Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

    • A missile slams into the room: Details on terrorist elimination
      Islamic Jihad senior leader Baha Abu al-Ata, eliminated early Tuesday morning, was followed by the Israel Security Agency (Shabak) for a significant amount of time before his elimination.

      Shabak Head Nadav Argaman was in the command and control center in charge of the elimination, and closely followed the operation, together with senior IDF officials and other leaders of Israel’s defense system.

      Abu al-Ata tended to surround himself with uninvolved civilians, until 4:00 a.m., when an opportunity to eliminate him was identified.

      An IAF missile attacked from the air the room the terrorist known as “the Commander of the Northern Brigade in Gaza” was in.

      The IDF and Shabak do not intend to go back to targeted eliminations, and this was a standalone event approved by the Diplomatic-Security Cabinet.

      IDF Spokesperson Hedi Zilberman commented on Tuesday morning on the elimination of Islamic Jihad senior leader Baha Abu Al Ata in Gaza.

      “As far as we are concerned, Abu Al Ata was a ticking bomb who planned to advance these days, meaning the coming days, concrete rocket fire at the envelope, sniper and infiltration attacks, and drove attacks,” said Zilberman.

      “We saw it on the ground, we had an opportunity and took advantage of it. We waited for it for about a week – a surgical assault that resulted in his death with minimal casualties.”

      He stressed that “we are not going back to targeted killings, this is a specific incident. The IDF is not interested in escalation, but we are prepared to continue to work against anyone who tries to compromise Israel’s security.”

  1. Rocket barrage on central and southern Israel
    A barrage of rockets was fired toward southern Israel on Tuesday morning following the elimination of senior Islamic Jihad leader Baha Abu Al Ata.

    At about 6:00 a.m., sirens were heard in the city of Ashdod, Gedera and moshavim in the Lachish region. Subsequent sirens were also activated in the city of Ashkelon, in Kibbutz Zikim and in Sderot.

    An hour later, sirens were heard in the Gush Dan district in central Israel, including Tel Aviv, Holon, and Rishon Lezion.

    “The statement comes a week after Turkish Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu said that Ankara will send the Daesh* prisoners it has captured back to their home countries.

    Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has stated that Ankara would go ahead with deportation of Daesh terrorists regardless of whether home countries will accept them.

    “Who stayed on the border there, which country did receive their [Daesh] militants and which one did fail to do so – we don’t care. We will continue to deport them”, Erdogan told reporters in Ankara on Tuesday.

    The statement comes after Turkish Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu pledged earlier this month that Ankara would send Daesh militants it has seized back to their home countries.

    He also said that Ankara won’t tolerate Europe’s inaction on the issue of Daesh prisoners when Turkey is left alone to deal with them.

    Turkey captured some escaped Daesh prisoners in northeastern Syria during its Operation Peace Spring which started on 9 October and was suspended after a ceasefire was clinched on 17 Ocdtober. Ankara said the operation was essential to oust Kurdish militants and Daesh fighters from the border area and establish a security zone for Syrian refugees there.

    Erdogan, for his part, said that Turkey has thus far deported a total of 7,500 Daesh terrorists, with 1,149 militants still in Turkish prisons.

    More Than 100 Daesh Prisoners Now at Large, US Envoy Claims
    Late last month, James Jeffrey, the US special representative for Syria engagement and global head of the coalition to defeat Daesh, stated that about 100 Daesh prisoners have escaped detention since the beginning of Turkey’s military operation in Syria’s northeast earlier this month.

    “We would say that the number is now over 100. We do not know where they are”, Jeffrey told Congress on Wednesday.

    He described Daesh detainees as those who are “among the most dangerous fighters, intent on attacking the United States and its allies,” and questioned whether the US is able “to monitor or effectively operate against ISIS, given the withdrawal of US forces [from Syria]”.

      Hong Kong police officer shoots protester at point-blank range while activists set another man on FIRE after dousing him with petrol as fresh violence erupts after city’s 24th weekend of protests

      A Hong Kong police officer shot a masked protester at point-blank range while activists set another man on fire after dousing him in petrol as a fresh round of violence erupted across the city today.

      The masked man was critically wounded by a gunshot in Sai Wan Ho as wild scuffles broke out this morning after the city’s 24th straight weekend of protests.

      In footage broadcast live on Facebook, a Hong Kong policeman drew his weapon as he wrestled with a man at a blockaded road junction, with a second protester advancing towards them in a bid to help his comrade.

      That second protester appeared to take a swipe at the officer’s pistol and just moments later the policeman opened fire at him, hitting him in the torso.

