Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

    The incident took place not far from the state of Katsina where the Boko Haram terrorist group (which has pledged allegiance to the Islamic State group, banned in Russia) has recently kidnapped hundreds of pupils.

    Boko Haram is infamous for numerous attacks and abductions in the western African region. Nigeria, along with Niger, Cameroon, and Chad, are engaged in military operations combating the militants.”

We were each other’s mirror, metaphorically, held to the other’s mouth to check for breath. We were still able to joke as we always have despite feeling the weight of this time. A great weight.

    But, then, the media lies, Roberts is a traitor, Covid killing you is against nearly all odds, business and people are the weeds in the sidewalk crack always trying to defy nature, and if this is to be another economic depression we will manage as we did the last.

    I’m thinking more now about the people who will not manage very well. I’m thinking about every politician, billionaire, cop, bureaucrats and no good leftist do-gooder who has helped commit this crime against humanity. Sooner or later they will be held accountable. This is a certainty because things are going to become much more difficult, and people will change their stance from frustrated and passive to desperate and active. Who does Doug Ford think he is, God? Justin Trudeau? This man believes he runs with the billionaire globalist club, and that he has attained parity with them. In fact, only self-deluding visions of grandeur fool this man’s ego, along with manipulative invitations by George Soros, and other architects of our demise, to the privileged nest of the best of humanity. If only Dear Leader understood how truly low he is regarded by his puppet masters.

    Law-abiding citizens need not break laws to break tyranny. It is the tyrants who are unlawful. They reveal themselves now on a daily basis. They will seal their own fate.

    Europeans must sort out their own mess. That United States of Europe concept was not well conceived. Thinking it was possible to dissolve 1000-year-old countries and cultures into each other was the kind of vision only a radical leftist has–they always see what they want to see and not the reality staring at them!

    North America is a different matter. We are, essentially, one nation without admitting to this fact. (Mexico not included.) The United States of North America is what it will become at the dawn of our new day. The millions and millions of good people who cherish our freedoms will not sit idly by and allow CCP-driven Democrats and Liberals to take over. The rivers that flow between us, the birds that fly north and south, and the billions in goods and services know nothing of this border.

    “A WOMAN who wielded a Samurai sword to defend herself from burglars trying to steal her car was “totally blameless” after one crook suffered life-threatening cuts to his hands.

    A judge said the homeowner was protecting her property and feared career criminal Rehan Malik would seize the weapon and use it on her. The 23-year-old thief from Bradford severed nerves in his hands attempting to grab the sword and may never recover mobility. On remand, he relied on a cellmate to be his “carer” as he cannot perform basic bodily functions alone.

    But judge Jonathan Rose said Malik’s victim was “blameless” for the injuries he suffered.

    Malik was one of three masked raiders who smashed their way into a property in Shipley,WestYorks, in the early hours of October 25.

    The woman owner’s partner grabbed the decorative weapon after being confronted by a masked man demanding keys to their Audi S3 car.

    But when the trio attempted to drive off they got stuck in the garage’s mechanical doors.

    Bradford Crown Court heard that the couple tried to stop the vehicle being driven off. In the stand-off the woman pointed the sword at rear-seat passenger Malik.

    Clare Walsh, prosecuting, said Malik grabbed the sword and attempted to pull it away, slashing his hands in the process and leaving his blood in the vehicle.

    The gang fled in a getaway car and Malik was taken almost 40 miles to Barnsley to get treatment to avoid detection.

    Police checked up on hospitals in the region and discovered Malik’s whereabouts.

    He spent five days in hospital and would have died from blood loss without receiving transfusions.

    Defence barrister Shufqat Khan said the “life-threatening and lifechanging injury” had led Malik to decide to change his crooked ways.

    He was jailed for three years eight months after also admitting dangerous driving, driving while disqualified and without insurance.

    Judge Jonathan Rose told him: “You have no one at all to blame for the injuries to your hands other than yourself.””

    “One woman died and another two were rescued Friday from the sea off the eastern Greek island of Lesbos in an incident involving an inflatable dinghy carrying Somali migrants.

