Reader’s Links for March 22, 2021

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

  1. Biden Intel Report Reboots Russia Hoax to Censor Hunter Corruption Stories

Denigrating Biden is a national security threat.
Mon Mar 22, 2021 Daniel Greenfield

Democrats never give up beating a dead horse until it’s lying in pieces in the gutter. Senate Democrats are back to demanding that the FBI investigate Justice Kavanaugh’s high school years, and the Biden admin is rebooting the Russia hoax to protect Hunter and the Big Guy.

Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines presided over the release of the latest report, which claims to offer an intelligence analysis, but reads like a synthesis of Biden campaign talking points, right down to its absurd insistence that, Putin was helping Trump because he “probably also considers President Biden more apt to echo the idea of American Exceptionalism.”

Finally we’re getting an intel product that makes the Steele dossier seem credible.

The intelligence analysis also claims that the Hunter Biden thing is a Russian smear and that while the Russians tried to interfere in the election, nothing they did changed the outcome.

    That’s convenient. Really convenient.

  2. Netflix Declares War on Jesus (and Gun Owners) – Frontpagemag

Oddly enough, no plans have been announced for a show lampooning Muhammad.

Not content with glorifying pedophilia in Cuties, Netflix in season three of the animated Paradise P.D. features an episode that, according to NewsBusters, is not only devoted to “attacking gun rights,” but was also “blasphemous against Christianity, featuring a video of a gun-wielding Jesus that turns into a porno.” Great, Netflix! Edgy! Courageous! Cutting edge! Stunning and brave! Now, when is your cartoon show featuring, say, a machete-wielding Muhammad who takes up with a nine-year-old Aisha? If we had any actual journalists, they would be asking Netflix officials that question, and there is no doubt about what the answer would be: Netflix has far too much respect for Muslims and Islam to produce a show like that.

  3. President Of El Salvador: High Immigration To U.S. Is Bad For U.S. And Latin American Nations
    Daily Wire News
    8-10 minutes

El Salvador President Nayib Bukele told Fox News host Tucker Carlson on Monday night that high levels of immigration to the United States are not a good thing for the U.S. and was even worse for nations in Latin America, which he said are being gutted of the very people that are needed to build strong economies in those countries.

Bukele said that the surge north has been caused by three factors, including a lack of economic opportunities, a lack of security, and incentives provided in the United States. Bukele also suggested that the policies on the border and enforcement of immigration matters by U.S. authorities, or lack thereof, was a factor in what is happening.

Bukele said that he has seen improvement in his country as they have started to get a handle on the rampant violent crime afflicting his nation, which is a hotbed of MS-13 gang activity.

  4. Reporting of Increasing “Hate Crimes” Against Asians Leans on Narratives Instead of Numbers

Reporting of Increasing “Hate Crimes” Against Asians Leans on Narratives Instead of Numbers

You have likely heard about the recent spike in Anti-Asian hate crimes nationwide. Perhaps you have heard that President Trump injected xenophobic rhetoric into the discourse causing mass attacks on innocent Asian-Americans. At the very least, you probably know that this is a reality of the current landscape – a “surge” in race-based attacks on American citizens of Asian descent. But have you taken a look at the data informing this claim? Neither have we.

The recent Atlanta Spa Shootings whose victims included six Asian women were immediately weaponized by the mainstream media to promote a narrative of such a “spike” in anti-Asian hate crimes. It fit well into the existing discourse around the topic that has been pushed constantly over the past year: that ignorance surrounding COVID-19 has caused xenophobic hate crimes against Asians to spike nationwide.

The “fact” of a rise in Anti-Asian crime has been written in our Newspapers so frequently in recent months, that many have begun to accept it as truth. But a close look at news reports shows that America’s major news outlets rarely point to any actual evidence when they repeat the refrain. When they do cite a study or data – it doesn’t support their claims.

“Asian Americans see shooting as a culmination of a year of racism,” reports the Washington Post. Its coverage stated “The gunman’s intent seemed crystal clear to Asians living in Atlanta and across the nation who have long had to confront stereotyping, hateful harassment and even violence – and who say things have gotten even worse amid the coronavirus pandemic,” without pointing to any concrete evidence.

  5. China Calling for Civilizational War Against America and the West

There was a “strong smell of gunpowder” when American and Chinese diplomats met in Anchorage beginning March 18, according to Zhao Lijian of China’s foreign ministry. “Gunpowder” is one of those words Beijing uses when it wants others to know war is on its mind. There was a “strong smell of gunpowder” when American and Chinese diplomats met in Anchorage beginning March 18. That’s according to Zhao Lijian of China’s foreign ministry, speaking just hours after the first day of U.S.-China talks concluded.

“Gunpowder” is one of those words Beijing uses when it wants others to know war is on its mind.

The term is, more worryingly, also especially emotion-packed, a word Chinese propagandists use when they want to rile mainland Chinese audiences by reminding them of foreign — British and white — exploitation of China in the Opium War period of the 19th century. China’s Communist Party, therefore, is now trying to whip up nationalist sentiment, rallying the Chinese people, perhaps readying them for war.

Street vehicles—cars, trucks, and motorcycles—can’t be converted into racecars according to the EPA.
The EPA has announced that enforcement against high performance parts—including superchargers, tuners, and exhaust systems—is a top priority.
Even if you are one of the hundreds of thousands of enthusiasts who contacted Congress in the past, we need your support again!
Tell the bureaucrats in Washington that racecars are off limits!

The RPM Act is common-sense, bi-partisan legislation to protect Americans’ right to convert street vehicles (cars, trucks and motorcycles) into dedicated racecars and the motorsports-parts industry’s ability to sell products that enable racers to compete. The bill clarifies that it is legal to make emissions-related changes to a street vehicle for the purpose of converting it into a racecar used exclusively in competition. It also confirms that it is legal to produce, market and install racing equipment.
