Daily Links Post graphic

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

    • “They left and abandoned their babies in our arms, they didn’t care at all……we don’t care about our babies, we can make more…”

      Fake Fatherhood. It writes itself.

“Then Jesus told them this parable: “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’ I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.”

It is better to have a millstone around your neck and thrown into the sea than to harm a child.

      • “…over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.”

They did not need to repent.

Because, only those who march with Pride do: muslims, Socialists and LGBTQ+. Attached to Demons, Welfare or Stones.

Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.
Forgive, and your god forgives you.

  2. UK Intelligence Services on Alert Following Al-Baghdadi’s Death, ‘Fear’ Revenge Attacks – Report (sputniknews, Oct 29, 2019)
    https://sputniknews.com/europe/201910291077172902-uk-intelligence-services-on-alert-following-al-baghdadis-death-fear-revenge-attacks—report/

“The Daesh terrorist group has been severely weakened over the last two years, having lost most of the territory it previously occupied. However, many have expressed concern that the death of its leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi over the weekend may potentially inspire new individuals or groups to carry out attacks.

British intelligence services have increased their monitoring of around 3,000 people in the UK and abroad who are believed to be linked to Daesh* or who could be inspired by the terrorist organisation to launch attacks in the country following the death of the group’s leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, The Guardian reported.

While the overall threat level in the country remains “severe” – meaning that a terrorist attack is considered likely – MI5 has not raised the threat level to “critical” yet, which was invoked following the 2017 bombing attacks at the Manchester Arena and Parsons Green tube station.

Daesh remains the primary security concern in the UK even after al-Baghdadi’s death, as intelligence sources believe that many terrorist plots in the country stem from the organisation’s Middle Eastern supporters, which could potentially result in acts of revenge. However, they also point out that lone wolves, although not connected to terrorist organisations directly but who are often inspired by their actions, remain potentially dangerous, according to MI5, as they cannot be properly tracked and monitored.

“The most immediate concern will be that major terrorism events often prompt actions by copycats or in revenge”, terrorism expert and director at the Royal United Services Institute think-tank Rafaello Pantucci told The Guardian.

An unnamed regional intelligence official also told Newsweek following al-Baghdadi’s death that the organisation is still able to inspire terrorist acts globally.

“They will hit Syria, the chaos of Iraq, Europe and definitely the United States”, said the official, who preferred to remain unnamed.

On 27 October, President Donald Trump confirmed the death of Daesh leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi following a US military operation in Syria over the weekend. While the group is already believed to have named Abdullah Qardash – also known as Hajji Abdullah al-Afari – as their new leader, the terrorist organisation is thought to have been severely weakened by the loss of its previously held territories following advances by Syrian government forces and the military operation by the US-led international coalition.

  3. ‘Lure for Migrants’: Outrage as Government Webpage Markets Sweden Abroad as ‘Country of Benefits’ (sputniknews, Oct 29. 2019)
    https://sputniknews.com/europe/201910291077172686-lure-for-migrants-outrage-as-government-webpage-markets-sweden-abroad-as-country-of-benefits/

“According to recent statistics, 94 percent of immigrants who’ve arrived in Sweden since the migrant crisis of 2015, rely on state benefits.

The government-run website Sweden.se has landed in hot water for marketing Sweden abroad as a place where immigrants can receive very generous contributions and other bonuses, including health care.

On the website, the reader is informed that Sweden has the world’s longest parental leave and even provides illegal immigrants with dental care. The website also provides a detailed list of benefits and allowances. For instance, a family with six children receives a monthly SEK 4,240 ($430) and SEK 7,500 ($760) in multi-child allowances.

The site is operated by the Swedish Institute (SI), a government body tasked with promoting the country’s image abroad and promoting its interests.

“I have no problem with signing up to the fact that we try to inform that Sweden is a welfare state. We have a system that sparks interest”, Per-Arne Wikström, the head of communications at the Swedish Institute, told TV4. He also admitted that the purpose of the webpage is to inform of Sweden’s priorities and potentially arouse interest in emigrating to the country.