      Today the critically wounded man was having an operation in hospital, sparking further anger at alleged police brutality in Hong Kong.

      On top of that, another man was badly wounded after he was doused in petrol and set on fire after remonstrating with protesters in separate clashes at Ma On Shan Plaza.

      Horrifying footage of the attack showed the man being splashed with fuel and engulfed in flames after arguing with protesters on a footbridge and telling them ‘you are not Chinese’.

      The man managed to rip off his flaming shirt but was also critically injured in hospital after suffering severe burns.

      The violence prompted further anger today but Hong Kong’s embattled leader Carrie Lam said the violence had gone far beyond calls for democracy and said the protesters were now the people’s enemy.

      The chaos follows a flare-up in violence after Hong Kong last week saw its first fatality linked to the protests that began in June against a bill that would’ve allowed extraditions to mainland China. While the proposal has since been withdrawn, demonstrators have widened their demands to include an independent inquiry into police violence and the ability to nominate and elect their own leaders — both of which Beijing has rejected.

      An intense day of clashes on Monday led to about 260 arrests and left nearly 100 people injured, including two critically. One man was shot by a police officer on Monday during the morning commute, while another was set on fire by protesters. Chief Executive Carrie Lam said last night the protesters wouldn’t achieve their goals through violence.

    The election on Sunday had the result that all analysts had predicted. Hanover voted the Social Democratic Party (SPD) out of office after 73 years at the top and opted instead for a Green Muslim. Belit Onay, the son of a Turkish guest worker, was born in Goslar and becomes mayor of the German city. Critics predict “London-like situations”. In fact, Onay seems to have the best contacts to the Erdogan-controlled ATIB. In November 2016 it became known that Belit Onay, the former spokesman for citizen participation, local politics, sports politics, network politics, data protection of BÜNDNIS 90/DIE GRÜNEN in Lower Saxony, had invited the Erdogan-controlled Islamic umbrella organisation ATIB to Lower Saxony’s parliament. The ATIB is regarded by the German Office for the Protection of the Constitution as an association close to the ideology of the extreme right-wing racist “Grey Wolves” movement.52.9 percent of voters voted for Belit Onay and the Greens last Sunday. In 2017 Onay appeared with the slogan “Naturalize Islam”. According to the homepage, 102,300 of the 535,603 inhabitants of Hanover are foreigners. Official figures about people with a migration background are hard to find. Turkey seems to have long been interested in taking control of Hanover. Prior to Belit Onay, Mustafa Erkan was the shooting star in the Hanoverian political scene. He made it as a ” role model migrant ” to the vice-mayor of Neustadt.In 2017, the Social Democratic Party (SPD) Erkan no longer put Erkan on the state list for the state elections – and immediately the man’s true background became apparent. At the end of his SPD career, he seamlessly moved “with the will of Allah” to the Turkish Foreign Ministry, where he worked as an advisor to Mevlüt Cavusoglu, who tends to be fascist and extremely critical of Israel.

    “AP&O passenger ferry was forced to make a UTurn as it was on its way to England after spotting a migrant in a wetsuit trying to swim to the UK.

    The asylum seeker, a man aged in his 30s, suffered severe hypothermia attempting to cross one of the world’s busiest shipping lanes.

    Crew on the Dover-bound P&O Pride of Canterbury vessel spotted the “distressed” swimmer at 10.40am on Monday 11 miles north of Calais. They launched a fast rescue boat to save him before he was airlifted to hospital by the French Navy.

    His attempt to reach Britain comes after two migrants are known to have died this year trying to cross the Channel, including an Iraqi man who drowned after swimming using plastic bottles as a life jacket and wearing diver fins.

    A woman also drowned after falling overboard from a small boat travelling to the UK.

    A further two boats carrying a total of 31 migrants, including three children, came into Kent in the early hours of Monday. Their inflatable boats had been taking on water when they were rescued by Border Force officers as temperatures plummeted to just 4C.

    LA PAZ (Reuters) – Bolivia’s former leader Evo Morales was heading to Mexico to seek asylum on Tuesday as security forces sought to quell violence over the long-serving leftist’s resignation and lawmakers jostled to establish an interim replacement.

    Morales, who quit after weeks of protests over a disputed October election, flew in a Mexican Air Force airplane from the town of Chimore, a stronghold where Bolivia’s first indigenous president had retreated to as his 14-year rule imploded.

    The plane stopped in Paraguay to refuel, before flying on to Mexico where it was due to arrive around 11 a.m. local time (1700 GMT).

    SANTIAGO (Reuters) – State workers in Chile promised to launch a massive, nationwide walk-off early on Tuesday, a sign protesters were not yet satisfied following the government’s decision to rewrite the country’s heavily critiqued dictatorship-era constitution.

