Daily Links Post graphic

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

  6. US Waging Cyberwar Against Iran, ‘Won’t Be Able to Finish’ It – Zarif (sputniknews, Sep 29, 2019)
    https://sputniknews.com/middleeast/201909291076916547-us-waging-cyberwar-against-iran-wont-be-able-to-finish-it–zarif/

“Around one fifth of Iranian centrifuges, used to purify uranium, were reportedly physically ravaged as a result of a cyber-attack with the use of a computer worm purportedly developed by the US and Israel. Tehran, however, reported encountering only “minor problems” with its centrifuges.

Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif has stated in an interview with NBC News that Iran is to this day embroiled in a cyberwar with the US that was initiated by Washington a long time ago.

Zarif recalled Operation Olympic Games, reportedly begun by President George W. Bush in 2006 and continued under the Obama administration, that purportedly sought to halt the Iranian nuclear programme’s development. The minister also recalled the Stuxnet computer worm attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities, which were reportedly planned and executed by the US and Israel.

“There is a cyber war going on. The United States started that cyber war, with attacking our nuclear facilities in a very dangerous, irresponsible way that could’ve killed millions of people. There is a cyber war and Iran is engaged in that cyber war”, he said.

At the same time, Zarif cautioned Washington that “any war” that the US starts “it won’t be able to finish”, including the cyber one.

The Stuxnet computer worm reportedly damaged 1,000 of 5,000 centrifuges at the Iranian Natanz plant by accelerating them beyond safe speeds. Tehran downplayed reports of damages, with then Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad saying that the cyberattack had caused “minor problems with some of centrifuges”.

Stuxnet’s development was carried out in collaboration between the US and Israel, according to The New York Times, citing anonymous officials. Washington has never officially acknowledged being responsible for the cyberattack.”

    • I haven’t read his writings but I have talked to people who are saying that there are a lot of trained Special Operations types either already in the US or trying to get into the US. If they decide to make a move it won’t be a Pearl Harbor military attack it will be a series of small attacks on various parts of the infrastructure trying to cause chaos. I don’t know if any of the trained personal are working with antifa or if they are two or more competing groups with the same goals but with different people they want to end up in charge.

I say if they decide to attack because the foreign operators are for the most part either controlled or semi controlled by foreign governments and they are waiting for the right time to strike. These groups have to strike in ways that will do damage to the US but leave no evidence that will implicate their host nations.

While this man is focusing on the US don’t forget the ships full of small arms that were captured trying to smuggle those weapons into Europe. Europe is at risk with the same threat that the US is. Personally I don’t think there will be a foreign attack while there is even a small possibility that the radical left will gain control of the US Government.

  7. Italy: Five Star Senator and Judge Attacked and Robbed By Migrant Gang (breitbart, Sep 29, 2019)
    https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2019/09/29/italy-five-star-senator-and-judge-attacked-and-robbed-by-migrant-gang/

“A gang of North African youths from Algeria robbed an Italian Senator of the Five Star Movement (M5S) along with a judge at Rome’s central Termini railway station.

Senator Gabriele Lanzi and the judge were robbed by three Algerian men, with the judge having his briefcase stolen, shortly after finishing his lunch at a restaurant near the station, Il Giornale reports.

A short time after the first robbery, Senator Lanzi was attempting to find a taxi when he was approached by the migrant youths who districted him and stole his bag which contained a laptop, an iPad and various documents.

The Senator quickly alerted police who were able to arrest two of the migrants, aged 20 and 27, who have been charged with aggravated theft. Police were also able to recover the objects stolen from both the judge and the senator.

The incident comes as the Five Star Movement, along with the left-establishment Democratic Party (PD), have formed a new coaliton government and made changes to open Italy’s ports to NGO migrant transport ships, with 182 migrants landing in Italy last weekend.

The area around the Termini railway station has become a hub for illegal migrants and a hub for criminality in recent years.

In the past year alone, the area has several violent incidents, including a pair of illegal migrants arrested for beating up and robbing a 70-year-old woman who had her arm broken as a result of the attack when she was thrown to the ground.

Just months later, a Moroccan migrant was arrested after he stabbed a homeless man at the railway station because he was wearing a necklace with a crucifix on it.

Giorgia Meloni, leader of the conservative-populist Brothers of Italy (FdI), slammed the incident, saying, “If Muslims think of bringing the holy war into our house, it is time to take drastic measures: it remains only to block any kind of Islamic immigration until these ideas are clarified.””

