It is a unanimous decision, bitingly written by Justice Suzanne Cote from the Supreme Court of Canada and it puts a shine — a happy ending — on the disgraceful 10-year-long ordeal of Randy Fleming.

 

Fleming was arrested by a half-dozen Ontario Provincial Police officers on May 24, 2009, wrestled to the ground, hands cuffed behind his back and permanently injured, transported to a nearby detachment and kept in a cell for almost three hours.

6. UK Court Rules Biblical Belief in Two Sexes ‘Incompatible with Human Dignity’

(Actually the legal belief in two sexes and biblical connections may well be the actual source of human dignity)

A British employment tribunal has ruled that a Christian doctor’s biblical understanding of sexuality and lack of belief in transgenderism is “incompatible with human dignity.”

After being fired from his job in 2018 for refusing to use pronouns that do not correspond to a person’s biological sex, disability assessor Dr David Mackereth filed a complaint against the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) for harassment and discrimination under the Equality Act.

 

In its decision this week, the panel declared that Dr Mackereth’s biblical belief that “God made humans male or female” was “incompatible with human dignity”.

The tribunal ruled explicitly on three positions taken by Dr Mackereth that made him unable in good conscience to address a person as if they were a member of the opposite sex.

 

The court referred to Mackereth’s “belief in Genesis 1:27,” a passage from the Bible that states: “So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.”

 

Second, the court cited the doctor’s “lack of belief in transgenderism” since he refuses to accept that it is possible for a person to change their sex.

 

Finally, the tribunal referenced Mackereth’s “conscientious objection to transgenderism” and his belief that it would be irresponsible and dishonest for a health professional to accommodate and/or encourage a patient’s impersonation of the opposite sex.

 

The tribunal determined that Dr Mackereth’s three beliefs are not protected because they “are incompatible with human dignity and conflict with the fundamental rights of others, specifically here, transgender individuals.”

7. French police worker who slaughtered four colleagues in knife ‘had supported 2015 Bataclan terror attack that killed 130’ and had converted to Islam a decade earlier than investigators first believed

The French civilian police worker who went on a knife rampage killing four colleagues supported the Bataclan and Charlie Hebdo terror attacks in 2015, according to new reports.

 

Michael Harpon, 45, was shot dead following the rampage inside the historic Paris Police Prefecture, next door to Notre Dame Cathedral, on Thursday afternoon.

Several people interviewed by police have since revealed he converted to Islam in 2008, not 18 months ago as had been suggested, according to BFMTV.

 

He also supported the two horrific terror attacks which rocked Paris in 2015 at the offices of Charlie Hebdo and a mass shooting across the city which killed 130 in November, the reports said.

8. Charlie Hebdo Boss Blasts Leftist ‘Collaborators’ in New Book on 2015 Terror Attack

The head of Charlie Hebdo has blasted leftists and others in a new book about the 2015 radical Islamic terror attack on the satirical French magazine’s office.

Laurent Sourisseau, more commonly known in France as Riss, tells the story of the terror attack in January 2015 that claimed the lives of 12 people, the majority his fellow Charlie Hebdo writers and cartoonists, France Inter reports.

While the book, titled One Minute Forty-Nine Seconds, describes the moments of the attack, part of the book also speaks out against the Islamic radicals who sought to silence the satirical magazine through violence.

 

Riss’s anger also targets those he terms “collabos” or collaborators. He includes several categories of people such as “the reactionary Muslims, the Trotsky-Stalinists, the cowards, the followers of secularism, the informers of Islamophobia”, as part of the collabos.
