Iran: Rouhani slams US, commemorates Soleimani in Islamic Revolution 41st anniv. speech
Rouhani blasted the US for its continued pressure on Iran and Iranian people as he addressed thousands rallying for the 41st anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Tehran on Tuesday.
“Accepting the Islamic Revolution and the victory of a great nation and driving the superpower [US] out of this land is naturally unbearable for a power like the US,” said Rouhani who was met with “Death to the US” chants.
Rouhani also appealed to the nation left divided in the wake of last year’s petrol protests and the events that followed the killing of Iran’s top Quds official Qasem Soleimani.
“Dear Iranian people, criticism should exist, critics should exist, but please do not be passive,” said Rouhani who urged the people to participate in the upcoming presidential elections. His calls were reportedly met by jeers and boos from the hardliners camp present at the rally.

“An Islamist has been convicted of plotting attacks on London landmarks, just one year after being cleared in a case in which he attacked police officers outside Buckingham Palace with a samurai sword.
Mohiussunnath Chowdhury, 28, has been found guilty of plotting to attack tourist attractions in London such as Madam Tussauds, a double-decker tourist bus, and the Gay Pride Parade. In preparation for his planned attacks, the radical Islamist is said to have practised stabbing and beheading techniques and attended a shooting range training session in order to acquire a gun.
The former Uber driver revealed his intentions to an undercover police officer, saying that the gay pride parade would be a good target because it has “piss-poor security… the way they march they are asking to get hit by some jihadist”, reports the BBC
Chowdhury’s defence argued that he was a “pathetic little man” who “talks and talks, but doesn’t do”. However, in 2017 he attacked police officers outside Buckingham Palace with a samurai sword while shouting “Allah hu Akbar” (“Allah is greater [than your god]” in Arabic).
The terrorist had written a suicide note before the attack that read: “The Queen and her soldiers will all be in the hellfire, they go to war with Muslims around the world and kill them without any mercy.”
Chowdhury was cleared of any charges relating to the attack in December of 2018, after telling the jurors that his intention was to be killed by the police, but his suicidal intentions were later revealed to be a lie. In audio recordings, Chowdhury bragged to an undercover officer about how he tricked the jury in the Buckingham Palace case.
Prosecutors in the latest case against Chowdhury said that he wanted to “unleash death and suffering” on non-Muslims.
“The object was to unleash death and suffering on non-Muslim members of the public who happened to be present, using a firearm, sword and even a van, as part of an attack. Whatever the position in 2017, he was unquestionably preparing for terrorism in 2019,” said the prosecutor, Duncan Atkinson QC.
The Bangladeshi heritage terrorist was surveilled by police in a five-month operation. In a recording played for the court, Chowdhury said that he would be justified in killing a million non-believers if his jihadi cause was the “the pleasure of Allah”.
Richard Smith, the counter-terrorism commander at Scotland Yard, said that Chowdhury is an “extremely dangerous person” who was plotting “to kill and harm as many people as possible”.
Chowdhury now faces a possible life sentence in prison for the preparation of terrorist acts and the spreading terrorist propaganda.”

“The Swedish Migration Board has predicted that the number of asylum seekers entering the country will rise this year, with an increase in Syrian and South American migrants.
The projection claims that at least 23,000 asylum seekers are expected to come to Sweden this year, up from the 21,958 who applied for asylum in 2019, with Migration Board planning manager Henrik Holmer labelling the estimate a “fairly marginal increase”.
The Migration Board noted that there has been an increase in migrant traffic in the Balkan region, particularly with more and more migrants entering Greece in recent months, SVT reports.
In December, Greek government commissioner for the initial reception of refugees Manos Logothetis predicted that Greece could see as many as 100,000 migrant arrivals this year, as camps on Greek islands like Lesbos and Samos continue to operate far above capacity.
The Swedish migration board noted that Turkish policies in northern Syria, such as wanting to move a million Syrians back to Syria, could also have an effect on the number of new asylum seekers.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an recently threatened the European Union over the issue, demanding money to help rehouse Syrians or he would “open the gates” for potentially millions of migrants to head to Europe.
While most of the new arrivals in Sweden are expected to come from countries like Syria and others in the region, the Migration Board said that it also expected a surge in South American asylum seekers from countries like Colombia, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Peru, and Venezuela.
Last year, the European Asylum Support Office revealed that there had been a surge of new asylum seekers from the South American region, with a 4,000 per cent increase over the last decade.
Spain has been by far the most popular choice for most South American asylum seekers, largely due to the common language, but other nations such as Belgium have also begun to recognise more and more asylum seekers from Latin America.
Sweden has also seen a rise in family reunification or chain migration over the last year, with Iraqis and Syrians making up the largest numbers.”

