Reader’s Links for September 5, 2020

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

  3. Moroccan gangster Oualid Sekkaki re-arrested in Belgium, after escaping prison and eluding police for a year:
    https://www.brusselstimes.com/news/belgium-all-news/129821/escaped-prisoner-recaptured-after-nine-months-on-the-run/
Police in Limburg have reported the arrest of Oualid Sekkaki, aged 26, who escaped from the prison in Turnhout in December last year.
    [..]
Sekkaki was serving time for the wounding of another man by gunshot. He was previously convicted of an attempted home invasion at the home of singer and TV presenter Walter Grootaers, and trafficking in 25,000 ecstasy tablets.
    [..]
Oualid Sekkaki is from a notorious family of prison escape artists. His older brother Ashraf made multiple escapes from a youth detention facility in Mol while still a teenager, and once made a daring escape from the courtyard of the prison in Bruges with the help of a helicopter hijacked by a confederate.
While Oualid remained at large, Turnhout police received a postcard apparently mailed in Thailand and purporting to send the best wishes from Sekkaki.

Antwerp mayor this week announced the launch of Operation NightWatch, a crackdown on drugs crime which he promised would be the city’s “largest security operation in 20 years.”
The initiative has been generally – but not universally – been seen as a flexing of the city’s muscles at a time when it seemed that criminals had free run of the city. There have been numerous reports in recent weeks of grenades and other explosions, and houses and business premises being shot up.

The curfew introduced last month by Antwerp province’s governor Cathy Berx (CD&V) has ended, but another de facto curfew could be beginning. De Wever and his police chief Serge Muyters (the brother of De Wever’s party colleague and former minister Philippe Muyters) have promised that anyone on the street in sensitive areas like Borgerhout and Deurne may be stopped and subjected to an ID check, and if necessary some streets could be closed to all traffic.

  6. Ukrainians Caught Smuggling Migrants to Greece from Turkey by Boat (breitbart, Sep 5, 2020)
    https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2020/09/05/ukrainians-caught-smuggling-migrants-to-greece-from-turkey-by-boat/

“Two Ukrainian men have been charged by Greek authorities after being caught trying to ferry 53 migrants from Turkey to the Greek island of Rhodes aboard a large boat.

The two brothers were initially taken into custody on August 27th after a major Greek coast guard operation rushed to help the vessel containing the migrants around 17 nautical miles off the coast of Rhodes as someone aboard had reported an engine fire.

When the coat guard reached the vessel, no engine fire was found but authorities did transfer the 53 migrants aboard the vessel to coast guard and navy ships.

According to a report from Greek newspaper Proto Thema, the two Ukrainians denied any role in trafficking migrants to Greece, although they did admit to entering the country illegally themselves.

They claimed that they were actually passengers rather than smugglers, and that they had each paid Turkish people-smugglers 3,000 euros each to reach Greece. The pair added that the captain of the boat had abandoned it and left on another vessel prior to the arrival of the Greek authorities.

Greek prosecutors, however, were sceptical of the story of the two brothers and have decided to pursue charges for people smuggling against them.

According to Greek shipping minister Giannis Plakiotakis. the government has managed to stop at least 10,000 migrants from entering the country by sea so far this year.

“There are cases where [the Turkish coast guard] is accompanying boats with refugees and migrants to our borders and … trying to create problems,” he added.

One such “pushback” of a migrant boast took place last month in the Aegean Sea when Greek authorities fired warning shots near a migrant boat, which is said to have deterred the migrants who turned around back to Turkey.

While migration from Turkey into Greece has drastically diminished in the wake of the Chinese coronavirus pandemic, Turkish authorities have promised that migrants will return to the border area as soon as the health crisis is over.”

The expression “…to pick one’s battles…” is good advice:
    pick (one’s) battle(s)
To choose not to participate in minor, unimportant, or overly difficult arguments, contests, or confrontations, saving one’s strength instead for those that will be of greater importance or where one has a greater chance of success.

