And it was last posted on the Internet on November 1 under an account called Zafer Gülgen.Huch then asks the police: “Hello, @polizeiberlin! Will you please explain this pro-fascist photo? The press office of the Berlin police (tsm) replies: “This picture was already published in 2017. There were no indications that the person depicted belonged to the Berlin police. If you have any new information today, we kindly ask you to inform us about it.”

Similar incidents have bothered the Berlin police for many years. Just because the number of employees with a migration background is particularly high in comparison to the police of other European cities, photos of this kind and similar ones repeatedly appear that cause a stir.

US Urges Turkey ‘to Destroy’ S-400s
The statement comes after a senior US State Department official called on Turkish authorities to stop using the S-400s, saying that “there is room for Turkey to come back to the table” to get Ankara back into the US’ F-35 stealth fighter programme.
“They know that to make this work they need to either destroy or return or somehow get rid of the S-400,” the official told reporters at last week’s briefing.
It was preceded by Turkish Defence Minister Hulusi Akar stating that his country is going to activate and make use of the S-400 air defences.

“A VIOLENT gang is targeting passengers on the railway network for phones, watches, ear phones and Oyster cards, police have warned.
CCTV footage released by British Transport Police (BTP) show people they would like to talk to after at least eight incidents at rail and underground stations across London and Essex in the past month. One 21-year-old victim on the London Overground was approached by two men at around 11.30am who demanded he hand over his phone and Oyster card. After taking his belongings, the men punched him in the face before fleeing at White Hart Lane station. Detective Chief Inspector Sarah White from BPT said: “Recently we have seen a concerning amount of robberies across the rail network in London, and we are working tirelessly to catch those responsible.
“We have specialist plain clothes officers operating across the network, and passengers can also expect to see highly visible reassurance patrols across key routes and areas.
“However, I would still like to remind everyone of the need to be aware of their surroundings when travelling, particularly in the evenings, and of being discreet and secure when carrying their property where possible.

In one shocking incident, on a Victoria Line service from Finsbury Park to Highbury and Islington, a group of young men threatened to stab a 25-year-old before taking his phone, headphones, and watch.
A woman, 20, was targeted on the tube at Lancaster Gate when a young man took her phone from her hands.
On 5 November, a 20-year-old man was approached from behind by a group of young men on the Central Line platform at Tottenham Court Road around 8pm.
They stole his Airpods and tried to steal his jacket and bag at around 8pm.
The day after, three young men stole a phone from a 22-year-old man on a train at Southbury at around 12.40pm, then left at White Hart Lane.
Also on November 6 at around 8pm, a 20-year-old man was changing lines in Euston Underground station when a group on men took his Airpods, pinned him against the wall and searched his pockets before punching him.
On November 7, a group of young men attempted to rob two 16-year-old boys at knifepoint.
On November 9, a 16-year-old boy was robbed of a mobile phone and money at knifepoint at Seven Sisters Underground station around 4pm.
Detective Chief Inspector White said: “Thankfully we police a CCTV rich environment which has enabled us to quickly identify a number of suspects and bring them into custody, and I’d now like to appeal for your help in identifying the men in these photos.
“Crucially, the travelling public are our eyes and ears and I would also ask that anyone who notices anything suspicious or that doesn’t feel right to trust their instincts and text us discreetly on 61016, or to call 999 in an emergency.

The warning of a violent gang preying on London commuters has come amidst news the capital has suffered three fatal stabbings in under 24 hours following the death of a man on Sunday afternoon.
A 24-year-old man died in hospital after being discovered by paramedics suffering from multiple stab wounds on Sunday morning in Ilford Lane. The Metropolitan Police reported: “A 24-year-old man found with stab injuries has died following an incident in Ilford.
“His next of kin are being supported by specialist officers.”
Earlier, a murder investigation was launched after another man was found with fatal stab wounds outside West Ealing station.
The man was discovered shortly after 1am on Sunday.
In order to tackle the problem of knife crime crippling the nation, Boris Johnson has vowed to “come down hard” on the “scourge” on the epidemic.
A new court order will allow police to target know offenders, while violence reduction units would receive a £35million boost next year to help preventative work.