  8. Poland Rejects European Union Migrant Redistribution Plan (breitbart, Sep 29, 2019)
    https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2019/09/29/poland-rejects-european-union-migrant-redistribution-plan/

“The Polish ambassador in Rome has rejected the new European Union migrant redistribution agreement, stating that no migrants will be accepted in Poland.

Ambassador Anna Maria Anders said that the government in Warsaw would only welcome migrants who share linguistic and cultural traditions with the Polish people, Italian newspaper Il Giornale reports.

“The EU wants redistribution, but we do not change our point of view. Warsaw is already doing so much. In Poland, there are two million Ukrainians, many of whom have fled from war zones. They integrate well, share in part our language, traditions, and culture,” Anders said.

She went on to stress the importance of Christianity in Poland, saying: “The role of Christianity is a glue of the Polish nation. And this must be respected.”

“For almost half a century we have not had the opportunity to show our flags, to freely demonstrate, to sing our slogans and anthem. Now, we have the freedom to do so and it is not possible to be dismissed as a nationalist just because we proudly reveal our identity,” she added, referring to the country long years under a communist puppet regime during the Cold War.

The EU migrant agreement, known as the Malta agreement, was agreed upon by five European Union member-states’ interior ministers earlier this week.

The draft deal would see countries take newly arrived migrants from hotspots such as Italy and Greece within four weeks of their arrival.

The agreement is seen as a win for Italian prime minister Giuseppe Conte, whose new leftist coalition government had begun easing policy on migrant transport NGO vessels operating off the so-called search-and-rescue zone near Libyan territorial waters.

The policy of opening Italy’s ports comes after over a year of closed ports as part of the policy of populist former interior minister Matteo Salvini, of the right-populist League (Lega) party.

Salvini’s policy drastically reduced the number of drowning deaths in the Mediterranean Sea.”

  9. Sweden: People Treated For Gunshot Wounds Up 20 Per Cent in 2018 (breitbart, Sep 29, 2019)
    https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2019/09/29/sweden-people-treated-for-gunshot-wounds-up-20-per-cent-in-2018/

“The number of people in Sweden treated for gunshot wounds soared 20 per cent in 2018 and has more than doubled compared to 2012.

The statistics from the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare patient register show that in 2018 a total of 148 people were treated with gunshot injuries, 26 more than the previous year, Sveriges Radio reports.

According to the board, the statistics do not reflect those who had died as a result of gunshots and died at the scene of the shootings.

Anders Östlund, chief physician of trauma and emergency surgery at Karolinska University Hospital in Solna, commented on the growing trend, saying, ” You get a very short warning and they require quite a large amount of resources. For the most part, these patients end up in an intensive care unit and perhaps in an operating room fairly immediately.”

Head of the Trauma Center at Karolinska University Hospital Lennart Adamsson added, “We don’t see everyone here, because many die before they come here. These are more violent acts of aggression. We can get an alarm, but they never come because they are already dead on the spot. That has changed.”

Last year also saw a record number of fatal shootings in Sweden, with Stockholm police expert Gunnar Appelgren describing the situation in the country as being like a state “at war”.

Head of the Swedish Security Service (Säpo) Anders Thornberg commented in July saying that the level of shootings was unlikely to reduce in the near future and could last several more years at least.

Thornberg likened the problem to drug trafficking, saying it was impossible to solve the problem overnight.

Many have speculated as to the reasons for the rise in overall violence, particularly among those involved in criminal gang activity.

Swedish criminologist Manne Gerell has claimed that the surge in violence among gang members can be traced to changing social norms in which criminals are constantly trying to one-up each other.

“In order to make money and to establish oneself in that environment, you need to practice some violence or at least experience it. When some people start using automatic weapons, explosives, or hand grenades, the others must follow,” Gerell said.”

    https://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/car-carrying-12-migrants-hits-greek-mans-car-65934029

“Greek police say a speeding car carrying 12 Afghan migrants ran through a red light and crashed into a vehicle coming from a side street, killing its driver, a 64-year-old Greek man.

Police say one migrant was seriously injured and three others were slightly injured in the accident Sunday morning on the old Kavala-Thessaloniki road in northern Greece. Some of the migrants were found in the sedan’s trunk.

The driver of the car with the migrants has been arrested. Police say he is a 25-year-old Moldovan trafficker who was taking migrants toward the Greek city of Thessaloniki, 22 kilometers (14 miles) to the west.