    Greece’s coast guard said 24 migrants who were located safe on shore early Friday told authorities that three women had fallen into the sea as their boat approached Lesbos, and were still missing.

    Patrol boats and a helicopter combed the area, and several hours later found two women alive in the water and the body of a third, a coast guard statement said.

    The migrants told authorities they were from Somalia and had crossed over from the nearby Turkish coast.

    Rescuers continued to search the area for traces of a migrant-trafficker thought to have been on the boat and to have also ended up in the water.

    The United Nations refugee agency, UNHCR, expressed deep distress at the accident.

    More than 15,000 migrants and refugees have entered Greece illegally so far this year, most crossing from Turkey to the nearby Greek islands in unseaworthy boats provided by trafficking gangs…”

    “Police arrested three Pakistani migrants in Thessaloniki, Greece, after they had allegedly held eight people hostage, ransoming their freedom.

    The three men, aged 19, 20, and 22, are accused of several charges such as forming a criminal organisation, illegal imprisonment, kidnapping, aiding illegal migration, and uttering threats.

    Police found the eight victims, six men from Pakistan and two women from the Dominican Republic, in an abandoned warehouse in the city. The illegal migrants said they had been held against their will, Proto Thema reports.

    According to investigators, the migrants were illegally smuggled across the Greek border with Turkey, in the Evros region, before being brought to Thessaloniki, where the Pakistanis demanded cash from their families in exchange for releasing them.

    The money was not paid, and the Pakistanis then reportedly made threats and committed acts of violence against the hostages. The two women also claim the Pakistanis sexually abused them and harassed them…”

    “Police arrested a 22-year-old Syrian migrant in the Evros region near the Greek border with Turkey in possession of ten Turkish-made Zoraki pistols.

    The arrest took place on Tuesday in the village of Gemisti, which lies just minutes away from the border with Turkey. According to investigators, the migrant was also found with 8,000 ecstasy pills.

    His arrest was as a result of a sting operation, during which an undercover Greek security officer posed as a buyer interested in purchasing firearms and drugs for €14,000.

    The Hellenic Police (ELAS) say that the seizure is just one of many of Turkish-made weapons in the last several weeks, including an operation involving the European police agency Europol in November, the newspaper I Kathimerini reported on Thursday…”

    “A French law professor has been placed under police protection after referring to religions, including Islam, as “sexually transmitted” during a lecture to around 600 students in October.

    The 50-year-old associate professor, who works at Aix-Marseille University (AMU), is alleged to have said both Islam and Judaism are, after a fashion, sexually transmitted.

    She said: “One of the biggest problems we have with Islam, and it is not the only one, unfortunately, is that Islam does not recognise freedom of conscience. It’s still absolutely terrifying.”

    The French Human Rights League has filed an official criminal complaint for the use of a “racial slur”. Since her identity was revealed, the professor has received death threats and is now under police protection, Le Point reports.

    According to a report from broadcaster France Info, she added: “The beheading of a history-geography teacher who said and did what he had the right and the duty to do, comes from there. We have no freedom of conscience in Islam!”

    “So if you are born to a Muslim father, you are a Muslim for life. A kind of sexually transmitted religion… It sounds like Judaism. It’s the same. It’s from the mother. A kind of STD, an STR, sexually transmitted religion,” the professor said.

    The lecturer referenced the October beheading of teacher Samuel Paty, who was killed by a Chechen refugee in the street after showing cartoons of the Islamic prophet Mohammed to his class during a lesson on freedom of expression.

    The professor later defended her comments, saying: “I talked about sexually transmitted religion, not a disease: if you consider that you cannot renounce Islam when you were born into a Muslim family, [that] you are Muslim by the father, and you cannot leave, that makes Islam a sexually transmitted religion, which is not conceivable.”

    “There is no blood-borne religion. It is a matter of free will in whatever religion,” she said.

    Leaving Islam — apostasy — is a crime punishable by death under Islamic law.

    Since the death of Mr Paty, threats against teachers and other Republic officials have “exploded”, according to one judicial source.

