4. Indonesian Man Revived After Fainting Mid-Flogging Only to be Whipped Again
An Indonesian Muslim man was rushed to the hospital after his public punishment for pre-marital sex had to be broken up into two segments due to his losing consciousness during the religious Islamic law practice.
A 22-year-old man in Aceh, Indonesia, begged a Sharia officer on Thursday to halt the public flogging moments before passing out in front of a 500-person crowd, reported the AFP.
In accordance with Islamic law in the Aceh region, the individual was sentenced to receive 100 strokes from a rattan cane for having pre-marital sex with a woman – who also received 100 lashes in another district.
The Sharia officer finished the sentenced lashings after the young man received momentary medical attention, being ultimately taken to the hospital afterward.

Two men are accused of breaking into a church in the French commune of Tarbes and vandalising the place of worship and soiling books with faeces.
The church attack occurred on Wednesday afternoon and saw the pair, who are still at large, take out prayer books which they proceeded to tear up, set on fire, and soil with human waste, French broadcaster Franceinfo reports.
The pair also emptied an entire fire extinguisher, threw a statue at the church’s benches, and toppled a crucifix which they also tossed to the ground.
Bishop Nicolas Brouwet, the bishop of Tarbes and Lourdes, said that he did not think the attack was necessarily motivated by the desecration of the church in a purely religious meaning, given that none of the holy objects was vandalised or stolen from the church’s altar.

8. Advocacy group urges MSU Denver to punish student accused of verbally attacking Muslims
DENVER — The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is reacting to a viral video shot on the campus of Metropolitan State University of Denver.
The video was shot moments after Muslim students said they were verbally attacked for praying in public. The video was posted on Twitter Monday and had nearly 13,000 retweets as of Thursday night.
The university says it is investigating what is being described as a hate incident.
Cellphone video shows a tense exchange in a computer lab. A woman, identified as a student, flips her middle fingers and uses the F-word multiple times.
“F*** you, f*** you and all your family too,” the woman could be heard saying on video.
On Twitter, the young woman is accused of saying to Muslim students — before being recorded — “F*** your religion … F*** you … I don’t care about your prayers.”
(The muslim was arse-lifting in a computer lab it seems, when there actually is a mosque on campus for them, interpreting what is said on the video)