Isn’t it curious, however, that the battles chosen by our leftist masters are the most miniscule? There are many examples. The English subway rider who refused to wear a mask is viciously attacked by a cop, while in too many places to mention, including Europe and North America, blatant crimes are disregarded by police. Rape, drunk driving, assaults, arson, looting, and real anti-semitism are among the litany of real crime battles not prioritized by authorities in the last week. Yes, common sense threw a good punch and sat on the chest of a single agent of chaos in Buffalo, but this was a token example of our dwindling civility. Our Pavlovian training is in top gear for the sake of building a new cultural-Marxist political architecture, and it has nothing to do with science. It has everything to do with fascism.

It goes to show that, despite the weave of a cloth mask being akin to putting up a chain-link fence to keep out gnats, masks are an extremely important priority for our neofeudal overlords. We cannot even tolerate bare-faced faces with legitimate medical excuses because this will counter all of the dehumanizing conditioning our masters are trying to accomplish. Is it even going out on a limb, given our current levels of absurdity, to suggest that the dehumanizing face-covering mask better-enables a planned culling to come? Yes, this is a horrific idea, but given all that we know, is it not a perfectly legitimate question when speaking in the context of ever-monstrous collectivism. The dehumanizing effect of a half-covered face is simply too obvious a mandate to ignore when it is juxtaposed with historical genocides. This, then, begets the question of when does the culling begin? Again, it is a gruesome question that deserves no air in times where rule of law stands firm. But what about now? The answer is we see it has already been declared “open season” by Antifa on a certain demographic. –The very demographic that sat on the chest of Buffalo chaos. All that is now needed is sufficient numbers of true-believer cultural Marxists to get the ball rolling.

It has been seven days since the Dystopia Parliament Hill dissident protest. I’ve been counting these days. In three more days I, along with many other attendees, will be cleared by science from the Wuhan flu that has justified the decimation of Western civilization. Knock on wood. This Tuesday will be the 10th day from our supposed exposure to this killer phantom. On that day we will be able to dismiss this worry, yet we will not be able to dismiss the greater worry that is the galloping tyranny driven by collectivist technocrats. Three days to the gates of a proof of reality that would be unqualified if every attendee were tested for Wuhan on Tuesday, and showed negative.

No one can be blamed for disbelieving aspects of real events such as that pregant Australian women being arrested in her home, just as no one can be blamed for falling for bits of firehose propaganda here and there. We all get caught because we are all fallible, and there is so much in the firehose.

The next three days will be like the last three days. It will be drunk with lies and disorder. But on Tuesday I will be able to recall that famous Chinese proverb about “…interesting times…” and know without doubt that such times are giving way to nothing at all interesting. Rather, I will know that our grim political reality walks in lockstep with closed science, and that the Peace Tower under which we protested stood like a 98-meter tall Karen. Unlike the campy evil Stay Puft Marshmallow Man of Ghost Busters fame, this Godzilla looms in contrast to the small but mighty Buffalo soldier who stepped aside for responsible authority. The Dystopian equivalent to the Buffalo soldier may be Rocco Galati. He is the constitutional lawyer who will try to pin the Peace Tower Karen to to the ground with a massive lawsuit. Three days and on.

“A gas pipeline explosion near a mosque in Bangladesh killed 13 people and injured 30 as worshippers were about to end their prayers, officials said on Saturday.

The explosion, which fire service officials suspect was caused by leakage from the pipeline, occurred on Friday night at a mosque in Narayanganj district, just outside the capital, Dhaka.

Dozens were rushed to Dhaka’s state-run specialised burn and plastic-surgery hospital, most of them with severe burns.

Thirteen people, including a seven-year-old child, died after they sustained burns, said Samanta Lal Sen, coordinator of the burns unit.

The death toll could rise further as many of them were in a critical condition, he said.