    In French schools alone, nearly 800 incidents of apologism for terrorism or praising terrorism were reported by the end of November.”

    The planet Venus once likely had surface temperatures similar to present-day Earth, recent modelling has revealed.

    It probably also had oceans, rain, perhaps snow, maybe continents and plate tectonics.

    But Venus’s climate was permanently altered when catastrophic volcanic eruptions released vast quantities of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.

    Could Venus’s fate hold stark lessons for us here on Earth?

    We can learn a lot about climate change from Venus, our sister planet. Venus currently has a surface temperature of 450? (the temperature of an oven’s self-cleaning cycle) and an atmosphere dominated by carbon dioxide (96 per cent) with a density 90 times that of Earth’s.

    Venus is a very strange place, totally uninhabitable, except perhaps in the clouds some 60 kilometres up where the recent discovery of phosphine may suggest floating microbial life. But the surface is totally inhospitable.

    However, Venus once likely had an Earth-like climate. According to recent climate modelling, for much of its history Venus had surface temperatures similar to present day Earth. It likely also had oceans, rain, perhaps snow, maybe continents and plate tectonics, and even more speculatively, perhaps even surface life.

    Less than one billion years ago, the climate dramatically changed due to a runaway greenhouse effect. It can be speculated that an intensive period of volcanism pumped enough carbon dioxide into the atmosphere to cause this great climate change event that evaporated the oceans and caused the end of the water cycle.

    Evidence of change

    This hypothesis from the climate modellers inspired Sara Khawja, a master’s student in my group (co-supervised with geoscientist Claire Samson), to look for evidence in Venusian rocks for this proposed climatic change event.

    Since the early 1990s, my Carleton University research team — and more recently my Siberian team at Tomsk State University — have been mapping and interpreting the geological and tectonic history of Earth’s remarkable sister planet.

    Soviet Venera and Vega missions of the 1970s and 1980s did land on Venus and take pictures and evaluated the composition of the rocks, before the landers failed due to the high temperature and pressure. However, our most comprehensive view of the surface of Venus has been provided by NASA’s Magellan spacecraft in the early 1990s, which used radar to see through the dense cloud layer and produce detailed images of more than 98 per cent of Venus’s surface.

    Ancient rocks

    Our search for geological evidence of the great climate change event led us to focus on the oldest type of rocks on Venus, called tesserae, which have a complex appearance suggestive of a long, complicated geological history. We thought that these oldest rocks had the best chance of preserving evidence of water erosion, which is a such an important process on Earth and should have occurred on Venus prior to the great climate change event.

    Given poor resolution altitude data, we used an indirect technique to try to recognize ancient river valleys. We demonstrated that younger lava flows from the surrounding volcanic plains had filled valleys in the margins of tesserae.

    To our astonishment these tesserae valley patterns were very similar to river flow patterns on Earth, leading to our suggestion that these tesserae valleys were formed by river erosion during a time with Earth-like climatic conditions. My Venus research groups at Carleton and Tomsk State universities are studying the post-tesserae lava flows for any geological evidence of the transition to extremely hot conditions.

    Earth analogies

    In order to understand how volcanism on Venus could produce such a change in climate, we can look to Earth history for analogues. We can find analogies in super-eruptions like the last eruption at Yellowstone that occurred 630,000 years.

    But such volcanism is small compared to large igneous provinces (LIPs) that occur approximately every 20-30 million years. These eruption events can release enough carbon dioxide to cause catastrophic climate change on Earth, including mass extinctions. To give you a sense of scale, consider that the smallest LIPs produce enough magma to cover all of Canada to a depth of about 10 metres. The largest known LIP produced enough magma that would have covered an area the size of Canada to a depth of nearly eight kilometres.

    The LIP analogues on Venus include individual volcanoes that are up to 500 kilometres across, extensive lava channels that reach up to 7,000 kilometres long, and there are also associated rift systems — where the crust is pulling apart — up to 10,000 kilometres long.

    If LIP-style volcanism was the cause of the great climate change event on Venus , then could similar climate change happen on Earth? We can imagine a scenario many millions of years in the future when multiple LIPs randomly occurring at the same time could cause Earth to have such runaway climate change leading to conditions like present-day Venus.

