US-based EcoHealth Alliance, which has funded research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

    Despite declaring no conflicts of interest at the time the letter was penned, The Lancet was forced to publish an addendum to the letter acknowledging Daszak’s connection to EcoHealth Alliance.

    In an email made public through Freedom of Information requests, Mr Daszak is said to have revealed on February 8 that he composed the letter after being asked by ‘our collaborators’ in China for a ‘show of support’.

    Scandal hit Dr Daszak has since been removed from the UN-backed Lancet commission looking at the origins of the pandemic.

    However, The Telegraph has reported that five other signatories also worked for the same organisation. None of whom declared their involvement.

    Two such signatories include Dr William Karesh, an infectious disease expert and Professor Hume Field, veterinary sciences expert.

    Dr Jeremy Farrar

    Tropical medicine expert and SAGE adviser & The Wellcome Trust, London

    The newspaper also found that three of the signatories were from Britain’s Wellcome Trust, which has also previously funded research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

    Signatory Sir Jeremy Farrar, a member of the UK’s Sage and the director of the Trust, has in the past published work with George Gao, the head of the Chinese Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, whom he has described as ‘an old friend’.

    Dr Gao, who studied at Oxford University, is a former research assistant at the Wellcome Trust. Mr Daszak has claimed Dr Gao supported his nomination to the National Academy of Sciences, according to The Telegraph.

    The Chinese scientist also has connections to Shi Zhengli, the scientist who has become known as ‘batwoman’ on account of her research into bat coronaviruses in Wuhan. Her team discovered a virus in 2013 which is the closest ever previously found to Sars-Cov-2 – the virus that causes Covid-19.

    Two other signatories – Dr Josie Golding and Professor Mike Turner – are known to have current or past connections with the Wellcome Trust.

    Dr Golding is the Trust’s Epidemics lead, while Prof. Turner is a Parasitology expert at the University of Glasgow, and formerly worked with the Trust.

    Speaking to the MailOnline in June on the lab leak theory, Dr Farrar said: ‘The origins of Sars-Cov-2 are not yet certain — it is possible the origin will never be fully established — but nature is a powerful force and, in my view, the most likely scenario is that the virus crossed from animals to humans and then evolved in humans.

    ‘The best scientific evidence available to date points to this. It is most likely it crossed the species barrier to infect and then adapt to humans at some point in 2019, but there are other possibilities which cannot be completely ruled out and retaining an open mind is critical.

    ‘There is no place for unsubstantiated rumour, or conspiracy theories often fuelled for political purposes.’

    Professor Linda Saif

    Microbiology expert, The Ohio State University

    Microbiology expert Professor Linda Saif, another signatory, spoke at a workshop in Wuhan in May 2017 along with Dr Shi and Dr Gao. The workshop was partly organised by the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

    The level of security in Chinese labs was among the topics discussed at the workshop, while Professor Saif’s talk covered animal coronaviruses.

    The Global Virome Project

    Two more signatories on The Lancet letter are in the leadership team of the Global Virome Project – an organisations whose goal is to detect and identify 99 percent or more of potential zoonotic viral threats.

    Mr Daszak is the treasurer of the Global Virome Project, while Dr Gao helped launch it, with EcoHealth Alliance as one of its partners.

    The Global Virome Project took over from the Predict project, which discovered more than 1,000 unique viruses in animals and humans.

    But according to The Telegraph, the Predict project was also found to have part-funded contentious work by Wuhan researchers on bat coronaviruses, which were altered to see if they could infect humans.

    The funds for the research were provided by the EcoHealth Alliance.

    Tropical infectious diseases expert, Curtin University, Perth, Australia

    Tropical infectious disease expert Professor John Mackenzie who works out of Curtin University in Perth, Australia, was another of the signatories.

    The investigation has found that he did not disclose that he was still listed as a committee member of the the Scientific Advisory Committee of Centre for Emerging Infectious Diseases at the Wuhan institute

    Professor Kanta Subbarao

    Virology expert, The University of Melbourne, Australia

    Professor Kanta Subbarao, another signatory from the University of Melbourne, spoke at a conference on emerging diseases in Wuhan in 2016 which was part-organised by the the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

    Prof. Subbarao was still chief of the US-based National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAD) Emerging Respiratory Viruses Section.

    Five more of the letter’s signatories have all been found by the investigation to have published articles with Professor Ralph Baric.

    Professor Prof Ralph Baric

    While Prof Baric was omitted from the list of signatories, he was collaborating with Shi Zhengli and the Wuhan Institute of Virology, researching genetically manipulated coronaviruses to see if they could be made to infect humans.

