Reader’s Links for July 21, 2021

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

I remember seeing Benny Goodman on the Carson show and Johnny said something like, “It must have been terrible living in Chicago with Al Capone and all the gangsters all over the place…”. To which Benny replied, “No, no. Not at all. Nobody in their right mind would try to mug one of Frank’s customers on the way to one of his speaks. The streets of Chicago were the safest place you could be in the world, even more so at night.”

In reality, if a Mafia wise guy shot a little girl at a birthday party while he was trying to whack her dad the bosses would hold a “sit down” and the guy would be gone by tomorrow night. What’s the matter with these dumb-ass modern Chicago gangs regularly shooting little girls as they get revenge on some guy who said something bad about their shoes or flipped them the bird? I’ve never seen such sheer idiocy. They’re too effing stupid to even try to run a gang…

I get that every conservative alive is supposed to believe that the sanctions against Cuba have nothing to do with their current economic problems, but I’m not so sure. I hope this doesn’t mark me as a Godless communist…

You can correctly say that we Canadians trade with nations from all over the world but still, the vast majority of our business is with the United States and I hate to think what life would be like in Canada if we didn’t have absolutely perfect access to by far the greatest market on the planet. I think we’d look a lot more like Russia and a lot less like California if the Americans suddenly canceled all their contracts and took their business elsewhere and there wouldn’t be crowds of Mercedes Benzes and BMWs all over the place between the Ford F-150s and the brand new Explorers…

I agree with Margaret Thatcher who didn’t believe in sanctions at all and thought they only served to hurt the innocent while leaving the guilty unscathed and thus being useless as a coercion tool but harmful to the people. And when you think about it do you really think that the dictator and his friends are doing without during sanctions? Wouldn’t the guys with the machine guns and the jackboots be able to keep the good stuff for themselves while passing the sanctions off on the common people…? Did Fidel have to drink one-star bourbon and smoke cheap cigars…?

    • I may be misinformed on this, but, in a speech given recently, Marco Rubio stated that the Trump trade sanctions on Cuba only applied to entities owned by the regime. Americans were perfectly free to trade with small (or large – or any) businesses in Cuba which were private and did not enrich the regime.

In other words, Americans are free to trade with the people of Cuba – the sanctions only prevent the flow of funds into the coffers of the regime, which would then be used to further oppress the Cuban citizens.

As someone who is a political refugee from a Communist country, that seems like a very, very wise policy. Anything less would be directly funding my oppression.

      • Here’s a quote from the Congressional Research Project (whoever that it…)

        “In 2019, the
        Treasury Department eliminated people-to-people
educational travel and the Commerce Department generally
prohibited cruise ships, private and corporate aircraft,
sailboats, and fishing boats from going to Cuba.”

Just the cruise ship ban alone would be enough to economically cripple any Caribean country. If they banned cruise ships in St Thomas or St Croix a permanent night would descend on those places.

And that article goes on to describe a whole mess of sanctions the US imposed on Cuba, even if they made some exceptions. I’m not pro-Castro or anything I’m just saying that we do not know how well Cuba would be doing if they had not been sanctioned by the US for the last 70 years. To insist that they had nothing to do with Cuba’s woes is questionable…

  3. Another example of government caring less about health than about power. Giving first-class citizenry to the double vaxxxed pushes these people into something of an unwitting harm’s way if Dr. Peter McCullough is right, saying about 45% of new Delta cases are twice stabbed. What a stupid mess they have created in chasing their collectivist dictatorship. I realize that to these commies who feign caring we are really just statistics, but will they, themselves, feel like a statistic or a tragedy when stuck by the pitchfork of the angry mob?

  4. I’ve long thought that the so-called fall of the Iron Curtain was really just a reverse in the polarity of communism. The fall exported communists like Merkel to the west to assume power, while the east was immunized to communism because of its 50-year bout with that sickness. Now, however, we see the mutant strain of communism a la Covid-19 vaccines setting in there under cover of medical tyranny, and immunity to the original strain is lost. Meanwhile, the Polish-Hungarian partnership of mutually-leveraged EU vetoes seems under threat:

Federal Lawsuit Seeks Immediate Halt of Covid Vaccines, Cites Whistleblower Claiming CDC is Undercounting Deaths

American Frontline Doctors filed a motion to stop the use of Emergency Use Authorization COVID vaccines for anyone under 18, anyone with natural immunity or anyone who hasn’t received informed consent.

