Reader’s Links for July 8, 2021

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

Kaspersky Password Manager: All your passwords are belong to us
Two years ago, we looked at Kaspersky Password Manager (KPM), a password manager developed by Kaspersky. Kaspersky Password Manager is a product that securely stores passwords and documents into an encrypted vault, protected by a password. This vault is protected with a master password, so, as with other password managers, users have to remember a single password to use and manage all their passwords. Product is available for various operating systems (Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, Web…) Encrypted data can then be automatically synchronized between all your devices, always protected by your master password.

The main functionality of KPM is password management. One key point with password managers is that, contrary to humans, these tools are good to generate random, strong passwords. To generate secure passwords, Kaspersky Password Manager must rely on a secure password generation mechanism. We will first see an example of a good password generation method, to explain after why the method used by Kaspersky was flawed, and how we exploited it. As we will see, passwords generated by this tool can be bruteforced in seconds.

After a bit less than two years, this vulnerability has been patched on all versions of KPM. Vulnerability has been assigned CVE-2020-27020.

  3. I had NO idea that the assassinated Haitian president , like the probably assassinated Tanzania president was a CV 19 denier as it seems to have had little effect upon both of their countries and that this strange “coincidence” reeks of “interference” by persons unknown but whose general source can be guessed.
It looks as though anyone who speaks out against the poison “vaccines” or CV19 generally is a potential target and especially so in 3rd world countries where murder is always an option for power ascent.
I am curious as to why the CV19 was so low there . Was it HCQ or Ivermectin or something else?

    • Maybe it was so low there because they didn’t test for it like the 1st world did with a test that has a 90% false positive rate.

The National Police of Haiti confirmed in a press conference late Wednesday that authorities had identified a group of “commandos” suspected of having assassinated President Jovenel Moïse in his home the night before.

Unidentified gunmen entered Moïse’s home in Port-au-Prince in the early morning hours of Wednesday and shot him dead; Haitian law enforcement officials stated the assailants shot him 12 times and attacked his wife, First Lady Martine Moïse. The president died of his injuries; the first lady arrived in Miami for extended treatment of her injuries Wednesday. The assailants reportedly spoke Spanish — some reports suggested English, as well — indicating they were foreigners. Haitian officials described them as “professional.”

Trump told RSBN he expects “hundreds of thousands” of people to join the lawsuit against Big Tech and urged supporters to join the lawsuit to protect conservatives’ freedom of speech on social media platforms.

During a highly-anticipated press conference, President Trump on Wednesday revealed he is filing a class-action lawsuit against Big Tech CEOs Jack Dorsey, Mark Zuckerberg, and Sundar Pichai – of Twitter, Facebook, and Google, respectively. However, he noted that joining him in this effort is the America First Policy Institute.

America First Policy Institute is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that focuses on furthering research regarding five pillars that promote the America First agenda, including jobs, opportunity, security, freedom, and innovation. AFPI’s mission specifically includes the “primacy of American workers, families, and communities in all we do.”
Despite that he is banned and censored from the world’s biggest social media platforms, President Trump remains one of the most popular and relevant political figures.

Regardless of Big Tech’s attempts to silence him, more than 40,000 supporters attended his most recent rally in Sarasota, Fla. At the same rally, RSBN had a record-breaking 300,000+ livestream viewers on Rumble after being temporarily suspended for continuing to air Trump’s rallies on YouTube.

A China professor claims in a video that US elites teamed up with China to take control of America.
(This information was first provided in December but is more relevant today.)

If you step back and think about it, this is exactly what has happened. China dropped a COVID bomb a year before the 2020 Election. The medical elites in the government teamed up with radical governors to shut down commerce in the US. Before this, the US was enjoying its best economy ever but China was the opposite, watching businesses leave their country and their economy failing.

China needed a change. President Trump’s policies put the US first in nearly every way. China needed to continue to steal fast-changing technologies in the West and the US was forcing companies to move out of China and to other places, including the US.

Elites in US industry were also happy to engage with China who promises cheap labor. Who cares if the quality is poor, China provides cheap widgets which can be sold at a profit in the US.