The ploy to portray Sweden as a country of benefits irked politicians and ordinary Swedes alike. According to the newspaper Aftonbladet, 94 percent of the asylum seekers that arrived in Sweden since 2015 rely on state benefits.

Moderate Party leader Ulf Kristersson called the site completely unreasonable. According to him, it sends a “completely wrong signal” about Sweden.

“Incredible. The government’s own authority markets Sweden abroad as a generous grant country. Everything in order to attract more people to Sweden. What Sweden needs is quotas in the welfare system and a strict migration policy. For a long time to come”, his party colleague Elisabeth Svantesson tweeted.

?“Sweden should promote its equality, enterprise, research, respect for human rights. Not that everything is for free and everyone gets a grant! Do it right!” Liberal MP Robert Hannah tweeted.

?“The Swedish Institute, a government authority, thus offers Swedish taxpayers’ money as a lure for immigration. Despite the fact that pediatric psychiatry, dental care and cancer surgeries do not work in Sweden. It is so inappropriate it doesn’t cease to amaze. They should be dismissed. Immediately”, Edward Nordén of the Citizens’ Coalition party tweeted.

?“What kind of sick people does it take to market Sweden as a country of benefits – and thus attract even more luxury migrants?! These fools seem to know no limits. It should be a criminal offence”, blogger Micke69 tweeted.

?“The Swedish Institute receives government grants of SEK 500 million [about $51 million] per year. And the very same institute wants to attract migrants to Sweden’s welfare system. Therefore, we pay tax to SI to pay even more tax. My tip: abolish SI”, blogger Projekt Morpheus wrote.

In response to the criticism, the Swedish government said that a meeting with the authority will be arranged. People should not be attracted here by welfare alone, Foreign Trade Minister Anna Hallberg said.

The Swedish Institute earlier landed in hot water after blocking 14,000 users from Sweden’s official Twitter account and sparking concerns of censorship.”

  4. Muslim Migrant Jailed for Reportedly Threatening to Behead Danish Queen, Swedish King (sputniknews, Oct 29, 2019)
    https://sputniknews.com/europe/201910291077171055-muslim-migrant-jailed-for-reportedly-threatening-to-behead-danish-queen-swedish-king/

“The man’s wife feared he was suffering from psychosis because he had allegedly smoked hash procured in Copenhagen’s anarchist Freetown Christiania, whose main artery is called Pusher Street.

A 33-year-old Muslim with a Swedish residence permit has been arrested in Denmark following a major police operation. The man, who is suspected of being radicalised, has issued death threats against Danish and Swedish royals, as well as anti-immigrant Danish politician Rasmus Paludan, the Danish newspaper Extra Bladet reported.

His wife stated that the man’s behaviour had changed over the past few weeks. For instance, he became secretive and changed the screen on the computer every time she approached. He started hearing voices about religious things, and his wife’s sister claimed he was writing “strange things” on Facebook.

“I cut the head of Queen [Margrete II] and the whole [Danish] Royal family. I have warned, and I won’t go for anything other than the throat”, the man reportedly wrote on Facebook.
In another instance, the man claimed that all Danes belong to Satan and pledged to “kill as many people as there are stars”.

The man has been charged with five specific threats written between 16 and 24 October. Aside from the Danish Queen, he threatened Swedish King Carl XVI Gustaf.

“Last warning to the Swedish police and border police, if I do not receive an answer soon, then, with God’s will, I will put down the state and the king, even if I am then forced to sever his head from his body”, the man wrote.

He posted a photo of Rasmus Paludan, the leader of right-wing anti-immigrant party Stram Kurs, which has a habit of burning the Quran to celebrate freedom of speech in Denmark. “If you are a man, show your face in public, and if you burn the words of the Quran, I will burn entire Denmark including you”, the man wrote.

