Reader’s Links for May 22, 2021

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

    Generation Z: Stalin’s little helpers
    Alexandra Marshall
    11 May 2021
Gen Z are the source of Cancel Culture. They are the generation that pride themselves on a heightened state of moral purity which they advertise by engaging in an arms race of silence, employing ever more sophisticated attacks on their peers with the express purpose of making people disappear.

Their antics have turned 2021 into a crucible of social fear that make the mannerisms and conventions of 18th Century England look like a debauched Roman orgy. It is no longer enough to passively accept the new activist agenda, citizens must actively affirm the radical fringe or risk being hounded out of their jobs by similarly terrified people – none of whom actually believe in the dogma of the minority.

While pretending to fight against oppression in public, in private Gen Z are the ones who get an emotional kick out of silencing people they do not like. It is the consequence of a life lived without achievement or discipline. Having no pride in their own work, they seek gratification from the cheapest possible activity – bullying. It is not entirely their fault. They have completed their education with no debating skills, no patience, no ethics, and no maturity – it is no surprise that their way of engaging with the world is so primitive.

Many people put this behaviour down to bad parenting, but it probably has more to do with years of indoctrination within the school system, which has focused on turning children into Marxist activists instead of intelligent young people. In a way, it is a cult of narcissism where children are taught that they are the most important thing in the world. Only their ideas matter and only their words deserve protection.

‘Children are raised by the village’.

It is the standard Marxist response to concerned parents and a deliberate misreading of human social reality. While it is true that many members of civilisation assist in the upbringing of children, it is not true that they usurp the role of parents as the dominant influence in a child’s life. ‘Raised by the village’ is a polite way of saying, ‘raised by the state’ – a far less palatable reality for anyone who remembers the Communist and Socialist nations who fashioned children into tools of war.

Children raised by the state lose the essential framework of social responsibility to their family and instead serve the interests of politicians and political movements above their loved ones. The state does not love anything except itself creating an unbalanced, cruel affection in which citizens are locked into emotional slavery with a bureaucracy that diligently plots their death.

Democracies were originally founded by the coalition of influential families who held more power than the state. This meant that politicians could not form a dictatorship against the unified interest of families. It was a similar situation to the nobles and lords of Europe, whose favour royals had to court in order to maintain their rule. The architects of collectivist regimes have read their history. Removing the influence of parents while subtly starting an ageist class divide through youth activist movements has brought the West the bones of collectivism by stealth.

With the family structure in decline, they turned their attention to dismantling equality under the law. True equality relies on individualism, while any kind of class warfare has to reduce individuals to warring collectives who seek ‘collective justice’ through the persecution of innocent people. For example, you cannot accuse white people living today of historic injustices because as individuals, they have done nothing wrong. In a truly fair justice system, there is no case to answer.

Instead, collectivist movements reduce individuals to a single attribute and then assign guilt based upon the actions of any individual within the history of that collective. It easy to use this lie to incite the anger of the mob to either oppress the group or exploit money from them. The same is true with modern gender politics which demonise all men to promote the careers of activist women.

Political systems evolve in the same way as biological ecosystems. If society rewards predatory activism, it will become the dominant state of politics in the West, while liberty and equality die off in the fringes of their declining habitat.

What Gen Z call ‘Social Justice’ is really just another name for the persecution of innocent people by criminals. It is a return to the days of witch-burning, Chinese whispers, and political executions that used to be popular in the Dark Ages. Ruthless individuals — be they CEOs or politicians — are happy to mobilise the useless idiots of the world in order to subvert the safeguards of democracy.

Greta Thunburg is a perfect example of malicious activism where one of the world’s most powerful alliances between bureaucracy and business has solicited the use of a young girl. Because Greta was, until recently, a child with a mental illness, the ideas that she voiced on the public stage could not be attacked due to the social hesitancy of criticising children. It does not matter that her words were a script prepared by others. Her innocent lips and sad eyes fenced off dangerous ideas from the crowd.

Hitler and Mao employed identical tactics during their regimes. Yu Xiangzhen was thirteen when she became one of Mao’s ‘little generals’. These were the children indoctrinated from birth, taken from their families and raised by the State to worship Chairman Mao.