  6. I couldn’t decide on a title for my light-years-off-Broadway play. First it was called “Covid-19 The Never-Ending Musical”, then I called it “Hey Doctor, There’s a Fly in my Vaccine”, now finally I’ve settled on “Commie Snot and Goat Jazz”. Here’s an excerpt. This scene was inspired by the Spanish researchers:

Act 62, Scene 328. Jimmy arrives at the doctor’s office, looking forward to getting his first Covid-19 injection:

“What’s up, Doc? –Been waiting forever for this.”
“Hello, Jimmy. And how’s the family.”
“Oh they’re all good, thanks for asking. Finally got little Suzie unstuck from the fridge door last night. We call her our little fridge magnet, now, poor thing. Anyhoo, I wanted to ask, what’s in that there vaccine, anyway?”

Doctor Chew raises the needle he is holding up to the light, flicking it with his finger.

Music up. Blue light suddenly bathes the stage. In a single fluid motion the doctor tears away his white lab coat, revealing he is wearing only polkadot underwear. He produces a top hat for his head and high heels on his feet. He begins to sing and dance like a chorus girl:

“Well, You’ve got commie snot and goat jazz,
    And weary worn-out sighs,
    Lock-downs and cancels,
    And bristly womens’ thighs,
    Suicides and sleepless nights,
    And worries on and on…

    (He begins high kicks)

    …Billionaires and bubbles,
    Progressives by the pound,
    Nanofarts and chicken parts,
    And used-up coffee grounds,
Little things that have no name,
    And doctors without shame,
    Politicians on the make,
    And scientific goo,
    History that’s history,
    Eugenics by the jug,
    Memories of holding hands,
    And kissing in the night,
    Memories of our world before,
    This Chinese commie blight.”

Lights up. Music down. Doctor Chew sits back down beside Jimmy.

“That’s your informed consent, Jimmy. Any more questions?” he asks.

    “Why the goat jazz?”

    • Poor little Suzie.

She needs someone with a bigger, fresher load of goo to pry her away from the fridge.

License to monitor: National strategies, the Capitol Police, and Tucker Carlson

    Fox Business News video, YouTube

On 15 June, the Biden administration published its new National Strategy for Countering Domestic Terrorism. At the time, commentary outlets including Liberty Unyielding recognized the “Strategy” as a pretext for vilifying and ultimately criminalizing a huge segment of the American population.

In that earlier treatment, I focused on the process of vilification and how the media would factor into it; e.g., seeking to discredit factual reporting by raising “questions” about it (without proving anything against it), and then making the leap from that to calling the disfavored factual reporting “disinformation.”

The U.S. Capitol Police are planning to expand outside of the District of Columbia, opening regional field offices “to better protect lawmakers” against threats in the wake of the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, reports The New York Times.

Florida and California will be the first regional offices to open to address the rising threats against members of Congress, which have doubled since 2017, according to acting chief of force Yogananda D. Pittman.

The majority of those threats are from people outside of D.C., Pittman said.

  8. The headscarf in Belgium:

2 June 2021 ‘Either a referee or a player’: liberals oppose Equality Commissioner with headscarf
The president of the Francophone liberal MR party, Georges-Louis Bouchez, put the topic of the ban on headscarves back on the table following the appointment of Ihsane Haouach as Government Commissioner at the Institute of Equality for Women and Men.
According to Bouchez, the appointment of Haouach, who wears a headscarf, goes against “the neutrality of the state,” and was motivated by electoral considerations by the Francophone green party Ecolo.
“Wearing a headscarf must remain a guaranteed individual freedom, but the neutrality of the state must not be questioned in order to satisfy the communitarianism of parties that want to charm voters,” Bouchez said on Twitter.
“It is no problem at all to wear the headscarf freely,” he added, “but need we remind you that in certain families or certain countries, a headscarf is a means of dominating women?”
“What must a woman who has fled an Islamic regime think when she sees that the Belgian state is not represented neutrally in such an institution?” Bouchez added. “In certain positions, you have to choose: either you are a referee, or you are a player.”
According to the cabinet of Sarah Schlitz, who is the State Secretary for equal opportunities, gender equality and diversity, and appointed Haouach, the principles are not being flouted, and the decision was not motivated by electoral reasons.
“The Government Commissioner has been appointed through the appropriate procedures,” political director Jessika Soors told De Standaard. “She is not an employee of the federal government, so a possible ban on wearing religious signs does not apply.”
Additionally, she stressed that Haouach is the right person in the right place. “She has earned her stripes and gained experience in important companies in the private sector and in the association life, which makes her the right candidate for the job.”
“She was chosen based on her competencies, not on what she looks like,” Soors said, adding that if Haouach had been refused for wearing religious symbols, that would have been discriminatory.
“We regret that Bouchez and others assume that someone wearing a headscarf does not have the right skills to fulfil this mandate,” she added.
The debate surrounding headscarves is also causing friction in the Brussels regional government, following the decision by the Brussels public transport company STIB not to appeal a court conviction for discrimination for refusing a job applicant wearing a headscarf.
This decision paves the way for an abolishment of the existing ban on head coverings that signal religious, political or philosophical beliefs, something which has been discussed at length in the past in both Brussels and Belgium, with no real solutions or compromises found.

