Reader’s Links for July 11. 2020

Daily Links Post graphic

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

  1. Cancel culture, censorship…whatever. It’s in full bloom. And do we need a name for the male version of “Karen”? Because we have plenty of them, too. Nah, let them keep the girly name they deserve.

I should get a t-shirt that has the answer to the most common question Karens now ask: “…underlying health issues…”

See? I don’t even have to say what the question is.

I won’t have to speak to them. I’ll just point to the words on the shirt with a dumb expression on my face when they launch into self-righteous indignation. Or how about pointing to: “…just because you asked…”
Or: “…because you’re not my nanny, are you?…” (They are volunteer deputies for the nanny state.)
Or, similarly: “…are you the boss of the universe?…”

This is becoming one busy t-shirt.

Setting aside the debate on whether or not masks are effective, there’s another dynamic in play that I haven’t heard much about, the gender side of masks. Normal men are raised to be self-sufficient and independent in thought and action. Take a middle-aged example of this animal, an animal whose whole life experience was basically free-range, and you’ve got a problem. Make him wear a mask, stand on a silly dot, follow a line on the floor, watch the words that squirt rebelliously from his mouth, and you’ve at very least created a highly suspicious animal. The animal was already wary because he saw the high grass moving yonder with muffled screams of hydroxychloroquine being killed, and cardboard effigies of lions dressed in false pandemic model outfits prancing in the distance.

Conversley, the Karen animal emerged femaled for a reason, though I’m just not exactly sure what it is. (I’m tempted to take a shot at this but I know someone else here will do much better.) She tethers herself to the state and demands all other animals do the same in shame. My reflexes compel me to do the opposite of what this bitch tells me to do, male of female, mask science closed or open.

I am the normal man of the baby boomer generation. I will use failure and personal shortcomings as fuel to achieve conquest over my own tiny corner of my universe. I am geared this way by upbringing. Tying me with Karen string is not a minor thing. Chain a dog to a post and he becomes cross. I won’t say I’m not coping because it is a point of pride that I cope with and overcome everything. Screaming bitches just make me want to smile and wave in rebellion.

Most people will just put on the mask because their lives may be too busy with things, and they don’t want to add constant public argument to their to-do list. I get this while I also get the importance of resisting the budding tyranny of peer-pressure compliance. It’s a dilemna. Many people don’t want to draw attentiom to themselves. It’s not their style. I guess it’s just human nature to put up and shut up until things become unbearable. In fact, most peoples’ lives are largely excersizes in putting up with varying degrees of discomfort. Learning how to work when you’re young, putting up with frustrations in relationships, we train ourselves to try to be patient and carry on despite small obstacles.

Maybe the business end of tyranny truly is in its incremental advancement, like a well-camouflaged lion approaching from the high grass, slowly, slowly, then a final quick lunge to the final kill.

A perfectly absurd example of the creeping lion:

    • I like Karens. They may have a small world-view, but they defend it for the right reasons and goodness in their hearts. They have courage without physical strength. They are hold no gun. And all it takes is a few wise and kind word to thank them and explain your intent.

But for the bucks, cucks and sucks; this is their joy, for they have the malace and demands to be seen a good. The virue signaller who never had a father to show them how to calmly deal with Karen’s – in male or female forms – to provide a wider perspective where once there was none. This meeting of two strangers.

As Muhammadans beat women to submission, the Socialists chase skirt, the Communists distract her to micromanaging the equality she never will have, and the Sexwells running from themsouls into her space.

Karen nervously ask these Gods, “what are you doing here?”

      Explain yourself.

The exact words demons never want to face.

The Sons and Daughters of Men, would only be too happy to.

      • I’m not a mind reader, PC, but to impose one’s will upon another for a perceived greater good is the socislist’s and Muhummadan’s m.o. too. Where does good intention cross over to control? It’s just a mask…that may or may not prevent the spread of disease. I’m surprised by your answer. I guess I don’t get it.

        • To live in a family and a society always has rules. Which side of the road to drive etc. All enforced by imprisonment, that becomes normalized and forgotten. And there will be no outrage if The World Order decided that globally, one side saved tourists lives and reduced manufacturing costs, if the logic was presented and consulted.

Democracy is by necessity slow and upon majority agreement for consent. We gave people power to protect us and we expect the. to use it.

muslims, Communists and Sex-Wells (self-medicated peace), need no mandate, for they serve Muhammad, State and Appetite, with a fake soul, mind and body handed to them with promises of glory.

As you have your own soul, mind and body, (that every parent protects from the chicken hawks), their intentions to enslave you with cruelty and affection has no barbs.