“We became Red Guards – we all shared the belief that we would die to protect Chairman Mao,” Yu says. “Even though it might be dangerous, that was absolutely what we had to do. Everything I had been taught told me that Chairman Mao was closer to us than our mums and dads. Without Chairman Mao, we would have nothing.”

Despite the terror and fear she both inflicted and suffered at the hands of the murderous revolution, Yu still supports the Communist Party which shows how deep devotion goes if it is beaten into young children during their formative years.

Lenin and Stalin perfected the cult of childhood Communism, manipulating Russian society with the fantasy of innocence – duct-taping a halo onto the regime’s barbarity in the process. Dividing children along political lines accentuated the desperately sought after class divide required to justify the horrors of the dictatorship. Hitler’s National Socialist Party also relied heavily on the radicalisation of children. While the Hitler Youth and other children’s groups were mandatory in the later years of the regime, they were already wildly popular on a voluntary basis.

The idea was to create a grassroots community feel – a pack mentality among the young that their ideas are ‘right’ because they formed part of an obvious ‘consensus’ that was never challenged. All of today’s activist movements are comprised of corporate empires hiding behind children. They are used as fodder at protests when they should be in school. Big Tech plaster them all over promotional material in the hope that parents will be spurred on by their genetic instinct to protect children rather than looking through them to the monstrous political machine in the background.

It is worth pointing out that most of humanity’s worst ideas were enabled through the argument of ‘consensus’ even though consensus has no basis in truth or fact. Plenty of popular ideas are wrong and most of history’s scientific certainties have since been scrapped. Indeed, there is no consensus less reliable than the consensus of indoctrinated children.

The one truth which remains constant is that you have to start with children in order to create a generation of adults prepared to kill their friends and family in the name of a political leader. For those who think that there is no possibility of that happening in the West, remember that children do not begin as murderers. Their violence evolves from ideologically intolerant packs that verbally abuse their peers. To them, censorship is a game that rewards them with social credit points. They cheer each other on, climbing up imaginary social ladders in the same way that armies hand out ranks, all while being protected by Silicon Valley’s lopsided sense of ‘justice’.

In time, this will escalate to a ‘Lord of the Flies’ scenario.

We have already seen the youth of Extinction Rebellion, Antifa, and Black Lives Matter send death threats to their peers. They fantasise in the open about murdering those who oppose their view of the world. Antifa rallies have seriously injured people. Black Lives Matter riots have killed people and destroyed property. Extinction Rebellion has spawned the ‘Climate Justice’ movement that has reached all the way to the top of the Democrat Party where congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has talked about keeping lists of citizens who disagreed with their climate politics so that they can be put on trial and punished later. It is no coincidence that she was also a member of the Democratic Socialists of America.

If you think none of this matters because ‘it’s just social media’ remember that in a few short years, these kids will be the individuals running the world’s major corporations and sitting in the houses of Parliament. When a generation is allowed to engage in this sort of degenerate behaviour, it entrenches in their psyche and manifests into something much darker in their adult years. It is how you end up with governments led by irrational toddlers who use their power to murder millions in pursuit of the Socialist Utopia.

    2275 cases Bell’s Palsy

Of the 1100 plus pregnancy with reactions there have been 315 miscarriages and premature deaths.

Please, Please anyone with any adverse reaction report to VARES the US Government website, or the Children’s Health Defense Team.

Ask the Red Cross if they want vaccinated people’s blood.

    • Thanks to P.C. for previously pointing out the Red Cross’s caution in accepting bloog for anyone who has recently had a vaccine, with current times ranging by vaccine to at least 3 months. The Red Cross has not yet established the wait time for the Covid vaccine.

Indeed, if you look at previous Red Cross blood donation protocols, you’ll find lifetime rule-outs for those who have had cancer treatments using radiation and chemotherapy, as well as those *at risk* for AIDS and Mad Cow disease — the latter, as I recall, at least at one time in the US, consisted of anyone who had been in England in particular years n the 1980s!

Why assign importance to transient Red Cross protocols when there are stronger arguments to support interpreting the risk assessment data for this vaccine?