  9. Switzerland: WHO warns of “thriving” coronavirus as global death toll hits 4 million

The World Health Organisation announced the global death toll of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic had surpassed four million at a press conference in Geneva Wednesday.

“We have just passed the tragic milestone of four million recorded COVID-19 deaths, which likely underestimates the overall toll,” said WHO Director-General Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.

“Compounded by fast-moving variants and shocking inequity in vaccination, far too many countries in every region of the world are seeing sharp spikes in cases and hospitalisation,” added Ghebreyesus, saying this was “driving a wave of death in parts of Africa, Asia and Latin America.”

Ghebreyesus added, “vaccine nationalism, where a handful of nations have taken the lion’s share, is morally indefensible and an ineffective public health strategy against a respiratory virus that is mutating quickly and becoming increasingly effective at moving from human-to-human.”

Dr Mike Ryan, Executive Director of the WHO Health Emergencies Programme, urged countries to exercise caution with relaxing restrictions.

“I would urge extreme caution in the complete lifting of public health and social measures at this time because there are consequences for that,” said Ryan.

Dr Maria Van Kerkhove, the WHO Health Emergencies Programme’s technical lead, also warned that the virus was ‘thriving.’

“The virus is mutating. It is changing. Even the Delta variant itself is mutating and it will continue to do so. We still have the upper hand. Let’s use the tools that we have to keep transmission down. Drive down transmission and really be smart,” Kerkhove advised.

  10. After protests, Iran’s President apologises over power blackouts

Massive power outages in Iran during a heatwave have drawn widespread criticism and triggered street protests. Officials have blamed the blackouts on surging demand for power, along with low rainfall cutting hydroelectric output and illegal cryptocurrency mining farms accessing subsidized electricity. Protests turned political in some areas, with people chanting “Death to the dictator” and “Death to (Supreme Leader) Khamenei,” according to videos posted on social media.

    • Seth J. Frantzman:
Iran power outage crisis leads politicians to slam their own policy

This unprecedented overt critique about the country’s problems apparently reveals the depth of the problem and Iran is not alone.

Power outages are causing disruptions across Iran. Demand far outweighs supply and the shortfall is 11 gigawatts daily. Things are so bad that a clock in Iran that “counts down” to Israel’s destruction has reportedly stopped due to the outages.

According to UK-based Iran International, “large parts of the Iranian capital Tehran and Karaj, a city west of Tehran, as well as other cities, were plunged into darkness Saturday night to early Sunday as a result of unannounced power cuts.”

  11. Man arrested on hate crime charges during Israel-Palestine protests

A Staten Island man was arrested on hate crime charges Wednesday for allegedly throwing a firework at a woman from a pickup truck in Manhattan’s Diamond District during pro-Israel and pro-Palestinian protests, police said.

The NYPD said on Twitter that Mohammed Othman, 24, was arrested for hurling a firework that struck a 55-year-old woman from the back of a pickup truck on May 20, cops said.

The woman was treated at Bellevue Hospital for burns to her lower back and released, cops said.