    A little girl was lured into a flat by a 21-year-old man last Wednesday and raped there. The Ansbach Criminal Investigation Department is now appealing to the public and is looking for further alleged victims.

    On December 15, 2020, a girl on her way home from school in Ansbach was lured into a flat by a 21-year-old Syrian national under a pretext and severely sexually assaulted there. The suspect was arrested on the same day and has since been remanded in custody.

    Initial criminal investigations by the criminal police in Ansbach revealed concrete evidence of at least one further case of serious sexual abuse of a female child. According to initial interrogations, this assault occurred in July 2020, also in Ansbach.

    The criminal investigation department in Ansbach is currently conducting numerous interrogations and examining further traces and clues. Based on the current results of the investigation, it cannot be ruled out that other children or adolescents, both boys and girls, have become victims of the alleged suspect.

  31. Brazil’s Bolsonaro mocks possible side effects of Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine

    Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro criticised Pfizer vaccine contracts for allegedly not taking responsibility for possible side effects, when speaking in Porto Seguro on Thursday.

    “Over there at Pfizer, it’s really clear in the contract: ‘We don’t hold responsibility for any side effects.’ If you become a crocodile, it’s your problem,” said the Brazilian president.

    Earlier, Pfizer said that the final analysis of the Phase 3 trial showed that the vaccine had 95 percent efficacy and reported “no serious safety concerns.”

    When speaking at a virtual briefing of the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers & Associations (IFPMA) on December 8, Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla said that the COVID-19 vaccine development saw “politicisation,” warning against having a discussion on vaccines “in political rather than in scientific terms.”

    The Supreme Court of Brazil has almost unanimously endorsed allowing the Government to declare the obligatory nature of vaccination against COVID-19, provided that people are not forced to be vaccinated against their will. 🙂 🙂 🙁 🙁

      CARLSON: The first reports of mysterious new virus spreading through Central China reached the West last winter. This show first reported on COVID in January back before it had a name. That was nearly a year ago.

      For the past 11 months, the world has been waiting with increasing desperation for a cure, for a vaccine. More than a million and a half people have died. Now the vaccine has finally arrived and a new vaccine just today approved.

      We should be rejoicing in this, and yet, many Americans are reluctant to take the vaccine. Why? Well, it’s not all superstition. There are rational reasons to be skeptical to ask questions. There’s never in history been a successful vaccine for any variety of the coronavirus.

      The last one that scientists developed for SARS proved too dangerous to bring to market, nor has any vaccine ever been developed as quickly as this one. The only attempt that came close was the mumps vaccine back in 1967 and that took four years. This took months.

      The authorities assure us that this new vaccine is completely safe, and of course, we want to believe that badly. On the other hand, it’s not crazy to wonder. You may have seen video of that nurse in Chattanooga yesterday passing out cold after getting her shot.

      You may have seen the press conference on Tuesday in San Antonio, where a healthcare worker received a fake vaccination on camera. He got the needle in the arm, but he didn’t actually get a dose. The hospital conceded that’s what happened, but never explained it.

      So it’s fair to have questions. You are not a conspiracy nut for wanting answers.

      On the other hand, rushed development and a clumsy rollout do not fully explain many people’s reluctance to take this drug. The worry goes deeper than that. The concern isn’t simply the vaccine, it is the people in charge of the vaccine and their basic moral rottenness.

      Americans understand that many of our leaders really don’t care about them. They don’t care about human beings in general. They are ideologues. They are religious fanatics who worship their secular gods: money, power, and wokeness.

      Whether their policies help or hurt individuals doesn’t seem of great interest to them. These are the people who removed police from poor neighborhoods, because it made them feel less guilty about their own pampered lives and their own ill-gotten wealth.

      As a result of that decision, many Americans died, including small children, but they kept doing it. They never apologized. Human suffering seemed irrelevant to them. It was the theory that mattered.

      Unfortunately, some of these very same people, the worst and are already unimpressive professional class are now in charge of the coronavirus vaccine, and that should make you nervous.