“The governor of Nigeria’s Borno state has urged the military to better defend a town where suspected Islamic extremists killed more than 30 people who had been left to sleep in their cars over the weekend after being locked outside the city gate.
Gov. Babagana Zulum visited the scene Monday where some of the cars were still smoking with corpses inside them. The violence Sunday night marked the sixth time since June that the town of Auno had come under attack by suspected Boko Haram militants.
While the governor put the death toll at 30, the military said only 10 people had died and that the motorists had defied a military warning that the highway would be closed at 5 p.m.
The governor accused the military of failing to protect the stranded travelers and pleaded again for soldiers to re-establish a base there.
“The fact is that we have made several attempts for the Nigeria military to establish their unit in Auno but nothing was done,” he said. “As soon as it is 5 o’clock and they closed up their gate, they abandon the people and move over to Maiduguri,” the capital of the northeastern state.
Witnesses said the locked-out travelers came under attack around 10 p.m. and the assault lasted 45 minutes.
“We heard the shouting of people amidst shootings and we were all scared by it,” Auno resident Yunusa Abdullahi said. “It was late, we didn’t know where to run.”
Gen. Olusegun Adeniyi expressed “profound sadness” over the attack but emphasized that the military needs the highway closed at night so that it can conduct its counterinsurgency campaign against Boko Haram.
“The public must understand, the soldiers expected to go on night patrols in the bushes cannot again be drawn to the road to protect vehicles of people that refused to obey the law,” he said.
“It is not safe to be lining up such a large number of vehicles in this village especially knowing the wicked intentions of Boko Haram,” he added.”

“The Libyan coast guard apprehended 81 migrants off the coast of Libya and returned them to the capital of the war-ravaged country, the U.N. migration agency said Tuesday.
The International Organization for Migration said that the coast guard plucked the migrants, among them 18 women and four children, from the Mediterranean late Monday. Back in Tripoli, the agency offered the migrants emergency medical assistance. It was not clear where the migrants were from.
The U.N. refugee agency reported last week that the total number of migrants intercepted by the Libyan coast guard in the past month rose 121% from the same period last year.
Libya, which sits on Africa’s Mediterranean coast, has become a major conduit for migrants seeking refuge in Europe from war and poverty in Africa and the Middle East. The European Union, looking to keep the migration crisis off its shores, trains and funds Libya’s coast guard to catch the jam-packed boats and return them to the country, where migrants often land in detention centers run by the interior ministry of Libya’s U.N.-backed government.
The facilities, rife with abuses, face criticism from human rights groups over their dangerous conditions, especially as fighting between eastern-based forces and the Tripoli government creeps close to the centers.
Late Monday, 15 migrants were released from Abu Salim detention center in Tripoli following “indiscriminate shelling” in the vicinity, the IOM said.
Hundreds of migrants had moved into Abu Salim after fleeing another detention center, housed within a large military complex, which came under attack last July. That airstrike killed at least 50 people and injured over a hundred others, ranking among the deadliest assaults on civilians in the war and turning a spotlight on the many perils migrants face in facilities near the front lines.
In its statement Tuesday, the IOM reiterated that coordinates of detention centers filled with civilians are known to the warring sides.”

