This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

    That threshold is generally achievable only with high vaccination rates, and many scientists had thought that once people started being immunized en masse, herd immunity would permit society to return to normal. Most estimates had placed the threshold at 60–70% of the population gaining immunity, either through vaccinations or past exposure to the virus. But as the pandemic enters its second year, the thinking has begun to shift. In February, independent data scientist Youyang Gu changed the name of his popular COVID-19 forecasting model from ‘Path to Herd Immunity’ to ‘Path to Normality’. He said that reaching a herd-immunity threshold was looking unlikely because of factors such as vaccine hesitancy, the emergence of new variants and the delayed arrival of vaccinations for children.
    Gu is a data scientist, but his thinking aligns with that of many in the epidemiology community. “We’re moving away from the idea that we’ll hit the herd-immunity threshold and then the pandemic will go away for good,” says epidemiologist Lauren Ancel Meyers, executive director of the University of Texas at Austin COVID-19 Modeling Consortium. This shift reflects the complexities and challenges of the pandemic, and shouldn’t overshadow the fact that vaccination is helping. “The vaccine will mean that the virus will start to dissipate on its own,” Meyers says. But as new variants arise and immunity from infections potentially wanes, “we may find ourselves months or a year down the road still battling the threat, and having to deal with future surges”.
    Long-term prospects for the pandemic probably include COVID-19 becoming an endemic disease, much like influenza. But in the near term, scientists are contemplating a new normal that does not include herd immunity.

In this large group, it’s wholly unethical to administer something novel and for which the potential for unwanted effects after a few months is completely uncharacterized.
    In no other era would it be wise to do what is stated as the intention.
    Since I know this with certainty, and I know those driving it know this too, we have to enquire: What is their motive?
    I must return to the issue of ‘top up vaccines’ (booster shots) and it is this whole narrative which I fear will be exploited and used to gain unparalleled power over us.

  7. THE “UNVACCINATED” QUESTION
    So, the New Normals are discussing the Unvaccinated Question. What is to be done with us? No, not those who haven’t been “vaccinated” yet. Us. The “Covidiots.” The “Covid deniers.” The “science deniers.” The “reality deniers.” Those who refuse to get “vaccinated,” ever.
    There is no place for us in New Normal society. The New Normals know this and so do we. So they are discussing the need to segregate us, how to segregate us, when to segregate us, in order to protect society from us. In Israel, Estonia, Denmark, Germany, the USA, and other New Normal countries, they have already begun the segregation process. In the UK, it’s just a matter of time. The WEF, WHO, EU, and other transnational entities are helping to streamline the new segregation system, which, according to the WEF, “will need to be harmonized by a normative body, such as the WHO, to ensure that is ethical.” In contrast to the “vaccine” and the “test” themselves, the forced choice between them is not at all meaningless. It is no accident that both alternatives involve the violation of our bodies, literally the penetration of our bodies. The issue, at the moment, is the Unvaccinated Question, and the public rituals that are being performed to make the New Normal ideology “reality,” and what to do about those of us who refuse to participate in those rituals, who refuse to forswear “old normal” reality and convert to New Normalism so that we can function in society without being segregated, criminalized, or “diagnosed” as “sociopathic” or otherwise psychiatrically disordered. Given that many New Normals are our friends and colleagues, or even members of our families, it is tempting to believe that they will “come to their senses,” that “this is all just a hysterical overreaction,” and that “everything will go back to normal soon.”
    This would be a monumental error on our parts … very possibly a fatal error. No, the Unvaccinated are not the Jews and the New Normals are not flying big Swastika flags, but totalitarianism is totalitarianism, regardless of which Goebbelsian Big Lies, and ideology, and official enemies it is selling. The historical context and costumes change, but its ruthless trajectory remains the same.

