Reader’s Links for July 29, 2021

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

      • Smile. Yes. People who the min wage does not cover: those without work visa; those who want cash because income would remove their eligibility for government benefits (food, medical, housing, college tuition); those who want cash so they can avoid paying taxes or child support etc. Ag workers, taxi drivers, movie extras, piece workers, and restaurant servers et al. are not entitled to standard minimum wages.

    M. One of those “self evident” truths that are blindly or knowingly ignored by the MSM, the Left and most others. But can anyone see it actually happening? The NKVD mutated into the KGB and it was still run on the same principles as despite the leadership “overhaul” the entrenched bureaucrats still remained. To destroy the FBI is wishful thinking as it will do exactly the same: remove a few heads; change the name and as soon as the dust has settles the woke bureaucrats will continue where they left off as the people they are recruiting, and those on 2nd, 3rd and 4th tier levels are all part of it, by actively helping, blissfully ignoring or simply too frightened to not do as told. The rot in ALL western bureaucracies is far too deep.

    Disband the FBI
    by Chris Farrell

In the past few days alone, we have learned that the October 2020 Michigan governor kidnap plot was largely a creation of the FBI; a “senior FBI official” was on the take from media organizations; and another assistant director was in a “romantic relationship with a subordinate” and involved in “other misconduct.” The leadership failures documented by the Office of the Inspector General are now almost standard and part of a tiresome media drip-torture for the public to endure.

The FBI ran a coup against President Trump. It failed. The following got away: Comey, McCabe, Strzok, Page, Clinesmith, Pientka, Brower, Baker, et al. Any real consequences for attempting to overthrow the government of the United States? No.

Questions are now being raised as to whether the FBI had a role in the Capitol Hill protests of January 6, 2021. When one examines the FBI’s involvement in the Trump-Russia collusion hoax; Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) abuses; standing by idly while in possession of Hunter Biden’s Ukraine and Burisma-laden laptops, while President Trump endured a second phony impeachment; and the frame-up of Trump’s National Security Advisor, Lieutenant General Michael Flynn – it is not too difficult to imagine.

The FBI needs to go away. It should happen in an orderly and thoughtful process, over a period of months. Congress should authorize and create an investigative division in the U.S. Marshals Service and open applications for law enforcement officer seeking to be rigorously screened, vetted and then accessed into the new organization. Similar action was taken before in the very creation of the FBI. It is now time to clean house and restore the public’s trust in the “premier investigative agency” of federal law enforcement.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) continues its downward spiral into terminal corruption. Sadly, the scandals, criminality and ethical abuses of the organization are largely ignored by the American public and by the institutions of government charged with oversight and correction. Outrage after outrage is reported, hearings are held, Inspector General reports are issued — but the systemic corruption is never really tackled and dirty cops skate away virtually unscathed.

This situation is constitutionally unacceptable, corrosive to public trust in law enforcement, and a threat to the survival of the republic.

Meanwhile, the FBI had the audacity to issue a Stasi-like tweet urging “monitoring of ‘family members and peers’ for extremism.”

Remember: what we learn about the FBI in the press are only the stories that are SO outrageous that the FBI cannot keep a lid on them and is forced to make disclosures via a toothless Inspector General report — but never anything that results in a criminal indictment. Imagine what the ordinary day-to-day misconduct in FBI offices across the country could be. And these scandals don’t just amount to “bad press” – in several of these, federal courts scourge the FBI for lawbreaking. Additionally, Inspector General report after report details FBI abuses such as whistleblowers being retaliated against and ignoring “high-risk” employees who fail polygraph tests.

There are still apologists for the FBI. Some seek to defend the organization with the rationalization that “it’s always been that way.” That sort of thinking is a cynical effort to inoculate and immunize real criminality as something normal and regular. “Get used to it kid, that’s the way of the world,” they offer with a shrug and a grin. Others, like Sean Hannity, cling to the “just a few bad apples” excuse. That sort of FBI cheerleading flies in the face of a litany of systemic abuses and pervasive abusers. The FBI ran a coup against President Trump. It failed. The following got away: Comey, McCabe, Strzok, Page, Clinesmith, Pientka, Brower, Baker, et al. Any real consequences for attempting to overthrow the government of the United States? No.