States the death number is at least 5 times the 10,991 they have released.

One of the plaintiffs, Deborah Sobczak, a mother of a 15 and 17 year old said: “My child will not be the subject of an experiment. WHAT KIND OF MONSTERS are we allowing to control us? Perfectly healthy children have developed heart inflammation, brain bleeding and even died. I have had enough. I am not sacrificing my child so a pharmaceutical company can experiment on her. This madness has to stop.

CDC has added 6,000 new death reports in VAERS following #COVID19 vaccinations in the US.

This is more than double last week’s total figure and 0.0036% of the approx. 338 million administered doses.

VAERS numbers are updated weekly. The CDC has not yet commented on whether this high jump, compared to previous weeks, is due to a backlog or actual reported cases last week.

Interesting that they’re using Covid-19 vaccine doses instead of number of people vaccinated to help drive down the total % of deaths.

This is so out of control and absolutely beyond belief that sane people are allowing this carnage.

Perhaps the tech giants are so interest in getting off this planet before everyone is dead, thanks to the global madmen, their collaborators.

    • CDC whistleblower claims vaccine death toll far greater than VAERS is reporting, says attorney filing federal lawsuit

ATLANTA, Ga. — Thomas Renz, an Ohio-based attorney, said at a conference in California last weekend that he is filing a federal lawsuit on behalf of a whistleblower from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) who is claiming there are at least 45,000 deaths from one of multiple reporting systems that report to the Vaccine Adverse Effect Reporting System (VAERS), which is maintained by the CDC.

The most recent data dump from VAERS showed 11,988 deaths, including 997 deaths among unborn babies, linked to the COVID-19 shots through July 9. That comes after jumps in the death count of 2,063 and 1,943 the previous two weeks.

But, according to Renz, that is a vast undercount of the deaths. He said with the aid of America’s Frontline Doctors that he’s filing a lawsuit on behalf of a CDC whistleblower who has apparently signed a “sworn declaration, under the threat of perjury.”

“I know based on this woman’s testimony … that there have been 45,000 deaths based on how many people died within three days of the vaccine, in just one system that’s reporting to the federal government,” Renz said. He added: “And let me tell you what, there are reportedly around 11 or 12 systems that are reporting deaths and injuries to the government.”

Renz has filed multiple lawsuits concerning COVID-19, including one in May of this year seeking a temporary restraining order to stop allowing the experimental vaccines to be given to anyone 16 or younger.

In Sept. of 2020, Renz filed a lawsuit against Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine for his lockdown measures.

“We believe that the response to COVID-19 has been the greatest fraud ever perpetrated on the American public. The objective of this legal action is to force the state to honor the Constitution and to stop the lies, manipulation and fearmongering intentionally being promoted by public health officials and elected officials,” Renz said in a news release.

Regarding the vaccines, the current 11,988 dead according to the VAERS report still makes the COVID-19 shots the deadliest vaccine ever made but the media has largely ignored it.

Dr. Michael Thau, for Revolver News, wrote last month: “You would hope that if a new vaccine wound up getting more death reports in five months than all the others combined over the entire previous 28 years, that might warrant some attention. Think Again.”

“An army of journalists and self-proclaimed fact-checkers stand ready to besiege anyone who dares to report on this astonishing data. Not only is there nothing to see, suggesting otherwise makes you a conspiracy theorist or far-right extremist, according to our betters in the fake news media,” Thau added.

Thau noted journalist Alex Berenson who has exposed some of the flaws with the VAERS reporting system. Berenson tweeted in April: “A clue to how bad the VAERS backlog has gotten: This person submitted a report in late Jan., a quarter-million reports ago. She received an automated reply asking for more information TODAY.”

Virginia Stoner provided graphs and charts in May showing just how large a spike in deaths there have been compared to all vaccines previously noting: “We’re not talking about a modest increase in death reports, something we might chat about in concerned voices over Chai tea and bagels at a company mixer. We’re talking about a huge and unprecedented increase — so massive that in the last 4 months alone, VAERS has received over 40% of all death reports it has ever received in its entire 30+year history. So massive it’s literally ‘off the chart.’”