“A 30-year-old Islamic convert who was arrested after brandishing a machete over the weekend is said to have quarrelled with a neighbouring family whose 11-year-old daughter he wanted to marry.
Quentin B. was arrested on Saturday evening in the commune of Agde in southern France after he had brandished a machete and threatened to kill a local family and their children.
The family called the police and officers arrived at the address of the Islamic convert who had locked himself in his mother’s home.
When the officers attempted to enter the home, they were showered with insults, and the 30-year-old began reciting a prayer in Arabic. The man’s mother also pleaded with him to put down his weapons and allow the police to enter but to no avail, Metropolitain reports.
Eventually, the man opened the door but continued to threaten officers and, as a result, was hit with a taser stun-gun but the weapon had no effect. Then officers drew their firearms, which led to the man putting down his machete.
According to investigators, the 30-year-old had recently converted to Islam and become radicalised. The dispute with his neighbours came after he expressed that he wanted to marry their 11-year-old daughter according to Islamic law, which the neighbours refused.
The incident comes after another French radicalised Islamic convert was tried last week for attempting a terrorist attack on a French airbase in 2017.
Convert Alain Feuillerat, a former soldier, had worn a uniform featuring the Islamic State flag and carried several weapons, including a pump-action shotgun. He had converted to Islam following the death of a fellow soldier in 2011.
Another radicalised convert, IT worker Michael Harpon, successfully carried out an act of terror last year, killing four people at the police headquarters in Paris and raising fears of radicalisation among the police force.”

Virginia – When students at Franklin County High School in Virginia were told they could not fly the American flag from their trucks because it might be offensive – they did what any red-blooded American teenager would do: they flew the flag anyway.

Five terrorists behind bars in New South Wales and six in Victoria due to be released – but will likely face a battle from police to keep them in jail.
A series of terror-related convictions in recent years mean a record number of extremists could be freed in upcoming months unless authorities intervene.
Police in New South Wales may use continuing detention orders to keep those on the verge of release off the streets, The Australian reported.
The orders, which have never been used, mean extremists could be kept behind bars for three years after their original sentence has finished.

The terror plot is still the largest ever in Australia.

“A top Sudanese official said Tuesday the country’s transitional authorities and rebel groups have agreed to hand over former autocratic president Omar al-Bashir to the International Criminal Court for war crimes, including mass killings in Darfur.
Al-Bashir, who was overthrown by the military last year amid a public uprising, is wanted by the ICC on charges of crimes against humanity and genocide related to the Darfur conflict. Since his ouster in April, he has been in jail in Sudan’s capital, Khartoum, on charges of corruption and killing protesters.
Mohammed Hassan al-Taishi, a member of the Sovereign Council and a government negotiator, said the council agreed with rebel groups in Darfur to hand over those wanted by the International Criminal Court to face justice in The Hague.
Al-Taishi did not say when they would transfer al-Bashir and others wanted by the ICC, and the transitional administration would need to ratify the ICC’s Rome Statute to allow for the transfer the former president to The Hague.