In May 2018, veteran reporter Eric Lichtblau of Time magazine wrote an article titled, “The FBI Is in Crisis. It’s Worse Than You Think,” wherein he detailed:

“The bureau, which is used to making headlines for nabbing crooks, has been grabbing the spotlight for unwanted reasons: fired leaders, texts between lovers and, most of all, attacks by President Trump … internal and external reports have found lapses throughout the agency, and longtime observers, looking past the partisan haze, see a troubling picture: something really is wrong at the FBI… other painful, more public failures as well: missed opportunities to prevent mass shootings that go beyond the much-publicized overlooked warnings in the Parkland, Fla., school killings; an anguishing delay in the sexual-molestation probe into Olympic gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar; and evidence of misconduct by agents in the aftermath of standoffs with armed militias in Nevada and Oregon. FBI agents are facing criminal charges ranging from obstruction to leaking classified material.”

Four years later and the situation has not improved.

Let us go back to the Michigan governor “kidnap plot” for a moment. The entire operation was an anti-Trump political smear job — and was called into question for being exactly that back when the story broke in October 2020. Now we find out that the FBI was running at least a dozen paid “confidential informants” in the plot. It was a plot they dreamed up. It was actually a rehash of an Obama-era 2010 FBI plot by the so-called “Hutarees” that fell apart in court.

The FBI worries about “entrapment” in these cases because the FBI must demonstrate that there is reasonable suspicion that the subject in a case is about to be or is engaging in criminal activity. The government then allows the criminal/terrorist the opportunity to commit the act. In these cases, the FBI has good reason to worry.

More disturbingly, this is nothing new. Look at the “Herald Square Bomber” case as another instance in which the FBI identifies, recruits, trains, dispatches and then arrests the very informant they recruited in the first place. The FBI appears to have fabricated plots and terrorists to advance their own agenda and statistics. It looks, walks, and talks like “entrapment.” Are there really no other bad guys out there for the FBI to go after? They need to focus on this modus operandi?

Questions are now being raised as to whether the FBI had a role in the Capitol Hill protests of January 6, 2021. When one examines the FBI’s involvement in the Trump-Russia collusion hoax; Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) abuses; standing by idly while in possession of Hunter Biden’s Ukraine and Burisma-laden laptops, while President Trump endured a second phony impeachment; and the frame-up of Trump’s National Security Advisor, Lieutenant General Michael Flynn – it is not too difficult to imagine. And that is just the problem: It is not difficult to imagine. It should be an “impossibility.”

  2. If the latest data is correct then I am sorry. I am sorry for all of the people who received mRNA injections. I’m sorry for those who have yet to get injected but intend to be. Your good faith in your doctors was and is corrupted beyond our understanding. No one deserves to be coerced and fooled this way. For those unaware, big red flags are going up in highly-vaxx jurisdictions due to surging Delta variant infection numbers. It is my hope that maybe the adverse effects of the injections will be mitigated with time, and peoples’ natural immunity will return to their original levels. I’m sorry for doctors, too.

When someone close to me had a nervous breakdown not long ago and ended up in hospital, the doctors injected this person even though they were deemed legally mentally incompetent. How was that any form of informed consent? The person’s spouse was not even informed. The radio man yesterday was talking about a local doctor who is offering secret injections to children. Just show up, kids, and your parents don’t have to know a thing. Talk about a true believer. What if a kid has an adverse reaction? How is that kept a secret? Will that doctor take responsibility, or will they hand the sick child back to the parents and say the kid is their problem now, sorry. This is what happens when legal recourse for medical malpractice is made near impossible.

I understand that many people, in contrast, have made the open-eyed decision to receive one of the brands of injection out of some form of personal necessity. But you, too, could not have been provided informed consent.

Israel looks like a hot pot from afar. Highly vaxxed, surging infections and a new strident leader. I wonder if Bibi can come back to help fix things later.

The CDC is a mess. Its politicization has turned science into a serving dish of confusion. And this data is revealing vaxxed vulnerabilities are arriving soon enough to let scientists digest it for the coming autumn flu season. Will the regular flu ever be uncloaked again by its political magicians? Will the crumbling facade of medical malfeasance embolden free radicals to seize the day? The collectivists’ strategy to deconstruct and clog societiel cappiliaries with political spike proteins is backfiring.