  9. WRISTBANDS AND DINING CARDS: NEW ARMY POLICIES EXCLUDE & ISOLATE UNVACCINATED
    The US Army can’t legally mandate COVID vaccines, but restrictive policies like those at Fort Drum and Fort Bragg make it increasingly difficult for service members to refuse. Perhaps the most shocking item in the new policy is this: Fort Drum authorized a COVID wristband for vaccinated service members. What’s happening at Fort Drum is bad enough, but maybe not as bad as the civil rights violation occurring against the unvaccinated at Fort Bragg in North Carolina, where the commander of the 82nd Airborne Division has made a vaccination card mandatory to enter a dining facility. Because a majority of lower enlisted soldiers don’t have access to kitchens in the barracks, they are dependent on the dining facilities for most, if not all of their meals while on duty or in training rotations which don’t provide access to public restaurants. This mandate will disproportionately affect lower-income personnel who may have to trade accepting an experimental vaccine in order to have food. It is urgent that service members file complaints to the inspector general to halt this momentum towards medical fascism. Pam Long

    A Hong Kong-based think tank suspected of working as a front group for the Chinese Communist Party has cultivated close ties to Historically Black Colleges and Universities and members of the Congressional Black Caucus since 2014.

    The China-U.S. Exchange Foundation’s (CUSEF) outreach to the black community is part of a broad initiative to cozy up to prominent organizations in the U.S., including foreign policy think tanks and other elite universities.

    CUSEF’s activities have drawn the attention of CIA Director William Burns, who testified at his Senate confirmation hearing last month that he cut ties with CUSEF when he was president of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace out of concern over “Chinese influence operations.”

      European Medicines Agency Executive Director Emer Cooke announced on Wednesday that there is “no evidence” that supports restricting the use of AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine in any population. Germany recently suspended using the drug over concerns of rare blood clots in recipients of the shot.

      Cooke added that her Amsterdam-based agency continues to study reports of new cases as they come in and will provide a further assessment next week.

      On Tuesday, an independent vaccine expert panel in Germany said AstraZeneca shots should not routinely be given to people under 60 because of a rise in reported cases of unusual blood clots in the days after vaccination.

      The German government followed the recommendation and said the British-Swedish company’s vaccine would be prioritized for people age 60 and older, although exceptions can be made in consultation with doctors.

      The move put the spotlight back on the European Medicines Agency, which authorized the AstraZeneca vaccine in January and said earlier this month – after some European countries suspended its use over blood clot fears – that the vaccine’s benefits outweigh the risks.

      “According to the current scientific knowledge, there is no evidence that would support restricting the use of this vaccine in any population,” Cooke told reporters.

      She said the agency’s assessment was based on 62 cases of unusual blood clots, including 14 deaths, worldwide reported to EMA by March 22. Those figures included a “significant” number of the cases reported from Germany, but not all, she said.

      German regulators said they had received 31 reports of rare blood clots in the head in recipients of the AstraZeneca vaccine and nine deaths up to March 29, roughly doubling the number that had been reported in the country by March 22.

      Cooke said the EMA will include the Germany cases in its review “and they will be they will form part of the ongoing evaluation that the committee is undertaking, as will any additional cases that are reported from other countries and regions.”

      Based on the numbers reported to the agency so far, there have been 4.8 cases of the rare blood clots per million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine administered, she said.

      “For the BioNTech vaccine, based on the same criteria, it was 0.2 cases per million,” Cooke added, referring to the shot a German biotechnology company developed with U.S. pharmaceutical giant Pfizer. “And for the Moderna vaccine based on the same criteria, zero cases per million. But that probably reflects that there’s a lot less use of Moderna at the moment in Europe.”

      She said the EMA’s experts so far had not determined any underlying risk factors for the blood clots or established a causal relationship to the AstraZeneca vaccine.

      “The link is possible, and we cannot say any more than that at this point,” Cooke said.

      reuters – EU drug watchdog reaffirms no particular clot risk factor linked to AstraZeneca vaccine

      Europe’s medicines regulator reiterated its backing of AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine, saying no particular group of age, sex or a previous medical history was especially susceptible to blood clotting after receiving the shot.

      However, while repeating that the vaccine’s benefits outweigh risks, it cautioned that people should be aware of the “remote possibility” of rare blood clots occurring, and must seek immediate medical attention in case of symptoms.

      “A causal link with the vaccine is not proven, but is possible and further analysis is continuing,” the European Medicines Agency (EMA) said in a statement. (bit.ly/3m6d2M9)

      EMA issued the statement after a hearing with a panel of independent external experts on Monday.