“Where does good intention cross over to control?”

          Whenever you follow them blindly.

Pragmatism is a philosophical tradition that began in the United States around 1870. It is the ability to stand back, to hold two thoughts similtaneously and not invested in either.

Pragmatism considers words and thought as tools and instruments for prediction, problem solving, and action, and rejects the idea that the function of thought is to describe, represent, or mirror reality.

dhimmis, cucks and sucks surrender to the illusion of good intentions as reality.

          The difference is, you don’t.

      • Karens should not read the Zoe report.
Germany increased number of infectious diseases —some Doctors have not seen in 40 years. The report suggests this may be the tip of the iceberg. Doctors believe the Institute may be downplaying the threat in an effort to avoid fuelling anti-immigration sentiments. Dr. Carsten Boos has warned the German authorities have lost control of hundreds of migrants who may be infected and 40 percent of TB pathogens are multi drug-resistant.

How many people worldwide died last year of TB? Why did God not design us wearing masks?

        • “Karen is a pejorative slang term for an obnoxious, angry, entitled, and often racist middle-aged white woman who uses her privilege to get her way or police other people’s behaviors.”

You see how the Left have framed it. A woman of position, experience, and morals who had earned them. Exposed to the very real obnoxious, angry, entitled, and often racist privileged, Those by race, age, ethicity, genders and sexual-identities.

The theft of property cannot be challenged. That’s the message.

So you see the feminine in action – checking – why do you then hate her for it? It’s doing the work of enemies for them.

bucks, cuck and sucks all claim the space of the feminine. The muslim-dhimmi speaks for all his wives, the cuck for her approval and drawing out the bitch to serve him, and the male passing himself off as her, for the receiving of souls.

What gaslighting is this, with no men defending her?

Women are not Men. They have their ground. If we do not defend theirs, who defends our homes when we are not there?

“Why did God not design us wearing masks?” 3rd grade biology will help answer this question: Evolutionary forces due to environment. People with sickle-cell trait will survive in areas infested with malaria. Likewise, there will be those with covid-19 survivability who, without the sacrilige of lockdown and medicines, would inherit the earth. They would have God’s Masks.

    • When asked why I do not have a mask on, I just say “My Mother did not drop me on my head”. The follow up question, “Do I not feel guilty for being so irresponsible”? “ NO, I am too old.” Then I sort of give them a smile/ laugh and walk away. If I ever run into someone who can read minds, there could be trouble. LOL

      • Advice from 2018:

“Viruses spread from person to person mainly in droplets that fly out when you cough or sneeze. These tiny drops from a sick person move through the air and land on the mouths or noses of others nearby.

Germs are also passed along when you touch mucus droplets from someone else on a surface like a desk and then touch your own eyes, mouth, or nose before you get a chance to wash your hands. Viruses like the flu can live 24 hours or longer on plastic and metal surfaces like cafeteria tables, doorknobs, and cups.”

I have colleagues who have died.

Let your judgement not be clouded by fear or hubris, but your own.

    • “Normal men are raised to be self-sufficient and independent in thought and action. Make him wear a mask, stand on a silly dot, follow a line on the floor, watch the words that squirt rebelliously from his mouth, and you’ve at very least created a highly suspicious animal.”

Sounds like a Karen to me – using emotion above reason. For there is nothing suspicious here at all! Six feet was deemed the compromise to keep as much freedom and as much health possible. It never was to be perfect.

Karens have all the rebelliousness to defend their turf. So give them a lifeline. Let them reset their brain cells before they chew off their wrists with their fist trapped in the cookie jar of sanctimoniousness; to set them free rather than self-harm for a sense of that freedom.

Because until you do, it’s all a conspiracy, and they can’t see the opportunity everyone else can take but they can’t.

Karens winge. Show a little kindness and gently hit them with the truth. They litterally are all ears.

        • Fine, but the Karen fully extended is the worst tyrant, while I fully extended am just a guy who wants to be left alone. All the fancy talk in the world will do nothing but sound clever and still be wrong.

  2. POLL: Should ‘Rule Britannia’ and ‘Land of Hope and Glory’ be BANNED from Proms? VOTE (express, Jul 11, 2020)
    https://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/1308077/rule-britannia-lyrics-land-of-hope-and-glory-lyric-last-night-proms-bbc

“CALLS for Rule Britannia and Land of Hope and Glory to be axed from Last Night of the Proms have resurfaced with critics branding the songs “crudely jingoistic” – but do you think they should be banned from the showpiece event?