The man’s wife feared he was suffering from psychosis as he daily went to Christiania, Copenhagen’s frivolous hippie quarter where hash is sold openly, to smoke hashish, and she had urged him to seek out a psychologist.

The wife was frightened he would turn violent, so she reported him to the local imam and then to the Copenhagen Police. The man has been jailed for 10 days and charged with making threats to do bodily harm. The wife said she was scared of her husband if he was released, she explained to the police.

The arrested man has a residence permit in Sweden, where he works in health care, but he lives with his wife and daughter in Copenhagen, from where he commutes to work every day in Malmö.

In court, the 33-year-old explained that he was a praying Muslim, but not overwhelmingly interested in religion and had recently grown a beard “to see how it looks”.”

Canada’s western provinces are angry at Trudeau and other eastern liberals.

Confused by Brexit? Get ready for “Wexit.”

Political leaders representing a large chunk of Canada are talking about breaking off from the rest of the country in the wake of Justin Trudeau’s re-election victory — and this time they’re not primarily in French-speaking Quebec, long known for its independent streak.

Instead, it’s the country’s western, oil-dependent provinces fueling the breathless talk of secession, amid a perception that Trudeau and eastern urban liberals are calling the shots at their expense. And it’s emerging as one of Trudeau’s most complicated headaches as the Prime Minister moves toward the start of his second term next month.

  10. Hong Kong bars activist Joshua Wong from district poll

HONG KONG (Reuters) – Hong Kong authorities disqualified prominent pro-democracy activist Joshua Wong on Tuesday from standing in upcoming district elections, a move likely to sow discord among anti-government demonstrators as an illegal Halloween march looms.

Wong, who was 17 when he became the face of the 2014 student-led Umbrella Movement, has not been a leading figure in the latest five-month spate of largely leaderless protests in the Chinese-ruled city.

However, the bespectacled Wong, now 23, holds a high profile internationally and described his disqualification – on the grounds that advocacy of Hong Kong’s self-determination violates electoral laws – as political censorship.

“The decision to ban me from running (for) office is clearly politically driven,” Wong said on Tuesday.

“The so-called ‘reasons’ is judging subjectively on my intention to uphold Basic Law. But everyone would know that the true reason is my identity, Joshua Wong.”

This year’s protests, which started over a now-withdrawn extradition bill, have evolved into calls for greater democracy. They have plunged the city into its biggest crisis in decades, taking a heavy toll on the economy and showing little sign of letting up.

They have also posed the biggest populist challenge to Chinese President Xi Jinping since he came to power in 2012.

Wong said he was the only person disqualified out of more than 1,100 candidates in district council elections set for November 24.

    • Iraq – Masked men attack protesters in Karbala, 18 dead, hundreds injured

One of the deadliest single attacks on protesters since anti-government demonstrations erupted earlier this month: masked gunmen opened fire at Iraqi protesters in the Shiite holy city of Karbala on Tuesday, killing 18 people and wounding hundreds, security officials report.

The attack, which happened overnight, came as Iraqis took to the streets for a fifth consecutive day, protesting their government’s corruption, lack of services and other grievances.

“Prosecutors have demanded a six-year prison sentence for a Pakistani man accused of plotting a terror attack on Dutch anti-Islam lawmaker Geert Wilders.

Prosecutors said Tuesday the 27-year-old suspect traveled to the Netherlands in August last year with “the intention to kill the politician” because of a competition Wilders was organizing featuring cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad.

Prosecutors say the man, identified by Dutch media as Junaid I., threatened Wilders in a video he posted on Facebook in which he said: “I will send that dog … to Hell.”

The suspect denies plotting to kill Wilders.

The Dutch lawmaker canceled the planned cartoon contest following death threats and concerns about the safety of other people.

  18. Strategic shift in U.S. Syria posture: Armor and rumors of armor
    By J.E. Dyer October 29, 2019

Last week, a series of reports indicated that the U.S. intends to move a relatively small contingent of armored force into Syria. Although it ultimately wasn’t clear what the force would consist of, Abrams main battle tanks and armored personnel carriers (for mechanized infantry) were discussed.