      It spoke after several countries including Canada, Germany, France and Spain limited use of the drugmaker’s shot, after reports of a rare clotting condition following vaccination.

      Investigations by EMA and several national authorities in the EU continue, after initial probes deemed the vaccine safe for use following reports of a brain clotting ailment known as cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST).

      A high proportion among the reported cases affected young and middle-aged women but that did not lead EMA to conclude this cohort was particularly at risk from AstraZeneca’s shot.

      Women were generally more prone to CVST than men and twice as many women as men had received AstraZeneca’s shot in the EU so far, said EMA’s head of safety monitoring, Peter Arlett.

      “This is why at this stage it is difficult to disentangle why there has been a preponderance of reports of this very rare potential side effect in younger women in particular,” he added.

      EMA had analysed 62 such cases globally, consulting also with regulators in India, Brazil and Britain, and 44 of the cases had occurred in the European Economic Area (EEA).

      It had looked into 14 deaths, though not all were associated with CVST, said Arlett. About 9.2 million people in the EEA had received the shot by the assessment’s cut-off date of March 22.

      Arlett did acknowledge the blood-clotting incidence rate was higher than what was normally expected in the young and middle-aged. Though he did not quantify the difference, he said it did not justify a change in recommendation.

      “If we look into individuals under 60, we do see more cases of (CVST) than we would expect to see from the background rate,” said Arlett.

      Germany vaccine oversight body PEI said on Tuesday it had registered 31 cases of CVST, which resulted in nine deaths, out of some 2.7 million people who have received the AstraZeneca vaccine.

      EMA said a few of the German cases happened after its cut-off date and had not yet been included in its analysis.

      PARIS (Reuters) – President Emmanuel Macron extended movement restrictions to cover the whole of France and said schools would close for three weeks as he sought to push back a third wave of COVID-19 infections that threatens to overwhelm hospitals.

      Macron said he was extending the lockdown rules already in place in Paris, swathes of the north and parts of the south east to the whole country for at least a month, from Saturday.

      “We will lose control if we do not move now,” the president said in a televised address to the nation.

      The epidemic has killed 95,337 people in France and left intensive care units in the hardest-hit regions at the point of breakdown.

      Schools will close for three weeks after Easter, which falls this weekend.

      “It is the best solution to slow down the virus,” Macron said, adding that France had succeeded in keeping its schools open for longer during the pandemic than many neighbours.

Having shifted from failed states to ethnic conflict to rogue states to terrorism to hybrid warfare, the threat generation industry has now returned to state-on-state warfare as the scenario designed to frighten people, with a focus on the allegedly military superiority that the Russian Federation enjoys over NATO.     China has imposed sanctions on more than two dozen European and British lawmakers, academics and think tanks. The move comes after the European Union and the United Kingdom imposed sanctions on Chinese officials for human rights abuses in China’s Xinjiang region.

    China contends that its sanctions are tit for tat — morally equivalent retaliation — in response to those imposed by Western countries. This is false. The European sanctions are for crimes against humanity, whereas the Chinese sanctions seek to silence European critics of the Chinese Communist Party.

    The current standoff is, in essence, about the future of free speech in Europe. If notoriously feckless European officials fail to stand firm in the face of mounting Chinese pressure, Europeans who dare publicly to criticize the CCP in the future can expect to pay an increasingly high personal cost for doing so.

    Apparent Mexican drug cartel members threatened Republican senators from across the Rio Grande in Texas when they visited the border as Border Patrol officials grapple with a surge in illegal immigrants and human smuggling, according to one of the senators.

    “We went right there at midnight [on Friday] to the Rio Grande River, and we were really taunted by Mexican cartel members,” Sen. Steve Daines (R-Mt.) told Breitbart. “They didn’t know it was Republican senators who were staying there—literally on the water’s edge in the brush—but they knew it was probably Border Patrol. They could hear the English voices.”

    A Border Patrol agent who could translate Spanish to English told the senators that the cartel members made “vile” and “threatening” statements to them.