The latest demands for the songs to be dropped are being led by BBC musix expert Richard Morrison – who studied music at Cambridge University and has been a judge on BBC Young Musician of the Year. Writing in BBC Music Magazine, he said chanting the songs in the wake of the Black Lives Matter protests would be “insensitive, bordering on incendiary”.

The traditional, patriotic songs are always hugely popular with the flag-waving crowds who cram into the Royal Albert Hall for the annual music extravaganza.

But Mr Morrison takes a different view, describing the showstoppers a “toe-curling embarrassing anachronistic farrago of nationalistic songs”.

And he urged BBC music bosses to replace the songs with a “more reflective” grande finale which does not “provoke offence or ridicule” but “reflects the attitudes of its 21st-century performers and audiences, not their Edwardian predecessors”.

Crowds will be absent from the Royal Albert Hall because of the coronavirus pandemic which Mr Morrison said provided an opportunity to scrap what most fans view as the concert’s most stirring moments.

Writing in BBC Music magazine he said: “When I look around me – particularly at the people sitting in the posh seats whom I’ve never seen at any other Proms – and realise that I can detect absolutely no sign of irony as they roar out these crudely jingoistic texts.

“On the contrary, they seem to mean every single word. And even if they don’t, what comes across to the worldwide TV audience is a stereotype of Little England that was already being lampooned when I first went to the Proms half a century ago.

“With massed choirs and a packed, flag-waving audience ruled out on medical grounds, there will never be a better moment to drop that toe-curling embarrassing anachronistic farrago of nationalistic songs that concludes the Last Night of the Proms.

“And I don’t meant drop them just for this year. I mean forever.

“They form a kind of unholy trinity: Jerusalem, Land of Hope and Glory and Rule, Britannia!

“Jerusalem I can just about endure, though I think the questioning, almost incredulous nuances of William Blake’s words are being massively misunderstood if they are hurled out like a football chant.

“But the other two? Each year I try to convince myself that they are being performed ‘ironically’.

“After all, there can’t be many people in 2020 who think that Britain really does rule the waves or that God will make us ‘mightier still’ with each passing epoch.

“How else could you sing those words, except as history re-enacted as farce?”

Mr Morrison is not the first to call for the songs to be axed.

Pop singer Lily Allen provoked outrage last year when took to social media to demand bans claiming they contained lyrics on slavery and links to the British Empire.”

    • If you do not like it stay home, but do no presume to decide for the people that do.

“I was warmly welcomed, got some financial support and the Taliban promised us that due to my sacrifices, they would give me agricultural land,” he told the Telegraph last week by telephone.

His capture, a brutal interrogation and then sentence inside Bagram prison north of Kabul have taken their toll and he wants to return to a simple life on the land, he said. Yet if he was called on to rejoin his former comrades, he would not hesitate, he claimed….”

  6. Poll: More Italians Concerned with Racism Under Leftist Coalition Govt (breitbart, Jul 11, 2020)
    https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2020/07/11/poll-more-italians-concerned-racism-leftist-coalition-government/

“At least 60 per cent of Italians say they are worried about racism in Italy today under the leftist coalition government, a 13 per cent increase from a poll taken when populist Matteo Salvini’s League was in the coalition.

The poll, conducted by Demos & Pi survey, reveals that a majority of Italians are concerned about problems of racism in the country, with younger members of the public expressing the most concern over the issue.

Eighty-four per cent of those under 29 and 69 per cent between 30 and 44 said they were concerned about growing problems of racism, Italian newspaper Il Giornale reports. Only those over 65 were sceptical, with 48 per cent saying they agreed racism was a growing issue.

The newspaper notes that the results are much higher, 13 per cent, than a previous poll by Demos and Pi released in Septemeber 2018 when populist Senator Matteo Salvini served as Interior Minister and many in the mainstream press claimed there was growing racism.

Just 47 per cent of those surveyed in 2017 said racism was a major issue in Italy. That proportion is far less than under the leftist coalition of the Five Star Movement (M5S) and the Democratic Party (PD), led by Prime minister Giuseppe Conte, which has reversed Salvini’s prior policy of closing ports to migrant transport NGOs.

What has caused the increase in worry over racism in Italy is not clear, although the newspaper notes the growing influence of the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement across many countries in recent weeks…”

  7. Britain Concretes over Almost 835,000 Acres as Mass Migration Drives Housing Demand (breitbart, Jul 11, 2020)
    https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2020/07/11/britain-concretes-million-acres-housing/

“Almost 835,000 acres have been concreted over in Britain, new data shows, while the so-called Conservative Party wants to build over even more green belt land to make way for new housing.