    The new round of rallies and strikes over inequality and social injustices follow almost a month of unrest in Chile.

    The demonstrations have sometimes devolved into arson, riots and looting, leaving at least 20 dead and wreaking billions of dollars of damage to public infrastructure and private businesses. Santiago’s public transport system has been hobbled.

    Truck drivers and protesters set up barricades on Tuesday on at least two major highways connecting the capital Santiago with outlying cities and ports, prompting huge back-ups on key regional arteries.

    The road blockages prompted the Valparaiso-based upper and lower chambers of congress to suspend activities for the day.

    Lawmakers said the move was “unprecedented” with one, Marcelo Diaz, a socialist, telling local TV: “Today more than ever congress needs to be making an effort to work at an accelerated pace because the people are demanding that we find concrete solutions.”

    “The leader of the United Nations elite World Food Program (WFP) is vowing to go after sexual abusers within his organization after an internal survey detailed multiple allegations of rape and sexual harassment of its female staffers.

    It is the second time in a little over 12 months the agency has been pinpointed as a home for sexual abusers as it takes food and care to the most troubled – and vulnerable – people on the planet.

    David Beasley, the U.N. agency’s executive director, said in an interview with The Associated Press he is “making hard choices to bring change” to the WFP.

    “If we have a claim of rape by anyone in the WFP, if we can substantiate, I can’t begin to tell you how aggressive” actions will be, he told the AP in a phone interview from the agency’s Rome headquarters.

    The warning comes after an internal survey which Beasley commissioned found that at least 28 employees said they experienced rape or sexual assaults while working at the agency. More than 640 others said they were victims of or witnessed sexual harassment, or 8% of the total sample of 8,137. The survey was first reported last month by The Italian Insider.

    The findings are lower than the U.N. Safe Space Survey, which was conducted across the world body’s agencies and was published in January. Of its more than 30,000 respondents, 38.7 percent said they experienced sexual harassment while working in the U.N.

    The U.N. has been engulfed in claims of systemic sexual assault and abuse within various arms of its globalist operations in the past two years.

    As Breitbart News noted, last year a report alleged “the United Nations has allowed sexual harassment and assault to flourish in its offices around the world, with accusers ignored and perpetrators free to act with impunity.”

    The report added “dozens of current and former U.N. employees” working in over ten countries described a “culture of silence” concerning sexual harassment and a reporting system that stacks the deck against those who report abuse.

    Fifteen of those interviewees said they personally had experienced or reported harassment or assault within the past five years. All of them spoke anonymously, either because they feared retaliation or because U.N. rules barred them from speaking with the press.

    A consultant who said she was harassed while working for the WFP said reporting harassment is a career-killer, especially for consultants. Three of them said they were either forced out of jobs or threatened with termination after reporting harassment.

    The main complaint of workers and contractors is that U.N. officials constantly declare massive bureaucratic solutions to sexual abuse issues and proclaim great progress has been made, but it just keeps happening.”

    It is obvious that Democrats — whose fondest dream is to saturate the country with warm bodies who will vote them into permanent control of all three branches of government — wish it were otherwise, but’s not. The law is very clear. The U.S. Code §?1324 specifies:

    Any person who encourages or induces an alien to come to, enter, or reside in the United States, knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that such coming to, entry, or residence is or will be in violation of law shall be punished as provided in subparagraph (B).

    Depending on the reason the crime was committed, the guilty party will be fined or imprisoned, in some cases for life, or both.

    That’s the law. So why is the U.S. Supreme Court planning to render a verdict on whether it is a crime to encourage unauthorized immigration? Yet that, according to the New York Times, is on the court’s docket.

    The verdict was handed down early Tuesday after a tense, marathon trial marked by demonstrations outside the courtroom. The 22 were also fined 30,000 dinars ($250) each, accused of threatening national unity by waving the Amazigh flag, emblem of the Berber identity.

    Defense lawyer Seddik Mouhous announced plans to appeal, claiming the ruling goes against the constitution.

    Some 20 other protesters are awaiting a similar trial next week.

    Several political figures who have emerged as leaders of Algeria’s protest movement have also been arrested since the weekly demonstrations started in February. They helped push out longtime President Abdelaziz Bouteflika in April.”

    “Danish police have begun carrying out border checks at Denmark’s crossings with Sweden after a series of shootings and explosions around Copenhagen that Danish authorities say were carried out by people from Sweden.