Fire officials said gas that accumulated in the mosque after pipeline leaks likely triggered the blasts…”

    • The fact that other police tried to block the filming of the arrest of Avi is more meaningful than the arrest itself. If the arrest is justifiable and done without excessive force, then why are they wanting to make sure we cannot see it?

Ex-FBI agent: Attacks from Trump ‘outrageous’ and ‘cruel’
By ERIC TUCKER, Associated Press 1 hr ago

WASHINGTON (AP) — Peter Strzok spent his FBI career hunting Russian and Chinese spies, but after news broke of derogatory text messages he’d sent about President Donald Trump, he came to feel like he was the one being hunted.

FILE – In this July 12, 2018, file photo, then-FBI Deputy Assistant Director Peter Strzok, testifies on Capitol Hill in Washington. Strzok, a former FBI agent who was fired because of derogatory text messages about Donald Trump, writes in a new book that he believes the president has been compromised by Russia.
There were menacing phone calls and messages from strangers, and anxious peeks out window shades before his family would leave the house. FBI security experts advised him of best practices — walk around your car before entering, watch for unfamiliar vehicles in your neighborhood — more commonly associated with mob targets looking to elude detection.

“Being subjected to outrageous attacks up to and including by the president himself, which are full of lies and mischaracterizations and just crude and cruel, is horrible,” Strzok told The Associated Press in an interview. “There’s no way around it.”

A new book by Strzok traces his arc from veteran counterintelligence agent to the man who came to embody Trump’s public scorn of FBI and his characterization of its Russia investigation as a “witch hunt.” The texts cost Strzok his job and drew vitriol from Trump. But even among Trump critics, Strzok isn’t a hero. His anti-Trump texts on a government phone to an FBI lawyer gave Trump and his supporters a major opening to undercut the bureau’s credibility right as it was conducting one of the most consequential investigations in its history.

Strzok, who was fired because of derogatory text messages about Donald Trump, writes in a new book that he believes the president has been compromised by Russia. (AP Photo/J. Scott Applewhite, file)
Trump’s attacks have continued even as two inspector general reports found no evidence Strzok’s work in the investigations were tainted by political bias and multiple probes have affirmed the Russia probe’s validity. Strzok, for his part, expresses measured regret for the texts in “Compromised: Counterintelligence and the Threat of Donald J. Trump,” due out Tuesday.

“I deeply regret casually commenting about the things I observed in the headlines and behind the scenes, and I regret how effectively my words were weaponized to harm the Bureau and buttress absurd conspiracy theories about our vital work,” Strzok writes.

Before becoming a virtual household name, Strzok spent two decades at the FBI toiling in relative anonymity on sensational spy cases. He helped uncover Russian sleeper agents inside the U.S., worked the Edward Snowden case and led the investigation into whether Hillary Clinton mishandled classified information. (She did, he writes, but not in a way meriting prosecution).

After the Clinton case concluded in July 2016, Strzok opened an investigation into whether the campaign of her Republican opponent was coordinating with Russia, conceiving the “Crossfire Hurricane” codename he says proved prescient.

In the interview, Strzok said he wanted his book to lend insight into the Clinton probe, Russian election interference and, first and foremost, the counterintelligence threat that I see in Donald Trump.”

“To do that,” he added, “I wanted to show the reader what happened but also why they should believe me.”

As the investigation progressed, Strzok came to regard the Trump administration’s actions regarding Russia as “highly suspicious” and the president as compromised by Russia, including because of financial dealings in Moscow about which Strzok says Trump repeatedly lied.

Those concerns deepened after Trump fired James Comey as FBI director and bragged to a Russian diplomat that “great pressure” was removed. The FBI began investigating whether Trump himself was under Russia’s sway, finding “too much smoke” to not look for fire, Strzok writes.

“And the closer we got to the Oval Office, the stronger the smell seemed to become,” he said.

Special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation revealed significant contacts between the Trump campaign and Russia but found insufficient evidence of a criminal conspiracy.