Satellite analysis revealed that between 1990 and 2015, a total of 1,303 square miles (3,376 square kilometres) in Britain was lost to urban sprawl.

Overall, grasslands were reduced by an astonishing 2,960 square miles (7,668 square kilometres), or 1.9 million acres — although a portion of this was replaced by woodland.

The UK Centre of Ecology and Hydrology (UKCEH), which carried out the study, pointed out that the landscape covered by new urban development, most of which was in England, constitutes an area almost the size of Cornwall.

Britain’s population soared from 57 million in 1990 to an estimated 65.6 million in 2016, with mass immigration responsible for 90 per cent of population growth in England between the years 2005 and 2014.

The Migration Watch UK think tank has previously claimed that keeping up with the additional housing demands driven by mass immigration will require the construction of the equivalent of one new home every six minutes, “night and day”.

Indeed, even in places like the South Downs National Park plans have been approved for the construction of 250 new houses every year.

Research carried out last year showed that relaxing restrictions around building on Britain’s green belt — policy designed to protect Britain’s countryside from urban sprawl — would be deeply unpopular with voters.

Only 15 per cent of the public and just 13 per cent of Conservative Party supporters said they would back proposals making it easier to build housing and other urban infrastructure on green belt land.

Despite this, a number of key Tory figures including former housing secretary and chancellor, Sajid Javid, have expressed support for concreting over more of Britain’s countryside.

These also include international trade secretary and equalities minister Liz Truss, who has repeatedly argued that “a lot more” green belt land should be ripped up to make way for housing.

Bow Group chairman Ben Harris-Quinney told Breitbart London: “The Conservative Party, at both local and national level, have consistently talked a good game about preserving our green belt and countryside. The experience of their last 10 years in government has been totally contrary to this stated aim, however.”

“We continue to see record numbers of people pouring into the country each year, usually exceeding 600,000, which is more than the population of Manchester,” he said, describing it as “no surprise” that such a huge area of the United Kingdom has been concreted over “by successive governments all addicted to mass immigration.”

“A Bow Group study in 2016 found that 83 per cent of new British citizens were either foreign-born or born to a foreign parent. If it wasn’t for immigration, Britain would have no need to turn its green and pleasant land into housing estates.”

Harris-Quinney, who heads Britain’s oldest conservative think tank, added that the government, which claims to want to be the “greenest ever”, would “do well to ignore [child climate change activist] Greta Thunberg” and to instead listen to its own voters’ pleas to maintain the country’s green belt.”

  8. ‘Allahu Akbar’ Man Robs Pensioner and Defecates on Him (breitbart, Jul 11, 2020)
    https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2020/07/11/allahu-akbar-man-robs-pensioner-and-defecates-on-him/

“A 53-year-old man in the French commune of Le Crosic has been sentenced to 18 months in prison after robbing an 85-year-old, beating him, and defecating on him.

The incident took place on May 29th earlier this year and saw the man open the window of the elderly man’s home and steal clothing, a telephone and three knives. Initially, he left the home but returned later after he had left his shoes in the home.

The 85-year-old, who was home at the time, confronted the man when he returned and attempted to stop him. The pensioner was then beaten by the burglar with several punches and while the 85-year-old was on the ground, the attacker defecated on him and smeared faeces on his head, France Bleu reports.

Police later arrested the 53-year-old who threatened to kill them, shouting, “Allahu Akbar, I’m going to come back with a car, smash everything, make carnage.”

According to the broadcaster the man has already been convicted for 19 crimes, including murder.

The court handed down a 24-month sentence but six months were suspended. The man will be subject to two years of probation and is banned from Le Croisic.

The incident comes just weeks after an Egyptian national, also yelling “Allahu Akbar”, attacked police in the town of Fiumicino just outside of Rome in neighbouring Italy. The 29-year-old, armed with Japanese-style nunchucks, had been threatening municipal workers before being confronted by police.

The “Allahu Akbar” phrase was also yelled earlier this year by a knifeman in Metz who attempted to attack police with a knife but was subdued after officers shot him in the leg.

The incident came just days after two other attacks in which people used the phrase in Paris, where one person died, and in Germany, where a Turkish national attempted to attack police with a knife.”

  9. Mali protests in 2nd day despite president’s call for talks (abcnews, Jul 11. 2020)
    https://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/mali-protests-2nd-day-presidents-call-talks-71730596

“Police fired tear gas Saturday in Mali’s capital as scattered groups came out for a second straight day of anti-government protests, defying the president’s latest call for dialogue.

The turnout was far smaller than the thousands who surged through the streets Friday, briefly occupying the state television station and setting fires.