      • Three healthy people in a long term care home received the vaccine, all died from COVID within weeks. Why were their deaths listed as COVID?

        • If you are going to start asking questions like that, it may lead to a lack of total belief and faith in the Canadian government. And that, dear friend, makes you a white supremacist and anti-government extremist don’t ya know.

  3. Last night I watched a Netflix documentary about some Hungarian holocaust survivors. I found the beginning most poignant. The account about the incremental creep of the approaching tyranny resonates loudly and clearly. Dismissing each new stage of state control as nothing to be concerned about is being repeated. “–Two weeks to flatten the curve,” is but one modern lie echoing this historical deviousness.

“…Someone planned this…” recounts one of the survivors at one point. Indeed. This profound statement drills into today’s hidden hand, as well. It also spurs conspiracy theories and wild goose chases. However without such a statement no person can even begin to reveal the forces that want to use him, or hurt him.

“…Someone planned this…” seems such a screamingly obvious statement when spoken by a holocaust survivor. Of course it was planned! But then so many observers today look at the deliberate moves that have been taken by governments before our eyes, see the incongruous developments, see every ounce of oddities accounted by VTB readers and contributors, then shrug it all off as nothing to worry about. Why? How? Clearly, one man’s obvious is another man’s goose chase. Or more succinctly, one man’s news is another man’s propaganda. Imagine being a kid these days trying to understand this world.

And so it is to credit Eeyore’s intellectual honesty that he thinks hard on honesty. Honesty is one of those things that begins to sublimate the more one dwells on it, so it’s best left in its natural, undisturbed state. Honesty also becomes harder to see when it is Autumn ground covered by fallen little Maple lies. Canada, the symbol on its flag a Maple leaf, has really fallen into its dystopian disgrace. Ontario under Premier Ford seems particularly harsh. Dystopia’s first post-national Dear Leader is another gem of a weakling using a spine borrowed from his crazy mommy.

If Dystopia’s own elected douche-bags stood as an anomaly on the world stage we could argue it as a bad but ephemeral era in the country’s history. But when Leftists lead in lockstep the world over I am compelled to say, “someone planned this.”

    • Ironic that the trash source of that is the one MSM chamber pot that has done its utmost to recreate the Holocaust and encourage the flood of lunatic, socialist idealists and their consequent damage upon the west.
I think that I have been banned there for some 20 years although no comments anymore(I wonder why?)

I am yet to see any movie or documentary that really shows the true horrors of the Holocaust (which although primarily Jewish also took some 4 million Poles and several million soviet POWs with it). My library of survivor and perpetrator accounts is close to 40 books and until you read them all no one can imagine the horrors. (The bookshop at Auschwitz has some good publications last time I was there).

Even Schindler’s List was about a work camp with one brief stopover in Auschwitz-Birkenau. The Grey Zone tries as does Son of Saul but both just show a hint of the reality. It direly needs a real masterpiece with a warning not to eat before or during the showing.

I was 10 when I read “The Scourge of the Swastika” which pretty much removed god for me.
In my darkest times I could always pull myself up by realizing that I am not yet a slave, a zek or a KL inmate.
But now with islam and communism rampant how many will be able to say that in the future.

      • Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl was the book for me. And it wasn’t even meant to be a Holocaust book. Maybe that is what made it so effective.

And I have met several survivors and heard the stories in detail.

        • A must read is Masters of Death by Michael Rhodes which covers the Einsatzgruppen and the psychological devastation inflicted upon the perpetrators most of whom had had a Christian upbringing and despite the “greater good” indoctrination they had undergone, the sense of wrong still leaked through with drug addiction, alcoholism , suicide and psychotic episodes common.
Contrast this to muslims who saw off an infidel head then boast about it at home over the meal.
It was the stress of the individual killings that forced the use of gas chambers where only the Sonderkommando and those who tipped in the Cyklon B pellets were involved.
I met several exKL inmates (all women) and several exSS. One of the latter was incredibly ashamed of his past despite being a frontline soldier totally and he used an alias to serve in Korea as an atonement ( the giveaway was the scar in his armpit).