“Even with the COVID-19 shots, the estimated total vaccines administered so far this year is less than the yearly average — because we are only a quarter of the way through this year. No doubt the vaccine count will climb much higher by the end of this year, but it’s not the reason for the massive increase in VAERS death reports over the last 4 months,” Stoner adds.

Dr. Peter McCullough, one of America’s top-published medical researchers, is warning that the government is scrubbing death numbers from the shots.

    • Thomas Renz has filed a lawsuit claiming 45K Americans have died within 3-days after COVID JAB

Attorney Tom Renz has filed this in court in a federal lawsuit representing America’s Frontline Doctors.

The number of people who have died as a result of the Jab is staggering, and Renz says he looks forward to suing Google or anyone else who censors this information as being complicit in causing DEATH

Mark Ibrahim of Orange County, Calif., who joined the pro-Trump crowd outside the Capitol while armed with his DEA-issued pistol, faces felony charges of entering a restricted area with a weapon, possession of a firearm on Capitol grounds and lying to investigators.

Ibrahim has insisted through his attorney that he did not go inside the Capitol building or engage in any violence. However, prosecutors allege that Ibrahim violated the law by crossing police lines set up with barricades and other markers that closed off access to most of the Capitol grounds on Jan. 6.

Congress, federal investigative and law enforcement agencies, and prosecutors have failed to

The commission must examine the methods of instigation and organization, the funding, the

Jones defended his signature in 2009 explaining that the petition did not reflect his personal views and that he did not read the petition closely. Then he stepped down from his position in the Obama Administration.

Jones came under fire for calling Republicans “assholes”. He also later claimed that Conservatives have “cheap patriotism “ and are willing to kill children for jobs.

In 2016 he called Trump’s victory in the Presidential election a “whitewash against a black President”.

Later, Jones admitted Trump “has done good stuff for the black community” and even worked with the Trump Administration on criminal Justice reform.

  12. ITALY – Voghera security councilor in Italy arrested in murder of Moroccan migrant

    Massimo Adriatici claims self-defense

A security councilor from the northern Voghera municipality was arrested Wednesday for killing a Moroccan immigrant.

Massimo Adriatici, a lawyer and member of the right-wing League Party, known for anti-immigration and anti-Islam rhetoric, killed the 39-year-old immigrant late Tuesday.

When he was initially questioned, Adriatici reportedly said he was pushed to the ground by the victim and the gun accidentally went off.

    Allegation of self-defense

The League Party, led by Matteo Salvini, claimed in a statement that Adriatici acted in self-defense.

It alleged that Adriatici came to the defense of a young girl who was being harassed by a Morrocan man.

The statement also highlighted that Adriatici is a former police officer and teaches criminal law at the police academy.

Italy’s center-left Democratic Party, however, has demanded that the League Party condemn the actions of the councilor.

reuters – Political furore in Italy after League councillor kills Moroccan

ROME, July 21 (Reuters) – A member of Italy’s rightist League party was placed under house arrest on Wednesday after shooting dead a Moroccan immigrant following an altercation in a bar.

Massimo Adriatici, a League councillor in the northern town of Voghera, killed the 39-year-old man on Tuesday night. Police named the dead migrant as Youns El Boussetaoui and said they were investigating the shooting.

The case touched off a political furore, with League leader Matteo Salvini leaping to the defence of Adriatici, a former policeman who had a gun licence, while opponents questioned why he was carrying a firearm in a public place.

Local media said the row broke out between the two men in a bar in central Voghera. Adriatici was quoted as saying that the gun went off after El Boussetaoui pushed him to the ground as he was trying to call the police.

Salvini, a former interior minister whose party has adopted an anti-migrant platform, said Adriatici was well respected in the local community.

“The victim of an assault, he responded and accidentally fired a shot,” Salvini said in a video posted on social media, going on to say that Adriatici had probably acted in self defence, suggesting that El Boussetaoui had a criminal record.

Political opponents criticised the League leader for jumping to conclusions before the police had completed their investigation.

“Everyone, without exception, must condemn the logic of the Far West and do-it-yourself justice,” said Vinicio Peluffo, head of the centre-left Democratic Party in the northern Lombardy region.

“If the League thinks that carrying weapons brings security, then that is really worrying, because it only brings bloodshed and certainly not law and order,” he said.

Like other European Union countries, Italy has tough laws regulating both ownership and use of firearms and gun deaths are rare. Adriatici, who was nicknamed locally “the sheriff”, was in charge of the security portfolio within the town council.

