Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

    “According to the Finnish authorities, the criminal league operated in Finland and Greece since at least the autumn of 2019, providing forged Finnish and British passports for illegal entry.

    An organised criminal group engaged in an international people smuggling operation has been uncovered by the the Finnish Coast Guard in the Gulf of Finland District.

    According to the Coast Guard statement, the group consists mainly of residents of Finland and Greece. The culprits are suspected of organising illicit travel for undocumented migrants into Finland and other countries in Europe.

    The investigation kicked off in mid-July, when Estonian police notified the Finnish Border Guard of a forged British passport shown at Tallinn Airport. The person in question also produced documents referring to Finland.

    In joint collaboration, the Crime Prevention Unit of the Finnish Coast Guard and the Estonian authorities identified a permanent resident of Finland who was found to have supplied the forged passport to the individual who was stopped in Tallinn, and accompanied that individual from Helsinki to Tallinn Airport.

    “As a result of the investigation, a criminal league operating at least in Finland and Greece since at least the autumn of 2019 was uncovered. The league organised forged Finnish and British passports for illegal entry,” the Finnish Coast Guard said. The passports were subsequently delivered to members of the group by couriers travelling between Finland and Greece.

    In late October, several Finnish passports and residence permits, a Finnish identity card and health services card were found in the possession of a person suspected of belonging to the gang who was apprehended at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport. Components of future documents were also found in their luggage. The suspect was identified as the likely courier transporting documents to Greece for forgery and use in illegal entry.

    “Some of these documents found in the person’s possession had been reported as stolen, but some are suspected of having been sold to the group”, Jukka Tekokoski of the Gulf of Finland Coast Guard Crime Prevention Unit said in a press release.

    Since then, a number of arrests and home searches have been conducted in various parts of Helsinki. The investigation is being carried out with the participation of authorities in Estonia and Greece, who plan for the prosecution and trial to start sometime in December 2020.”

    “British authorities have arrested 72 people after dozens of Albanian illegals were found on a fishing boat off of the English coast.

    The National Crime Agency (FCA), the British equivalent of the FBI, arrested the 69 illegals found hidden beneath the deck of the 100-foot vessel the Syanic, which was intercepted off of the Suffolk county coast, having sailed from the Belgian port of Ostend. Authorities also arrested the ship’s crew, comprised of two Ukrainians and one from the EU member state of Latvia.

    Details were released on Thursday, with local media the East Anglian Daily Times reporting the raid took place when UK Border Force cutters the Vigilant and Searcher intercepted the fishing boat late on Tuesday, bringing it ashore in the early hours of Wednesday.

    Authorities said it was the combined operation of 250 officers from Essex Police, the NCA, Immigration Enforcement, and UK Border Force, with support from abroad, in a massive show of force on illegal immigration after the country has seen record-breaking illegal boat landings across the English Channel this year.

    The 69 Albanians are being investigated on suspicion of illegal entry into the United Kingdom, while the NCA is questioning the Ukrainians and Latvian in relation to facilitating illegal migration.

    Reportedly the biggest bust of its kind this year, the incident is unusual as the vast majority of some 8,500 illegals to have landed on British shores did so under their own power in rubber dinghies and other small craft or were intercepted by British authorities during the efforts of crossing the English Channel in such vessels and brought the rest of the way…”

    “President Emmanuel Macron has given the French Council of the Muslim Faith (CFCM) two weeks to agree to a “Republican values charter” and vow to end all practices of political Islam.

    The French leader, alongside Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin, met with eight of the nine representatives of the CFCM and demanded the group draft and ratify a “charter of Republican values” as soon as possible.

    “There will be those who sign and those who will not sign. We’ll learn from it. Either you are with the Republic or you are not with the Republic,” Macron told the representatives, Le Figaro reports.

    According to the newspaper, Macron gave the group two main conditions: to end “all practices of political Islam” and “commit to putting an end to any foreign interference”.