    I was going to write of the need for something I call a “New Federalism,” but Ron DeSantis beat me to it by actually demonstrating it by acting.

    On March 29, the Florida governor announced he would take emergency executive action against vaccine passports, explaining it this way:

    “It’s completely unacceptable for either the government or the private sector to impose upon you the requirement you show proof of vaccine to just simply be able to participate in normal society.”

    DeSantis has actually been leading the way against such passports for some time.

    Meanwhile New York and the federal government are going in the opposite direction, working to roll out the passports. New York is already experimenting with an Excelsior Pass for cellphones, while the Biden administration is apparently cooperating with private industry in devising and actualizing their manufacture or similar for the entire country.

    There’s something eerily similar in this to the Soviet internal passport,

  41. US official says buildup of Russian forces near Ukraine is ‘concerning’

    A US defense official told CBS News that there is a “concerning” buildup of Russian troops near the border with Ukraine, adding that Moscow has not announced any training in the area to account for the development.

    The two countries have been in conflict since Russia annexed the Crimean Peninsula in 2014.

    The US — which contributes millions in both non-military and military aid to Ukraine every year — and its NATO allies do not recognize Russia’s annexation of the peninsula.

    The official’s remarks come after Ukrainian Commander in Chief Ruslan Khomchack told his country’s parliament on Tuesday that Russian forces have been assembling near the border under the guise of maintaining combat readiness and preparing for exercises.

    Khomchack accused Moscow of pursuing an “aggressive policy” toward Kyiv and also accused pro-Moscow separatists of violating a ceasefire in the conflict in eastern Ukraine agreed in July 2020, Reuters reported.

    Kyiv says the conflict has killed 14,000 people since 2014.

    Lawmakers said 26 Ukrainian servicemen have been killed so far this year, including four killed by snipers last week.

    “The Russian Federation continues its aggressive policy towards Ukraine,” Khomchak told parliament.

    “An additional concentration of up to 25 tactical groups is expected, which, together with the already deployed forces near the state border of Ukraine, poses a threat to the military security of the state,” he said.

    Khomchak added that Moscow holds 32,700 troops in Crimea, while its officers command 28,000 separatist servicemen stationed in temporarily occupied territories in eastern Ukraine.

    Late Tuesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin accused Ukraine of provoking armed confrontation with pro-Russian separatists and failing to honor earlier agreements over its wartorn east, the Kremlin said in a readout of a phone call with France and Germany’s leaders, Reuters reported.

    Kremlin says it fears Ukraine could restart conflict in war-torn east

    MOSCOW (Reuters) – The Kremlin said on Wednesday it was concerned by mounting tensions in war-torn eastern Ukraine and that it feared Kyiv’s government forces could do something to restart a conflict with pro-Russian separatists.

    The comments came a day after Ukraine’s commander-in-chief accused Russia of a military buildup near their shared border and said that the pro-Moscow separatists were systematically violating a ceasefire in eastern Ukraine.

    Kyiv and Moscow have blamed each other for a recent spate of violence in the region. Around 14,000 people have been killed in the conflict since it first erupted in 2014, Ukraine says.

    “We express concern over the growing tension and express concern that one way or another the Ukrainian side could take provocative actions that would lead to war. We really don’t want to see that,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

    “I mean a civil war, which there already was there,” Peskov said, when asked to clarify on a conference call with reporters.

    Russian President Vladimir Putin late on Tuesday accused Ukraine of provoking armed confrontation with the separatists and of failing to honour agreements over the region.

    Speaking during a video conference with French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Putin also urged Kyiv to enter into direct dialogue with local separatist forces, the Kremlin said late on Tuesday.

    “The Russian side expressed serious concern over the escalation of armed confrontation that is being provoked by Ukraine along the line of contact and its effective refusal to implement the agreements of July 2020 … to strengthen the ceasefire regime,” the Kremlin said.

    Germany, Russia and France are part of the so-called “Normandy format” that also includes Ukraine and that was set up in 2014 to try to resolve the conflict in eastern Ukraine.