BREITBART – Purge: China Fires Top Health Officials in Wuhan, Sends in Beijing’s ‘Anti-Corruption’ Crew
The Communist Party dismissed the director of Hubei province’s health commission and the Party leader in charge of it on Tuesday, the deadliest day so far since the coronavirus outbreak in that region began.
Hubei, whose capital Wuhan is believed to be where the never-before-seen form of coronavirus originated, has documented the highest number of coronavirus cases and deaths, which surpassed 1,000 worldwide on Tuesday. The two firings in the province follow the dismissal of several low-level figures amid local concerns of a complete purge of government agents in the area as punishment for allowing the outbreak to become as severe as it has.
Adding to tensions was the news of the deployment of officials from Beijing’s National Supervisory Commission to Hubei to inspect the performance of the Party’s officers there. The National Supervisory Commission is an “anti-corruption” watchdog agency that dictator Xi Jinping regularly uses to purge people he considers disloyal to him personally from the party. The creation of the committee was branded as part of sweeping reforms to help Xi prevent pro-democracy opinions from “polluting” the “political ecology” of China.
China hid the extent of the danger presented by the newly discovered virus for nearly the entire first month of the outbreak in Wuhan, taking 20 days to alert the public of a contagious disease since indicating to the World Health Organization (WHO) that an outbreak had begun. As a result, hospitals did not properly isolate patients exhibiting the flu-like symptoms associated with the novel coronavirus, and local officials allowed high-risk, crowded events in observance of the Lunar New Year to take place, exacerbating the spread of the virus.
Xi Jinping has largely hidden from public view since the outbreak began, making a rare appearance on the streets of Beijing on Monday in which he called for a “people’s war” on coronavirus. His tour of a local community in the city he lives in contrasted starkly with his second-in-command, Premier Li Keqiang, visiting Wuhan itself shortly after officials announced that they had identified a new type of coronavirus in January.
In an apparent move to quell popular outrage at the Communist Party, Beijing has begun dismissing local officials.
On Tuesday, Hubei officials fired Zhang Jin, the Party official at the head of Hubei’s public health commission, and Liu Yingzi, the health professional actually running the agency. Rather than hiring replacements, Beijing is tasking Wang Hesheng of the National Health Commission with the responsibilities of both positions, according to Hong Kong’s RTHK.
Joining Wang will be a special task force from Beijing’s National Supervisory Commission sent not to supervise overall coronavirus response but to investigate the situation surrounding the death of Dr. Li Wenliang, who died at the age of 34 last week. Li was one of eight people arrested by Wuhan police in January for allegedly spreading “rumors” about the new coronavirus. Wu had warned on a message board for doctors that he believed the cases of respiratory illness he had treated in the city were contagious and a new type of disease. There is no evidence he shared false information.
Police detained Li and forced him to sign a humiliating statement confessing to “severely disturbing the public order.” Less than a month later, Li reportedly contracted the virus himself and suddenly died.
Li is one of the only known cases of an otherwise healthy young person dying after being identified as a carrier of the virus.
Li’s death has triggered national outrage at the Chinese government, which Chinese state media outlets are trying to channel by retroactively proclaiming Li a “martyr” and “hero.” The National Supervisory Commission will presumably punish those who silenced him.
The South China Morning Post reported that yet another Beijing official close to Xi, Chen Yixin of the Central Political and Legal Affairs Commission, flew into Hubei province and has already begun to berate local officials, demanding they ensure all suspected coronavirus patients get tested.
“Admitting all critically ill patients is the most urgent and important task … It is the bottom line and a strict order. … There is no room for bargaining, it must not be delayed, and there are no excuses,” the Morning Post quoted Chen as saying.
Mounting reports from Wuhan suggest that, far from attempting to diagnose and treat patients as soon as possible, Wuhan medical staff have orders to turn away any patients not “approved” by higher-up hospital officials. By not treating potential coronavirus cases, the Chinese regime can deflate the official number of cases it documents to the World Health Organization. Some reports have collected evidence of large untold numbers of Wuhan residents dying in their homes, then cremated in secret, erased from the official books chronicling the outbreak.
The recently fired Hubei officials join Tang Zhihong, the head of the health commission in the city of Huanggang, a suburb of Wuhan. Tang was fired in late January after allegedly failing to be able to tell state television how many open beds local hospitals had for patients. Tang also appeared not to know if Huanggang had sufficient resources to fight the outbreak, or what resources the city had at all.
Joining Tang in being fired are reportedly dozens of local officials implicated in the virus outbreak. At press time, no senior officials in Beijing have met a similar fate.

Attorney General William Barr vowed Monday to escalate the fight against sanctuary jurisdictions and announced a round of lawsuits that target states and localities that refuse to cooperate with federal immigration authorities.
The top attorney for the Trump administration announced that the Department of Justice (DOJ) would be slapping several states and localities with lawsuits over their sanctuary policies while delivering remarks at the National Sheriffs’ Association in Washington, D.C., on Monday. DOJ later on announced complaints with California; New Jersey; and King County, Wash., over various policies that hinder the work of federal immigration authorities.
The moves were the latest in the Trump administration’s escalating crackdown on sanctuary jurisdictions across the country.

