Reader’s Links for May 17, 2021

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

(Me: So, he had a very bad reaction after the first jab but he still took the second jab (the idiot) and this time, it was worse.)

Eric Clapton, 76, said he had a terrible reaction to the AstraZeneca Covid jab and blamed “propaganda” for overstating the safety of the experimental vaccine.

  2. “Shut-up.”
    “I said shut-up!”
    “I said I will not!”

The man sat in silence. His wife, dominant, felt her power slipping away. Never had he been so disobedient for so long. Now, her bags of tricks used up, she saw in him a look she had not seen for many years. When they first met almost thirty years ago he was confident, carrying just a hint of the swagger she so loved.

It was the swagger that drew her in, so it was the swagger that she ended. An independent man was dangerous. He thought for himself and was not reliant or dependent on her. She needed her husband on a short leash. No, she thought, this one will leave her high and dry the second he gets her number…

    • “Everyone wonders how ordinary Germans could have been manipulated to participate or stand dumbstruck while their government was transformed into a genocidal juggernaut. This is how. Read Sebastian Haffner’s Defying Hitler memoir to see how this can happen anywhere—including here.

Everyone wonders how Russians could have permitted and even zealously reported fellow citizens for imprisonment and execution under Article 58, the penal code invented to incarcerate anyone who dared express the slightest whisper of noncompliance under Stalin’s homicidal state. This is how. Read Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn’s meticulously documented The Gulag Archipelago to witness this progression of authoritarian lunacy.

Everyone wonders how Hutus could have suddenly started axing their Tutsi neighbors to death after being inundated with waves of anti-Tutsi propaganda from Radio Télévision Libre des Mille Collines. Read Philip Gourevitch’s We Wish to Inform You That Tomorrow We Will Be Killed with Our Families: Stories from Rwanda.

The list goes on. And on. And on. From Machiavelli’s The Prince to Étienne de la Boetie’s The Politics of Obedience: The Discourse of Voluntary Servitude to Edward Herman’s and Noam Chomsky’s Manufacturing Consent (and accompanying documentary) to BBC’s The Century of the Self, mechanisms of mass control have been chronicled for millennia.”

    • Did the communist(s) that set the fire consider that they could kill all occupants in the house? Of course.

      • Could the possibility of a police officer doing the deed be considered? You all remember the first time they left his church humiliated to the screams of “Nazis….”. That clip was widely viewed.

  3. “Trump Releases New Statement Saying There is No Way Biden Won the 2020 Presidential Election” by Cassandra Fairbanks – May 16, 2021

    by JB Williams – February 12, 2021

The real “pandemic” wasn’t COVID19. COVID19 (aka the SARS2 virus) was merely a diversion to take your attention away from the real killer, a stolen 2020 election and the end of the United States as you have ever known it. Focus the nation on FEAR for their health, and they won’t pay any attention to anything else. In fact, they will voluntarily do things you thought you would never see Americans do.

  4. From the Facebook page of the man from Iraq, living in London, Ontario, the Canadian leader of the terror group Hibz ut-Tharir. The hate filled Mazin Abdul-Adhim, who does not comply with the Kafir’s M-103, the motion introduced by a fellow Muslim MP, Iqra Khalid:

“If you believe that Al-Quds and the surrounding region will be saved by calling for a two-state solution, or calling for the US and UN or U-whatever intervention, or asking some MP or Prime Minister to “condemn” the zionist attack, or dreaming that the rulers of the Muslim lands will do anything to save us, or any solution other than the Khilafah mobilizing the armies of the Ummah to liberate the lands of our Ummah, then know that you have a defeated and colonized mind and you are living under a mirage of the colonialists.

No one will save the Ummah other than Allah (swt) and the Ummah itself. No one will help Al-Aqua except Allah (swt) and the Ummah of Islam.

Running behind your enemy, begging for scraps of mercy to their allies, is not what we – the Ummah of Mohammed (saw) – do.

We work as the Prophet (saw) worked: We first establish our own political and military independence, and then we solve our political and military problems ourselves with our own hands. anything else is a fool chasing after a mirage”.

Speaking of a fool chasing after a mirage, why has Justine Trudeau allowed barbarians like this madman to operate within Canada? Why have so many other Canadian politicians stood by and said nothing about where this feckless one has taken our country? Is Canada no longer consider a Christian Country? If madmen, quoting other madmen from 1400 years ago are allowed to spew their hate in Canada, surely on can say “Onward Christian Soldiers…………….

When do Canadian politicians start standing up for our democracy?

  5. I was stopped just half an hour ago by two Evangelical Christians. They were inviting people to join their Body of Christ.

I asked what their favorite verse from the Bible was:
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” Jone 3:16

I replied that getting someone else to save you from yourself was not a good idea.