    Those groups which refuse to agree to the conditions will be viewed as “separatists”, an adviser told the paper, noting that Macron would not compromise on either subject.

    The president also pushed for the creation of a French National Council of Imams and called on the CFCM to come up with their own guidelines for the training of Muslim religious leaders using the model of the Orders of Lawyers and Physicians as a guide.

    The project was already in the works and expected to be rolled out by the end of the first quarter of 2021, but due to the recent terrorist attacks, Macron has ordered the policy be expedited.

    Chems-Eddine Hafiz, the rector of the Paris mosque, commented on Macron’s push to fight Islamist ideology, saying: “The president is asking for an unambiguous commitment to fight Islamism. If he fights it without any electoral ulterior motives, I fully adhere to it.”…”

    “Azerbaijan’s president declared Friday that his forces have taken control of the Aghdam region, a territory ceded by Armenia in a cease-fire agreement that ended the fighting over Nagorno-Karabakh.

    The truce, brokered by Russia last week, stipulated that Armenia hand over control of some areas its holds outside Nagorno-Karabakh’s borders to Azerbaijan. Aghdam is the first one to be turned over.

    Two boys who claim to have been kidnapped, beaten, raped and buried alive in a ten-hour ordeal have given their terrifying account of the attack to Swedish police.

    The pair described a night of terror that unfolded in a cemetery in the Solna region, north of Stockholm, on August 22 – beginning with an offer of drugs, and ending with them looking like they’d ‘showered in blood’.

    During the assault, the pair say they were kicked and punched countless times, stabbed, burned, stripped naked and forced to dig their own graves.

    Two men, aged 21 and 18, have been arrested over the assault. Police have not yet identified the pair.

    On Thursday, police released the findings of their investigation along with the first images of the scene and the attackers which were published by Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet. Images of the accused were pixellated by police.

    The victims said the attack began around 11pm when the two accused approached them on a footpath near the cemetery and offered to sell them drugs.

    The boys refused and tried to keep walking, but said they were threatened with a knife and dragged away into some nearby woods.

    During the ordeal, the pair said the attackers kept threatening to harm their families, claiming to know where they lived.

    Once in the woods, the boys say they were beaten with punches and kicks before being taken into the cemetery where they were stripped of their clothes.

    The attackers asked them for money, searched their pockets, took their bank cards and then demanded details so they could use them.

    Their mobile phones were taken away and tossed into the woods to stop them from calling for help, the boys said.

    The attackers then produced a shovel, the boys claims, and forced them to dig shallow graves, keeping them at knife-point so they couldn’t run away.

    All the while they were punched and kicked, the boys said, with one saying it was ‘difficult to get a grip on how many’ blows they were dealt.

    The boys said they were gagged using their own socks and torn jeans, while other clothing was used to bind their legs and their belts were used as handcuffs.

    Over the next several hours, they claim to have been stabbed, burned with cigarette lighters, and one of the boys claims to have been raped.

    Around 3.30am, the boys said they were forced to lie down in the pits, and effectively buried alive.

    ‘I just tried to be as cooperative as possible and protect my head,’ one of the boys said, ‘I lay there trembling because it is so cold, almost the majority of the night.’

    But the following morning, fearing they would be killed if they did not do something, the boys decided to make a run for it.

    The opportunity came when the alleged attackers wandered a short distance away, allowing the pair to make a break for it.

    ‘It was either running and dying or not running and dying. And we managed to run without dying,’ one boy said.

    While fleeing the boys happened upon a passerby, who alerted the police around 8.40am. Officers arrived to find the boys injured and undressed, but alive.

    Police quickly arrested both of the suspects, who have been charged with kidnapping, aggravated assault, rape and aggravated robbery.

    One of the suspects was wearing items of the victim at the time of his arrest, according to local reports.

    Both suspects have denied the charges against them.