London’s knife crime epidemic continued as a 26-year-old man was found stabbed to death in west London on Sunday morning. The mayor’s inability to stem the tide of death on the capital’s streets drew fury from critics. One Londoner tweeted: “It’s much worse since you’ve been a Mayor, not a single safe street in London.” Another said: “Resign. A murder investigation was launched after one victim was found with fatal stab wounds following a car crash outside West Ealing rail station.
Police were called at around 1am on Sunday and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said: “Despite the efforts of medics, the male was pronounced dead at the scene.
“There have been no arrests. Inquiries continue.”
Detectives believe the man was not killed in a “road rage” attack but had already been injured before the collision.
Elsewhere in Ilford, east London, two men were stabbed during a fight, with one 24-year-old man taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The tragedy comes after a quadruple stabbing in Whitechapel on Saturday, which saw one man in his 20s killed.
Police believe the 27-year-old was attacked during a fight at a house party near Aldgate East underground station.
Officers were called shortly before 9am on Saturday and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Six men aged between 23 and 29 have been arrested in connection with the east London incident.
There have been 130 recorded killings this year – compared with 132 in 2018, the bloodiest year in a decade.”

Amnesty says Mahmudi and Hamidi discovered more than 100 videos of alleged abuse that took place in eastern Afghanistan’s Logar province. Amnesty says some of the alleged victims were killed.

Montreal protesters decry burning of Qur’an in Norway
Captured on video, the burning of a Qur’an in Norway last week drew condemnation across Pakistan.
A few dozen protesters, many of Pakistani origin, rallied at Parc métro station on Sunday to protest against the burning of a Qur’an in Norway last week.
Ilyas Butt, a spokesperson for the event, said the act, committed during an anti-Islam rally in the city of Kristiansand, showed there must be limits on freedom of speech to combat hate toward Islam.
“It hurts Muslim people around the world,” he said of the burning, which was captured on video.
It shows a Muslim youth jumping over a fence and kicking the person burning the Qur’an, the Associated Press reported on Saturday. The incident drew widespread condemnation across Pakistan, with many people praising the youth as a hero for defending the Qur’an.
“Islam is a peaceful religion,” said Butt, who called for stricter guidelines in western countries to prevent such incidents.
On Saturday, Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry said it had summoned Norway’s ambassador to convey Pakistan’s deep concern over the burning, according to the AP report.
“Such actions hurt the sentiments of 1.3 billion Muslims around the world,” it said in a statement.

Germany supports integration drive
The German government is planning to support mosques and other islamic religious institutions to promote integration.
Berlin (dpa) – The German government plans to spend some 7 million euros (7.7 million dollars) in supporting around 50 mosques and institutions of the Alevi community over the coming three years, Interior Minister Horst Seehofer said Friday.
The 50 mosques and cemevi – as the Alevi places of assembly are called – are to be chosen not by the major Islamic associations in Germany but by four German institutions.
These are the German Child and Youth Foundation (DKJS), the Goethe Institute, the Otto Benecke Foundation, a politically neutral charity set up by German students, and the Paritaetische Wohlfahrtsverband, a charity that supports the ill and weak in society.
The project, announced in Berlin on Thursday, is to be organized by the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF), guided by a council of experts from Muslim organizations.
It is to support measures aimed at enhancing contacts between communities in the neighbourhood.
Alevism is a syncretic, heterodox Islamic tradition. Alevis are found primarily in Turkey among ethnic Turks and Kurds, and make up somewhere between 10 and 20 per cent of its population.

