3. Half the U.S. Supply of Trump-Touted Virus Drug Now Cut Off

(Bloomberg) — Nearly half the supply of hydroxychloroquine to the U.S. comes from makers in India, a flow that has now been abruptly stanched after the Asian nation banned exports of all forms of the malaria drug touted by President Donald Trump as a “game changer” for treating the coronavirus.

 

According to data compiled by Bloomberg Intelligence, 47% of the U.S. supply of the drug last year came from India makers. Only a handful of suppliers in the top 10 are non-Indian, such as Actavis, now a subsidiary of Israeli generics giant Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. It’s likely that some of their production facilities are nevertheless located in India, the biggest maker of generic drugs in the world.

India’s export ban on the drug is aimed at ensuring it has enough supply for domestic use after the American president’s endorsement sparked global stockpiling of the medication. As the coronavirus pandemic widens globally, countries competing for supplies have enacted export bans or restrictions on goods from rice in Vietnam to face masks in Germany.

For the at least the third time since March, a vehicle belonging to a member of the far-right German political party appears to have been torched on purpose. The AfD says it is the victim of far-left “violence.”

 

A car belonging to a member of Germany’s far-right Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) party was set on fire early Monday morning in Berlin’s Schöneberg neighborhood, the party said in a statement.

 

Berlin police have not released information on who set the fire, but confirmed that the incident was being treated as an act of “arson with a possible political motive.”

Frank Hansel, chief whip for the AfD in the local parliament for the Berlin city-state, shared a photo of his burned-out Jaguar on Twitter.

 

“What’s really bad is that people are almost getting used to this leftist orgy of violence, and so nothing follows from the CDU, the SPD, or the FDP,” Hansel wrote, tagging the three mainstream parties, some of whose members had spoken out against earlier similar instances.

And at the moment, in most parts of the world, due to lockdown, most of the transmission that’s actually happening in many countries now is happening in the household at family level. In some senses, transmission has been taken off the streets and pushed back into family units. Now, we need to go and look in families to find those people who may be sick and remove them and isolate them in a safe and dignified manner.

(And in a safe and dignified manner, anyone who attempts to forcibly remove family members might find that lead poisoning is more deadly even than Corona. Who’s actual mortality rate has not been confirmed anywhere.)

    What a year 2015 was. It carried a lot of freight for the melodrama of Spygate and the U.S. 2016 election. But it was also a big year for the Wuhan Institute of Virology; for a biotech company that works with the biosafety level-4 lab there; and for the exotic realm of gain-of-function research into coronaviruses – in particular those in the SARS family (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome viruses), like COVID-19.

    As is so often the case, we’re back looking at 2015 because of what’s happening in 2020. The course of communal human life has been brought to a screeching halt across the entire planet by the eruption among us of the COVID-19 coronavirus. In a mere eight weeks, the U.S. has gone from a roaring economy to a ghost town, uneasily aware that as things get worse, the system we’ve lived in for decades doesn’t have a way to combat-bridge us to a future of reliable expectations.

    There are too many tremendous implications to get into all of them. Ironically, China is the last nation you want to be if U.S. tax receipts are about to crash and burn bigger than any such historical conflagration, ever. If our tax receipts tank, it’s not servicing debt that our federal government is going to prioritize.

    Which compounds the irony and, let us say, the quizzy face we may wear when contemplating all the coincidences attending the new melodrama – which at some point we’re going to give a -gate handle to. Will it be Virusgate? Maybe Wuhangate? (“Chinagate” has been done.)

As this was a direct reference to the actual events in the Vedas his post vanished suddenly into digital hell and I cannot remember his name. The book “Forbidden Archaeology? also tells of the very many discoveries that simply do not “compute” WRT the currently accepted fables that they call “history” and “prehistory” as these were the first areas controlled by the Left. Publish anything that disagrees with the fables and you will lose your tenure and your funding. It makes me wonder who exactly are pulling the strings here. Why is it necessary to cloud/hide our history? What is hidden that we should not see?

    • On this subject what about all of the evidence that says Europeans visited the Americas many Centuries before Columbus?

      • The Vikings certainly did…(loads of sites and artefacts) but alas! Not the muslims). But artefacts discovered by someone who lost her position over it, found artefacts that predated the arrival of ANY indian(NA) or proto-indian(SA) peoples and they had more in common with west Asian tools (European precursors and probably white). IIRC these were dated some 60,000+ years by several methods. Another case in a coal mine a bronze hammer that no normal man could wield was found in another coal mine. Both of these were rubbished as it disturbed the indian narrative ignoring the fact that not a few Indians in the west and NW had fair skin and occasional blue eyes long before the region was explored by white men.
        A more extreme example was in in a coal mine in ?? state in the USA a masonry wall was discovered with its blocks still in place within the coal seam which was Carboniferous in time. Hard to handle that one but IIRC the blocks were placed to tightly that a razor blade s could not penetrate the seam. Many more in that book although most are more believable. My father was convinced that there was an ancient city in central Australia(on the Great Inland Sea destroyed by the aborigines and before desertification) that dated well before aboriginal settlement. Recent mummy DNA testing proves that west African DNA did not exist in Egypt until the muslim conquest and that they were either white(the elite) or light brown in skin colour. Asian, Enough! : )

        • They have found a lot of Roman artifacts along the Rio Grande that has all been dismissed as planted artifacts.

          There have been artifacts found in Florida that predate the Asian crossing the Bering Straits and the DNA is European. You don’t hear about them.

          • No you wont as it does not fit with the preferred narrative. Those Florida artefacts are similar to the ones I discussed above and pre Bering strait,
            The fact is, paranoia aside, a well organized attempt to mask much of our prehistory has been ongoing since the early 20th century. I am curious as to what they are trying, so hard, to conceal as they ruthlessly destroy the careers and lives of any who dissent and while that is typically Leftist, it is not really explicable politically. I am not exactly a conspiracy theorist yet but it certainly reeks of such as it is so well organized and so comprehensive.
            I am surprised that the Romans visited the US as they were usually only coastal sailors. Venturing out into the open sea was simply suicide with the vessels they used and even the Egyptians (Heyerdahl aside) were the same and crossing the Atlantic in a reed boat or a trireme sounds unlikely. But then who made the maps that were the basis to the Piri Reis map? It certainly was NOT the Romans who ,mapped the coastline of pre ice Antarctica nor who walked from the far south to teach the Incas , the Mayans and the Egyptians (IMO) how to use stone)Viracocha).
            I had better stop as this is not the place to vent my curiosity.