      Tonight, officials of the CDC are debating how to distribute the vaccine. Who gets it first and on the basis of what criteria? That decision, will, to some extent determine who lives and who dies. It’s a big decision and it shouldn’t be complicated.

      According to the CDC’s own models, the way to save the most Americans is to give the vaccine to frontline healthcare workers first, and then to the elderly, meaning people over the age of 65.

      Older people are by far the most vulnerable as we now know well. Every other age group has a survival rate over 99.9%. That’s why in Britain, authorities are giving the vaccine to the elderly as quickly as they can.

      But in this country, a panel of ideologues at the CDC has decided that the elderly should not be at the front of the line. The Center’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices has made a different determination, and the reasoning is simple, old people in this country are too white to save.

      Now that sounds shocking because it is shocking, but they put it in writing. The CDC’s Vaccine Advisory Committee unanimously approved recommendations last month from a doctor called Kathleen Dooling.

      According to Dooling’s presentation, it is true that more lives would be saved if the elderly received priority access to the vaccine, but here’s the problem. Quote, “Racial and ethnic minority groups are underrepresented among adults aged 65 and older.” Therefore the elderly should not be a top priority.

      According to the CDC’s panel, another group, those officially classified as, quote, “non-healthcare essential workers” should get the vaccine first. Why is that? Quote, “Racial and ethnic minority groups are disproportionately represented in many essential industries,” end quote. In other words, it’s entirely racial. They are making the decision based on race.

      Kathleen Dooling’s presentation concluded that doling out life-saving medicine on the basis of skin color would quote, “mitigate health inequities.” Of course, it would kill people and she effectively concedes that, but the people who would kill come from a disfavored race, so it’s not a big deal.

      It’s been a very long time since anyone close to what we would consider the mainstream has endorsed eugenics. That’s exactly what that is. It’s eugenics. But suddenly it’s everywhere.

      Earlier this month, “The New York Times” supposedly our greatest newspaper, interviewed a leading expert on medical ethics and vaccination at the University of Pennsylvania. He is a man called Harold Schmidt.

      Here is how Harald Schmidt advised the CDC, quote, “Older populations are whiter. Society is structured in a way that enables them to live longer. Instead of giving additional health benefits to those who already have more of them, we can start to level the playing field a bit.”

      Level the playing field? That means intentionally causing people’s deaths because they’re the wrong color. When was the last time you heard someone say something like that out loud in this country? Probably not since around 1945. That’s when we all agree that letting certain people die because of their race was bad public policy, not to mention evil.

      But suddenly our leaders have forgotten that lesson. It’s like the Second World War never happened.

      In the same New York Times piece that quotes Harald Schmidt, yet another doctor makes a similar point. His name is Marc Lipsitch. He’s an epidemiologist at Harvard. Here’s why he thinks teachers should not be included in the now favorite category of non-healthcare essential workers, quote, “Teachers have middle class salaries, are very often white, and they have college degrees.” In other words, wrong color, not essential.

      Is the hair on anyone else’s arms standing up? What the hell is going on? Talk like that, from the people in charge makes the population highly paranoid and fearful about the future, and it should.

      In California, the governor has already announced the state will distribute medicine based on how people look.

      CARLSON: So certain ethnicities will get the vaccine first because of their ethnicity, says the Governor of California. It doesn’t matter if that policy winds up killing more people or is not based in science, because it’s not based in science.

      In fact, maybe that’s the point. It’ll level the playing field.

      In Oregon, the head of the Public Health Department, Rachael Banks has made the same commitment. If you want the vaccine, you had better not be white. Quote, “We have a variety of ways to ensure there’s equitable distribution, both geographically and particularly focused on communities of color who has seen unfair disproportion impact from COVID-19.”

      To get a little more specific, Oregon’s Health Authority has released a statement that promises that quote, “Black indigenous, Latino, Latina Latinx, Pacific Islander and tribal communities will have quote, ‘equitable access to vaccination,’” meaning first dibs.