When asked by The Associated Press whether the trafficker’s car was being pursued, a police spokesman said no. But other police sources said the car might have been monitored by authorities in an unmarked vehicle. All spoke on condition of anonymity because the case is ongoing.”

  11. Egypt says security forces kill 15 militants in Sinai (abcnews, Sep 29, 2019)
    https://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/egypt-security-forces-kill-15-militants-sinai-65935425

“Egypt says its police forces have killed 15 suspected militants in a raid in the restive northern part of the Sinai Peninsula.

An Interior Ministry statement Sunday says security forces exchanged fire with the militants as they stormed their hideout in the Mediterranean coastal city of el-Arish.

No casualties were reported among the police. The statement did not say when the raid took place.

The statement came three days after an Islamic State attack on a checkpoint in the town of Bir el-Abd killed eight troops and a civilian. Security forces killed at least 15 militants in that attack.

Egypt has battled an insurgency led by an Islamic State affiliate for years in the Sinai Peninsula that has occasionally spilled over to the mainland.”

  12. Giuliani was not working alone in Biden Ukraine probe

Rudy Giuliani was not the only attorney trying to get damaging information on Joe Biden from Ukrainian officials, and President Trump’s decision to withhold aid from Ukraine this summer was made in spite of several federal agencies supporting the aid, Fox News’ Chris Wallace revealed on “Fox News Sunday.”

In addition to Giuliani, Washington, D.C., lawyers Joe DiGenova and his wife Victoria Toensing worked alongside the former New York City mayor. According to a top U.S. official, the three attorneys were working “off the books” — not within the Trump administration — and only the president knows the details of their work.

  13. Intense Hong Kong clashes ahead of China’s 70th anniversary

    ,AFP•S

Fierce clashes broke out between protesters and riot police in Hong Kong on Sunday as thousands marched through the strife-torn city, during a day of global protests aimed at casting a shadow over communist China’s upcoming 70th birthday.

Beijing is preparing for huge, tightly-choreographed festivities from Tuesday to mark the founding of the People’s Republic of China, including a huge military parade that will revel in the country’s emergence as a global superpower.

But ongoing unrest in Hong Kong threatens to upstage those celebrations as the semi-autonomous city boils with public anger over the erosion of its special freedoms under Beijing’s rule.

Democracy activists in the financial hub had vowed to ramp up their nearly four-month-long campaign ahead of Tuesday’s National Day celebrations, which Hong Kong protesters have dubbed a “Day of Grief”.

  14. Ugly Clashes as Hong Kong Protesters Battle Police Ahead of China Anniversary
Weekend violence suggests a large showdown on China’s national day Tuesday

HONG KONG—Tens of thousands of protesters poured onto Hong Kong’s streets Sunday, with the fiercest battles in weeks breaking out as demonstrators faced off with police and shouted anti-China slogans ahead of Tuesday’s 70th anniversary of the founding of Communist China.

The protesters had planned to march to the government headquarters in the center of the city under the theme “Global Anti-Totalitarianism Rally.” The police broke up the march at about 4 p.m., an hour or so after it began, engaging the protesters in urban street battles in several districts amid clouds of tear gas and bursts of rubber bullets. They made multiple arrests.

Protesters waved flags from different countries and international institutions, including the U.S. and the United Nations, appealing to the global community to stand with the city’s antigovernment movement. Rallies were taking place or planned in dozens of cities around the world in solidarity with Hong Kong’s protesters.

  15. Chinese parade a glimpse into military ambitions
    By JOE McDONALD9 minutes ago

BEIJING (AP) — A parade Tuesday by China’s secretive military will offer a rare look at its rapidly developing arsenal, including possibly a nuclear-capable missile that could reach the United States in 30 minutes, as Beijing gets closer to matching Washington and other powers in weapons technology.

The Dongfeng 41 is one of a series of new weapons Chinese media say might be unveiled during the parade marking the ruling Communist Party’s 70th anniversary in power. Others include a supersonic drone and a robot submarine.

The parade will highlight Beijing’s ambition to enforce claims to Taiwan, the South China Sea and other disputed territories — and to challenge Washington as the region’s dominant force.

  16. Street fires burn in Hong Kong amid running battles between protesters and police

HONG KONG (Reuters) – Hong Kong police fired water cannon, rubber bullets and round after round of tear gas at petrol bomb-throwing protesters on Sunday in some of the most widespread and violent clashes in more than three months of anti-government unrest.

