Donald Trump’s track record as US president has featured some major and undeniable highlights, French philosopher, author and politician Luc Ferry said in the evening political talk show of French free-to-air news channel La Chaîne Info (LCI) on Sunday.
“Trump did not launch any wars, he signed peace treaties that were not trivial, and he recovered the US economy — everybody agrees he did that in a way superior to his predecessor,” Ferry said, adding that the French media is hysterically opposed to Trump.
“There has been delirious hatred created against Trump in the French media,” Ferry said. The negative coverage in France reflects trends seen across the European media landscape, with countries like Germany also producing overwhelmingly negative coverage of Trump.
On Friday afternoon, with just a few hours before sundown and the start of the Sabbath, David Parvey hurried to a South Philadelphia gun shop called Firing Line to get his new 9-millimeter pistol.
To Parvey, who attends an Orthodox Jewish synagogue in Center City, it felt like the only rational response to the Oct. 27 mass shooting at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh, where 11 congregants were killed.
“I legally have the right to at least be able to match evil with some sort of response, and in my mind I would be dumb not to,” said Parvey, who on Wednesday went to the Philadelphia Police Department’s Gun Permit Unit to apply for a concealed-carry license. “I don’t want to hide behind the bimah waiting for my turn to get shot.”
Parvey is not the only one to reach this conclusion. A simmering conversation about safety in the face of anti-Semitic violence that began several years ago with attacks on Jewish targets in France — a yeshiva in Toulouse, a kosher supermarket and the Bataclan theater in Paris — has boiled over in the last week. While some are responding with prayer and peaceful protests, there are those who feel that a pistol is just more reliable.
(Muslim terror attacks often divert significant resources that could be used to dramatically increase fatalities at a primary target in order to kill Jews. We saw this in Bombay where several terrorists went across town to shoot up a Chabad house, and in France when they went for a deli while attacking a soccer stadium and other targets. The point is, muslims consider Jewish targets of sufficiently high value that they disproportionately assign assets to those targets. Any Jewish person who chooses to stay with the left, to be anti-Trump or anti-Israel and to fail to protect themselves under these circumstances should consider themselves warned.)

Veteran news journalist and media maven Megyn Kelly has pulled her children out of their New York City school and plans to leave the city behind altogether.
Kelly announced the decision after learning that her kids’ school promoted the “reform” of white children in racially biased practices.
Kelly did not reveal the name of the school her children previously attended.
What are the details?
During Monday’s broadcast of her podcast, “The Megyn Kelly Show,” Kelly said that she received a letter from the administrators of her two young sons’ school that detailed a plan to implement an extreme racial social justice agenda in the school.
“It’s so out of control on so many levels, and after years of resisting it, we’re going to leave the city,” Kelly admitted. “We pulled our boys from their school, and our daughter is going to be leaving hers soon, too. The schools have always been far left, which doesn’t align with my own ideology, but I didn’t really care. Most of my friends are liberals; it’s fine. I come from Democrats as a family.”