Shaking the various reports out, they seem to indicate a task-organized company-size contingent, likely to include tanks, to be deployed at a gas field in eastern Syria near Deir-ez-Zor. (Useful, rather extensive treatment here.) The location most widely discussed is the Conoco gas field Tabiye. The industrial installation for the field is located just east of Deir-ez-Zor, as shown on the maps, and has been under the control of Kurdish and Arab SDF forces since 2017. It was also the site of a bizarre episode thought to involve Russian mercenaries in February 2018, in which U.S. troops came under attack and some dozens of the attackers were killed.

  19. A ‘special breed of courageous’: The special forces team member closest to Baghdadi at the end
    By J.E. Dyer October 28, 2019

The Washington Examiner opened its story on Monday with these somber words: “Though no U.S. forces were killed in the Saturday evening raid that led to the death of an ISIS leader, one military working dog suffered severe injuries in the line of duty.”

The dog is the raiding team member who chased deceased ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi down a tunnel in the terrorist’s final minutes, and had him cornered when he blew himself up with his suicide vest. Baghdadi was using three of his children as human shields, and the blast killed them as well. According to President Trump, Baghdadi was said to be “whimpering, screaming, and crying” as he sought to flee the U.S. force closing in on him.

The Washington Examiner was able to get a quote from an unnamed soldier assigned to Delta Force, although the dog’s name has not been released. Said the soldier, “The dog is a war veteran and a valued member of the team … The injury to the dog is an injury to one of us. These dogs are a special breed of courageous.”

Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi’s underpants tested for DNA before raid

Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi’s underpants were obtained by an undercover source, and DNA tested to prove his identity, before an operation by US forces to kill him.

That’s according to Polat Can, a senior adviser to the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces.

Can gave details on Twitter about how SDF intelligence work had helped locate Baghdadi, whose death was announced by US President Donald Trump on Sunday.

“Our own source, who had been able to reach al-Baghdadi, brought al-Baghdadi’s underwear to conduct a DNA test and make sure (100 per cent) that the person in question was al-Baghdadi himself,” Can said on Monday.

Trump has said the Kurds provided some information “helpful” to the operation.

Can said the SDF had been working since May 15 with the CIA to track Baghdadi, and managed to confirm that he had moved from Deir al-Zor in eastern Syria to Idlib, where he was killed.

Baghdadi had been about to change location to the Syrian town of Jarablus when the operation happened, he said.

    Authorities respond

“All intelligence and access to al-Baghdadi, as well as the identification of his place, were the result of our own work,” Can said.

“Our intelligence source was involved in sending co-ordinates, directing the airdrop, participating in and making the operation a success until the last minute.”

Meanwhile, US authorities have disposed of Baghdadi’s remains and have no plans to release photos or videos of his death at this time, said the chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, Army General Mike Milley.

Al-Baghdadi detonated a suicide vest to kill himself as US forces closed in on him, President Donald Trump said on Sunday.

‘The disposal of his remains has been done and is complete and was handled appropriately.’

“The disposal of his remains has been done and is complete and was handled appropriately,” Milley told reporters at a Pentagon briefing on Monday.

Al-Baghdadi was given a burial at sea and afforded religious rites according to Islamic custom, a US official told Reuters.

The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, did not disclose further details, including how or where the ritual was performed.

al arabiya – Exclusive: ISIS leader’s companion reveals details on Baghdadi’s last days

Al Arabiya exclusively interviewed on Sunday one of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi’s companions, currently detained by the Iraqi intelligence, about the ISIS leader’s last days.

Mohammed Ali Sajet is said to have reported intel on al-Baghdadi, which led to his killing by US forces.

Al-Baghdadi died by detonating a suicide vest, as confirmed by US President Donald Trump on Sunday, having run into a “dead-end tunnel” being pursued by US troops.

“US personnel were incredible, I got to watch much of it. No personnel were lost in the operation,” said Trump. “He died after running into a dead-end tunnel, whimpering and crying and screaming all the way. The compound had been cleared by this time.”