Running battles in the Causeway Bay shopping district, Wan Chai bar area and the Admiralty district of central government offices followed a night of showdowns with police in the Chinese-ruled city, where street fires burned as dusk fell.

  17. Yes, Obama admin asked Ukraine to investigate Trump campaign, but what of it?
By Howard Portnoy September 28, 2019

As my colleague J.E. Dyer, notes in a must-read column this morning, the fish is now stinking from the head down. The timeline of the Democrats’ rush to judgment now raises all sorts of questions. Why, for example, did Adam Schiff sit on the whistleblower’s complaint for over a month (shades of Dianne Weinstein’s handling of the Blasey-Ford complaint)? And what prompted the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) sometime between May and August to loosen the key requirements for lodging a whistleblower complaint from within the intelligence community? (“First-hand information” is no longer a prerequisite for filing a complaint, which conveniently covers the current situation.)

Undaunted by these questions, Never Trumpers have pressed forward with other more pressing matters. National Review’s Jonah Goldberg asks in a morning headline “Trump did it, but should he be impeached?”

If the answer is yes, then Trump haters of all stripes have some questions of their own to answer. One is why there was never an outcry for impeachment when Barack Obama’s administration did precisely what Trump has been accused of, right down to the name of the foreign power.

    • Timeline of a ‘six ways from Sunday’ shadow war: Whistleblower rule change, other events in context
      By J.E. Dyer September 28, 2019

The Federalist’s Sean Davis posted a bombshell revelation (and readers know I don’t use that word as a rule) on Friday 27 September. The Director of National Intelligence (DNI) altered a key requirement for lodging a whistleblower complaint from within the intelligence community: a requirement that directly affected the complaint about the presidential phone call with Ukraine in July 2019. The “whistleblower’s” complaint was filed on 12 August 2019.

The substance of the change addresses whether the whistleblower must have firsthand, personal knowledge of the alleged wrongdoing or violation(s). In the older version of the DNI complaint submission form, the whistleblower is admonished that he or she must have “first-hand information.” In the new version, the whistleblower may indicate whether the complaint arises from firsthand (“direct and personal”) or secondhand knowledge (“heard about it from others”).

The alteration was made, according to the official revision date on the new complaint form, in August 2019.

      • (Richard: The problem with this title is that Rudy G. has affidavits from the Ukrainian Prosecutor saying that he was told he was fired because of Biden. He also has other affidavits backing up this statement.

Amid all else, Biden’s story about having gone to Ukraine to get prosecutor fired is fiction
By Ben Bowles September 29, 2019

No matter how the media spin the story of Joe Biden’s involvement in Ukrainegate, the former vice president is sure to come out on the losing end. Look at the facts: Biden’s son Hunter being given a high-paying job with a Ukrainian gas company at the time his father was vice president so reeks of nepotism that even far-left “comedian” Bill Maher felt compelled to observe on air that Rachel Maddow et al. would be freaking out if Donald Trump, Jr. had received the position.

Now a new problem with the story emerges that reminds us of another reason Biden is unfit to serve as president: his mental acuity. As Sen. Mike Lee’s Communications Director Conn Carroll notes in a tweet, Biden’s tale about going to Kiev in March 2016 to coerce then-Pres. Petro Poroshenko into firing a prosecutor who was investigating his son is at least partly fictional. Biden never went to Ukraine in March 2016. Instead Poroshenko came to the White House.

Carroll points followers to the White House archives for March 31, 2016 which reads:

    • Richard: The attacks by the Dems in their efforts to overturn the 2016 election are tearing this nation apart. The Dems know what they are doing and don’t care, they (the far left combined with the Swamp) were so close to achieving their goal of total control over the entire US and then Donald Trump came in from Right Field (it was actually center field but they are screaming right field) and proved that the people in the US still care about freedom and Inalienable Rights. The Dems know that if they left Donald Trump have two terms in office he and the Judges he appoints will undo all of the damage that the Far Left have done to the United States and our freedom. This is the reason the Dems don’t care what they are ddoing to the country, they are trying to regain the position where they are one or two elections from total control.

Despite what the Propaganda Media (MSM) say Trump and the Republicans are in a much better position then the Dems are. The more the Dems attack the more the people fall into back up Trump. I post videos by Tim Pool who is a self proclaimed leftist (he supports a lot that we support) who hates Trump. He lives out east and has a lot of contacts in the left, he keeps telling the left that if they keep attacking Trump and the people who voted him into office they will ensure that Trump wins a second term in office.