Strzok documents pivotal moments during the investigation, recounting for instance how then-national security adviser Michael Flynn “baldly lied” to him and another agent about his Russian contacts even though Flynn had not shown customary signs of deceit agents are trained to look for.

Though Trump supporters contend the interview was designed to get Flynn to lie, Strzok says the FBI actually gave him multiple prompts to refresh his memory. And while Attorney General William Barr has said the interview was done without a legitimate purpose, Strzok says it was necessary to better understand the Trump orbit’s ties to Russia and Flynn’s own “hidden negotiation with a foreign power that had just attacked our elections.”

Flynn later pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI. Barr’s request to dismiss the case is pending.

In another episode, he says then-Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein asked him to remain behind after a meeting and pressed him skeptically about a perjury investigation into Attorney General Jeff Sessions for statements made at his confirmation hearing. Sessions was never charged. Rosenstein declined to comment.

Strzok’s stint on Mueller’s team was short-lived, upended in the summer of 2017 by the inspector general’s discovery of anti-Trump text messages he’d exchanged during the campaign with an FBI lawyer with whom he had had an extramarital relationship.

He was summoned to meet with Mueller, who in a “soft voice” told Strzok he was being removed.

Transferred into the more bureaucratic Human Resources Division, Strzok says Deputy Director David Bowdich reassured him the situation could be worse, including if Trump had gotten hold of the texts.

That’s exactly what happened two months later when news broke about the texts and the Justice Department disclosed them to reporters. By his own count, Strzok says, Trump has attacked him since then more than 100 times in tweets.

The text message leak is part of a lawsuit from Strzok, who also conveys discontent at how his career ended.

After Trump accused Strzok of treason, he appealed to the FBI for a statement condemning the remarks, but got none. The FBI scrambled to remove his access to categories of classified information so Director Chris Wray could inform lawmakers the next day. And senior leadership overturned a lower-level decision in firing him.

Today, Strzok is teaching at Georgetown University and watching from the outside for election interference from Russia, which he warns had information it did not use in 2016.

“I can’t talk in a lot of detail about that,” he added, “but I do think they returned those arrows to their quiver and made them better for this year.”

  14. Former Turkish PM Says Erdogan Aggression Risks Military Clash with Greece (breitbart, Sep 5, 2020)
    https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2020/09/05/former-turkish-pm-says-erdogan-aggression-could-risk-military-clash/

“Former Turkish prime minister Ahmet Davutoglu has warned that the continued aggressive policies of Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan could result in military conflict.

The former prime minister stated that Turkey’s current policy was risky and that while he thought the country had legitimate concerns over its supposed coastal territories, the confrontational actions of Erdogan could escalate and lead to a crisis.

“Unfortunately our government is not doing a proper diplomatic performance,” Davutoglu said, and added that all the parties involved in the Eastern Mediterranean should seek to get around a negotiating table to “de-escalate the tension,” newspaper Kathimerini reports.

A former member of Erdogan’s Islamist AKP party, Davutoglu formed his own party, the Future Party, in December of last year. The party is made up of several other AKP defectors as well.

Tensions in the Eastern Mediterranean largely stem from Turkish attempts to conduct seismic research for natural resources in areas Greece considers to be part of its own exclusive economic zone (EEZ).

Greece put its armed forces on alert at the end of July over the issue and tensions have remained high between the two countries ever since, with France recently supporting Greece and expanding its own presence in the area more recently.

Earlier this week, France announced that its aircraft carrier, the Charles De Gaulle, would also be deployed to the Eastern Mediterranean.

Reacting to the French move, former Turkish admiral Deniz Kutluk said he doubted France and Turkey would come to military blows but claimed the Turks could take over the French aircraft carrier within two days.

Kutluk had much harsher words for Greece, however, saying that Turkey must give a 48-hour deadline for Greece to remove all military personnel from the Aegean islands as per the agreement reached in the Treaty of Lausanne in 1923.