    Von der Leyen cited Europe’s role in the development of a COVID-19 vaccine. “Funding in the Covax facility is $1.8 billion (€1.5 billion) of which 800 million team Europe, so the European Commission and European states have funded.” She also commented on the priorities in terms of contracts for vaccines: “one of the main negotiating point in the contracts for the vaccines is of course liability, so they have to be effective and they have to be safe.”

    Saudia Arabia will host this year’s G20 summit, albeit in virtual form rather than physical due to the ongoing pandemic.

    Former Secretary of State John Kerry attended a panel discussion at the World Economic Forum during which he asserted that a great reset was urgently needed to stop the rise of populism.

    Kerry vowed that under a Biden administration, America would rejoin the job-killing Paris Climate Agreement but that this was “not enough.”

    “The notion of a reset is more important than ever before,” Kerry said. “I personally believe … we’re at the dawn of an extremely exciting time.”

    The former Senator made it clear that this “reset,” which is merely a re-branding of the same new world order that has faced stiff resistance for the past two decades, is necessary to extinguish populism.

    “I think Europe has to look at that with Brexit and the rising national populism — nationalistic populism,” said Kerry. “Which is really one of the priorities that we all have to address. You can’t dismiss it.”

    Speaking about how Trump increased his vote in 2020, Kerry noted, “What astounds me is that as many people still voted for the level of chaos and breach of law and order and breaking the standards and … I think that, the underlying reason for that is something that everybody has to examine.”

    European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen also welcomed the prospect of Biden as a “friend in the White House” to the globalists and said the two entities would work on “a new rulebook for the digital economy and the digital society.”

    “The need for global cooperation and this acceleration of change will both be drivers of the Great Reset. And I see this as an unprecedented opportunity,” said von der Leyen.

    As we have exhaustively documented, “The Great Reset” is merely the latest incarnation of the agenda to centralize power into the hands of a tiny elite, disenfranchising Americans, lowering their living standards and forcing them to submit to a social credit score system that will eliminate all privacy and personal autonomy.

    “Al-Qaeda chief Ayman al-Zawahiri has died of natural causes, Pakistani media claimed today, following persistent rumours of the terrorist leader’s demise.

    Security sources in Pakistan and Afghanistan told Arab News that Zawahiri was dead, possibly succumbing to asthma following ‘breathing issues’.

    Last heard from in a message on the anniversary of 9/11, Zawahiri’s health and longevity have long been in doubt, although reports of his death have proved incorrect in the past.

    The Egyptian-born doctor was second-in-command to Osama bin Laden and took over the terrorist network after the Saudi’s death in 2011, but its influence has waned and al-Qaeda is now widely seen as a shadow of its former self.

    One of the sources who spoke to Arab News was an al-Qaeda translator said to maintain close ties with the group, who said Zawahiri had died in Afghanistan.

    ‘He died of asthma because he had no formal treatment,’ the translator told the outlet’s Pakistani edition.

    A Pakistani security official in tribal areas near the Afghan border said ‘we are firm that he has died of natural causes’ following persistent rumours.

    Another Pakistani source, a security officer with knowledge of anti-terror operations, said they had information that Zawahiri had died around a month ago.

    A source to the terrorist group in Afghanistan said Zawahiri had died earlier this month and that funeral prayers had already taken place.

    ‘What we know is that he was having some breathing issues and has passed away somewhere in Afghanistan,’ they said.

    Western security experts and officials have yet to confirm Zawahiri’s death, but Rita Katz, the head of jihadism monitoring group SITE, said last week that it was ‘very plausible’.

    ‘It is very typical of al-Qaeda to not publish news about the death of its leaders in a timely manner,’ she said….”

    “Opening up is the premise of national progress, and closure will inevitably lead to backwardness. In today’s world, the trend of economic globalisation is irreversible. We will never go back in history,” Xi Jinping stated.

    “The epidemic will eventually pass, and victory is bound to come” he added, encouraging the audience to join hands and stand in the same boat helping each other for a smooth internal and external circulation to “jointly create a better future for the Asia-Pacific region and the world.”

