1. Man who beheaded bus passenger granted total freedom

(We covered this event in detail at the time, as in the news, Islamic beheading of people for terror was common. The CBC coverage of it at the time was also insane. Not one person on that bus did anything to try and save the man who this psycho decapitated. But CBC made them all into heroes for successfully running away, even going so far as to say that the man who was killed, had sacrificed himself for the group so they could get away. I needed an antiemetic after reading that.)

WINNIPEG, Manitoba — A Canadian man who was found not criminally responsible for beheading and cannibalizing a fellow passenger on a Greyhound bus has been granted his freedom.

Manitoba’s Criminal Code Review Board announced Friday it has given Will Baker, formerly known as Vince Li, an absolute discharge, meaning he is longer subject to monitoring.

Baker, a diagnosed schizophrenic, killed Tim McLean, a young carnival worker who was a complete stranger to Baker, in 2008. A year later he was found not criminally responsible due to mental illness.

McLean’s mother, Carol de Delley, has been outspoken against granting Baker freedom, saying there would be no way to ensure he continued to take his medication.

She declined comment in a post on Facebook Friday, saying “I have no words.”

Baker was initially kept in a secure wing of a psychiatric hospital but was given more freedom every year.

He has been living on his own in a Winnipeg apartment since November, but was still subject to monitoring to ensure he took his medication.

3. Neighbour of French Terror Attacker Arrested Claiming to Have Same ‘Plans’

The neighbour of a man who attempted to assassinate several police officers in Colombes on Monday has been arrested for claiming he has the same “plans” as the suspected terrorist.

Police arrested the 20-year-old while searching the home of 29-year-old Youssef Tihlah, who rammed his car into two police officers on motorbikes on Monday in an attempt to kill the officers in an apparent terrorist attack.

The neighbour challenged police, according to a report from Le Point, and said that he had similar “plans” as the attacker, without specifying any details.

Pictures of the attack were also found on his mobile phone with investigators waiting to determine if he took the photos and videos himself or if they were sent to him.

4. 3rd B.C. seniors home owned by Chinese company fails standard of care, placed under health authority control

Complaints about Selkirk Seniors Village cited neglect, emotional abuse, staffing shortages, hygiene issues

Conditions at the Selkirk Seniors Village in Victoria are so dire the Vancouver Island Health Authority has taken over daily operations of the care home.

That makes Selkirk the third B.C. seniors facility owned and operated by a private company under the control of the Chinese government to have an administrator appointed to run it.

The move comes on the heels of a damning report by South Island Medical Health Officer Dr. Murray Fyfe, who assessed the status of dozens of complaints from families with loved ones living at Selkirk.

The complaints cited neglect, emotional abuse, staffing shortages, health and hygiene issues and dangerous facilities.

“Based on the number and nature of contraventions outlined in the final investigation summary, it is my opinion that action is required to protect the health, safety and dignity of persons in care at Selkirk Seniors Village,” wrote Fyfe.

(The article above is from the CBC, adding weight to the old adage, “The Devil will tell you a thousand truths to sell you one lie”. In the CBC’s case its more likely that the story is much much worse than this and they told us the minimum possible to stop further investigation.)

6. Danish Police Foil Terror Plot in Copenhagen

STOCKHOLM (Sputnik) – Copenhagen police arrested a man on Thursday for plotting a terror attack in the Danish capital, the city’s chief police inspector said during a press briefing.

The operation was conducted together with the national intelligence and security authority, PET, Jorgen Bergen Skov said.

The suspect will appear in court behind closed doors on Friday. He is accused of having tried to illegally obtain weapons and ammunition and is believed to have been motivated by Islamist ideology.

7. I really hope heads will roll when this BS is over. I guess that famous experiment where students where made to play guard and other students were made to play prisoner and before long the fake guards were really beating on the fake prisoners when a month before they were all classmates, I guess that experiment had real predictive value.

Today on Dennis Prager’s show, a really recommended listen (and if you don’t know how to get it, download the TalkStreamLive app and install it on your phone and you can get Prager and Mark Levin and all the greats) and he explained that he had to go to an. “underground salon” to get a hair cut.

That got me thinking. Its like the days of prohibition. You have to know the code to enter the speak-easy. Except when you do the secret knock, “Shave and a haircut, two bits” its actually literal. Dennis was letting us know that he actually breaks the law, well not really law is it? its more fiat orders from the governor of California, in order to get a haircut along with whoever else works there giving haircuts, would also have to be breaking… the orders.

What worries me in these days of all deaths are from Covid19/Wuhan Flu, is that pretty much anyone can die or be killed for any reason and its all down to Covid. What a fantastic opportunity for those in control. I hope Dennis is watching his back.

He is after all, one of the loudest, yet most reasoned voices against the totalitarian solution to this year’s flu season.

  1. We are living in a very Orwellian world one where the written laws no longer have any power but the whims of politicians and police do. Unless some politicians come to their senses, politicians in all nations the entire world is going to go up in flames some time this summer.

  2. 3/ Seventy veterans at a Mass. nursing home died of this just a bad flu season.

I was on the phone with a friend who lost 3 family members in the last 10 days. She’s recovered – she’s likely the person who infected the others. Devastated, poor thing.

Conservatives keep churning stories of skewed death counts. Nothing but hype and fraud, as they see it. I read 22 pages of obits where there should be 8. And all someone like Andy Bostom can see is a communist conspiracy, fronting his medical credentials to advance a politically determined narrative.

There are vast differences in the impact of this disease in different regions. That doesn’t get acknowledged, in policy or commentary. I’m learning things about people I’d rather not know. An awareness that’s alienating.

    • It is profoundly frustrating trying to make sense of this at all. We are being given the mushroom treatment by politicians, media, and vast amounts of what I suspect is Russian disinformation.

I really have no clue what is going on.

The thing with the so-called Spanish flu of 1918, we all now have read that it wasn’t from Spain and it lasted beyond 1918. There was a war going on, so the information flow related to the illness conflicted enough with the various war efforts that no one wanted to claim the flu! https://www.history.com/topics/world-war-i/1918-flu-pandemic

“I really have no clue what is going on.”
Yes. This must have been the way it felt in 1918.

Seriously, that’s the clue. Is it possible that creating confusion is deliberate? What is the confusion obscuring?

Somewhere someone knows something more about this virus. Why is that entity silent or being silenced?