At least one person was killed Friday, said Djime Kante, spokesman for the Gabriel Toure hospital in Bamako.

Tear gas wafted into the hospital on Saturday, and the wounded continued to arrive. “At this moment there are more than 40,” Kante said.

Friday’s developments marked a major escalation in the growing movement against President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita, who still has two years left in office in this West African country long destabilized by Islamic extremists.

His overnight address to the nation took a conciliatory gesture days after he had tried to appease the protesters by promising to revamp the constitutional court whose legislative election results in April have been disputed by several dozen candidates.

“I would like once again to reassure our people of my willingness to continue the dialogue and reiterate my readiness to take all measures in my power to calm the situation,” he said.

The anti-government movement still wants the National Assembly dissolved. Its name, the June 5 Movement, or M5, reflects the day demonstrators first took to the streets en masse.

While the group has officially backed down from its calls that Keita leave office, some protesters still want him gone.

Keita came to power after a French-led military operation to oust Islamic extremists from power in northern Mali’s towns in 2013, winning the first democratic elections organized after a military coup the year before.

Despite the presence of U.N. peacekeepers, and French and regional forces backing Malian troops, extremist groups continue to mount attacks.

Last year was particularly deadly as hundreds of soldiers were killed in the north, forcing the military at one point to close down some of its most remote and vulnerable outposts. It prompted criticism of how the government was handling the crisis.

The last democratically elected leader before Keita, President Amadou Toumani Toure, was overthrown in the 2012 coup after a decade in power. The political chaos that ensued has been blamed for creating a power vacuum that allowed the Islamic insurgency to take hold in the north. Following international pressure, that coup leader later handed over power to a civilian transitional government that organized elections.”

  18. Italy Seizes NGO Vessel That Brought In Coronavirus Positive Migrants (breitbart, Jul 11, 2020)
    https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2020/07/11/italy-seizes-ngo-vessel-brought-coronavirus-positive-migrants/

“Italian authorities have seized the Sea-Watch 3 vessel, citing several “irregularities” after the ship brought over 200 migrants to Italy last month, many of them infected with the Chinese coronavirus.

The vessel has been docked at the Sicilian port of Porto Empedocle for several weeks after dropping off migrants on June 25th and was under quarantine due to the fact at least 28 of the migrants on board later tested positive for the coronavirus.

The Italian Coast Guard commented on the seizure of the vessel, saying they had found “many technical and operational irregularities that endangered the safety of not only the crew but also those who had been rescued or were to be rescued,” local newspaper La Sicilia reports.

The coast guard added that the vessel would remain in administrative seizure until the problems on board were addressed by the crew and by the country whose flag the vessel displays, which in this case is Germany.

The seizure is not the first time that Germany-based NGOs fell afoul of Italian authorities in recent years.

Last year, an NGOs migrant transport captained by German pro-migration activist Carola Rackete rammed an Italian patrol boat after being banned from entering a port on the island of Lampedusa by former Interior Minister Matteo Salvini.

Rackete was later arrested, and the ship seized by Italian authorities — but eventually released in December 2019.

Sea-Watch is among several migrant transport NGOs once again active in the Libyan search and rescue (SAR) area. NGOs began to resume operations after the coronavirus lockdown measures started to be eased in Italy and elsewhere.”

  21. Le Pen Calls for ‘Decisive Steps’ to Fight Islamist Radicalisation in France

In February, France’s President Emmanuel Macron pledged a crackdown on Islamic separatism, also vowing to end a system that stipulates foreign countries sending imams to preach in French mosques.

In a communique released on Thursday, president of the French party National Rally, Marine Le Pen, called for more practical steps to resolve the threat of “Islamist radicalisation” in the country.

She recalled a recent parliamentary report that expressed concern over “the reality” of such radicalisation, also pointing out that “a minority of the French population of Muslim faith tends” to accept “intransigent” behaviour under the guise of religion.

Le Pen also referred to a similar report issued by French MPs in 2019, when they voiced alarm about “the rise in religious communitarianism which is spreading in enclaves where separatism intends to impose” its own laws that are different from those of France.

In an apparent criticism of Emmanuel Macron’s handling of the issue, the National Rally head noted that she wonders how many Salafist mosques have been closed since the French president’s promise in February to fight Islamic separatism in the country.

She emphasised that the time is ripe to take “decisive steps” in the face of spreading “Islamist totalitarianism, an ideology which does not recognise the separation of religion and the state, a great principle of democratic and pluralist societies”.

“We must put an end to compromises and complacency. It is now necessary to prohibit all the radical Islamist groups operating in certain areas and enjoying total impunity to remind that in France […] no religious dogma should prevail over the destiny of the French people”, Le Pen underscored.