I have that book, (somewhere) but never read it as my only real interest in psychology was in those strange abilities that some possess and Koestler’s writings on creativity. But I must correct that : )

        • Don’t get swallowed by the pit of memory for dead Jews when there are plenty of living Jews in or from Iran, Israel, Africa, Europe, and the US and Argentina who want to join arms with their non-Jewish supporters to defend against the Mufti’s legacy. Living Jews have synagogues, cultural and sport centers, and a state; dead Jews have Masada and Holocaust Memorial Museums.

          • Those 6 million Jews bought Israel as only the guilt felt by the west gave its birth the support it needed in 1948. Always remember that!
Jews have already paid the price for Israel and should not have to bargain with anyone.

    • I have little respect for the Law and those who now ruin it but surely “precrime” as a concept is illegal, unlawful and illogical? It is just another example of rampant population control as it would mean that no one is safe as you can be accused of wrong think eventually.

The Rojansky Gambit will now prepare us for repaired relations with Russia

    France 24 video, YouTube

Remember that time when a man named Rojansky was unfairly accused of being “on the Kremlin’s payroll,” and being anti-Ukrainian, when the Obama administration was considering him for a National Security Council post?

Yeah, neither does anyone else. It’s not even worth looking up the history on it; Mr. Rojansky had robust defenders at the time, and I, for one, am going to take their word for it and move on.

The point here is that Team “Biden” apparently thinks it’s time to make up with Russia. So a narrative is now being placed, one random bone at a time, to contextualize a move that — given the fevered view of Russia fostered by the media and Democrats over the last five years — might be thought hard to account for.

One person has been killed and four others taken to hospital after a man armed with a knife carried out a string of random attacks in the Amsterdam district of De Pijp.

The stabbings took place shortly after 11pm and, according to the police statement, ‘it quickly became clear they had been carried out by the same person.’

Police have arrested a 29-year-old man from Amstelveen as ‘the only suspect’ and say there is no direct indication that he had a terrorist motive for carrying out the attacks.

Nevertheless, all options remain open, police said.

All the stabbings took place on, or close to, the Ferdinand Bolstraat and public transport services have been diverted.

No information has been released about the condition of the four people in hospital.

    • BREITBART – W.H.O.: True Coronavirus Death Toll May Be Three Times Higher than Reported

Official death tolls from the coronavirus pandemic are probably a “significant undercount” and the true number of fatalities could be “two to three times higher,” the World Health Organization (W.H.O.) said Friday.

Since the current official W.H.O. projection of deaths worldwide is about 3.4 million, “6 to 8 million deaths could be an estimate on a cautionary note,” W.H.O. Assistant Director-General for data and analytics Dr. Samira Asma said.[…]

[…]The implication, as summarized by the New York Times (NYT), was that the “huge discrepancy between the W.H.O.’s estimates and official data underscores the limited capacity of many countries to test their populations for the coronavirus and other weaknesses in official health data” rather than deliberate falsification, and the solution is to spend more money on reporting systems.

“The W.H.O. will present its statistics to the annual meeting of its policymaking assembly in Geneva next week. The numbers will help make the case for countries to invest urgently in bolstering data systems and their capacity to monitor and report health developments,” the NYT reported.

WHO finds global COVID-19 death count is double official records

The WHO has revealed that the real number of coronavirus deaths is about 6 to 8 million, instead of the current 3.4 million.

    • Deutsche Pravda – Will Brazil’s homegrown COVID vaccine end Bolsonaro’s presidency?

The coronavirus pandemic has hit Brazil harder than most countries.

Over 441,000 people there have now died from COVID-19 – the second worst death toll in the world.

The country is also struggling to implement an effective vaccination campaign to finally get a grip on the pandemic.

One solution that could provide relief in the coming months is the development of homegrown vaccines, like the one from the Butantan Institute.

DW reporter Anne-Sophie Brändlin went to Brazil’s largest city, Sao Paulo, to meet the researchers working on one of them, ButanVac, and look at the science behind it.

Human trials haven’t started yet, but results so far are promising.

That’s not only good news for the people of the country – it could help João Doria, São Paulo Governor and the man expected to challenge Jair Bolsonaro for the presidency in next year’s election.

