Reader’s Links for March 8, 2021

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

  1. Hello Vlad and friends! Unfortunately my time is running out a bit prematurely. So I will say this; keep looking into a better future, never give in to globalist leftist schemes and the red-green machinations. Keep up the good fight and educate new generations about the risks and self-preservation. It has been a tremendous privilege working on these projects with all of you over all those years. I will leave the YT channel online for posterity. Good luck to all of you and bye bye. Wrath0fKhan signing off…

      • He is either extremely ill, financially threatened or simply sick of it all. Have a guess!
Whatever the reason I wish to thank him for all the work that he has done and hope that the future will be brighter for him.
Especially if and when he goes back into that stasis chamber : )

    • Thank you Wrath of Khan for your due diligence in exposing the fruit of islam.

That it poisons the individual, the home and the society by making people submit with an oath – and not let your yes be yes, and no be no, (for consciously living by every word of god).

Bound to a lie – with every deed to avoid the truth of this weak and brittle foundation – and death for those who wake up.and leave.

They receive an inferiority complex by equating Allah with Muhammad and strain every text for validation written by the same man. At best, muslims insult all those who don’t need a mat facing a black stone. At worst, unlimited evil imaginable.

Dhimmis yearn for a brutal dictator to protect them. So that Friday nights are peaceful. .

      islam. On record.

      You will be missed.

    • Wrath of Kahn we will miss you you contributions and insight were of great value to all of the readers of VTB.

    • Dear Wrath of Khan,

It is with great sadness that I read your words this morning. My instinct tells me you have a health-related issue.

It was a pleasure reading you throughout the years and you have left a solid footprint of your passage here, on this planet, this time around.

We are spirit, always remember this. You will be missed.

    • It sounds as if he is facing what all us old guys know we will be facing all-too-soon. God be with you, Wrath of Khan…

    • Wrath!
      I feel gut-punched!

A long time ago I complained to you about {nauseating} posts from {sh!thole}-state media. You told me we’ve GOT to read that stuff. Day-by-day, as it evolves.

      Of course you were right.
Since then, I’ve read every {loathsome} article you post. Even clicked the links for more!

      Just one example of enlightenment:
Over time I’ve come to understand the filthy Turk as a genocidaire. A very distinctive mindset, I couldn’t have picked up on that without your patient tutelage.

      I will miss you.
      I miss you already.

But you’ll still be here. Your wisdom and courage lives on in those of us whom you’ve inspired.

May your journey be gentle, your sweetness rewarded.

      Fondly as ever,

Rowan Dean touts successful Outsider action against Great Reset propaganda
    07/03/2021|5min
Sky News host Rowan Dean has thanked faithful Outsiders viewers who took action against the ‘Ready to Reset’ online event hosted by the “once-respected” Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.

Mr Dean said he was delighted to report “the event was a fizzer” due to Outsiders who made the effort to complain to the institute directly or to their local member.

A chartered accountant who attended the online event said Mr Dean had “scared the Great Reset into oblivion” and Mr Frydenberg’s speech steered clear of climate change.

“The only way we can stand up to this creeping woke garbage is calling it out and exposing it whenever and wherever we can,” me Dean said.

Nice! But one skirmish in a very long war is only a start.

How to Protect Yourself and Others

[…]the first set of public health recommendations for fully vaccinated people.

[…]the rapidly evolving science on COVID-19 vaccines.

[…]when visiting with unvaccinated people who are at increased risk for severe COVID-19 disease or who have an unvaccinated household member who is at increased risk for severe COVID-19 disease

[…]Therefore, the level of precautions taken should be determined by the characteristics of the unvaccinated people, who remain unprotected against COVID-19.

[…] For example, fully vaccinated grandparents can visit indoors with their unvaccinated healthy daughter and her healthy children without wearing masks or physical distancing, provided none of the unvaccinated family members are at risk of severe COVID-19.

[…]For example, if a fully vaccinated individual visits with an unvaccinated friend who is seventy years old and therefore at risk of severe disease, the visit should take place outdoors, wearing well-fitted masks, and maintaining physical distance (at least 6 feet).

[…] Thus, fully vaccinated people engaging in social activities in public settings should continue to follow all guidance for these settings including wearing a well-fitted mask, maintaining physical distance (at least 6 feet), avoiding crowds, avoiding poorly ventilated spaces, covering coughs and sneezes, and washing hands frequently.

The mayor pro tem of a Northern California city resigned after he pleaded guilty to election fraud, according to local reports last week.

Crescent City Mayor Pro Tem Alex Campbell entered the plea to making a false declaration of candidacy in Del Norte County’s Superior Court, according to the city’s clerk’s office, as reported by local news outlet Wild Rivers Outpost.

According to local news outlets, Campbell submitted a form to the Del Norte County Clerk on Aug. 6 of last year saying his current address was within the city limits of Crescent City when his actual residence was outside the city’s boundaries, deputy District Attorney Eric Bryant told Del Norte County Superior Court Judge Bob Cochran.

He had faced two felony counts of perjury and one count of false declaration of his candidacy, reported KIEM-TV and Wild Rivers, but the Del Norte County District Attorney agreed to dismiss the perjury charges.

The police defunders have a lot more cops than the taxpayers whose police they want to defund.

Daniel Greenfield, a Shillman Journalism Fellow at the Freedom Center, is an investigative journalist and writer focusing on the radical Left and Islamic terrorism.

In “Surf City,” the Beach Boys sang that there were two girls for every boy. But in Swamp City, there are four cops for every Congressman.