    The APEC meeting happened one week after China and 14 other Asia-Pacific countries signed the world’s biggest trade deal, called the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), which does not include the United States.

    “In the aftermath of the Islamist murder of Samuel Paty, a teacher in the Paris no-go suburbs has claimed up to one-third of her pupils openly question freedom of expression and say it is “not normal” to criticise Islam.

    The teacher said that after the 2015 Charlie Hebdo attacks there was a feeling of unity among the pupils. But after the recent murder of Samuel Paty, who was beheaded on the street last month after showing his class Mohammed cartoons published by the satirical magazine during a lesson of freedom of expression, the general attitude was much different.

    “After the attack on Charlie Hebdo in January 2015, there was spontaneously a form of national unity. Of course, we heard phrases like: ‘They asked for it.’ We heard pupils say that, but it was very rare,” she told Ouest France.

    Following the murder of Paty, who was killed by an Islamist Chechen refugee just outside of Paris, the teacher asked her class about the murder. She said a third of her pupils responded with remarks like, “It is not normal to criticise Islam,” and “it was better before when there was no freedom of expression.”

    “At the end, I told them, to lighten the mood: ‘Reassure me, you’re not going to behead me?’ One pupil said: ‘Don’t worry. Not you’,” she said.

    The teacher’s comments echo those expressed by a teacher in the Paris suburbs of Seine-Saint-Denis following the murder of Paty, who stated that his class had cheered at a video of Pakistanis burning French flags in response to the publication of the Mohammed cartoons.

    “I thought it would make them think, but most of the pupils stood up and applauded,” the teacher said.

    Just days after the attack, teachers in Morbihan received death threats explicitly referencing the beheading of Paty, demanding a 100 bitcoin (£987,033/$1,286,797) ransom to stop the teachers suffering the same fate.

    A French judicial source later told media that death threats towards teachers and others had surged after the Paty murder, saying: “It’s exploding! There are many threats against public figures, the President of the Republic, the Prime Minister, several ministers, deputies, teachers.””

    HARRISBURG — A deeply divided state House on Thursday voted to approve a Republican-sponsored measure that sets up a near-immediate audit of the 2020 election, citing inconsistencies and confusion in the electorate as evidence the process must be improved for future elections in the state.

    The chamber voted 112 to 90 for a resolution that told the Legislative Budget and Finance Committee, or a contractor it will hire, to conduct the audit and report back by early February.

    Republicans argued they were responding to constituents who were confused by some of the procedures as the state conducted a high-turnout election during a pandemic and under greatly expanded mail-in voting eligibility.

    Democratic arguments that the measure should be revised or was unconstitutional were defeated by the GOP majority.

    “There is no need to fear this audit. I welcome it. We all should welcome it, to find out what went right and what went wrong,” said Bedford County Rep. Jesse Topper, the prime sponsor of the resolution.

    The resolution does not require approval by Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf or the state Senate. There is no limit on how much the committee can spend on the study.

    Separately, the Department of State plans another “risk limiting” audit under a pilot program to apply statistical tools that will measure the election’s accuracy and check for possible interference.

    This second audit is to involve data from every county.

    Democrats attacked the proposal, calling it unconstitutional, damaging to democracy and unnecessary.

    Mr. Wolf issued a written statement by email during the debate, saying any audit done by this approach would be “incomplete, duplicative and unreliable.”

    The committee is expected to generate a report that is to include, for each county and for the state as a whole:

    • For both absentee and mail-in ballots, the number of applications received, the number that were approved by the county board of elections, and the number returned by voters that were subsequently canvassed.

    • The number of qualified voters who used provisional ballots.

    • The number of applications for absentee ballots from people who were not registered to vote, but subsequently did submit a voter registration application in time for the election — and the same information concerning mail-in ballots.

    • For each county, the date and time that the county board of elections began pre-canvassing absentee ballots and mail-in ballots.