The new mask mandate for the fully vaxxed is a massive “tell”. Data is a bitch, then you marry it. Will the next flu season bring wild virus peril to millions? Will governments mandate a lifetime of boosters in an attempt to save the ferrets from wild viruses and fend off political catastrophe? What side effects does the fifth shot hold? The 10th? That’ll be some headache, I bet.

And this is only what Dr. Malone says about the Pfizer vaxx, which he says has one third of the mojo of the Moderna injection. Does this mean Moderna recipients will experience the same vulnerability in 1.5 years? Questions drowning in an ocean of mRNA answers.

And all to rid the global silk road of one Donald Trump.

New York Times reporter calls Trump supporters ‘enemies of the state’

Yesterday, NBC’s Chuck Todd resurrected the long-debunked myth that there is no liberal media bias. As John Sexton notes at Hot Air, “the discussion [between Todd and a reporter at the Verge] started with whether or not Todd would allow Sen. Ted Cruz to appear on Meet the Press. Todd said he wasn’t sure he would because Cruz isn’t credible and may just be there to gaslight viewers. That led to a broader points about objectivity and fairness.”

[…]As it turns out, Ms. Benner is not quite what she appears…. not even close.

[…]Katie Benner (pictured left) used to write freelance for the Beijing Review, China’s only National news magazine in English, published by the Chinese Communist Party-owned China International Publishing Group.

Benner joined the New York Times in 2015 after her initial work at the communist propaganda outlet.

[…]So Ms. Benner was an operative, an embed, of the Chinese Communist Party propaganda machine.

[…]Departing Beijing and landing in San Francisco (fall of 2014), Katie Benner embedded into MSM via Bloomberg as a technology reporter. Then, she jumped over to the New York Times (June 2015), again focusing on the Tech sector…. and then for some unknown reason, the tech expertise was dropped, and she took on a new role reporting on U.S. Department of Justice issues.

[…]SUMMARY – Ms. Katie Benner appears to be a Chinese Communist Party operative who worked through the U.S. media system as a journalist, eventually into the New York Times, weaving her way through the organization to a place where she focuses on national security issues within the DOJ…. and then, unfortunately for her CCP handlers, Ms. Benner triggered her CCP tradecraft motivation a little too openly on Twitter and did not clear the blast zone.

  6. JULY 28 – Thousands of protesters gather for protest against Green Pass in Rome

    • Protesters rally against COVID health pass in Italy and France

European governments argue that steps need to be taken as a fourth wave is approaching fast. Protesters remain sceptical.

However, as the Delta variant causes a surge in new infections, vaccination registrations have soared in both countries.

Recent opinion polls in Italy and France also suggest that more people approve of the measures than there are against them.

      • Wouldn't be Rome without hearing: vaffanculo!

Rome isn't my favorite place. Embarrasses decent Italians. (Maybe like D.C. for Americans, in different ways.

Turnout lower than expected in Italy’s anti-Covid green pass protests

Torch-lit protests were held in 12 Italian cities against the mandatory anti-Covid green pass which is due to come into effect on 6 August in Italy for cultural and sports venues. The pass will be needed to dine at tables in cafes and restaurants indoors.

The turnout was less than what organizers had been hoping for.

The rallies were organized by the Committee Free Choice.

Protesters, few of whom were wearing protective masks, waved banners which read: “Green Pass dictatorial measure” and “We are for yes to freedom”.

The event in Rome was held in the central Piazza del Popolo, the scene of other such demonstrations in recent days against the government’s decision on the green pass.

Hundreds of people, including a number of parliamentarians, stood under a large banner which read: “United for freedom of choice, against all discriminations”.

The well-known art critic and politician, Vittorio Sgarbi, was among them.

“I am not getting vaccinated because I am scared. We have no certainties that the vaccine has been tested. I do not want the vaccine, its my decision”, he said.

Many of those who turned out in the square holding torches shouted out: “Freedom” and: “Hands off our children”.

Meanwhile, many authoritative voices have been sounded in favour of vaccinations.

The Italian President, Sergio Mattarella, said on Wednesday: “The pandemic is not behind us and getting vaccinated is a moral and civic duty.”

He added that the virus has mutated and is becoming more contagious and the longer it circulates, the more frequent and dangerous its mutations may become.

Stefano Patuanelli, a high-profile member of the Five Star Movement, wrote on his Facebook page that the participation of politicians to the protests is a devastating signal.