As long as we remain steady and support the populist movement around the world we can’t lose, however way too many people are believing the lies of the MSM about Trump being in trouble, he isn’t in trouble the Dems are in trouble. We have had close to 3 years (4 including the election) of the Dems and the Swamp attacking Trump. They have failed in all of their attacks so why are so many people who have watched him win time after time thinking that this latest attack (which is driving his poll numbers up instead of down). This attack isn’t even being done according to the rules of Congress and if the continue along this path they will guarantee that not only does Trump win a second term but that he will have coat tails enough to pull so many Repubs into Congress the Dems are unlikely to get any power in the 2022 election.

  18. Like clockwork: Per Susan Rice, Obama admin also put sensitive info on special compartmented server
    By J.E. Dyer September 28, 2019

The mainstream media are out chasing themselves around, dripping sweat in an Olympian effort to depict it as evidence of a cover-up that the Trump administration filed the transcript of the Trump-Zelensky phone call on a special, compartmented computer system used to store information on codeword operations. The effect of that is to restrict access to the transcript.

That is obviously a good thing, of course, given the determination of people with clearances to leak in a hostile manner against the Trump administration. Restricting access to such information is the only way to do at least some of their state business. Foreign governments will be increasingly leery of communications with the U.S. government at all levels, if they think it can’t protect the flow of information within its own ranks, much less prevent leaks to the media.

  19. Ocasio-Cortez wants federal gov’t to bail out NYC taxi drivers: What’s wrong with this picture?
By LU Staff September 29, 2019

Someone should sit Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez down and patiently explain to her the adage “Build a better mousetrap, and the world will beat a path to your door.” Then someone should sit her down and patiently explain that progressives — among which she numbers herself — are, at least in theory, supposed to favor progress over the status quo.

That Ocasio-Cortez is blind to both notions is evident from her latest crusade, which is to use federal tax dollars to bail out New York City taxi drivers. Never mind that as a New Yorker, Ocasio-Cortez must be aware of how abysmal the taxi system in New York has been to riders — and fellow drivers — for decades. Coupled with the absurd surcharges riders are required to pay thanks to the “medallion” system, which requires taxi owners to shell out a million dollars per vehicle for the privilege of choking city streets with traffic, cab rides are as expensive as the drivers’ English is bad.

It was partly as a response to these problems that ride share programs like Uber and Lyft came into existence in the first place. In the face of better rides in cleaner cars, taxi drivers and the industry of which they are a part have fallen on hard times.

Enter crusader Ocasio-Cortez with her sob story:

“The militants reported capturing armoured vehicles and officers from Saudi Arabia, which has been leading a military coalition in support of President Hadi, on 28 September. Riyadh hasn’t confirmed or denied the information.

Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saria has presented footage allegedly showing how the militant group attacked Saudi forces in the border region of Najran, capturing troops, officers and armoured vehicles in the process. The video was aired by the Houthi-run al-Masirah TV broadcaster.

The video shows several cars in an armoured column being hit by blasts. The Houthi military spokesman didn’t specify when the footage was filmed. A day earlier, the Houthis reported defeating three “enemy military brigades” and capturing “thousands” of soldiers, along with officers, over the last three days.

“Taliban* fighters have been burning homes of militants loyal to the Daesh* terror group in the Afghan province of Kunar, a local official said on Sunday.

Manogi district chief Abdul Marjan Adil said armed Taliban fighters came to the district on Saturday and set fire to at least 14 Daesh homes. He added that Daesh men had left without putting up resistance.

Houses were burned in Lacha Lam, Kandaro, Vadegram, Kleino and several other villages in Manogi. Adil said that Taliban militants were on their way to other areas with Daesh presence.