Sajet told Al Arabiya that the ISIS leader did not expect the raid to happen as he took “high security measures,” adding that his hiding tactics were “excellent.”

However, the ISIS leader’s companion and his wife’s brother-in-law also said that his security status was “deteriorating” in the last time they met, adding that Baghdadi wanted to change his location, which was on the Syrian-Iraqi border, but “didn’t know how.”

“He was in an eight-meter long underground tunnel with a width of five to six meters. It had a library, religious books, and the Quran … the hiding situation was good,” Sajet added.

    $25 million

Asked about the self-proclaimed caliphate, Sajet said that ISIS top leaders, including himself, would burry dollars, gold, and silver in the desert, adding that $25 million were lost in al-Anbar desert and were later found by shepherds

  24. NPR Praises Terrorist Baghdadi: ‘He Was a Real Leader,’ ‘A Movement We’ve Never Seen Before’ (breitbart, Oct 28, 2019)
    https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2019/10/28/npr-praises-terrorist-baghdadi-he-was-a-real-leader-a-movement-weve-never-seen-before/

“The Washington Post is not alone when it comes to kind remembrances of the ISIS terrorist Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, who died igniting a suicide vest in a tunnel in northwest Syria on Saturday as U.S. troops closed in.

During special coverage of President Donald Trump’s announcement on Sunday of the successful mission, National Public Radio (NPR) praised the man who was responsible for beheading three Americans and enslaving and killing an American woman.

Host Lulu Garcia-Navarro led a roundtable discussion with NPR reporters Greg Myre, Tamara Keith and Daniel Estrin about Baghdadi’s death and asked them to tell listeners about the terrorist.

“He led a movement that we’ve never seen before,” Myre said. “ISIS had tens of thousands of members, fighters, coming in from all over the world.”

“They controlled massive amounts of territory — in Eastern Syria and Western and Northern Iraq,” Myre said, adding ISIS had ”millions of people under their control.”

“They administered cities, they collected taxes,” Myre said.

“They had this incredible online recruit presence in terms of spreading propaganda; recruiting followers,” Myre said. “This is a guy that sort of emerged on the scene.”

“And led this group that had done something we’d never seen before,” Myre said.

“This isn’t the end of ISIS, but he was a real leader,” Myre said. “It’s not somebody that they can just appoint somebody else; take over, and the movement continues.”

“His leadership was critical,” said Myre, who finally admitted that the terrorist’s death was “definitely a major blow to the Islamic State.”

Estrin called the successful mission a “symbolic victory.”

Meanwhile, Keith, who is a White House correspondent for NPR, claimed that Trump makes up U.S. foreign policy “on the fly” and the president’s announcement took the “focus away from the muddle and confusion” of his administration.”

    • Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, rapist, led genocidal ‘caliphate,’ died in tunnel

Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was a rapist. Like most jihadists, his main motivation was murder and genocide, combined with far-Right religious hatred. In Islamic State, the organization and “state” that he led, he was able to exploit various strands of followers to create the closest thing the Middle East has seen to a short-lived, Nazi-style country.

He spent his days as leader raping women the group had kidnapped while his men died on the front lines. Like Hitler, he enjoyed the good life while his Sunni soldiers suffered under the bombs of the US-led coalition and struggled to stop the rising tide of Shi’ite militias and Kurdish fighters arrayed against them.…

Then ISIS planned a genocide of the Yazidi minority living in Sinjar, west of Mosul. Isolated and thinly defended by Kurdish Peshmerga, they were an easy target. On August 3, using armored vehicles captured from the Iraqi army, ISIS overran Sinjar, capturing more than 10,000 Yazidis.