She also highlighted the need to “stop a massive and anarchic immigration which only reinforces the communitarianism, paving the way for spreading radical Islamism”.

Macron Vows to Grapple With Islamist Separatism

The remarks followed Macron pledging in mid-February to restrict other countries from sending imams and Islamic teachers to France, part of the French government’s efforts to prevent “separatism”.

“This end to the consular Islam system is extremely important to curb foreign influence and make sure everybody respects the laws of the republic”, he told reporters during a visit to the eastern French city of Mulhouse at the time.

Macron added that the government had asked the French Muslim Council (CFCM), which represents Islam in the country, to focus on training imams on French soil and ensuring they can speak French and not spread radical Islamist views.

“The problem is when in the name of a religion, some want to separate themselves from the republic and therefore not respect its laws. […] Mosques financed with transparency with imams trained in France and respectful of republican values and principles, that’s how we will create conditions so that Muslims in France can freely practice their religion”, the French president said.

He referred to 300 imams who are annually sent to France, vowing that the practice will stop as of next year. The country’s Muslim community remains the biggest of its kind in Europe.

  23. Deutsche Pravda – The right-wing extremists plot to overthrow the German government

Amid reports of right-wing extremist activity in the German police and armed forces, radical groups are said to be preparing a coup against the government. The federal Interior Ministry has promised to crack down on right-wing groups.

Concerns are growing about reports of right-wing extremist activity in the German police and armed forces — but senior officers and politicians seem reluctant to deal with the situation.

Journalist Dirk Laabs has found evidence that far-right conspirators illegally received ammunition from government warehouses, stockpiled weapons, and made concrete plans for a coup attempt — to be known as “Day X.”

The attempt was supposedly to be carried out during a time of national emergency — like the current coronavirus crisis. Some domestic security experts, including the Left Party’s Martina Renner, are worried about these developments. Renner says this may be the moment that the alleged plotters were waiting for.

In June 2019, several current and former officers of an elite police unit in the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern were arrested, suspected of supplying one of these far-right conspirators with large quantities of ammunition. Investigators say that the ammo came from military and police units from all over Germany, including the states of Bavaria and North Rhine-Westphalia. Authorities in those two states have not yet been able to explain how the ammunition ended up in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

Fears about right-wing activity among the German police and military have been growing for years. In December 2019, Interior Minister Horst Seehofer announced plans to expand and strengthen federal police agencies that are involved in the effort to combat right-wing extremism and terrorism.

  24. What happened in Ontario? Did Liberal, Jane Philpott help Doug Ford make the decision everyone has to wear a mask in order to go in any store? I was shocked when I was told I could NOT enter the grocery store today without a mask. After all these months, and no COVID cases on the Island people now have to wear a mask. Well I sat and watched all the trained seals entering the store with masks that did not fit right and decided to go back home. I can afford to lose 10 pounds and I have a case of wine. Unbelievable how quickly people fall in line.

    • Yes that is the scariest part of all. And how reluctant people are to voice an opinion on the issue. When I go into a store, and I have a few times, sometimes with and sometimes without a mask, I often engage the staff and they are terrified to say anything not neutral about the whole thing.

One store complained to me about how one busybody did a FB post about them and nearly destroyed their hard won business. The post dealt with perceived failures of the letter of the various policies concerning covid behaviours.

Communism is done by regular folks who get a whiff of power and just cannot help themselves from using it to club their neighbours. As if a few months ago we weren’t all fully accepting of the risk of being out with millions of others doing our thing. And now suddenly everyone has the power to destroy anyone if they don’t fall in line. I have seen it with my own eyes. People who normally wouldn’t dare openly challenge people in public over any other regulatory matter. J walking or whatever, suddenly feel empowered to leap on anyone outside of the appearance of obeisance. I and I do mean appearance. The bearded guys I see with a mask on and under their noses for that matter, is nothing more than bad theatre. But it suffices.

Which suggest this is about politics and not medicine. Obedience and not science. The transformation of our democratic civilization into a totalitarian one where truth matters in reverse.

  25. Missouri AG On Warrant Served On St. Louis Couple: Democrat Prosecutor Has History Of ‘Politically Motivated Decisions,’ Has Not Charged Those Who Attacked Prayerful Protesters

Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt responded to Friday night’s breaking news that a search warrant was served and at least one gun confiscated from the St. Louis couple who defended their home last month from an angry mob by saying that the Democrat prosecutor who was handling the decision has an alleged track record of making politically motivated decisions.