“Turkey must declare that ‘We do not recognise sovereignty over these 16 islands’. Turkey must say that ‘Greece within 48 hours and under observation by international observers will ensure the disarmament of these islands or else these islands are ours’. And one by one, let’s take it and finish it. We have that power,” he boasted.”

  15. Bokhari: Everything You Post Online Will Be Scanned by ‘Hate Speech Algorithms’ (breitbart, Sep 5, 2020)
    https://www.breitbart.com/tech/2020/09/05/bokhari-everything-you-post-online-will-be-scanned-by-hate-speech-algorithms/

“Breitbart News technology reporter Allum Bokhari appeared on the Liz Callaway show on TALK 94.5 FM WTKN last week, to discuss revelations in his upcoming book, #DELETED: Big Tech’s Battle to Erase The Trump Movement and Steal The Election, which features interviews with insiders from Google, Facebook, and other companies.

A source close to Google and other tech giants has said that the book, which lifts the lid on Big Tech’s four-year plot to undermine the Trump movement and influence the election, will “shake the foundations of Silicon Valley.”

“The things I’ve heard from my sources inside Silicon Valley is quite terrifying,” said Bokhari.

“Increasingly, with these hate speech algorithms, everything you post on social media will be scanned by an AI algorithm, sometimes before you even post it, and that’ll determine whether it appears at the top of people’s feeds or gets buried.”

“A lot of conservative content is way more popular than left-wing content. It does very well unless there’s some artificial manipulation,” said Bokhari later in the interview.

Callaway and Bokhari also recapped the Google Tape, a 1-hour recording of the tech giant’s top executives.

“They were completely stunned by it. You can go and watch the video… Sergey Brin said the decision of the American voters ‘offended him,’ he compared Trump voters to ‘extremists’… He was talking about Trump voters in the same way that he might have talked about ISIS.”

“I’m sure many other people inside many other companies were dismayed at the election result, but these people control the most powerful company in the world.”

“What’s scary is, there’s no law and no regulation stopping these people from interfering in the election.”

Bokhari also explained how Facebook and Google have become “editor-in-chief” to the world, due to the large number of publications that depend on them for traffic.

“When Facebook comes in with a rule change, or when there’s a sense that they’re going to downrank certain content in the algorithm if you say the wrong thing, publications are going to adjust their editorial standards and how they write their stories and what they write about in response to what Facebook, and to a large extent Google, is doing.”

“Essentially, Zuckerberg has this editorial control over every online publication that’s dependent on his platform. That’s a huge number of news publications around the world. I don’t think anyone’s [ever] had that much power over the global news economy.”

  16. English City Forcing Annual ‘Equalities Training’ on Elected Officials, ‘Race Equality Education’ on Schools (breitbart, Sep 5, 2020)
    https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2020/09/05/birmingham-race-equality-schools/

“Birmingham Council is set to create a fast track recruitment programme for ethnic minorities, force staff to undertake “equalities training” and launch a new “race equality” curriculum in schools.

Inspired by the Black Lives Matter movement, which is funded by many of the world’s biggest corporations, the multicultural city will also review street names, monuments, statues, and public art displays to ensure that they “properly reflect and respect the city’s history and communities”.

A plan drawn up by the Labour council leader Ian Ward and his cabinet includes measures to monitor equality of outcome between ethnic groups in areas including pay and health, BirminghamLive reports.

It includes a raft of proposals for advancing the career opportunities for non-white people at Birmingham City Council, including that shortlists for all staff vacancies must have at least one ethnic minority, and the creation of a “fast track recruitment and development programme for Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic people”.

In addition, “every elected councillor and every member of staff will be required to participate in mandatory equalities training, which will take place at least annually”.

According to the Midlands-based media outlet, the council will also work with historians to create a new curriculum highlighting the so-called diversity of the city, as well as with “partners in the education and community sectors to develop a new ‘Race Equality education programme’ for use in Birmingham’s schools”.