500,000 people were forced to flee. ISIS divided the Yazidi families, like Nazis had divided Jewish families in Auschwitz. The jihadist group sold the women and children into slavery and murdered the men.…

ALL THE WHILE, Baghdadi was busy raping women. This was not incidental to his caliphate: It was the main driving force behind it. ISIS was an empire of rape. It sold itself abroad as a brand promising young men from Central Asia to the Caribbean a chance to come to Syria and Iraq, and rape and harm local people. It promised slaves and booty. Baghdadi raped Yazidi girls and his forces acquired the kidnapped American Kayla Mueller.…

BAGHDADI DIDN’T surrender though – he hid out and eventually made his way to Idlib province. His surviving wives and family were smuggled through Turkey. It seems that by this time, he no longer had any slaves to rape. When he was caught he died in a tunnel, like Hitler in the bunker.

The only tragedy of his death is that he was not caught by his victims…. Baghdadi met a decent death at the hands of the Americans. It was not a death his men had given to their victims, such as the thousands of Yazidis machine-gunned and dumped in mass graves, or the Shi’ite victims of the Camp Speicher massacre in June 2014.

Baghdadi preferred to unleash his forces against the innocent and then walk away as cities burned in the aftermath..…

  26. President Trump Is Challenging California’s Sanctuary Law In The Supreme Court

The Trump administration has asked the Supreme Court to quash California’s migrant sanctuary law, which broadly prohibits state and local law enforcement from cooperating with federal immigration authorities.

The dispute over the California Values Act, or SB 54, is ideologically scrambled, featuring a conservative administration arguing for strong federal power against California liberals making a states-rights defense.

    • Lebanon | Resignation of PM brings people onto streets in celebration

Lebanon’s Prime minister Saad Hariri has announced his resignation in response to a wave of protests, which have engulfed the country for the past few weeks.

  27. French Senate debates Muslim headscarf bill (abcnews, Oct 29, 2019)
    https://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/french-senate-debates-muslim-headscarf-bill-66615762

“The French Senate is debating a bill that would require Muslim mothers who wear headscarves to remove them on school outings.

The bill under consideration on Monday comes amid a weeks-long uproar over French secularism and headscarves at the center of the debate.

The thorny topic moved into the headlines in mid-October after a far-right National Rally representative at a regional council demanded that a Muslim woman in the chamber remove her headscarf, causing a scandal.

The measure under debate was introduced by the mainstream right months earlier.

Education Minister Jean-Michel Blanquer told Senators any law forbidding head coverings on school outings would be “counter-productive.” A 2005 law banned students from wearing headscarves in classrooms.

The bill has little chance of passing in the lower house and becoming law.”

“Gunmen shot and killed five Indian laborers working in India-controlled Kashmir late Tuesday, police said.

The shooting was in an apparent protest of New Delhi’s stripping the disputed region of its semi-autonomous status in early August.

Gunmen also shot and critically injured one more laborer near a southern Kulgam district town, senior police officer Muneer Ahmed Khan said.

The laborers were staying at their rented accommodation when a group of six militants barged inside the two rented rooms and shot them dead after taking them to some distance, said a police officer speaking on condition of anonymity as he was not authorized to speak to the media.

Five of the laborers succumbed to their injuries, while one has been taken to the hospital in a critical condition, the officer said.

Three other laborers are missing, the officer said…”

  32. BREAKING EXCLUSIVE: Fired FBI Director Comey Likely Doctored His Memos In Effort to Take Down President Trump and the US Senate May Have the Evidence!

The Gateway Pundit reported on May 25th that the infamous Trump Tower meeting in early January 2017 may have initiated the Trump obstruction investigation.
Then we reported on August 3rd that text messages from Peter Strzok to Lisa Page showed that the Mueller Special Counsel in its first month was already working on an obstruction trap for President Trump to step in.
Then we reported the following day on August 4th that a further analysis indicated that the entire obstruction ‘trap’ started with Comey’s notes that were likely doctored by Comey for use by the Mueller gang!
Today we can report that the US Senate may have Comey’s original memos used by the FBI to open the FBI’s Trump obstruction case which likely differ from the final memos Comey provided a few weeks later to Mueller’s Special Counsel gang.