That doesn’t refer to Washington D.C.’s already huge concentration of law enforcement and multiple overlapping police forces. Washington D.C. has the highest ratio of police to people of any major city in the country. There are 650 officers for every 100,000 residents in D.C. That’s 40% higher than any other major city in America including Chicago and Baltimore. It has a 58% higher police ratio than New York, more than double that of Boston, and triple that of L.A.

    Destroying tax-paying middle class Americans.

Ten years ago, Democrats were insisting that wealthy business tycoons and Wall Street fat cats who didn’t “pay their fair share” were the single greatest threat to America. “We are the 99 percent!” was soon to become the battle cry of millions of Obama voters who believed that big businesses were preying upon everyday Americans, and that they were too influential in shaping politics.

Last year, those same multi-billion-dollar corporations and their fat cat leadership were vital allies of the Democrats, central players in a “well-funded cabal” that was “working together behind the scenes to influence perceptions, change the rules and laws, steer media coverage and the flow of information” so that the Democratic nominee would win the election. Those aren’t the words of a right-wing conspiracy theorist, as you may know, but the words of TIME magazine detailing “The Secret History of the Shadow Campaign That Saved the 2020 Election.”

  25. Dragon Ships: China’s Naval Threat
    Peter Schweizer
    7-9 minutes

China’s navy is now the world’s largest. It has been for some time. The U.S. Navy may still rule the oceans, but the Chinese rule the vital trade routes in the South China Sea. They would say their naval buildup is “for defensive purposes,” but their neighbors do not buy that for a minute. Pictured: J15 fighter jets on China’s Liaoning aircraft carrier during a drill at sea, in April 2018. (Photo by AFP via Getty Images)

For Americans used to having the biggest and most modern military forces in the world, it is humbling to realize that China’s Navy is now the world’s largest. It has been for some time. The U.S. Navy may still rule the oceans, but China rules the vital trade routes in the South China Sea.

Pentagon planners know this and have called out China’s work on building both capital ships and the swarms of smaller escort vessels that will project the dragon’s breath across those critical trade routes for years to come. The People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) is building their capability to control and possibly interdict shipping from other Asian nations, mostly as an economic and political lever. China means to threaten the economic security of Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, and others. America must remain resolute in the face of this build-up in order to maintain freedom of commerce in the Asian seas.

In naval warfare strategy, technology has replaced sheer numbers in some ways, as the ability to project power can be achieved less by heavily armed and heavily crewed warships. and more by the development of ships that rely on artificial intelligence and remote control, or on unmanned vehicles that can deliver their ordnance of smart weapons through drones above and beneath the surface. Submarines pose a greater threat than destroyers because of their stealth, but in a direct conflict, the ability to direct air power against coastal targets and hostile warships remains the dominant mode of naval tactics.

Turkey’s armed forces launched a military operation called “Operation Claw-Eagle 2” against the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in northern Iraq on February 10. The assault resulted in the deaths of 13 Turkish hostages, including military and police personnel who were being held by the PKK in a cave complex in the mountainous Gara region.

Turkey’s military operation, in the form of airstrikes, was completed on February 14. Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar announced that 48 PKK members had been “neutralized” in the operation, adding that the PKK had shot the hostages dead — one in the shoulder, and the rest in their heads.

A federal judge has reinstated a Michigan County voting fraud case after the county clerk dismissed it.

This week, Judge Kevin Elsenheimer issued two separate orders to immediately reinstate the Antrim County election fraud case, ruling the clerk’s non-service dismissal was improper.

Antrim County received national attention after it was discovered more than 5,000 votes for President Donald Trump were allegedly flipped to Joe Biden. Michigan Democrat Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson blamed the possible vote switch on a “clerical error.”

Despite those findings, Antrim County Clerk Sheryl Guy dismissed the case without notice. According to reports, Guy claimed the computer malfunction was entirely her fault, resulting in a 7,048 vote swing when only nearly 16,000 votes were cast.

  30. KARMA – I WONDER HOW THAT WILL END.

TWITTER sues Texas AG to avoid investigation into its censorship practices.

On Monday, Twitter filed a complaint in court against Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, who launched an investigation into the platform’s content censorship policies. Twitter argues that Paxton launched the investigation in retaliation to the de-platforming of former president Trump, which the company ironically claims is an abuse of power.

We obtained a copy of the complaint for you here.

“Twitter seeks to stop AG Paxton from unlawfully abusing his authority as the highest law-enforcement officer of the State of Texas to intimidate, harass, and target Twitter in retaliation for Twitter’s exercise of its First Amendment rights,” the company wrote in the court filing.

Following the suspension of Trump’s accounts on most mainstream social media platforms after the Jan 6 riot, Paxton launched an investigation into the moderation policies at Twitter, Facebook, Twitter, Apple, and Amazon.

“First Amendment rights and transparency must be maintained for a free online community to operate and thrive,” Paxton said at the time. “However, the seemingly coordinated de-platforming of the President of the United States and several leading voices not only chills free speech, it wholly silences those whose speech and political beliefs do not align with leaders of Big Tech companies.”

In the court filing, Twitter also argued that it has First Amendment rights that guarantees its freedom to decide what is allowed on the platform. It also claims that it tried to negotiate with the Texas AG to limit the volume of information requested, but the two parties were unable to reach an agreement.

“Instead, AG Paxton made clear that he will use the full weight of his office, including his expansive investigatory powers, to retaliate against Twitter for having made editorial decisions with which he disagrees,” Twitter said.

Twitter’s court filing is one of the latest developments in the war between conservatives and big tech companies. Conservatives view censorship of their content as an attempt to silence them. Therefore, in the midterms and 2024 elections, the rally against big tech companies will be a significant issue for Republicans.