On Tuesday, the Democrat-controlled Virginia House of Delegates will reportedly hold the final reading of a controversial weapons-ban bill and go straight to a floor vote on it, trying to rush the bill through after it was passed by a House committee on Friday, 7 February.
The bill, House Bill 961, will ban “many commonly-owned semi-automatic firearms, suppressors, and standard capacity magazines.” The language of the bill bans magazines that hold more than 10 rounds. As the NRA website indicates, “the committee amended the bill to allow citizens to keep currently owned firearms and suppressors” — but the bill apparently still requires anyone who intends to retain ownership to get a permit for the weapon under the terms of the new law. No one will be able to make a new purchase of what the bill calls an “assault weapon” once the law is in force. The state police will keep records of all ownership permits; the NRA is correct that confiscation is still the end goal.
The Virginia Senate, also Democrat-controlled, is expected in due course to pass a reconciled measure. Democratic Governor Ralph Northam backs the legislation and will sign it into law.
With that outcome looming, almost all of Virginia’s counties (91 of 95), and at least 50 cities and towns, have adopted Second Amendment “sanctuary” status, meaning they do not intend to enforce the new law. Virginia’s attorney general declared in December that these measures have no force of law.

The West Virginia state legislature has proposed a bill to admit some Virginia counties to the Mountain State, as Virginia threatens to limit its citizens’ second amendment rights. The resolution, which passed through the West Virginia Senate on January 13, was drafted and introduced by Judiciary Committee Chairman Charles Trump, IV (R) of Morgan County.
“Providing for an election to be had, pending approval of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Virginia, and a majority of qualified citizens voting upon the proposition prior to August 1, 2020, for the admission of certain counties and independent cities of the Commonwealth of Virginia to be admitted to the State of West Virginia as constituent counties, under the provisions of Article VI, Section 11 of the Constitution of West Virginia,” the bill begins.

Turkey: Syrian govt will pay “very heavy price” amid attack on Turkish troops – Erdogan
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that the Syrian government will pay a “very heavy price” amid the attack against Turkish soldiers in Idlib. The comment was made during a ceremony award that took place in Ankara on Tuesday.
“The [Syrian] regime, especially in Idlib, got what they deserved. But this is not enough, we will continue. Because if they keep attacking our troops, they will pay a very heavy price. I will publicly announce these steps tomorrow,” said Erdogan.
The Turkish president specified that a meeting regarding the issue will take place the next day.
Five Turkish soldiers were reportedly killed and as many injured when the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) launched an offensive on the airport of Taftanaz, in the Idlib province, on Monday.

Turkish forces and the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) continued to battle over the area surrounding Saraqib on Monday.
The town was recently recaptured by government forces after over seven years in militant hands.
On the ground, footage showed Turkish artillery close to the M5 highway targeting government positions in the area. Clouds of smoke can be seen rising in the distance.
One of the SAA officers said Turkish forces “tried to target some of the SAA points, but on the ground, there is nothing [that hasn’t influenced the facts], as the army is continuing its operations.”
The officer added that “the nasty [Recep Tayyip] Erdogan, tries to boost the morale of terrorist groups.”
Later in the day, five Turkish soldiers were reportedly killed and as many injured when the SAA launched an offensive on the airport of Taftanaz.
Today’s announcement follows the death of six Turkish soldiers during an artillery bombardment on February 3, prompting a strong condemnation and retaliatory attacks from Ankara.

India: Scuffles break out during citizenship law protest in New Delhi
Clashes erupted between security forces and demonstrators who were blocked from marching towards the Parliament in New Delhi on Monday, to protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and the National Register for Citizens (NRC).
Footage shows scuffles, as well as police forces attempting to remove protesters who had climbed a fence.
Some protesters were also seen being dragged and arrested.
Protests have swept the country after the Indian Parliament passed the CAA on December 11, entitling religious minority migrants from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and Pakistan to Indian citizenship if they entered the country before the end of December 2014.
The amendment has come under criticism for discriminating against undocumented Muslim migrants. The NRC, in turn, is used in Assam state to identify illegal immigrants with the government’s goal to implement it throughout the country.