“I know this is being handled by a local prosecutor, not something you’d be involved with, but what is your take on what we’re seeing tonight?” Fox News host Shannon Bream asked Schmitt. “The local warrant there signed off by a judge and being executed by St. Louis police?”

  26. Migrants Roam Free in Sicilian Town Despite Quarantine (breitbart, Jul 11, 2020)
    https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2020/07/11/migrants-roam-free-sicilian-town-despite-quarantine/

“Migrants placed under coronavirus quarantine in the town of Siculiana have been allowed to essentially roam free, after police were allegedly commanded not to use coercion to stop them breaking lockdown rules.

Police were allegedly ordered to politely ask roving migrants to return to the reception centre under lockdown. The instructions have largely been ignored by many migrants who roam free in the town, according to angry locals.

Around the end of May, a group of Tunisians fled the reception centre despite mandatory quarantine, causing locals to protest in a local square. But according to a report from newspaper Il Giornale, migrants continue to constantly violate quarantine measures.

While police have been told not to use force, officers have attempted to block migrants from leaving the reception centre. As a result, migrants have injured at least four policemen in separate incidents within the last week.

“They know that some of them will be stopped, but many leave. Even those in quarantine,” a source told the newspaper and said that groups of between 20-30 migrants storm the gates regularly.

Similar incidents of migrants escaping quarantine have been reported elsewhere on the island of Sicily, with seven Tunisians escaping in Pozzallo and 47 escaping in Comiso in recent weeks.

The spread of the Wuhan coronavirus by migrants arriving in Italy has been a major concern since the outbreak. Such fears were confirmed after at least two migrant transport NGOs have brought migrants infected with the virus to Italy.

In April, doctor Caterina Ciufegni, who works for the German migrant transport NGO Sea-Eye, admitted that she believed ferrying migrants to Italy was more important than concerns over the spread of the Chinese virus.

“Facing people who run away from torture, coronavirus takes second place. I think we all accepted the risk,” she said.”

  27. Europe: Rape Victims Accused of Racism

    by Raymond Ibrahim

An increasingly popular idea is that whenever races clash, only minorities can be victims. The notion is hardly limited to the recent riots in America. Elements of such thinking often appear in other contexts.

British women, for instance, including rape victims who drew attention to “Asian” (Pakistani and South Asian) sex grooming gangs, are also being attacked by the “woke” establishment.

Earlier this month in the UK, Sarah Champion, a Labor politician and MP for Rotherham (the epicenter of sex grooming), was accused of “fanning the flames of racial hatred” and “acting like a neo-fascist murderer.” Her crime? She had dared to assert that “Britain has a problem with British Pakistani men raping and exploiting white girls.”

The same elements accusing Champion of being a “murderer” also characterized the UK’s anti-extremism program, Prevent, as being “built upon a foundation of Islamophobia and racism.”

A few weeks earlier, an article titled, “I was raped by Rotherham grooming gang—now I still face racist abuse online,” appeared. In it, a British woman (alias, “Ella”) revealed that her Muslim rapists called her “a white whore, a white b***h,” during the more than 100 times she was raped in her youth by the Pakistani grooming gang.

  28. “This Is What Mobocracy Looks Like”
    by William F. Jasper – July 10, 2020

    Excerpt:

What Raz Simone and the rest of the anarchist occupiers most likely do not understand is that their days are numbered. They will be disposed of when they are no longer needed. They would do well to read “Bolsheviks Shooting Anarchists,” the desperate letter by anarchist leaders Emma Goldman and Alexander Berkman written in January 1922 from Stockholm, Sweden, where they had fled to escape death at the hands of their erstwhile communist “comrades.” Goldman and Berkman, the most famous anarcho-communists of their day (and still lionized by the Left today), lamented, “The prisons of Russia, of Ukraina, of Siberia, are filled with men and women — aye, in some cases with mere children — who dare hold views that differ from those of the ruling Communist Party.” In fact, they wrote, “it is not at all necessary to express your dissension in word or act to become subject to arrest; the mere holding of opposing views makes you the legitimate prey of the de facto supreme power of the land, the Tcheka” (Lenin’s secret police).

Goldman and Berkman, who had participated in the persecution of Russian Christians, whined, “it is the Anarchists who now suffer the most ruthless and systematic persecution.” They charged that the Bolsheviks “by the use of machine guns and artillery ‘liquidated’ the whole [Anarchist] organization.”