A report prepared on behalf of the council asserts: “The unprecedented socio-economic crisis created by COVID-19, together with the global calls for justice articulated by the Black Lives Matter anti-racism movement, have starkly highlighted the extent to which injustice, inequality and discrimination persist within our society.”

The review of public monuments and artworks in Birmingham follows the lead of London mayor Sadiq Khan, who in June announced that the capital would be looking at street names, statues, and landmarks to remove and replace in the name of reflecting the city’s “diversity”.

Soon after, the Labour Party disclosed that it would be conducting similar reviews at all 130 councils across the United Kingdom where they are in power, Breitbart London previously reported.

On Thursday, the Bar Standards Board (BSB), which regulates barristers and specialised legal services businesses in England and Wales, launched a “reverse mentoring scheme” in which senior white barristers are given junior barristers from ethnic minority backgrounds as mentors.

The scheme is hoping to “address the barriers to race equality at the Bar, by providing insight into people’s experiences of racism”, according to a press release from the board.

One of the scheme’s first mentees, Paul Stanley QC of Essex Court Chambers, commented: “I know it will make me a better anti-racist ally, and help me to change myself and the profession for the better.”

His mentor, “black female Bar student and race equality activist” Elisha Lindsay, said: “Seeing how receptive members of the Bar are to hearing and learning about anti-racist practices and achieving true diversity within the Bar gives me hope for a more inclusive environment.””

“The Lebanese military intelligence detained members of a terrorist cell, which is linked to Daesh* and planned attacks in the country, the press office of Lebanon’s armed forces said on Saturday.

“The intelligence unit of the armed forces detained members of a terrorist cell linked to the Daesh group, which was preparing acts of sabotage on Lebanon’s territory,” the press office said in a statement.

Arrests were made in northern parts of the country and in the Beqaa valley in eastern Lebanon. The military also seized weapons and ammunition.

According to the military, the cell operated under the leadership of Khaled at-Talawi, a terrorist who is still at large. Al-Talawi’s car was used during an attack on Kaftourn, a Christian village in northern Lebanon, in late August, which killed a son of the head of the local municipality.

It has come to the President’s attention that Executive Branch agencies have spent
millions of taxpayer dollars to date “training” government workers to believe divisive, antiAmerican propaganda.
For example, according to press reports, employees across the Executive Branch have
been required to attend trainings where they are told that “virtually all White people contribute to
racism” or where they are required to say that they “benefit from racism.” According to press
reports, in some cases these training have further claimed that there is racism embedded in the
belief that America is the land of opportunity or the belief that the most qualified person should
    receive a job.
These types of “trainings” not only run counter to the fundamental beliefs for which our
Nation has stood since its inception, but they also engender division and resentment within the
Federal workforce. We can be proud that as an employer, the Federal government has
employees of all races, ethnicities, and religions. We can be proud that Americans from all over
the country seek to join our workforce and dedicate themselves to public service. We can be
proud of our continued efforts to welcome all individuals who seek to serve their fellow
Americans as Federal employees. However, we cannot accept our employees receiving training
that seeks to undercut our core values as Americans and drive division within our workforce.

  25. Erdogan: Greeks Will Be Made to ‘Understand’ Turkey Has ‘Military Power’ to ‘Tear Up’ Map (breitbart, Sep 5, 2020)
    https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2020/09/05/erdogan-greeks-understand-turkey-military-power-tear-up-map/

“Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Saturday warned Greece to enter talks over disputed eastern Mediterranean territorial claims or face the consequences.

“They’re either going to understand the language of politics and diplomacy, or in the field with painful experiences,” he said at a hospital’s opening ceremony in Istanbul.

Ankara is currently facing off against Greece and Cyprus over oil and gas exploration rights in the eastern Mediterranean. All sides have deployed naval and air forces to assert their competing claims in the region.

“They are going to understand that Turkey has the political, economic and military power to tear up the immoral maps and documents imposed,” Erdogan added, referring to areas marked by Greece and Cyprus as their economic maritime zones.

