(The WE Charity scam will be an excellent test to see if Canadians or Canadian institutions give a damn at all about rule of law or even the illusion of fairness. Remember the 12 dollar Orange juice that the Liberal party made into a giant scandal? That was like Russia gate. An invention. But this is a major league crime. Will anything happen at all?)
The idea that WE Charity was uniquely capable of executing the government’s $912m student volunteer program is challenged by an analysis of their audited financial statements by Charity Intelligence (CI), an independent charity watchdog group that helps donors “give intelligently and have impact with their generosity.”
CI’s legitimacy as a neutral authority on the charitable sector was recognized by none other than WE Charity itself, who previously used its CI rating to challenge Canadaland’s investigation.
When the pandemic began, WE Charity promptly laid off the majority of its workforce. Media reports assumed that this was a direct result of COVID-19, with its obvious impacts on donations and live events.
But in an interview with Canadaland, CI’s Managing Director Kate Bahen shares information from WE’s own audited financial statements that tells a different story – one of an organization that appeared to already be in crisis and making strange financial transactions when COVID hit, to anyone who bothered to look.

4. See you never really ever hear “human rights groups” talk about the endless examples of this sort of thing. In Gaza people kill their own relatives if they sell their homes to Jewish people.

Elizabeth Linscott said she got tested for COVID-19 as a precaution because she was planning to visit her parents in Michigan. She received a positive test result but showed no symptoms.
She said the Hardin County Health Department asked her to sign documents agreeing to call them any time she left her house. The young mother claims she never refused to self-quarantine but said she would not sign the documents because of how they were worded, WAVE reported.
(I guess the lesson here is don’t open your door to a delivery unless you know your expecting something and have been tracking it online. Or else its don’t order a suicide by FEDEX.)
New Jersey: The 20-year-old son of a United States judge was shot dead by a gunman posing as a FedEx delivery person after he answered the door of the family home.
The shootings occurred at the New Jersey home of US District Judge Esther Salas on Sunday night, US time, killing her son Daniel and wounding her husband.
Chief District Judge Freda Wolfson said that Salas’ husband Mark Anderl was injured in the attack. Salas, however, was in the basement at the time and uninjured, a judiciary official said.
The FBI tweeted that it was looking for a lone suspect.
Daniel Anderl, a college student, was the judge’s only child, an official said.
Salas was nominated by President Barack Obama and confirmed in 2011. Prior to that she served as a US magistrate judge in New Jersey, after working as an assistant public defender for several years.

(32 charges laid against 7 people for a sex trafficking ring which doesn’t say it is of minors, but described like it would be, and no names of the accused are given. Solve for X.)
Provincial police say they dismantled a sex trafficking ring earlier this week, resulting in dozens of charges being laid.
According to the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), the sex trafficking organization rotated victims through apartments in nine different cities, including Kingston and Belleville.
The investigation also extended across the province into Ottawa, Kitchener, London, Peterborough, Oshawa, Sudbury and Sarnia.
During a search warrant in the Kingston region, Kingston police say they found a female victim in the Queen Mary Road area.
Authorities say victims were forced to provide sexual services to clients who responded to online advertisements.