      In a world like this where even vaccines are distributed on the basis of skin color, it is no wonder that many have decided to transition to a new race. Why wouldn’t they? It doesn’t pay to be in your old race.

      In Oregon, a group of Slavic-Americans has petitioned the state’s coalition of communities of color for membership, and it was granted, so they are no longer white.

      Apparently, now, there was Nancy Pelosi. She was one of the first people in the country to get the vaccine. So Pelosi is now a person of color, as well as essential, which at this point, are basically the same thing.

      That is the consensus now all over the country from our leaders.

      CARLSON: This is insanity. When you are planning to distribute life-saving medicines on the basis of race, not on the basis of science, but on the basis of race, you are by definition dividing the country more deeply and more permanently, really, then you could under any circumstances. Nothing is worse than that if you want a cohesive country.

      The case they are making when you’re the right color, you’re essential. And that makes sense considering that increasingly, your color is your essence. It’s the most important thing about you.

      In this case, you could determine whether you live or die. That’s the country they are creating. So is it any wonder that this vaccine rollout makes people nervous?

    General Michael Flynn schooled Rep. Adam Kitzinger (R-IL) after the anti-Trump RINO lawmaker suggested that the military could not be deployed to re-do the disputed 2020 presidential election marred with irregularities.

    Kitzinger made a pathetic Twitter post in which he begged for a return of the Bush-era Republican Party that everybody hated and was regularly smoked at the polls by former president Barack Hussein Obama.

      Army brass rejects calls for martial law: ‘No role’ for military in determining election outcome

      Army leaders distanced the U.S. military from the American election process Friday as several prominent allies of President Trump proposed he declare martial law in light of losing his race for reelection.

      “There is no role for the U.S. military in determining the outcome of an American election,” Army Secretary Ryan McCarthy and Army Chief of Staff Gen. James McConville said in a joint statement.

      Several well-known supporters of Mr. Trump, ranging from former presidential advisers to a current Virginia state senator, have suggested he deploy the military to somehow either prove massive voter fraud invalidating Mr. Biden‘s victory or perhaps to oversee a do-over of the election.

      Appearing on TV earlier this week, Michael T. Flynn, a retired Army lieutenant general and former Trump adviser, recommended the president deploy the military to “basically rerun” the election he lost.

      That interview Thursday on Newsmax was not the first time Mr. Flynn, who pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI and was later pardoned by the president, recommended Mr. Trump deploy the military due to his defeat.

      Mr. Flynn shared a press release on social media earlier this month similarly urging Mr. Trump to invoke “limited martial law” and have the military conduct a “revote” of the presidential election.

      Virginia state Sen. Amanda F. Chase, a Republican candidate for governor, endorsed that idea Monday on Facebook in a post: “President Trump should declare martial law as recommended by General Flynn.”

      Other politicians who recently suggested Mr. Trump declare martial law and put the military in charge include former Republican congressional hopefuls Omar Navarro of California and Duane Hennen of Ohio.

      Rep. Adam Kinzinger, Illinois Republican and U.S. Air Force veteran, recently said putting the military in control is “insane.” Former congressman Alan Grayson, Florida Democrat, has called talk of using the military “sedition” and any actual acting upon the request to be “treason.”

      Leaders of federal agencies responsible for ensuring the election process occurred securely attest they were successful, and no credible evidence has emerged to corroborate any claims suggesting otherwise.

      Numerous courts have also rejected lawsuits brought by Republicans challenging the election, making military deployment among the last drastic options remaining for the president to try to remain in power.

      Mr. Biden is set to be sworn in as president on Jan. 20.

    A hospital in Illinois halted COVID-19 vaccinations after four workers suffered adverse reactions.

    The workers at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville suffered tingling and an elevated heartrate, Advocate Aurora Health said in a statement to news outlets.

    “Out of an abundance of caution, we are temporarily pausing vaccinations at Condell, which will allow us time to better understand what may have caused these reactions. We have eight other vaccination locations in Illinois and three in Wisconsin and are continuing at those sites as planned with no disruption,” Advocate said.

    One of the workers was continuing to receive treatment on Friday while the other three were at home and “doing well,” the statement said.