    Reviews of incidents with voting machines; of “any inconsistent treatment” of mail-in ballots received after 8 p.m. on Election Day; of any inconsistencies in the way counties processed “deficient” ballots; and of access given to poll watchers and “authorized representatives.”

    The House vote came the day after its State Government Committee approved the resolution in a party-line vote.

    Mr. Topper, State Government Committee interim Chairman Seth Grove and other Republicans said the need for the audit was not suspected fraud but a widespread uncertainty that the election had been conducted fairly and in even-handed fashion across the state.

    The resolution cites as a reason for the audit a “litany of inconsistencies” in the way the election was carried out and a resulting loss of public confidence. It says “Pennsylvania citizens have questioned the process by which the 2020 general election has been conducted.”

    Mr. Topper noted that within his own district, one county allowed certain ballots to be “cured” — or have procedural mistakes corrected — while another did not.

    “That’s not fraud, but that’s confusion in the district that I represent,” Mr. Topper said.

Powell said that there was an algorithm that would flip votes from one candidate to another. Powell said that experts, including a group of Princeton University professors, have discussed multiple end-user vulnerabilities in Dominion.

    “People can admittedly go in and change whatever they want. They can set the ratio of votes from one thing to another. They can say a Biden vote counts as 1.25 and a Trump vote counts as 0.75 and those may be the actual numbers that were actually used here,” Powell said.

    Johnson County restaurant owner refuses to follow COVID-19 restrictions, including mask order

    MISSION, Kan. — While some people are adjusting to new COVID-19 restrictions, a restaurant owner in Johnson County, Kansas, said he won’t be.

    “I think at a time when our liberty is attacked as it is being, there comes a time where a man has to draw a line in the sand,” Barry Cowden, owner of Don Chilito’s said.

    If you walk into Don Chilito’s in Mission, you might not notice there’s a mask mandate in the county.

    “So from the get-go I basically told my employees you have the option,” Cowden said.

    Since the start of the pandemic, Cowden said he hasn’t required his employees or customers to wear masks. Instead, he said the restaurant is taking extra precautions in cleaning.

    “What I see in the numbers, since we’ve been wearing masks, the numbers are up,” Cowden said. “The masks are doing nothing for it. If you look around the world, the cases are going up and up and up.”

    The news was alarming to some customers eating inside.

    “The cases in Johnson County right now are rising, and this is ridiculous,” customer Shayla Rogers said.

    District Attorney Steve Howe said right now all his office could do is file a civil action toward a business for not following the rules but that would only lead to a $100 fine.

    He said this issue is being addressed at the Board of County Commissioners meeting Thursday.

    “So what the county is envisioning is using their codes enforcement and then bringing people to codes court to sanction people for refusing to comply to those orders,” Howe said.

    If the county does start to enforce some consequences, Cowden said he might close his doors.

    “I’ll make that decision because basically this is what I tell people, it sounds funny, but I’m not making much money now with what’s going on,” Cowden said.

    “The members of the state government committee were looking forward to publicly addressing the plethora of accusations of Dominion Voting Systems in a format which would have allowed open and honest dialogue. I was impressed at what appeared to be the willingness of Dominion Voting Systems to address accusations, and it would have put the 1.3 million Pennsylvanians who used their machines at ease, including myself,” state Rep.     Georgia’s Secretary of State’s office said on Friday morning that it certified the results of the Nov. 3 election, saying that all 159 Georgia counties handed over their vote totals for each state and federal candidate. However, minutes later, the office corrected itself and said it “will certify the results,” but had not yet done so.

    “Numbers don’t lie. As secretary of state, I believe the numbers that we have presented today are correct,” Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger said at a press conference on Friday. “The numbers reflect the verdict of the people.”

    Raffensperger’s office sent out a news release on Friday saying incorrectly saying that the results were certified. It then sent out a new press release saying the results will be certified.

    According to the state’s election data, Democrat Joe Biden has a 12,284-vote lead over President Donald Trump. Trump has not conceded the election and has said that voter fraud and irregularities were present in Georgia as well as other key states.