Erdogan stressed that Turkey was “ready for every eventuality and result.”

The president’s comments come after NATO said military officers from Greece and Turkey had begun technical discussions to reduce the risk of armed conflict or accidents.

The two NATO allies have been locked for weeks in a tense standoff in the eastern Mediterranean, where Turkey is prospecting the seabed for energy reserves in an area Greece claims as its own continental shelf.

Ankara says it has every right to prospect there and accuses Athens of trying to grab an unfair share of maritime resources.

Simulated dogfights between Greek and Turkish fighter pilots have multiplied over the Aegean Sea and the eastern Mediterranean. A Turkish and a Greek frigate collided last month, reportedly causing minor damage to the Turkish frigate but no injuries.

Erdogan said Turkey had repeatedly expressed its willingness to come to a just agreement.

“Our word is sincere,” he said. “The problem is those before us disregard our rights and try to situate themselves above us.”

The crisis is the most serious in the two countries´ relations in decades. The neighbours have come to the brink of war three times since the mid-1970s, including once over maritime resources in the Aegean.

Earlier, Ankara announced joint military exercises with northern Cypriot forces from Sunday to Sept. 10. The air, land and sea drills are held every year.”

  26. Open Borders NGO Demands Italy Take More Illegal Migrants Faster (breitbart, Sep 5, 2020)
    https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2020/09/05/migrant-transport-ngo-slams-italy-not-taking-migrants-quickly-enough/

“German migrant transport NGO Sea-Watch has complained that Italian authorities have taken too long to accept the transfer of migrants to quarantine ships, after dropping off 353 migrants this week.

The NGO was able to begin the transfer to a quarantine vessel located off the coast of the Sicilian capital of Palermo. The quarantine ship, the Allegra, also saw 181 migrants transferred from Porto Empedocle and Lampedusa this week as well.

“The transfer of 353 people from Sea-Watch 4 to the ship where they will carry out a quarantine period off Palermo has begun. It has been almost two weeks since our first aid and the people on board, including women and children, are exhausted,” the NGO said, according to Il Giornale.

Giorgia Linardi, a spokeswoman for Sea-Watch, added: “We insist that it should not take eight to ten days before a ship, which rescues people at sea, to reach a port.”

She said many migrants aboard suffered from seasickness and had sustained other injuries from their time in Libya.

Populist Senator Matteo Salvini, who leads the populist League (Lega) party, reacted to the arrivals, saying the new surge in the past several weeks was an “invasion”.

“The League will denounce the government for aiding illegal immigration if it allows the landing of these 353 illegal immigrants on board from yet another illegal foreign ship,” Salvini said.

Forza Italia Senator Anna Maria Bernini also criticised the increase in NGO activity, saying: “The return to sea at full capacity of the NGOs represents a further magnet for migrants and unfortunately an incentive for the business of human traffickers.”

The surge has led to overcrowding in many areas, especially the island of Lampedusa. Dr Cristoforo Pomara, an expert tasked with examining the conditions of migrant reception centres, warned this week that the situation is becoming more dangerous.

“In that hotspot, there is an imminent and concrete risk tosafety, for everyone,” Dr Pomara said. He added: “There are conditions in there that are contrary to all the rules of prevention of spreading diseases. Not just COVID-19. I’m talking about hepatitis, HIV, scabies, tuberculosis.”

“Try to imagine a fire, something that requires a mass escape. There should be 200 people, but there are 1,200 prisoners. What do you think will happen if everyone is pushing for a barred exit?” he asked.”

  28. UN Forced To Admit Gates-Funded Vaccine Is Causing Polio Outbreak In Africa

This really should be one of the biggest scandals in public health, but it’s given little attention – mainly because of the high-profile nature of the people and organisations involved.

The United Nations has been forced to admit that a major international vaccine initiative is actually causing the outbreak of the very disease it was supposed to wipe-out.

