Reader’s Links for April 20, 2021

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

  1. Don’t know if this has been shown before, it’s a video from March: Dr Peter McCullough on early treatment for Covid. Testifying before Texas Senate HHS (?)
Worth a listen if it’s not been posted already.

    • Oh there it is: Senate Committee on Health and Human Services.

Dr. McCullough believes there is a crisis of compassion in the Medical Profession…..

      • There has been for some time as initially religion (muslims) then politics (leftists) now can dictate who and how WRT treatment is given. We are all used to muslim “doctors” not obeying primum non nocere, but now we are seeing leftist ones boasting about what they would do to MAGAs etc. The infiltration and now control of medical faculties by the left has been ongoing for over 25 years and like that of the Law no one even noticed it until the pus poured forth.

The mayor had a girlfriend. The girlfriend had a boyfriend. The boyfriend had an illegal gun. The boyfriend asks his girlfriend’s girlfriend to ‘fix’ the charges. The girlfriend’s girlfriend, being the mayor, does so. The girlfriend’s girlfriend’s ‘wife’ finds out about it and beats up the girlfriend’s girlfriend. The daughter of the girlfriend’s girlfriends and the girlfriend’s girlfriend’s ‘wife’ ends up running into the street saying ‘My moms are fighting.’ Civilization? LIFE IN THE BLUE ZONES: Lori Lightfoot: Chicago Mayor to Resign After Being Caught Cheating on Wife? “The reports are unconfirmed and no official statement has been released from the mayor. However, news of Lightfoot’s alleged resignation has sparked outrage on Twitter with many expressing their anger over the mayor’s decision to resign over a cheating scandal instead of other recent unfortunate events including the misappropriation of COVID relief funds to the Chicago Police Department, covering up a botched raid on Anjanette Young, as well as the fatal shooting of Adam Toledo.”

Yeah, that’s the least of her scandals. As a friend comments, “It must be a difficult choice for Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot to resign over a personal sex scandal, vs her city burning to the ground, with children shooting each other up, over and over and over again, every single day.”

  3. The SPARS Pandemic of 2025-2028

…In the year 2025, the world has become simultaneously more connected, yet more divided. Nearly universal access to wireless internet and new technology … provided the means for readily sharing news and information. However, many have chosen to self-restrict the sources they turn to for information, often electing to interact only with those with whom they agree. This trend has increasingly isolated cliques from one another, making communication across and between these groups more and more difficult.…

This is a hypothetical scenario designed to illustrate the public health risk communication challenges that could potentially emerge during a naturally occurring infectious disease outbreak requiring development and distribution of novel and/or investigational drugs, vaccines, therapeutics, or other medical countermeasures.

    • Johns Hopkins Simulation From 2017 “SPARS 2025-2028” Mirrors COVID Pandemic

…Centers for Disease Control and Prevention confirms the victims were infected with a novel coronavirus, SPARS-CoV.

Nothing is known about this novel coronavirus. There is no rapid diagnostic test. There are no known treatments. And there is no vaccine.

It’s not long before the SPARS outbreak erupts into a global pandemic.

The CDC finds SPARS is transmitted through respiratory droplets and recommends that everyone practice hand hygiene and frequently disinfect surfaces. Experts learn that SPARS has a long incubation period– 7 to 10 days– and that it can be spread by asymptomatic carriers. …The WHO begins to recommend social distancing and isolation of suspected cases.

There is hope that an existing antiviral drug could help treat SPARS, but there have been no randomized controlled trials. The US Food and Drug Administration issues an Emergency Use Authorization for this drug to treat SPARS patients. Soon, there is high public demand for the drug and millions of doses are dispensed from the Strategic National Stockpile. However, it soon becomes apparent that the drug can cause serious side effects.

Things become political. Republicans voice their support of the drug while Democrats express doubt. America is more connected yet more divided than ever. Rumors and misinformation regarding the virus and potential treatments circulate on social media….

The economy takes a hit as the pandemic drags on. Within a year, a potential vaccine begins expedited review and there are promises that tens of millions of doses will be available within a few months. But of the hundreds of millions of people living in the US, who will get the vaccine first?

…As the pandemic tapered off, several influential politicians and agency representatives came under fire for sensationalizing the severity of the event for perceived political gain.…

“The Corovax vaccination program met resistance from several groups: alternative medicine proponents, Muslims, African Americans, and anti-vaccination activists. Initially operating independently, these groups banded together via social media to increase their influence.”

