2. New Brunswick article from APRIL 2 of 2020 showing they had no deaths then and and lots of infections which they fought by early adoption of Hydroxychlorooquine based treatments.  NOTE: NB Still has a VERY low death rate and is opening all businesses tomorrow, May 9, to half capacity!

New Brunswick is the first Canadian Province to adopt the therapeutic approach of the Marseille University Hospital and Professor Didier Raoult.

 

Dr Gabriel Girouard, microbiologist and infectiologist at the Dr-Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital in Moncton, was interviewed by Journalist Sophie Durocher.

The interview in French covers all the key elements of the New Brunswick approach, which focuses on early treatment of the disease, as recommended by Professor Raoult and his team.

 

An interesting feature of the New-Brunswick approach is that patients will be monitored via tele-medicine. So only cases that require it will be hospitalized.

Dr Girouard explains how several committees, including ethical and medical, reached that decision.

He explained that a register of patients has been created, and that the research will rely on the register to evaluate the effectiveness of the treatment. 

 

He also explained that there wouldn’t be any patients who would be administered placebos – something that he admitted may be polemical.

 

He explained that medical studies can be conducted in different ways. Yes there are randomized studies, but he considers studies based on retrospective cohorts to have a good value.

3. Suspects of Canada Cell Tower Fires Are a Model and Failed Rapper

A Quebec couple, a failed rapper and a former beauty queen, have been charged in connection to a spate of cellphone tower fires over the past week in Quebec.

 

Quebec provincial police arrested Justin-Philippe Pauley, 28, and Jessica Kallas, 25, in Sainte-Adèle, a town about 80 km outside of Montreal, early Thursday morning after two cell towers in nearby towns were lit on fire. Police told VICE they believe the couple are connected to seven cell tower fires in the area over the past week.

Pauley and Kallas are facing charges of arson and mischief, police said.

 

The cell tower fires are similar to fires set across Europe in connection to a conspiracy theory that 5G causes coronavirus. Provincial police spokesman Marc Tessier told VICE on Wednesday that the 5G conspiracy is “only one thing but it’s part of the investigation, for sure.”

(The best understanding I have at this time concerning 5G is that it is the same frequency that we all are bombarded with all day from our wireless routers. If you have no problem from your router, you won’t have a problem with 5G. In fact, the idea is that 5G actually needs less power and covers less distance. So they need more towers to cover the same area. The net result is less EMR hitting us all. It is less penetrating than 4G ELT etc. but much higher speeds and perhaps at this stage, more importantly, greater bandwidth. This is not my area of expertise. But the time has come given the number of people willing to go out and commit vandalism in Canada and Europe for what they think is a good cause, that it isn’t. Please do the work on the subject if it is of concern. There is a great deal of deliberately misleading information about this technology, and for that matter, about a lot of subjects that has the world in crisis. We have to get this right. Whether its about vaccines or 5G, we have to get it right. Not all things government is doing is evil. But lots and lots most certainly is.)

4. Hydroxychloroquine Vs. Remdesivir. What is wrong with this picture?

At the Presidential Briefing on Apr 30, Dr. Anthony Fauci announced early results, prior to peer-review, of one clinical trial using remdesivir, an intravenous (IV) experimental antiviralmedicine in patients hospitalized with COVID-19. At the “warp speed” currently in vogue for the Fauci-led push to a new vaccine, the very next day the FDA issued an Emergency Use Authorization (EAU) for remdesivir to be used in seriously ill hospitalized patients. To announce the emergency approval, President Trump met with the CEO of the drug’s manufacturer, Gilead Sciences, in the Oval Office.

Such rapid authorization is quite unusual with the FDA.

 

Unlike the experimental remdesivir with no prior FDA approval, hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) required two months from reports of successful use in China and South Korea to get the Mar 28 FDA EUA for use in hospitalized COVID-19 patients. HCQ was approved in 1955 for malaria, and later for lupus and rheumatoid arthritis. Over the last 65 years, hundreds of millions of prescriptions have been written for HCQ worldwide.

 

The EUA for HCQ did not, however, expand its availability but imposed restrictions to prevent non-hospitalized patients from accessing the government’s stockpile of the drug. Democrat Governors Cuomo (NY), Sisolak (NV), and Whitmer (MI), then imposed restrictive orders on outpatient use, and all but four states have followed their lead.

In decades of widespread use, HCQ has an impressive safety record. Irregular heart rhythm or damage to the retina occur rarely, usually with high doses used long term. FDA shows only 62 cardiac deaths attributed to HCQ out of more than 50 million prescriptions, or 0.000124 percent (1.2 out of each 1 million Rx). Rheumatology guidelines for lupus and rheumatoid arthritis do not even require baseline electrocardiograms before prescribing HCQ, since the risk is minimal.

 

Approximately $70 million in U.S. taxpayer funding began Gilead’s partnership with the U.S. Army, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and National Institutes of Health (NIH) to develop remdesivir. Initially for treating Ebola, it failed to show benefit and was shelved. If remdesivir is used to treat COVID-19, Gilead shareholders, not the taxpayers, will profit.  

 

Early results of the first clinical trial of remdesivir against placebo in coronavirus were announced at the White House Apr 30, and showed modest benefits, according to TheNew York Times. Surviving patients given remdesivir were discharged 4 days sooner than patients given placebo, though no criteria were given for determining improvement. Death rates were not significantly different. About 25 percent of patients receiving remdesivir had potentially severe side effects, including multiple organ dysfunction, septic shock, acute kidney injury, and low blood pressure. Another 23% showed evidence on lab tests of liver damage.