While international organisations like the World Health Organization (WHO) will regular boast about supposedly ‘eradicating polio’ with vaccines, the opposite seems to be the case. Their decades-long campaign to eradicate polio is now killing scores of innocent young people living in poor countries.

  29. Biden Records on Alleged Sexual Assault of S.S. Agent’s Girlfriend Destroyed?

oe Biden was a step away from getting his a** kicked by a Secret Service agent, according to records contained within a FOIA lawsuit that Judicial Watch has filed against the Department of Homeland Security.

Judicial Watch filed the lawsuit after the Secret Service failed to respond to a previous request, saying the files were “destroyed”. Here’s a description of the alleged altercation between Biden and a Secret Service agent.

Richard: There have been a lot of rumors about what is suppose to have happened and from what I have read there was more then one incident. This seems to be verified by the statement that the had to cancel events because Biden kept groping the Asses of the wives and girlfriends. The 2009 incident talked about in the article is about the time Dan Bongino quit the Secret Service walking away from his pension because of something that happened. Did he quit because of some thing Biden did? I don’t know and we probably won’t know unless the Judicial Watch law suit gains access to the records.

  30. Trump orders defunding of ‘un-American propaganda’ teaching white privilege and critical race theory at federal agencies

The theory says that America is inherently racist

The Trump administration plans to ban training programs at government agencies that teach that the United States is inherently racist, including concepts of “white privilege” and “critical race theory.”

he announcement was made in a memorandum released late Friday by Russell Vought, the director of the Office of Management and Budget.

“The President has directed me to ensure that Federal agencies cease and desist from using taxpayer dollars to fund these divisive, un-American propaganda training sessions,” the memo read.

“Accordingly, to that end, the Office of Management and Budget will shortly issue more detailed guidance on implementing the President’s directive,” he continued.

  31. Iran to Export ‘More Military Hardware’ After Arms Embargo Expiration, Defence Minister Says (sputniknews, Sep 5, 2020)
    https://sputniknews.com/middleeast/202009051080376400-iran-to-export-more-military-hardware-after-arms-embargo-expiration-defence-minister-says/

“In mid-August, the UN Security Council rejected a draft resolution submitted by Washington to indefinitely extend the arms embargo against Tehran, something that was originally envisioned by the 2015 Iran nuclear deal ahead of its expiration in October.

Iran’s Student News Network (SNN) has quoted the country’s Defence Minister Amir Hatami as saying that Tehran is considering selling more domestically made weapons as an arms embargo against the Islamic Republic expires in October.

According to Hatami, Iran remains among a handful of countries which are able to indigenously manufacture more than 90 percent of its military hardware.

“We will surely be able to export more military equipment than we need to import. Therefore, we will surely use our legal right [to sell arms] in dealing with our allies once the restrictions are lifted”, the defence minister pointed out, referring to the upcoming expiration of the arms embargo.

The remarks come a few weeks after the UN Security Council (UNSC) said “no” to a draft resolution introduced by Washington to indefinitely prolong the weapons embargo on Tehran envisioned by the 2015 Iran nuclear deal ahead of its expiration on 18 October.

The council underlined that the resolution had not received the required support to be adopted, as it was endorsed only by the US and the Dominican Republic and objected to by Russia and China, while 11 other UNSC members abstained.

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo slammed the UNSC rejection of the American resolution, pledging that the Trump administration would continue to do its best to ensure that Iran is not able to buy and sell weapons on the international market.

Tehran’s Permanent Envoy to the UN Majid Takht Ravanchi, in turn, pointed out that the results of the vote “shows—once more—the US’ isolation”, urging Washington “to learn from this debacle”.

The Iran nuclear deal, or the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), stipulates Tehran scaling back its nuclear programme in exchange for sanctions relief. President Donald Trump announced the US’ unilateral withdrawal from the JCPOA in May 2018, prompting Tehran to step away from its nuclear commitments.”