According to the broadcaster, the deportations related to cases where applicants had used false information in applying for residence permits, and also included those who received criminal convictions in Finland and those who are not able to financially support themselves.
The previous Finnish government under Juha Sipila also stepped up surveillance of foreign nationals, particularly those who were suspected of entering so-called sham marriages, which allowed foreigners to receive residence permits on the basis of marrying a Finnish citizen.
The spike in 2019 also reflects a significant case in which 333 Uzbek citizens who had received work at construction sites in Finland were issued deportation notices in June after it was revealed that they used falsified documents to apply for residency, the broadcaster reported.
Finnish law enforcement officials have also taken a tougher stance, and are more likely to request deportation if a foreign national commits a crime in the country, the broadcaster stated.
Foreign citizens are often deported from Finland if they are found guilty of an offence for which the maximum sentence is at least one year in jail, the broadcaster reported.
In November, the European Court of Human Rights ruled that Finland was guilty in violating Articles 2 and 3 of the European Convention of Human Rights over the 2017 deportation of an Iraqi asylum seeker who was killed weeks after arriving back in his home country.”

Professor calls for people to stop having babies – letting human race go extinct to fight climate change
A British professor is speaking out this week to demand that people stop having babies and let the human race go extinct to fight climate change.
Patricia MacCormack is a continental philosophy professor at Anglia Ruskin University in the United Kingdom, and she is a researcher of “feminism, queer theory, posthuman theory, horror film, body modification, animal rights/abolitionism, cinesexuality, and ethics.”
In her book “The Ahuman Manifesto,” MacCormack claims that humans don’t see the damage they’ve done to each other and the other species on Earth, according to The Blaze.
“The basic premise of the book is that we’re in the age of the Anthropocene, [and] humanity has caused mass problems, and one of them is creating this hierarchal world where white, male, heterosexual, and able-bodied people are succeeding, and people of different races, genders, sexualities, and those with disabilities are struggling to get that,” she explained. “This is where the idea of dismantling identity politics comes in — they deserve rights not because of what they are, but because they are. The book also argues that we need to dismantle religion and other overriding powers like the church of capitalism or the cult of self, as it makes people act upon enforced rules rather than respond thoughtfully to the situations in front of them.”
Not stopping there, MacCormack went on to say that the human race has been enslaved by capitalism to the point of “zombiedom,” and that permanently stopping reproduction is the only way for humans to fix what they’ve done.
Despite this, MacCormack claimed the ideas behind her book are “joyful” and full of “radical compassion, which cares for the world. It’s not about our death so much as it’s about celebrating the tools that exist to care for a decelerating Earth. People wonder why I don’t think humans are exceptional, dominant beings — but when I ask them why they think that, I never get a good answer back.”
Unfortunately, MacCormack isn’t the only leftist who is promoting this nonsense. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have said they will only be having a “maximum” of two children because of climate change, and actress Miley Cyrus has said that she won’t be having children at all because of the phenomenon.
Liberals have completely lost their minds when it comes to climate change, and this is a prime example of that. It would sadly not be surprising if in just a few years, liberals are shaming anyone who dares have a child at all.

I suppose you could get 5% of California voters to sign up for a companion ballot proposition: If the State bars official business travel to any hotel, then it must ban travel to all hotels.

The company, Crypto AG, got its first break with a contract to build code-making machines for U.S. troops during World War II. Flush with cash, it became a dominant maker of encryption devices for decades, navigating waves of technology from mechanical gears to electronic circuits and, finally, silicon chips and software.
The Swiss firm made millions of dollars selling equipment to more than 120 countries well into the 21st century. Its clients included Iran, military juntas in Latin America, nuclear rivals India and Pakistan, and even the Vatican.
But what none of its customers ever knew was that Crypto AG was secretly owned by the CIA in a highly classified partnership with West German intelligence. These spy agencies rigged the company’s devices so they could easily break the codes that countries used to send encrypted messages.
The decades-long arrangement, among the most closely guarded secrets of the Cold War, is laid bare in a classified, comprehensive CIA history of the operation obtained by The Washington Post and ZDF, a German public broadcaster, in a joint reporting project.
