Two men in the UK were arrested on charges of racially aggravated offenses after they posted stickers related to the coronavirus outbreak which said “pubs closed, borders open.”
The stickers, another of which said “open border, virus disorder,” were posted on lamp posts, bins, bus stop signs and bollards around areas of Sheffield. They are believed to be the work of the Hundred-Handers group, described as “far right” by the BBC.
Police said two men, aged 20 and 22, were held on suspicion of racially aggravated public order offences and have now been released while investigations continue.
Local councillor Miskell said the stickers were an affront to diversity.
(This is a profoundly important story in this site’s opinion. Like the charges against Geert Wilders for doing the exact job he was elected to do, or the removal of legal rights from Marine Le Pen and then charges laid against her for providing proof positive of her policy ideas, or the current “kidnapping” charges against Salvini for refusing to let ILLEGAL migrants enter Italy, which was not just his right but his responsibility, we see that people in the UK are charged with pointing out selective enforcement which violates the communist agenda. It isn’t even disguised as littering or defacing property etc. the charges and rationale are IDEOLOGICAL and have nothing to do with actual law!)

A Calgary doctor who expressed concern over a local coffee shop’s crowded patio received a Hitler meme from the cafe’s owner comparing her to people in Nazi Germany who turned in their neighbours.
Last week, Dr. Nicola Watkins wrote an email to Purple Perk owner Paul Overholt urging him to be more strict about enforcing physical distancing amid the global pandemic.
The cafe is on Fourth Street in the southwest community of Mission.
Overholt read CBC News the portion of the email he says was “way over the top.”
“Groups of people are still socializing on your patio property,” reads the email. “Stop this now unless your cafe would like to be responsible for hospitalizations and deaths in Alberta.”
Watkins is a family doctor whose clinic remains open for patients. She said she works long hours in personal protective equipment, returning home after work to her young family.
(That is what this coffee shop’s crime was. Offending someone. Canada really is ripe for communism. After all, that is how it works. Just like Islam’s sharia, it empowers each of us to destroy anyone we don’t like so long as it furthers the power of the state. You can claim someone did blasphemy and they are over. Or they said or did something ‘racist’, which at this point means object to an ideology which progressives support at that moment. But that power each of us now hold ONLY works in one direction. You cannot report a neighbour for blasphemy of a religion that isn’t Islam under sharia, as attacks on other faiths is policy. And you cannot turn a neighbour in under communism for being too deferential to the leader or the party. Only if they aren’t deferential enough. Watch North Korea on any national holiday for examples. Each tries to outdo the other clapping or weeping depending on what is called for, as the consequences of insufficient dedication to the state means three generations in slave labour if your male and being raped and killed once pregnant if your female while doing slave labour. The cafe has closed its patio now. And I agree with the coffee shop owner. Life is risk and we all have the right to determine how much risk we take on.)

Their position of being caught between two competing forces was one of the reasons I chose them to use as a news source, that and the way they spent more time providing information. The Straits Times is good but CNA is better.

I think “war zone” indicates triage level, maybe chaos and lack of beds/supplies. A hospital where I live has for years has had a few numbered beds for years that are in an ER hallway for when it is crowded.

Our city hospitals see “war zone” conditions. Say, Tufts/New England Medical Center is gunshot wounds and urban mayhem. Plus bread-&-butter diabetes and COPD, of course.
Others, like Mass General, Beth Israel-Deaconess (BI), and the Brigham, are tertiary care magnets. For elective surgeries that generate revenue, like knee and hip replacements, you’ll choose BI. Wait a year after referral for an initial SLE or MS workup at the Brigham.
My nephrologist cancelled everything starting the first week in March. Such specialty clinics are closed for the duration… Excess morbidity/mortality as a result of this shutdown will inform policy makers in the future. Hopefully.
I have no idea what these places are doing now. Certain floors are dedicated to Wuhan cases, but these are megacenters, hundreds of beds, active teaching hospitals. What’s a residency in endocrinology or orthopedics worth these days?