  22. Five EU interior ministers agree on draft migration deal
    https://www.euronews.com/2019/09/23/five-eu-interior-ministers-agree-on-draft-migration-deal
Interior ministers from five European Union states agreed on a draft deal to present to other EU countries on how to manage the migrant crisis and distribute those saved from the Mediterranean.
“It’s a first step that brings together our four countries under Finland’s presidency,” French interior minister Christopher Castaner said at a press conference in Malta.
He said the plan will be presented to other interior ministers on October 8th.
“We will live up to this meeting to save these women, men, and children so that those who are working to save [migrants] in the Mediterranean find a safe place quickly,” Castaner added.
“We will bring this draft agreement to Europe in October, and the project remains open to contributions also from other countries,” said Italian home secretary Luciana Lamorgese at the press conference in Malta.
The details of the plan and how the redistribution would work were not discussed, but Lamorgese said that migrants would be sent to other EU states within four weeks of arriving, Reuters reported.
“Upon approval, countries have to come forth and volunteer as places for disembarkation, and others who accept will participate in relocation,” the Ministry for Home Affairs and National Security in Malta said in a press release.
“Finally, frontline countries who are under stress in view of migratory flows are not to be left alone.”
The UN refugee agency states that over 57,000 refugees and migrants have arrived in Italy, Greece, Spain, Cyprus and Malta by sea so far this year.
Greece and Spain, who have taken in tens of thousands of migrants and who took in more migrants and refugees than any other country last year, were not present at the meeting of interior ministers.
European Parliament President David Sassoli said the agreement moved “in the direction outlined by the European Parliament” stating that Europe should regulate the “redistribution of asylum seekers”.

    • Towards the end Rudy makes the point I keep saying, if we don’t have equal justice under the law it is all over. If we are to remain free we must have the rule of law with everyone equal under the law. This idea is currently under attack around the world as the left works to create multi-tired judicial systems so they can punish their political enemies for being political enemies. We in the west have been living under the rule of law for varying numbers of years and the true patriots are working to restore our nations to full freedom. Mankind is once again living in a time that tries men’s souls and calls for patriots to once again fight for the freedom of all.

At the VA there was a placard (I don’t remember seeing it lately) that read: “A soldier is someone who once wrote a blank check to the government reading, Everything Including My Life If Necessary.”

Remember that saying because the time is approaching we everyone must decide if they are going to sign that blank check or live as a serf in the new Neo Feudal system that the left is working to create.

As the time for decision approaches remember the saying above and how Patrick Henry answered the question: “I Know Not What Course Others May Take But for Me, Give Me Liberty Of Give Me Death.”

  23. Climate protesters: If you want to save the planet, you should support capitalism not socialism
    by Jason Pye

Employees in the D.C. area experienced an even worse-than-normal commute on Monday. No, the Metro wasn’t on fire again: Climate change protesters brought traffic to a virtual standstill in busy intersections around the city by physically blocking roads. Apparently they think you stop climate change by making cars sit idle in traffic for hours.

Notably, at least some of the protesters made anti-capitalism a key theme of their protests. In fact, one group of protesters prominently displayed a banner that read: “Capitalism is killing the planet.” As Ken Cuccinelli, who saw the banner from his office, rightly noted: “[W]hat [the protesters] are really against is capitalism and freedom.”

  24. Even the illegals are fleeing California

[Ed. – They know a bad deal when they see one. Why get stuck in public housing in South L.A. when you can have half an acre and a 3-bed stucco ranch in Texas or New Mexico, if you keep your head down?]

ven the illegals are fleeing California — and half the state’s voters want out, too
    By Monica Showalter

California, whose new leftist governor, Gavin Newsom, has big ambitions to be the counter-president for now, and eventually replace President Trump, has this one little problem that always comes of socialist rule: the locals are fleeing.

Now it turns out half the ones who haven’t fled are thinking about it.

Just over half of California’s registered vote[rs] have considered leaving the state, with soaring housing costs cited as the most common reason for wanting to move, according to a new poll.

Young voters were especially likely to cite unaffordable housing as a reason for leaving, according to the latest latest [sic] UC Berkeley Institute of Governmental Studies poll conducted for the Los Angeles Times. But a different group, conservatives, also frequently suggested they wanted to leave — and for a very different reason: They feel alienated from the state’s political culture.M.blockquote>

That just-over-half figure cited by the Los Angeles Times is actually 54%, broken down by 40% Republican and 14% Democrat voters. They want out and are dreaming of new lives in states where jobs are forming and housing isn’t just for billionaires. Walk around any place in California and recognize that half the people you meet are people who want the hell out.

    • According to the article 54% of the voters want to leave Calfornia, 40% Republican and 14% Democrat. If their host states can stop the illegals from voting they will make the Blue states more Republican not less. The Dem Propagandists are saying that the people who are moving to the Blue states are all Dems. Once again the facts show that you can’t trust what the Dems are saying.