Police said Othman was also charged with two other incidents from the same protest.

He was hit with first-degree gang assault as a hate crime, third-degree assault as a hate crime and second-degree reckless endangerment as a hate crime, cops said.

Othman has at least six prior arrests. He was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana in 2016, criminal possession of marijuana in 2017, possession of a forged instrument in 2019 and domestic violence with strangulation in 2020.

  12. Hamas is freeing Israel of its Gaza albatross

Analysis: When the terror group that rules the coastal enclave fired rockets at Jerusalem in May, it never imagined it would lead to Israel relieving itself of all responsibility for the wellbeing of the Palestinians in the Strip, ending advanced plans for better power and water infrastructure and for new fish farms

The single most important non-military achievement of the fighting in the Gaza Strip in May is Egypt taking more responsibility for the enclave’s economy.

The more Israel distances itself from the entry of goods and money to rehabilitate the Strip, the more Egypt finds itself – against its will – more deeply involved in its management.
For years, Cairo determinedly avoided any responsibility for Gaza, opting instead for the less fraught position of regional mediator.

But now, with the momentum created thanks to Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar’s political short-sightedness, Israel might finally be able to free itself from the duty of care for Gaza’s residents.

For when Sinwar gave the order to fire rockets at Jerusalem on May10, he failed to predict that this would lead to a fundamental shift in Israeli policy on Gaza….

Israel’s defense establishment made a recommendation to the politicians to change course on benefits for Hamas. All agreements were canceled and the drawbridge went up.

What was, is no more, Israeli officials repeated during the fighting. The true meaning of that is now clear.

In talks held in Cairo last week, Israel prioritized the return of two Israeli captives and the bodies of two fallen soldiers held by Hamas as a prerequisite for rehabilitation of Gaza, knowing full well that the terror group would oppose this.

But this was merely a ruse. Israel has made it clear to Hamas that there are no more deals to be made….
Unless the dubious coalition govt folds to pressure from the demonrat govt of the USA.

  13. Israel’s Critics are Repulsed by Jewish Sovereignty and Military Power
Many in the Christian and Muslim world are repulsed by the idea of Jews having sovereignty and wielding military power, for reasons that are ultimately anti-Semitic.

Traditional Catholic theology posited that Jews were doomed to wander the earth, stateless and homeless, as punishment for rejecting Jesus. To see the Jews exercising dominion over Christians and Muslims in the Holy Land is a hard theological pill to swallow.

While the Church has largely come around, many traditionalist Christians have not. More liberal Christian theologies remain wedded to the notion that martyrdom is the highest form of virtue. Jews refusing to be victims is, ironically, seen as a betrayal of Christian ideals.

In the Muslim world, the dominant narrative is that Mohammed, after showing his military prowess by massacring local Arabian Jewish tribes, beneficently allowed Jews to live peacefully under Muslim sovereignty. Muslims, as the Divinely-favored religious group, would always rule over Jews and not vice versa.

To see a Jewish army consistently defeating Muslim opponents destabilizes many Muslims’ worldview. Moreover, just as Mohammed expanded his empire throughout the Middle East and North Africa, Muslims assume that Judaism is expansionist like Islam, which of course misunderstands Zionism and Judaism.

Finally, it bears noting that anti-Israel ideas did not arise spontaneously, but are products in part of state-sponsored anti-Semitic campaigns run over decades by the Vatican, Czarist Russia, Nazi Germany, the USSR, and various Arab and Muslim states. Young anti-Zionists today repeat slogans from Soviet propaganda of fifty years ago without even being aware of their provenance.

Thus, criticism of Israel’s use of military force cannot easily be reduced by Israel “behaving” differently. It’s not how Israel uses force that is the primary source of criticism, but ideologically-based repulsion at Jews exercising military power via their sovereign state, at all.

  14. How Ireland can contribute to Israeli-Palestinian resolution – opinion

…The Irish government and parliament’s obsessive, selectively critical, hostile anti-Israeli narrative is economical with the truth, displays little honesty and entirely lacks respect.

[D]emonization and delegitimization of Israel lends international credibility to the malign narratives of Iran, Syria, Turkey, Hamas, Hizbullah, and Islamic Jihad….

