1. Scheer’s Conservatives are indistinguishable from Trudeau’s Liberals
It’s official.@AndrewScheer has admitted he supports the Liberal plan to increase immigration target from about 250k annually in recent years to 350k.
The PPC will reduce it to 150k.
You now have a clear choice.
It’s LibCons against PPC. https://t.co/wmeBlClXpi— Maxime Bernier (@MaximeBernier) October 2, 2019
2. Trudeau hypocrisy:
That’s amazing. I’ve never heard of that before.
Trudeau the climate savior took a 50 km (30 mile) campaign flight, by jet. Were @cathmckenna & @s_guilbeault on board scolding people about plastic straws? cc. @GretaThunberg https://t.co/yWW1p9flFb

3. Outrage Over Sweden’s ‘Absurd’ Plan to Delete Ancient History From School Curriculum
Previously-undisputed pillars of education such as ancient and medieval history will have to make way for contemporary topics such as gender roles, democratic values and immigration in the newly-proposed Swedish school curriculum.
A new syllabus developed for Sweden’s state schools by the country’s National Agency for Education proposes drastic changes in how history and humanities should be taught.
The most striking part is that Classical Antiquity and the Middle Ages, a formative period for the Western world in general and Sweden in particular, will disappear from the curriculum completely.

4. Female Isil supporter killed in row over makeshift Sharia court in Syrian camp
Afemale Isil supporter was killed and seven others injured during an exchange of gunfire over a secret Sharia court set up in a Syrian camp holding displaced women and children.
The row broke out when a group of female Isil supporters ordered that several other women in the foreigners’ section of al-Hol camp be given lashes for refusing to attend an informal Koranic studies class.
Guards from the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces, who run the camp, intervened and opened fire after one of the Isil members pulled out a pistol that had reportedly been smuggled into the camp.
The women claimed they had also taken hostage employees of Medecins Sans Frontieres, though this was denied by the aid agency, which said it had treated four women for gunshot wounds. […]
Several reports have said groups of women are attempting to impose Isil law on others in the camp.

5. Street war in France. Translation:
Pictures from surveillance cameras leaked through the Internet. We see a gang war – GargesLèsGonesse in France with machetes, tear gas guns…. what happened to Europe?
It happened in GOUSSAINVILLE
(From reading the Twitter feed, it says the guy on the ground died in the hospital. He was hit several times with a machete on the feet and in the head, but the news is saying no deaths just 4 injured.)

6. Regina man ordered by SGI to turn in ‘MAGAUSA’ licence plate
(This site has covered several instances of various Canadian provincial governments cancelling previously approved licence plates for Soviet like reasons)
Rod Kletchko believes surrendering his “MAGAUSA” vanity plate to SGI would be the equivalent of selling his soul for 30 pieces of silver.
The plate, which is a reference to President Donald Trump’s “Make America Great Again” campaign slogan, was approved by SGI and put on Kletchko’s Mercedes SL550 in May.
Last Thursday, Kletchko said he was told by SGI that the plate was no longer approved. He has 30 days to turn the plate in or it will be cancelled. According to the Crown, plates with political slogans are off limits. SGI has offered to refund the cost of the plate and cover the price of a new one.
Kletchko is conflicted. As a supporter of Trump and a proponent of freedom of self-expression, the thought of giving the plate up doesn’t sit well.
“I feel that my integrity is at stake here. So if I capitulate, how good is that for me when I tell everybody to fight for the right of free speech?,” said Kletchko, who operates a point-of-sale equipment and supplies business.

8. WATCH CBC lie to your face about the Paris attack
What CBC doesn’t say:
He smuggled in a ceramic knife
He converted to Islam
He started an argument about working with women and not wanting to shake hands with women.
What CBC does say: (And BBC as well)
“It is a total mystery”

3 – I expressed outrage when the US schools were no longer teaching ancient history, and was told (they had a straight face when they said this) there has been so much more history since you were in school we have to cut some of the history from the books.
There is a plan to start again, but only with “demand” for an AP ancient history:
https://apcentral.collegeboard.org/courses/ap-world-history/course/announcement?course=ap-world-history
The AP World History: Modern course will begin in 1200 CE, rather than 1450 CE, starting in the 2019-20 school year. This change will ensure teachers and students can begin the course with a study of the civilizations in Africa, the Americas, and Asia that are foundational to the modern era.

I don’t in principle oppose teaching that history. But I fear it will be about noble savages, ancient Egytpians who invented airplanes, the we wuz kings narrative.
I’d be really surprised if the curriculum will mention the annual customs of Dahomey, the re-introduction of slavery by the Mahdi in Sudan, Tippu Tip, the Arab slave trade, pirates of the Berbery coast etc etc. And that’s just Africa.

Not even the Roman Republic?!
To take away history is to lobotomize the civilization.