    I shared mine:
“Looking at his disciples, he said:

“Blessed are you who are poor,
for yours is the kingdom of God.
21 Blessed are you who hunger now,
    for you will be satisfied.
Blessed are you who weep now,
    for you will laugh.
22 Blessed are you when people hate you,
when they exclude you and insult you
and reject your name as evil,
because of the Son of Man.” Luke 6:20-22.

I explained it’s meaning, to remove pride, to seek and find the truth, repent in shame and humility and be set free.

Not understanding, they asked what Church I went to:

    ‘My family and my neighbors.’

And asked if I was Born Again:

‘John The Baptist, Jesus and Jesus’s disciples said the same thing when they went out:
“Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.”
Only St Paul said ‘look out! The Sky is Falling soon!”

‘Didn’t the truth about yourself set you free?’

Now, all daily exchanges have insights.

    I learned:
    1. How to differentiate between a Pet and a Slave.
    2. That they did not meditate. For they skimmed their meal.

And they learned that I was evil because of the Son of Man.

USA Today editorial says Republicans bigger threat than 9/11 hijackers after Cheney ouster

    By Thomas Catenacci

Rep. Liz Cheney’s ouster proved Republicans are a bigger threat than the 9/11 hijackers who killed thousands of Americans, according to a USA Today editorial.

The removal of Cheney from her leadership position suggests that the GOP has endorsed election fraud conspiracy theories, USA Today editor David Mastio wrote in Thursday. Endorsing such conspiracy theories, which allege that Joe Biden didn’t actually win the election, poses a bigger threat to the U.S. than 9/11 hijackers ever did, he said. (RELATED: The Liz Cheney moment, and the moving on therefrom)

“The fact that the majority of Republicans believe our election was stolen is a sure sign that more violence is to come,” Mastio wrote, according to USA Today.

Trending: Biden canceled Trump’s ‘Garden of American Heroes.’ But look who honorees were

“After 9/11, the leaders, financiers and backers of the terrorists had had their one shot at tearing America down,” he said. “Their only hope was to hide in caves and pray we wouldn’t find them. After Jan. 6, the leaders, financiers and backers of the insurrection feel no such fear.”

TRANS ROW Student faces being expelled from Scots uni for saying women have vaginas

A STUDENT fears her dream of becoming a human rights lawyer is in tatters after being rapped by her uni for saying “women have vaginas”.

Final year law student Lisa Keogh, 29, faces formal disciplinary action from Abertay University, in Dundee, for her alleged “offensive” and “discriminatory” comments made during feminism seminars.

Keogh is under fire after fellow students took offence at her comments, including saying the female sex are not physically as strong as males.

The mature student was reported by younger classmates after stating her understanding women are born with female genitals and “the difference in physical strength of men versus women is a fact”.

At first mum-of-two Keogh said she thought emails from classmates accusing her of being transphobic were “a joke”. She now she fears she will be flung out of uni before graduating.

She told The Times: “I’m worried that my chance of becoming a lawyer, and making a positive contribution, could be ended just because some people were offended.”

Joanna Cherry QC, the SNP MP for Edinburgh South West and deputy chairwoman of the Lords and Commons joint committee on human rights, branded the action taken as farcical.

Cherry has asked Abertay asking how it protected student rights to freedom of speech under the European Convention on Human Rights.

    • GLOBAL NEWS – Could mRNA vaccines be used to combat other diseases like cancer?

The use of messenger RNA technology (mRNA) in the creation of COVID-19 vaccines have made a considerable impact in the fight against the novel coronavirus, with the first doses being given to people less than a year after the pandemic was declared.

But mRNA technology is not new; not only is it used within our own cells to make proteins, but it has been used in testing against other diseases and viruses like cancer and ebola for well over a decade.

And with the success of its use in COVID-19 vaccines, it could mean a breakthrough in how to use it going forward.

The migrants crossed the breakwater throughout the night at the Benzu area, in their underwear, with a diving suit or in plain clothes, some of them aided by floats.

It is reported that some of them could be minors, and among the migrants there were also two entire families aboard inflatable boats, according to local media.

  13. Families with children to receive monthly payments from Biden administration starting July 15
    Chris Pandolfo
    3-4 minutes

Parents with children who qualify for President Joe Biden’s expanded child tax credit will begin to receive their monthly payments on July 15, the administration said Monday.

The Treasury Department and the Internal Revenue Service announced that roughly 39 million U.S. households — which house 88% of the children in the United States — will begin receiving monthly payments from the federal government with no strings attached. The payments are part of the newly advanceable child tax credit that was codified by Biden’s $1.9 trillion COVID-19 stimulus package, “The American Rescue Plan.”

Under Biden’s plan, the maximum child tax credit in 2021 was increased to $3,600 for children under the age of 6 and to $3,000 per child for kids between 6 and 17. The tax credit, which will be paid monthly in advance instead of when families file their taxes, is expected to lift more than five million children out of poverty this year, according to the Biden administration.