[T]he Irish government needs to correct its multiple failures to critically address Palestinian violation of Israelis’ and Palestinians’ human rights….
    It’s all RUBBISH.
Ireland doesn’t care about “Palestinians”. Their mission remains extermination of Jews. Allies of the Nazis, but never purged by denazification.

  15. America blindly trusting two Jesuits to lead our nation through the coronavirus pandemic.
April 7, 2020 9:45 AM By James Bailey

The alarms should have been sounding in our schools, but they have also been silenced because we removed the Bible and prayer, making it illegal to teach the truth about God and history, so we have not heard about the dangers of an evil organization that has been expelled from over 83 nations over the past five centuries due to their unceasing treasonous, lying, murderous plots. We have not heard about how they have been responsible for the murders of hundreds of millions of people through wars, famines, diseases and murders. They are called the Society of Jesus, better known as the Jesuits, and they are now in charge of our federal government’s coronavirus campaign from their leadership positions within our leading health organizations.

Most Jesuits are not priests, just willing helpers, called coadjutors, who have been indoctrinated at Jesuit schools and universities where they are trained for their roles in advancing Jesuit schemes. The two primary agencies overseeing the coronavirus pandemic in the United States are both headed by Jesuit trained coadjutors, Dr. Anthony Fauci is director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and Robert R. Redfield is the leader of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), which is the leading national public health institute in the United States. ………

Despite having a long history of controversial public health actions, he was appointed to his position as director of the CDC in 2018 by another Jesuit trained government leader, President Donald Trump, alumni of Fordham University, the oldest Jesuit University in the northeastern United States.

And Biden is Jesuit trained also. hegelian dialetic?

[Wherever] a totalitarian movement erupts, whether Communist or Nazi [Fascist], a Jesuit can be found in the role of ‘adviser’ or leader; in Cuba [it was] [Jesuit-trained] Castro’s ‘Father’ Armando Llorente…”
      – Emanuel M. Josephson (American physician and historian)

“[The Jesuits] are the deadly enemies of civil and religious liberty.”
      – R. W. Thompson (Ex-Secretary, American Navy)

“The principles of socialism or communism…governed all the [Jesuit-run] Reductions [in Paraguay].”
      – R. W. Thompson, Ex-Secretary, American Navy

“The whole frightful responsibility for this terrible Thirty Years’ War [1618-1648] must rest upon the [Holy Roman] Emperor Ferdinand II, and his teachers, rulers, and bosom friends – the Sons of Loyola [i.e., the Jesuit Order].”
      – Theodor Griesinger (German historian; 1873)

“The Jesuit Order at last reached the pinnacle of its power and prestige in the early eighteenth century [i.e., the early 1700s]. It had become more influential and more wealthy than any other organization in the world. It held a position in world affairs that no oath-bound group of men has ever held before or since… ‘Nearly all the Kings and Sovereigns of Europe had only Jesuits as directors of their consciences [i.e., as confessor-priests], so that the whole of Europe appeared to be governed by Jesuits only.’” (1927; using a short quote by Jesuit Cordara)
      – Boyd Barrett (Ex-Jesuit)

“The Society of Jesus [i.e., the Jesuit Order] is the enemy of man. The whole human race should unite for its overthrow. …For there is no alternative between its total extirpation, and the absolute corruption and degradation of mankind.”
      – Robert J. Breckinridge (author)

“The Jesuits…are simply the Romish army for the earthly sovereignty of the world in the future, with the Pontiff of Rome for emperor…that’s their ideal. …It is simple lust of power, of filthy earthly gain, of domination – something like a universal serfdom with them [i.e., the Jesuits] as masters – that’s all they stand for. They don’t even believe in God perhaps.”
      – Fyodor Dostoyevsky (1821-1881; famous Russian novelist)

“Never before in the course of the world’s history had such a Society [i.e., the Jesuit Order] appeared. The old Roman Senate itself did not lay schemes for world domination with greater certainty of success.” (1800)
      – Friedrich von Hardenberg (German philosopher)