  7. Report: USPS ‘Internet Covert Operations Program’ Is ‘Much Broader in Scope Than Previously Known’

The program ‘includes analysts who assume fake identities online, use sophisticated intelligence tools, and employ facial recognition software.”

Last month, Yahoo News ripped the lid off of a government surveillance program run by a division of the USPS. The program monitors, scans, and collects information on social media postings considered “inflammatory” enough to pass along to other government agencies. It includes posts promoting the coordination and planning of upcoming political demonstrations.

The program’s existence came out after the news outlet obtained a copy of a March USPS bulletin that was “distributed through the Department of Homeland Security’s fusion centers.” It warned of the possibility of violence at upcoming protests though they acknowledged they had no reliable intelligence to suggest any alleged threats were legitimate:

“Analysts with the United States Postal Inspection Service (USPIS) Internet Covert Operations Program (iCOP) monitored significant activity regarding planned protests occurring internationally and domestically on March 20, 2021,” says the March 16 government bulletin, marked as “law enforcement sensitive” and distributed through the Department of Homeland Security’s fusion centers. “Locations and times have been identified for these protests, which are being distributed online across multiple social media platforms, to include right-wing leaning Parler and Telegram accounts.”

“No intelligence is available to suggest the legitimacy of these threats,” it adds.

The bulletin includes screenshots of posts about the protests from Facebook, Parler, Telegram and other social media sites. Individuals mentioned by name include one alleged Proud Boy and several others whose identifying details were included but whose posts did not appear to contain anything threatening.

“iCOP analysts are currently monitoring these social media channels for any potential threats stemming from the scheduled protests and will disseminate intelligence updates as needed,” the bulletin says.

The report about the previously unknown iCOP sparked an outcry among Congressional Republicans. A House Oversight and Reform Committee hearing was held a week later where a USPS official confirmed its existence without going into a lot of detail:

USPS Chief Postal Inspector Gary Barksdale confirmed to lawmakers that the agency is running a shadowy operation dubbed the Internet Covert Operations Program, which tracks “inflammatory” posts on Facebook, Parler and other sites, Rep. Nancy Mace (R-South Carolina) told The Daily Mail.

Barksdale told the House Oversight and Reform Committee that the initiative has netted no arrests and will continue despite privacy concerns, which arose after the program was revealed publicly last week, the outlet reported.

Barksdale said the operation — which reports threatening posts to local and federal law enforcement — is overseen by a USPS executive. But he claimed it’s not a real “program” because it’s “incident-related,” not an ongoing initiative, according to the outlet.

This week, Yahoo News filed a new report detailing more information they’d learned about iCOP. The outlet noted that “the program is much broader in scope than previously known”:

Yet the program is much broader in scope than previously known and includes analysts who assume fake identities online, use sophisticated intelligence tools and employ facial recognition software, according to interviews and documents reviewed by Yahoo News.

Among the tools used by the analysts is Clearview AI, a facial recognition software that scrapes images off public websites, a practice that has raised the ire of privacy advocates. The U.S. Postal Inspection Service uses Clearview’s facial recognition database of over 3 billion images from arrest photos collected from across social media “to help identify unknown targets in an investigation or locate additional social media accounts for known individuals,” according to materials reviewed by Yahoo News.

According to the interviews and new documents reviewed by Yahoo News, the genesis of iCOP appears to date back to 2018, when the U.S. Postal Inspection Service expanded and rebranded its “cybercrime dark web” program into a broader covert operation.

“As the criminal use of the ‘Dark Web’ marketplaces has grown and affected investigative assignments across the agency, we are re-branding the program to encompass all online covert operations beyond ‘Dark Web’ marketplaces to include publicly accessible web sites and private sites,” says an internal description of the change.

Analysts with iCOP closely monitored social media postings once the Antifa/BLM-led protests and riots started after the death of George Floyd last year. Likewise, they closely tracked right-wing posts on Twitter, Parler, and other social media platforms after the Jan. 6th Capitol riots.