Yes, that is what “democracy” looks like. Which is why our Founders denounced democracy and gave us the rule of law in a constitutional republic. Alexander Hamilton said: “We are a Republican Government. Real liberty is never found in despotism or in the extremes of Democracy.” James Madison, the “Father” of our Constitution, wrote that “democracies have ever been spectacles of turbulence and contention; have ever been found incompatible with personal security, or the rights of property; and have in general been as short in their lives as they have been violent in their deaths.”

    • “The whole curse of the last century has been what is called the Swing of the Pendulum; that is. the idea that Man must go alternately from one extreme to the other. It is a shameful and even shocking fancy; it is the denial of the whole dignity of mankind. When Man is alive he stands still. It is only when he is dead that he swings. But whenever one meets modern thinkers (as one often does) progressing towards a madhouse, one always finds, on inquiry, that they have just had a splendid escape from another madhouse. Thus, hundreds of people become Socialists, not because they have tried Socialism and found it nice, but because they have tried Individualism and found it particularly nasty. Thus, many embrace Christian Science solely because they are quite sick of heathen science; they are so tired of believing that everything is matter that they will even take refuge in the revolting fable that everything is mind. Man ought to march somewhere. But modern man (in his sick reaction) is ready to march nowhere– so long as it is the Other End of Nowhere.”

  29. Brazil: Demonstrators launch campaign to remove President Jair Bolsonaro

Groups of protesters gathered in the Patriarch’s Square in Sao Paulo to demand the destitution of Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, on Friday.

Footage shows demonstrators wearing masks and holding signs, banners calling for the president’s removal.

“‘Out Bolsonaro’ it is not only because we do not want two more years of this madman in office, but also because behind this clown, there is a project to dismantle the state, a state incapable of producing public policies for the people,” said Sergio, one of the protesters.

The protest is part of a national movement that, under the label ‘Out Bolsonaro’, has started to pressure for the president’s removal, who is being held responsible for minimising the threat of the coronavirus pandemic.

On Tuesday, Bolsonaro confirmed that he had been infected with COVID-19.

At least 8,087 migrants have been landed in Italian territory since the beginning of the year.

Over the last 24 hours, at least 618 migrants who were navigating the Mediterranean have landed on Lampedusa island in precarious boats and humanitarian rescue ships. The overcrowding at the access point raised concerns regarding the prevention of COVID-19.

“Except for two exceptional cases with 95 and 268 people on board, all were mini-landings: small boats that evaded controls and landed directly on the island,” agency ANSA reported, adding that a few dozen migrants are being transferred by authorities to different shelters.

The boat carrying 268 people was located near the Libyan coast by the humanitarian sighting plane Moonbird, as reported by Sea Watch, which launched an alert for the “extreme risk of shipwreck.”

However, the migrants, almost all of them from Bangladesh, managed to get close to the Lampedusa’s coast, where they were rescued by the Italian Coast Guard and taken to port.

  33. Iran Ordered to Pay $879 Million over Khobar Towers Blast
    https://english.aawsat.com/home/article/2382946/iran-ordered-pay-879-million-over-khobar-towers-blast

“A Washington, D.C. federal court has ordered Iran to pay $879 million in its decision after finding the Iranian defendants directed the 1996 terrorist bombing of the Khobar Towers in Saudi Arabia where US forces were housed.

Lead attorney Adora Sauer, of MM~LAW LLC, said, “Justice has not forgotten these brave US Air Force veterans and their families. It is an honor and privilege to fight for justice and compensation for these families. The passage of over two decades since the Khobar Towers attack has not thwarted our efforts. We will continue to seek to hold the Government of Iran accountable for this terrorist attack as long as is necessary.”

According to The Associated Press, the plaintiffs, which include 14 injured US Air Force members and 21 of their immediate family members, brought the lawsuit under the terrorism exception to the US Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act. The defendants are Iran, the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps and the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence and Security.

The court ruled that the Iranian government directed and provided material support to Hezbollah terrorists that detonated a 5,000-pound truck bomb at the Khobar Towers complex in Dhahran. The blast killed 19 US airmen and injured more than 400 others at the site charged with monitoring Iraqi compliance with United Nations security council resolutions.

US District Judge Beryl A. Howell found the defendants liable and awarded plaintiffs $132 million for pain and suffering as well as prejudgment interest for a total compensatory damage award of $747 million and $132 million for punitive damages.

The plaintiffs will be eligible for partial payments from the United States Victims of State Sponsored Terrorism Fund, the concept and legislation of which was originated by MM~LAW, to compensate American victims of acts of international terrorism with funds obtained from fines and forfeitures levied against companies caught illegally laundering money for sanctioned countries and persons.

The attorneys also intend to pursue enforcement of the judgments through litigation intended to seize Iranian assets, AP said.”