“As time passed and more people across the United States were vaccinated, claims of adverse side effects began to emerge.…”

D.C. Medical Examiner: Capitol Police Officer Sicknick died of ‘natural causes’

    Fox 5 D.C. video

A painful episode, one that ought to be embarrassing for media and politicians alike, comes to an ignominious end.

On Monday, the Washington, D.C. Medical Examiner, Francisco J. Diaz, issued a report that U.S. Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick died of natural causes on January 7 2021 – and, as numerous pundits have noted, did not die from injuries sustained in the Capitol riot the day before.

The finding that Sicknick’s death was not related to injuries from the riot presumably means that it will be hard to make a homicide case against anyone in the matter of his death. Two men are charged with using bear spray on Officer Sicknick during the breach of the Capitol building, but according to the Washington Post, Diaz “said the autopsy found no evidence the 42-year-old officer suffered an allergic reaction to chemical irritants, which Diaz said would have caused Sicknick’s throat to quickly seize.”

The Post continued: “Diaz also said there was no evidence of internal or external injuries.”

Trending: Another young black was shot to death on Saturday. Where are the protests? And the media?

Instead, Sicknick died of a pair of strokes, apparently due to a blood clot in his brain stem.

    • The neurologist consulted by blogger Techno Fog felt sure the medical examiner had reached his conclusion long before mid-late February, when Techno Fog spoke to him. In fact, as mentioned, the Sicknick family said shortly after his death that they understood the problem to be a stroke brought on by a blood clot.

Yet for the last three months, processes of law have been materially affected by false stories fostered and spread not only by the media but by government agencies. We are entitled to wonder what other aspects of the Capitol riot are being distorted in the same way.

The last two paragraphs in the article, the partial sentence in bold print applies to so much of the media reporting today that it shouldn’t be necessary to point this fact out.

If you talk to people about the lying they pass it off as business as usual and go on with their lives.

    • The Muslims will tell you women are deficient of mind so that will dispel his story. Frightening, what we do not know. Pure evil monsters of the NWO.

    • France to open to European & US tourists this summer -with vaccination passports & Covid-19 tests

Macron hints France could open to vaccinated visitors from America and Europe this summer – but Brits could still be ordered to stay away.

The French president said at least some tourists will be able to return to the country this summer, and hinted at requirements for vaccinations or negative Covid tests.

His government are currently working on a certificate for travel between European countries.

Mr Macron told CBS: “We are building a certificate to facilitate travel after these restrictions between the different European countries with testing and vaccination.

“We will progressively lift the restrictions of the beginning of May, which means that we will organise in the summer time with our professionals in France for French, European citizens, but as well for American citizens.

“So we are working hard to propose a very concrete solution, especially for US citizens who are vaccinated, so with a special pass, I would say.”

But although holiday-makers from the UK could be welcomed under the scheme, the British Government could well advise against all but essential travel to France.

That’s because the country is in the middle of a serious third wave, with some 40,000 new cases a day.

    • the gateway pundit – Joe Signs Executive Order Banning Federal Use of the Words “Wuhan Virus” to Describe Wuhan Virus

China Joe Biden signed an executive order to ban the use of Wuhan Virus to describe the Wuhan Virus.

      That’s important!
Joe Biden still says it’s xenophobic.
We are living in a clown world.

      One America News reported:

In the fight against COVID-19, Joe Biden seems to be prioritizing hollow symbolic gestures over policies with a measurable impact on the welfare and health of American citizens.

Biden signed a memo banning federal agencies from referring to the coronavirus by terms related to its geographic origin, such as China or Wuhan virus.

While no direct mention of President Trump is made, the memo does specifically blame “the actions of political leaders” for “furthering xenophobic sentiments” against Asian-Americans and Pacific Islanders. This is a clear allusion to Biden’s previous attempts to shift focus away from the Trump administration’s achievements in fighting the pandemic towards concerns over political correctness.

“Labelling COVID-19 a foreign virus does not displace accountability for the misjudgments that have been made thus far by the Trump administration. Let me be crystal clear. The coronavirus does not have a political affiliation,” Biden stated. “It will not discriminate based on national origin, race, gender, or zip code.”