    • US military raises Europe threat level to ‘potential imminent crisis:’ report

      The U.S. European Command (EUCOM) raised its threat levels in Europe to a “potential imminent crisis” this week as fighting between Russian and Ukrainian forces has escalated in recent days and additional Russian troops are deploying to the region. The Russian troop movements could serve as an early test of President Joe Biden’s commitment to Ukraine.

      According to the New York Times, Gen. Tod D. Wolters, the head of U.S. European Command declared a “potential imminent crisis,” which is the highest potential watch level. The command raised the watch level after four Ukrainian troops were killed in recent fighting in the Donetsk region. EUCOM also raised the warning after Russian troops deployed to the border region between Russia and Ukraine for an apparent set of military drills but failed to leave after the drills concluded on March 23.

      One official who spoke with the New York Times estimated around 4,000 additional Russian troops remained in the Ukraine border region after the most recent military drills ended.

      U.S. officials told the New York Times that it has been a favored Russian tactic to use military drills near Ukraine’s borders to send a message to both the Ukrainian government and other western nations. Current and former U.S. military officials said the latest Russian troop deployment could also be a way for Russian President Vladimir Putin to gauge the Biden administration’s commitment to Ukraine.

      “This could be posturing, but the Kremlin is testing the new administration,” said retired U.S. Army Lt. Gen. Frederick B. Hodges, the former commanding general of U.S. Army Europe.

      Hodges, who now works with the Center for European Policy Analysis, told the New York Times that Russia has “zero interest” in reaching a peaceful outcome with Ukraine and instead wants to keep the country destabilized as much as possible.

      Russian and Ukrainian forces have been fighting in a low-intensity conflict since Russia’s invasion and annexation of Crimea in 2014. The fighting has seen some up occasional flare-ups in that time.

      Biden spoke with Putin during a January call, in which he “reaffirmed the United States’ firm support for Ukraine’s sovereignty,” however Biden has yet to schedule a call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. According to the New York Times, the lack of contact between Biden and Zelensky has caused some former U.S. officials to question the Biden administration’s commitment to supporting Ukraine and helping resolve its conflict with Russia.

      Zelensky became a central figure in a 2019 effort to impeach former President Donald Trump. During a controversial July 2019 phone call, Trump and Zelensky discussed a 2016 incident in which Biden appeared to demand Zelensky’s predecessor fire a Ukrainian prosecutor investigating Burisma Holdings, a gas company Biden’s son Hunter Biden worked for. According to a transcript of his July phone call with Zelensky, Trump asked his Ukrainian counterpart to “look into” the Burisma investigation and the 2016 incident involving Biden.

      Democratic lawmakers voted to impeach Trump in the House of Representatives, alleging he pressured Zelensky to investigate Biden. Trump was acquitted by the Republican-controlled Senate in February of 2020.

      The Biden administration has seen some other tense exchanges with Putin and Russia in recent weeks. Two weeks ago, Russia recalled its ambassador to the U.S. after Biden referred to Putin as a killer. Reacting further to Biden’s comments, Putin challenged Biden to a live debate and said he wished Biden “good health.”

    In 1856, British Army officer John Hanning Speke set out to find the source of the Nile. Speke’s massive Journal of the Discovery of the Source of the Nile documents the African societies he found, and the widespread practice of slavery. “To catch slaves is the first thought of every chief in the interior,” Speke wrote, “Hence fights and slavery impoverish the land.”

    Many Africans were “caught in wars, as may be seen every day in Africa, made slaves of, and sold to the Arabs for a few yards of common cloth, brass wire, or beads. They would then be taken to Zanzibar, resold like horses to the highest bidder, and then kept in bondage by their new masters.”

The Hindus were slandered by secular media for their projected aversion to interfaith marriages.

    The Hindus, on the other hand, refusing to kneel in front of the secular forces that are always propagating the idea of “love” between a Hindu girl and a Muslim boy, stood adamant on that one tough question no secular institution finds the courage to answer.

    While Hindu or Sikh women marrying Muslim men and converting into Islam is a common occurrence, a celebrated one at that, Muslim women’s involvement with non-Muslim men have often led to such gruesome episodes that the bravest of media houses have failed to summon up the intestinal fortitude to address them.