    Voghera security councillor kills immigrant

Official says shot went off accidentally after he was pushed to ground

The public safety and security councillor in the northern city of Voghera, Massimo Adriatici, was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of shooting and killing a Moroccan immigrant after a row on Tuesday night.

Adriatici, a lawyer and member of the rightwing League party, reportedly said the fatal shot went off accidentally after he was pushed to the ground by the victim.

The League said he had allegedly fired at the 39-year-old immigrant in self-defence.

The League said he was defending a girl from alleged molestation by the immigrant, who they said had a history of being drunk and disorderly as well as violent.

Adriatici is a prominent lawyer in the town near Pavia in Lombardy and has started initiatives against riotous and drink and drug fuelled street night life known as the ‘malamovida’.

Reportedly a former policeman, he also teaches criminal law to police cadets at Alessandria.

Immunologist Demands Wall Street Journal Editorial Board Retracts Dangerous Lie About Covid Immunity

In a letter to the WSJ, Dr. Holman Noorchashm said the board’s claim that people previously infected with Covid appear to be more susceptible to the Delta variant has “no basis in either current scientific epidemiological data or the fundamentals of immunology.

The WSJ editorial board has published an absolute falsehood regarding the susceptibility of Covid-recovered and immune Americans to subsequent infection. This letter demanding a correction or retraction was sent to the WSJ editorial board and a few prominent WSJ Reporters.

Dear Messrs., Gigot, Merry, Henninger and colleagues:
Today I was shocked to read what I know, with 100 % certainty as an immunologist and physician, is a lie in the WSJ op-Ed on Covid-19, specifically, your colleagues are stating the following falsehoods:

“Previously infected individuals appear to be more susceptible to re-infection by the Delta-variant, which could explain some of the rising cases.

This WSJ statement is a dangerous lie, with NO basis in either current epidemiological data of the fundamentals of immunology. To the contrary, the bulk of studies on the topic of “re-infection” in the Covid-recovered are demonstrating that individuals who are Covid-recovered and have acquired antibody and T-cell immunity to SARS-CoV-2, are equally if not better protected from subsequent infection as compared to the vaccinated.

Though I am cognizant, this fact ought NOT to be abused as an argument for seeking natural infection as a pathway to immunity, it IS the argument for not allowing coercion of Covid-recovered Americans to undergoing what is an unnecessary and potentially dangerous treatment to them.

I am left with wondering why an editorial board of a respected media outlet like the WSJ would allow itself to spread such a lie with no stringent verifications

    1. Are you simply careless journalists now? OR

    2. are you now actively participants in the US Government’s publicity machine attempting to impose a “one-size-fits-all” vaccine policy on all Americans, irrespective of medical necessity, the fundamentals of immunological science and medical ethics?

Irrespective , of what the reason is for your lie, you have now published in today’s editorial article, it is an absolute journalistic duty for you to either correct or retract this false statement now – given that you have been alerted to it.

For the WSJ to publish a critical, false statement that opens the door to misleading the public and galvanizing generalist politicians, and potentially dangerous coerced vaccines of a florid and dangerous dereliction of journalistic duty – but, of course, this seems to be the norm for the mainstream media these days.

Please immediately retract your editorial board’s false statement and correct it to reflect the truth of what is known and what the science of immunology actually would predict. your editorial piece, as it stands, promotes a very serious lie.

Barrack, who never registered with the American government as an agent for the UAE, also is charged with obstruction of justice and making multiple false statements during a June 2019 interview with federal law enforcement agents.

The indictment noted that Barrack, 74, during that time covered by the indictment informally advised American officials on Middle East policy, and also sought appointment to a senior role in the U.S. government, including as special envoy to the Middle East.

History records that it was a “mad” monarch, King George III, who lost the American colonies so very long ago. British researchers have since studied his scribbled notes, the diaries of his advisors, and his royal decrees to suggest he suffered from possible psychiatric illness such as bipolar disorder.

    Fortunately, America has no monarch.

We are taught from our earliest days in school that our government is comprised of three separate and equal branches. The idea of a monarch, above the law, immune from scrutiny and without accountability to anyone is an attack on the very foundation of our democracy. Americans would take to the ramparts once more if we were threatened with such a form of government.