German Government Supports Mosques
The German government announced the launch of the “Mosque Integration Drive” project, which will provide 7 million euros to support 50 mosques in various states of Germany to support community solidarity and integrate Muslims more strongly in German circles.
DEUTSCHE PRAVDA – Germany set to take charge of imam education locally
In a bid to reduce foreign influence on Islamic religious leaders, Germany is launching a new pilot project that educates imams locally. Experts say it is a positive step, but a more comprehensive approach is needed.
The government has long struggled with foreign involvement when it comes to the education of imams who lead Muslim communities across Germany. Now, a new educational association, with start-up funding from Germany’s interior ministry, is set to launch at the University of Osnabrück on Thursday.
Even though some Muslim organizations have been training imams for their own communities in Germany, the majority of imams working in the country are affiliated with the Turkish-Islamic Union for Religious Affairs (DITIB).
Among Germany’s nearly 4.5 million Muslims, around 3 million are of Turkish origin.
It was precisely this influence that moved the German government to take such a bold step, Green party parliamentarian Filiz Polat told DW. It was a measure her party “had long been asking for,” she added.
DITIB is Germany’s largest Islamic umbrella group, with 900 affiliated mosques. Its imams are educated, financed and sent from Turkey. So the language and cultural barrier together with many of these imams’ loyalty to the Turkish government, has pushed the German government to deal intensively with the issue in recent years.
One of the major obstacles to approaching the issue was that of securing funding. That now has a temporary solution, with the government’s planned investment.
Polat told DW that in response to her official inquiry on the subject, the interior ministry had already confirmed its plans for the start-up financing.
A neutral approach
One of the organizations that will take part in the new association will be the Central Council of Muslims in Germany (ZMD), confirmed its chairman, Aiman Mazyek.
“We can’t just always complain that there are foreign imams,” he told DW. But the establishment of the association is a concrete step and ” a positive development, but it should have been introduced decades ago.”
Constitutionally, the German state is required to stay out of religious community affairs. However, according to parliamentarian Polat, the neutrality of the state is safeguarded through the founding of an independent association, which will be located in the state of Lower Saxony.
“The rabbinical seminar in Potsdam has received state start-up funding and this strategy has paid off,” she said, referring to the state-supported Abraham Geiger Kolleg. “Such a way would also be constitutionally unobjectionable,” she told DW.
‘A foot in the door’
Currently, Islamic theology is taught at academic institutions in the cities of Münster, Tübingen, Osnabrück, Giessen and Erlangen-Nuremberg. In October this year, Humboldt University of Berlin also opened an Islamic theology institute.
However, students of theology cannot simply work as imams in Germany, since reading of the Koran, how to perform a prayer and other practical tasks are not taught at these institutes. To do so, a separate and practical education is needed.
In a response to DW’s inquiry, the Lower Saxony Ministry for Science and Culture said the plan includes the “establishment of a registered association in cooperation with Muslim organizations and mosque communities that are interested.” Islamic theology expertswill a part of this new association, the statement underlined. The ministry also suggested that the method could “function as a model” for the education of imams elsewhere.
DW spoke to Professor Rauf Ceylan of Osnabrück University, who had previously drafted a “road map” on how education for imams in Germany should be built. He sees the new initiative as “putting a foot in the door.”
However, he cautioned that the pilot project should not begin with “high expectations.” But “we just need to start, and I think when the quality shows itself, in the long run it will gain acceptance.”

After every mass shooting, policymakers, law enforcement officials and both sides of America’s gun debate zero in on a few key questions: What kind of gun did the killer use, how did he get it and could any laws have prevented the tragedy?
But a disturbing new question was raised last week when authorities in Southern California revealed the pistol that a 16-year-old used to shoot five high school classmates and himself was an unregistered weapon made from a kit: Are California’s toughest-in-the-nation gun laws so easily circumvented that a kid might mail-order parts online and build one himself?
Home-made “ghost guns” without identifying serial numbers have been used in a number of recent shootings, authorities said. They also have inspired several new laws. The Los Angeles County Sheriff said the .45-caliber 1911-style pistol used at Saugus High School was built from an “80-percent” kit and had no serial number.

Towards the end of the article you discover that the California solution to this problem is several more laws, laws that are unenforceable, just as all of the gun laws are. The only people who will obey the laws are the people who aren’t gong to use firearms to commit a crime. All of the previous gun laws failed to stop any crimes so lets put more laws out there, laws we know the criminal will ignore.