When asked to explain and defend the existence of the program, the USPS told Yahoo News in a statement that the goal of iCOP was to protect USPS employees and its infrastructure:

“The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is the primary law enforcement, crime prevention, and security arm of the U.S. Postal Service,” the statement said. “As such, the U.S. Postal Inspection Service has federal law enforcement officers, Postal Inspectors, who enforce approximately 200 federal laws to achieve the agency’s mission: protect the U.S. Postal Service and its employees, infrastructure, and customers; enforce the laws that defend the nation’s mail system from illegal or dangerous use; and ensure public trust in the mail.”

“The Internet Covert Operations Program is a function within the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, which assesses threats to Postal Service employees and its infrastructure by monitoring publicly available open source information,” the statement said.

Based on what is now known about the surveillance program, however, it would appear that iCOP’s scope has gone way beyond merely monitoring potential threats to employees and infrastructure and has understandably raised serious privacy concerns. Expect more hearings on this matter in the coming months, especially in light of the Democrat-led push to keep the “insurrection” narrative alive via umpteen overlapping Congressional “investigations” into the Capitol riots going into the 2022 elections.

    Stay tuned.

Joe Biden’s Russia Ties Just Slipped Out – Report Claims Russian Pipeline Lobbyist Donated To Joe’s Campaign

For years, Democrats questioned President Donald Trump’s alleged connections to Russia. This was an accusation that never seemed to disappear entirely during Trump’s term.

However, now people are starting to wonder: does current POTUS Joe Biden have a hand in Russian affairs? The most recent pipeline issue has caused Republicans to ask some tough questions.

And now, it seems a lobbyist for foreign partners helped Joe’s campaign.

If true, this might be a definite problem: just days after the Biden administration refused to sanction the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, we learn that one of the pipeline’s supporters donated to Biden’s cause.

President Joe Biden is moving to surrender to China U.S. patent and trade secret protections on America’s COVID-19 vaccines. Two of those vaccines, made by American-based Pfizer and Moderna, employ revolutionary mRNA technology.

Specifically, the Biden administration has agreed to support a request by India and South Africa for waivers that would permit members of the World Trade Organization to not enforce laws protecting patents and trade secrets covered under the Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights Agreement (TRIPs).

“This is a global health crisis, and the extraordinary circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic call for extraordinary measures,” declared U.S. Trade Representative Katherine Tai in a May 5 statement. “The Administration believes strongly in intellectual property protections, but in service of ending this pandemic, supports the waiver of those protections for COVID-19 vaccines.”

  13. CDC Investigating New Outbreaks of Salmonella Infections Linked to Backyard Poultry

    Media Statement

    Key points:

-CDC and public health officials in several states are investigating multistate outbreaks of Salmonella infections linked to contact with backyard poultry.
-There have been 163 people reported ill from 43 states.
-34 people were hospitalized. No deaths have been reported.
-The true number of sick people is likely much higher than the reported number, as many people recover without medical care and are not tested for Salmonella.
-One-third of sick people are young children under 5 years.
-Interviews with sick people show that contact with backyard poultry is the likely source of the outbreaks.
-Backyard poultry can carry Salmonella germs even if they look healthy and clean. These germs can easily spread in areas where they live and roam.
-Whether you are building your first coop or are a seasoned backyard poultry owner, know the risks of keeping poultry and the simple things you can do to stay healthy.

Steps to stay healthy around backyard poultry:

-Always wash your hands for 20 seconds after touching the flock or flock supplies.
-Keep flock and flock supplies outside the house to prevent spreading germs into your house.
-Don’t let children younger than 5 years touch the birds (including chicks and ducklings) or anything in the area where the birds live and roam.
-Don’t kiss or snuggle the birds, as this can spread germs to your mouth and make you sick.

    About Salmonella:

-Most people infected with Salmonella develop diarrhea, fever, and stomach cramps 6 hours to 6 days after being exposed to the bacteria.
-The illness usually lasts 4 to 7 days, and most people recover without treatment.
-In some people, the illness may be so severe that the patient is hospitalized.
-Children younger than 5, adults 65 and older, and people with weakened immune systems are more likely to have severe illness.
-If you have questions about cases in a particular state, please call that state’s health department.