Among the sparse number of specific measures dictated by the memo is instructing federal agencies to review the use of these terms in existing policy directives or government publications. This, despite a recent review by CBS News finding “no specific reference to China virus” in any COVID-19 related executive orders issued by President Trump.

Critics pointed out the memo seems to be politically motivated, targeting specific terms employed by President Trump without making any mention of hate crimes against other communities, some of which may have been the victim of hatred stoked by Democrat politicians and left-wing activists.

Amid the cauldron of misunderstanding and finger pointing caused by the tragic death of Daunte Wright, few things are more important than putting forth a message of understanding and reconciliation. That is, unless you are Barack Obama.

Ever the politician, Obama has now released an incendiary message before all the facts of the case are known.

“Our hearts are heavy over yet another shooting of a Black man, Daunte Wright, at the hands of police. The fact that this could happen even as the city of Minneapolis is going through the trial of Derek Chauvin and reliving the heart-wrenching murder of George Floyd indicates not just how important it is to conduct a full and transparent investigation, but also just how badly we need to reimagine policing and public safety in this country,” Obama’s statement said.

College of the Ozarks is suing President Joe Biden over his anti-discrimination executive order that would force the school to abandon its religious principles in favor of left-wing gender politics.

Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), a religious liberty legal group, filed a lawsuit in the Western District of Missouri on behalf of the College of the Ozarks, claiming that Biden’s anti-discrimination act “requires private religious colleges to place biological males into female dormitories and assign them as females’ roommates.”

The college has assigned dormitories and separated “intimate spaces,” such as showers and bathrooms, based on biological sex and does not wish to alter that practice. College of the Ozarks holds the belief that biological sex is not changeable and operates its dorms accordingly.

Russia in recent weeks has reportedly massed an estimated 85,000 troops near its border with Ukraine. The concentration of Russian forces there is the highest since 2014, when Moscow annexed Crimea. Pictured: Ukrainian soldiers in a trench on the front-line facing Russia-backed separatists in the Lugansk region on April 8, 2021. (Photo by STR/AFP via Getty Images)

Russian troops are massing on the Ukraine border, Chinese vessels are swarming Whitsun Reef of the Philippines in the South China Sea, and China’s air force is flying almost daily through Taiwan’s air-defense identification zone. Chinese troops for almost a year have been dug in deep in Indian-controlled Ladakh in the Himalayas. Two large aggressors are threatening to break apart neighbors and absorb them.

The Biden administration has issued warnings to both Moscow and Beijing, but neither looks impressed. American attempts to de-escalate flashpoints are seen in Russian and Chinese circles as failures of resolve.

    • Gordon once again tells the facts as they exist, he is giving the Biden Administration a big fat F for its efforts to stop the Chinese and Russian aggression on the Eastern and western edges of Asia.

Neither nation is impressed with the tough talk of senile Joe and both know that his puppet masters will be slow to act if either or both invade the nations they are threatening. Weak rulers cause massive wars and both Russia and China know that Biden is very weak and that his puppet masters aren’t much stronger. They also know that the left in the US is pushing us into a civil war that will keep our attention on the internal fighting while they seize control of the areas they want. Granted both would move even if the US wasn’t headed into a civil war but they are both going to use all of the advantages that Biden and company give them.

Welcome to the New Normal, the War Years that will last many a decade.

Whites Aren’t Hated for Slavery but for Making America and the West

In “Why the Jews?” my book on anti-Semitism, there is a chapter on anti-Americanism. My co-author, Rabbi Joseph Telushkin, and I long ago understood that many of the reasons for Jew-hatred and America-hatred were the same.

Among them are envy of success — material, of course, but even more importantly, success in terms of influence. Another is the religious foundation of both peoples: Both America and the Jews are rooted in belief in God, belief they are a Chosen People and belief in the Bible, especially the Torah, as the book from which they derive their values.

America-haters and Jew-haters resent the enormous influence both nations have had on the world, have contempt for their belief in being Chosen and dismiss the Bible as irrelevant and even malevolent.

Packing the Supreme Court is the latest ambition of the Democrat Party.

Left-wing lawmakers proved this last week when they shared a bill to add four new seats to the court. Right now, Democrat leaders, such as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and President Biden are lukewarm on the legislation; however, there is no telling how long this will last.