“We do not realise how we are still risking today the resurgence of the pandemic and the government’s efforts to introduce measures that will allow productive activities to remain open.”

    • China is stepping into the meat grinder, i wonder how long the CCP will be able to support that drain on their dwindling cash reserves?

    • TFI wants the Philippines and probably the other Pacific Nations to step out from under the US umbrella and start getting closer to Russia. They want these nations to play the US against Russia in their efforts to remain free from China.

India probably has dreams of forming a bloc of semi neutral nations with them at the lead making them the power broker in the Indo China and Pacific regions. We wouldn’t have to worry about this possibility if Obama/Biden weren’t such Traitors.

      • For sure they’re more trusting of Russia.

And they’re right to be wary of the West. Who stands up to the MB-infiltrated media, NGOs, etc. on Kashmir or the LAC or any other conflict?

During the Trump admin, there was a very contained, transactional relationship. That’s all.

Turkey is Pakistan’s best buddy after China. Indian observers watch what transpires there very closely. Western interests dictate appeasement of the Sultan and his MB.

The filthy Turk was coddled by PT, who chose to green-light the invasion of Kurdish territories. American conservatives were so pleased to get out of the “sand and blood”, they fell back on slurs against the SDF.

That’s only the most recent example of kicking an ally to the curb, in their eyes, anyway.

with them at the lead making them the power broker…
India doesn’t like to be seen as the power broker. It’s a mentality TFI chooses to ignore, but it’s real. The “concert of allies” plays better to Hindu sensibilities. The Bear will always be benevolent elder brother.

      • Is the reason that China is building more nukes because they are worried abut India’s build up in the mountains? If it is this says a lot about how confident the CCP is about their Armies ability to win a war against India.

Another question that needs to be ask is will China increasing the number of warheads they have cause India to increase their nuclear arsenal? If India does decide to increase its nuclear arsenal will this start a nuclear arms race that will finish the job of bankrupting China? One of the TFI videos that I posted today talked about how the Trump policies have almost bankrupted China and how the Biden Policies are helping it recover. Not that this will do much to save China. The natural disasters, last years and this years floods, the drought in a different region the Typhoon, last years bird and swine flues and this years swine flu have come close to taking what is left of the Chinese cash reserve.

Unless something major happens there is very little chance that Communist China will last many more years. History says that the live span of a communist society is only around 70 years. China has passed that mark and is on the down hill side of their sell by date.

Nun also Leipzig.

Täter 1: etwa 1,80 Meter groß, 30 bis 40 Jahre alt, dunklere Hautfarbe, dunkle Haare, dunkle Augen, dunkles Basecap (verkehrt herum getragen), dunkler OP-Mundschutz, dunkles T-Shirt, dunkle Hose, Flip-Flops ohne Socken.

  12. “Why am I ‘Vaccine Hesitant’? And Who is Wielding the Stick to Beat That Out of Me?” by CJ Wheeler – July 28, 2021

    Excerpt:
They keep asking that dumb question…
    Why are you “vaccine-hesitant?”

First, let’s be crystal clear … I’m not “hesitant.”
That’s like saying I’m hesitant to jump off a cliff.

    It’s a full-stop, 100%, no-chance-in-Hell, stop-pushing-your-BS-on-me.
NO! I’m not hesitant, I’m outraged.

    “But WHHHHYYYYYYYY?”
The entire Left and the vaccinated zombies on the Right all whine in cult-like unison.

On the I-57 highway through Illinois, time seems to go backward with each southbound mile.

The houses and cars in the yards get older. As years pass, town populations shrink. Eventually, homes turn back into piles of disconnected wood and glass, then empty lots. At the end of the highway, the town of Cairo slowly sinks back into the confluence of the Mississippi and Ohio rivers.

A town of 15,000 people in the 1920s, Cairo now houses fewer than 2,000 residents. Today, the town is so silent that the few voices heard while walking the streets underscore its emptiness.

Cairo’s citizens live between abandoned buildings and walk sidewalks covered in burrs. Many work in Missouri or Kentucky.

Glenn Collier is one of the few Cairo residents with a job in the city. He’s a general contractor. Although he has lived in Cairo for most of his life, he said he only stays because he has family in the area.

“The closest place that you’ll find a job around here is probably 30 miles away,” Collier told The Epoch Times.