“They [i.e., the Jesuits] have so constantly mixed themselves up in court and state intrigues that they must, in justice, be reproached with striving after world dominion. They cost kings their lives, not on the scaffold, but by assassination, and equally hurtful as the society of Illuminati; they were the foremost among the crowd, at all events, who applauded the murder scenes in Paris [during the French Revolution].”
      – Hector Macpherson (Author of the book The Jesuits in History)

“[Jesuit Adam] Weishaupt established the [modern version of the] Illuminati specifically to be a front organization behind which the Jesuits could hide. After being [formally] abolished by [Pope] Clement XIV in 1773, the Jesuits used the Illuminati and other organizations to carry out their operations. Thus, the front organizations would be blamed for the trouble caused by the Jesuits.”

  16. Conference: 2021 Gaza War and the reactions in Europe

Senator Matteo Salvini, the leader of the Italian League Party, said he would distribute the text of the Hamas Charter to members of the Italian Parliament and the European Parliament so that they would understand its intentions in its war against Israel and its ambition to spread Islam around the world….

…Hungary’s ambassador to Israel… condemned Hamas’ firing of rockets at Israel, stressing that Hungary backed Israel’s right to defend itself and that Hungary had blocked the EU’s joint declaration against Israel during the military operation.

The Hungarian ambassador confirmed that Hungary would also boycott this year’s Durban Conference….

  17. AFP EXCLUSIVE: French teen harassed for Islam rants meets with rector of Paris’ main mosque

Mila, a French teen harassed online over a series of social media rants on Islam, meets with the rector of the Paris Grande Mosquée, Chems-Eddine Hafiz, who gives her a Quran.

On Wednesday 11 people were convicted of harassing her. Some of the messages she received were death threats.

  18. Bennett pushes back at US over razing of Tapuach Junction terrorist home

Prime Minister Naftali Bennett pushed back at the United States over its condemnation of Israel’s policy of demolishing the homes of Palestinians who are charged and or convicted for terror attacks that claim lives.

“The Prime Minister appreciates and respects the US.… At the same time, [the Prime Minister] acts solely in accordance with security considerations of the State of Israel and need to protection of the lives of Israeli citizens.”

It spoke up just hours after the US embassy in Jerusalem slammed the IDF razing of the West Bank family home of Muntasir Shalabi early Thursday morning. Shalabi has been indicted for killing Yehuda Guetta, 19….

“The home of an entire family should not be demolished for the actions of one individual…

“We believe it is critical for all parties to refrain from unilateral steps that exacerbate tensions and undercut efforts to advance a negotiated two-state solution; this certainly includes the punitive demolition of Palestinian homes….”

"We" equate a terrorist murderer with the High Court of Israel. These two parties represent the two states "We" advance as a "Solution" for the Jewish Israeli Problem.

Bennett’s exchange with the US is his most serious point of discord since his government was sworn in last month. It comes as Bennett is preparing for his first visit to the White House this summer….

The High Court of Justice had rejected a petition against the demolition as well as a subsequent appeal, filed by the left-wing NGO HaMoked. It had argued that the structure was not Shalabi’s primary home, but rather that of his estranged wife from whom he separated years ago.

“This was the only home of a woman who had effectively separated from the suspect years ago, while he lived most of the time with his other wives and children in homes he owned in the United States…”

    • This is why I keep saying that the Chinese economy is shaky and close to collapse, China doesn’t have hte internal purchasing power to be a consumption economy. Combine this with their bad debt crisis they are headed towards a major economic crisis that will lead to an economic collapse. Xi has stated (many times) that the CCP isn’t going to go down peacefully but will try and spread the misery.

  20. Comparison of Israeli and Russian announcements of Bennett-Putin conversation
It is remarkable how different two versions of the same diplomatic event can be. Op-ed.

    #1 Israeli announcement
Prime Minister Bennett thanked President Putin for his congratulations on forming a government in Israel and expressed his appreciation for the historic bond between the Russian and Jewish peoples.

The leaders discussed several security and diplomatic issues; the Prime Minister thanked the Russian President for the role his country is playing in maintaining regional stability and for the assistance on the issue of the captives and the missing.