    Police spokesman Jens Jespersen told The Associated Press on Tuesday that at checks on the Oresund Bridge between Copenhagen and the Swedish city of Malmo, officers have “a particular focus on cross-border crime involving explosives, weapons and drugs.” He also says authorities are stopping cars to have “a peak at who is inside.”

    The controls are also being carried out at ferry ports.

    They follow 13 explosions in Copenhagen since February. A June shooting in the city killed two Swedish citizens. Also, a shooting Saturday in Malmo killed a 15-year-old boy and critically wounded another teenager.”

    “A Turkish official says authorities are working to understand how a former British officer who helped found the White Helmets volunteer aid group in Syria died.

    James Le Mesurier was found dead near his home in Istanbul on Monday. Turkish police believe he fell to his death and are investigating the circumstances.

    Istanbul governor Ali Yerlikaya told reporters Tuesday: “Our chief prosecutor’s office, our police are engaged in multifaceted efforts to shed light on the incident.”

    Le Mesurier was the founder and CEO of May Day Rescue, which established and trained the White Helmets, also known as the Syria Civil Defense, a group of local humanitarian volunteers.

    Turkey’s state-run Anadolu Agency reported he was 48 and had moved to Turkey with his wife four years ago.”

    Frankfurt prosecutors said some 170 police officers searched three apartments in the nearby city of Offenbach and detained the men, who were already known to authorities.

    “The intervention occurred in time to prevent a concrete threat,” chief prosecutor Nadja Niesen told reporters in Frankfurt. She said that the suspects appeared to have planned an attack in the Rhine-Main region with the intention of killing “as many people, so-called unbelievers, as possible,” but it wasn’t yet known whether they had chosen a specific target.

    Niesen said the main suspect, a 24-year-old German citizen with Macedonian roots, had already acquired materials needed to make explosives and searched for firearms online. Police seized various substances and electronic devices at the man’s apartment.

    The other two suspects are Turkish citizens aged 21 and 22.

    All three suspects are alleged to have spoken of their support for the Islamic State group in the presence of witnesses, who informed authorities, Niesen said.”

    “Ye broke faith with us” was spray-painted on it. The Cenotaph at Toronto’s Old City Hall has been vandalized, a day after Remembrance Day. In the early morning on Tuesday, photos emerged showing the Cenotaph defaced with spray-paint.

    The message in the spray-paint was “Ye Broke Faith,” a reference to In Flanders Fields:

    The whistleblower behind the Democrats’ impeachment inquiry may have violated government regulations by using his office and his access to classified information to enrich himself on GoFundMe, a new complaint alleges. Anthony Gallo, managing partner at the law firm Tully Rinckey PLLC, sent a letter to the Intelligence Community Inspector General (ICIG) passing on the allegations from a source with a top-secret SCI security clearance who has served in government.

    The GoFundMe fundraiser, entitled “Help the Intel Community Whistleblowers,” has raised $227,537 as of Tuesday morning. According to the complaint, first reported by Fox News, the donations from roughly 6,000 individuals “clearly constitute” gifts to a current intelligence official. This may violate 5 CFR 2635.203 and other government statutes.

    “I have not seen anything on this scale,” Gallo told Fox News, referring to the $227,537 raised on GoFundMe. “It’s not about politics for my client — it’s whistleblower-on-whistleblower, and [my client’s] only interest is to see the government ethics rules are being complied with government-wide.”

    San Francisco’s pee problem could soon get worse.

    Chesa Boudin, the urine-and-feces-plagued city’s incoming district attorney, pledged during the campaign not to prosecute public urination and other quality-of-life crimes if he was elected. Boudin declared victory Saturday night after results showed him winning a plurality of votes in the DA race.

    “We will not prosecute cases involving quality-of-life crimes. Crimes such as public camping, offering or soliciting sex, public urination, blocking a sidewalk, etc., should not and will not be prosecuted,” Boudin vowed in response to an American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) questionnaire during the campaign.

    “Many of these crimes are still being prosecuted, we have a long way to go to decriminalize poverty and homelessness,” he lamented.

    All told, 53,000 people who have been approved for DACA — 7 percent of the total — had a criminal record when the government granted them status. Nearly 8,000 racked up criminal charges after they’d been approved, according to the data from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.

    TORONTO (680 NEWS) – Police in Toronto are investigating after a monument to Canadian soldiers was vandalized on Monday night.

    Officers were notified of the incident at around 7 a.m. on Tuesday, less than 24 hours after hundreds had gathered at the cenotaph in downtown Toronto, near City Hall, for a Remembrance Day ceremony.

    Blue writing was spray-painted on the front of the monument at some point overnight, which said “Ye broke faith” and on the back, “with us.”

    The words appear to be from the poem “In Flanders Fields”.