    Earlier this year, Republicans in the US argued that the virus was possibly genetically modified, and cite an interview with Baric in which he said it was possible to engineer a virus, ‘without leaving a trace.’

    Baric was initially asked to add his name to the letter by Mr Daszak, with emails between the pair recently coming to light ahead of The Lancet letter’s publication, showing that the pair decided to mask their association with the Wuhan institute to avoid looking ‘self-serving’.

    Mr Daszak told Prof Baric that he would publish the letter in such a way that it doesn’t ‘link it back to our collaboration so we maximise an independent voice’.

    Professor Peter Palese

    Microbiology expert, Icahn School of Medicine, New York

    A number of those who signed the letter have since changed their stance with some calling for a full inquiry into the origins of Covid-19.

    Speaking to the MailOnline in June, Professor Peter Palese – a microbiology expert from Icahn School of Medicine, New York, said: ‘I believe a thorough investigation about the origin of the Covid-19 virus is needed.

    ‘A lot of disturbing information has surfaced since the Lancet letter I signed, so I want to see answers covering all questions.’

    Asked how he was originally approached to sign the letter and what new information had come to light specifically, Professor Palese declined to comment.

    Out of the 27 signatories of the Lancet Letter, The Telegraph reported that it could find no connection between just one and the Wuhan Institute of Virology – Dr Ronald Corley from Boston University.

    Reacting to the findings of the investigation, researchers into the lab-leak theory who were blocked and branded conspiracy theorists called it an ‘extreme cover up’ on Friday, the newspaper reported.

    Molecular biologist Prof Richard Ebright, of Rutgers University, fought to uncover the truth behind the Covid pandemic.

    He told The Telegraph that after the June addendum that disclosed that Daszak had connections to the Wuhan institute, the other 27 signatories were invited to offer any of their own competing interests.

    ‘Incredibly, only Daszak appears to have done so,’ Ebright told the newspaper.

    ‘Conflicts of interest were not reported for any of the other 26 signers of the letter – not even those with obviously material undisclosed conflicts such as EcoHealth employees and Predict contractors.’

    Angus Dalgleish, professor of oncology at St Georges, University of London, warned that it could now be too late to fully learn the origins of Covid-19 because of what he called ‘stalling’, but remained hopeful that the evidence ‘is out there’.

    DID COVID LEAK FROM A WUHAN LAB? THE EVIDENCE FOR AND AGAINST
    Evidence for Wuhan lab-leak theory

    An article in the respected Science journal on May 14 kick-started the surge in interest for the lab-leak theory.

    Some 18 experts wrote in the journal that ‘we must take hypotheses about both natural and laboratory spillovers seriously until we have sufficient data’.

    Later that month, a study by British Professor Angus Dalgleish and Norwegian scientist Dr Birger Sørensen claimed it had ‘prima facie evidence of retro-engineering in China’ for a year.

    The study included accusations of ‘deliberate destruction, concealment or contamination of data’ at Chinese labs.

    It followed statements from the WHO Director General, US and EU that greater clarity about the origins of this pandemic is necessary and feasible to achieve.

    Previously, the theory had been dismissed as conspiracy by most experts, partly because of its association with President Donald Trump.

    President Joe Biden in May ordered a full investigation into the origin of the pandemic virus and demanded scientists work out whether there is truth to the theory.

    The head of the World Health Organization insisted just a day earlier that the theory that Covid emerged from a Wuhan lab has not been ruled out — as he said China should help solve the mystery out of ‘respect’ for the dead.

    The body’s director-general, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, suggested that Beijing had not cooperated fully as he urged more ‘transparency’ in the continuing investigation.

    Evidence against the theory

    Several other sects of the scientific community continue to suggest the virus could only be natural in origin.

    A series of recent papers pointed to the virus evolving in animals before being transmitted to humans, in the same way as all other previously discovered coronaviruses.

    The first study, published in Scientific Reports, showed some 47,000 wild animals from 38 species were sold across four markets in Wuhan between May 2017 and November 2019.

    The authors, including Dr Chris Newman, an evolutionary ecologist at Oxford University, claimed the evidence showed the conditions for animal-to-human transmission were in place in Wuhan.

    But they acknowledged there was no proof Sars-CoV-2 was present or originated in any of these animals.

    A joint World Health Organization-China investigation also concluded it was ‘very likely’ the virus jumped from bats to humans via an as-yet-unknown intermediary animal.