The two also discussed the role of Russian aliyah in Israel and the great importance that the Prime Minister ascribes to it as a bridge between the two countries.

Prime Minister Bennett and President Putin agreed to meet soon.

    #2 Russian announcement
Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Prime Minister of the State of Israel Naftali Bennett, at the latter’s initiative.

The discussion focused on topical issues of bilateral cooperation in politics, trade and economic, and humanitarian affairs.

Special attention was paid to preserving the historical memory of the Great Patriotic War, preventing any attempts to review its outcome, to glorify Nazism, to deny the Holocaust and the Red Army’s decisive contribution to Victory.

Vladimir Putin and Naftali Bennett also discussed measures being taken in Russia and Israel to counter COVID-19.

They also covered a number of issues on the regional agenda.

Vladimir Putin wished Naftali Bennett every success as Prime Minister. Both leaders expressed their mutual intention to develop the entire scope of friendly relations between Russia and Israel and agreed to maintain further contacts.
Putin’s team sounds terribly insecure! Looking backward instead of toward the future. It seems written not for domestic consumption (every Russian knows this history), but for Russian-speakers in certain places. Poland, Ukraine, Hungary, etc.

  21. Xi Jinping Is Mobilizing China for War, Possibly With Nukes

China’s President Xi Jinping, while spouting tianxia-like language and bellicose words, has been getting the Chinese people ready for war. The changes signal the growing clout of the People’s Army inside the Party and highlight the militarization of the country’s external relations. China is fast becoming a military state. 22. 4 Ethics-Breaking Biological Experiments Touted By Chinese Scientists as ‘World Firsts’

Throughout the world, scientific research and experiments involving ethical issues must first pass the scrutiny of ethics committees. In recent years, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has conducted many experiments in the field of biomedical and genetic engineering that break human ethical boundaries.

China began implementing the Ethical Review of Biomedical Research Involving Humans on Dec. 1, 2016. However, 122 Chinese scientists who co-signed an open letter in 2018 to oppose gene-edited babies criticized China’s biomedical ethics review as a “sham.”

  23. What Is China Doing?
    Pete Hoekstra
    5-7 minutes

What does China want the narrative to be? The ideal outcome would be that the virus originated outside of China… There is one outcome that would be unacceptable to the Chinese Communist Party: China will do almost anything to keep the U.S. from concluding that the virus was developed in the Wuhan Institute of Virology. On May 26, 2021, President Joe Biden announced that he had asked the U.S. intelligence community to redouble its efforts to determine the origins of the COVID-19 virus. The U.S. findings are expected in about 90 days. So now we know what the Biden administration is doing, but what will the Chinese government, or the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), do? In light of China’s obfuscation so far, it is absurd to imagine that it will be cooperating with the U.S. investigation. Neither will it be sitting idly by waiting to learn of the U.S. intelligence community’s conclusions. Instead, the CCP will be doing everything it can to shape the report and ensure that the findings will be released in a context saturated by Chinese propaganda.

  24. Rabbi takes on sizzling question: Is lab-grown pork kosher?

According to most interpretations of Jewish dietary laws, pigs are not kosher. But since Jewish law does not consider lab-grown meat as originating from a living animal, the normal rules of kosher slaughter might not apply. Also, if it is not considered meat, can it be eaten with dairy products despite the Halachic prohibition?

    [T]here are several key questions….
The first… was whether “Jewish law permits eating cultured meat despite the fact that the cells were taken from a living animal, one that has not been slaughtered yet.”

[I]f one assumes it does, “we then have to ask whether such meat, which is not considered as originating from a living animal, would be permissible to grow from non-kosher animals, such as swine.”

Opinions on the matter differ, but Stav insists that “despite the fact that the meat was grown in a laboratory, Jewish law considers it proper meat, and it will therefore be forbidden to eat it with dairy.

“Therefore, in such a case, meaning because the meat is defined in Jewish law as actual meat, all laws, except for shechitah [kosher slaughter], will apply to it, and therefore cultured pork will not be permitted for consumption according to Jewish law.”
I don’t eat meat anyway. Simplifies life in the secular world. Which is FAR too confusing as it is.
