Daily Links Post graphic

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

In the UK it is George Orwell’s “Animal Farm” come true

Roast beef, steak and burgers will soon be a fading memory in the British universities.

Goldsmiths, University of London, announced that it will ban red meat food from its restaurants and cafeterias to help in fighting climate change. Cows, it seems, with their gas emissions, contribute to CO2.

The new green authoritarianism is joined by the prestigious University of Cambridge, which in addition to beef has decided to also ban lamb.

What we are seeing is ideological conformism obtained through the obedience of students and the population to extremist ecological diktats.…

But the Nanny State in the universities does not only have culinary prescriptions (at the University of Leeds they eliminated the “unethical” products of Nestlé). Universities also claim to impart cultural prescriptions.

Cambridge is at the center of an ideological war…

  2. Hoax Alert: Migrant Children Forced to Fake Apathy for Asylum in Sweden, Journalist Reveals (sputniknews, Sep 24. 2019)
    https://sputniknews.com/europe/201909241076875077-hoax-alert-migrant-children-forced-to-fake-apathy-for-asylum-in-sweden-journalist-reveals/

“So far, the phenomenon of “apathetic” refugee children has been documented almost exclusively in Sweden. There, hundreds of children with so-called “resignation syndrome” were broadly used as an argument for a more lenient asylum policy.

At least some of the so-called apathetic refugee children, who mysteriously fell ill when their families were denied asylum in Sweden, were forced to play sick to get their families a residence permit, a journalist investigation has revealed.

A Serbian man and an Armenian woman have shared their traumatic experiences of being forced to fake apathy by their parents in order to obtain a residence permit to the magazine Filter, describing them as “hell”.

“I wasn’t allowed to open my eyes. But since I couldn’t always keep them shut, I got a hard slap in the neck,” the man acknowledged.

By his own admission, he was forced to sit in a wheelchair, was not given enough food, and wasn’t allowed to meet friends. Also, his parents lied that he had epileptic seizures.

“I prayed to God someone would say to my dad: ‘What are you doing, your kid is healthy?’. They were trained doctors, they should have noticed. But no one said anything,” the man recalled.

At the age of twelve, he attempted suicide, but survived. Today, he left his family and was granted a residence permit in 2015.

The Armenian woman related a similar story. In the fall of 2009, when she was ten years old, her father and stepmother decided that she would act apathetic. She was taken out of school and slapped with a number of rules: don’t talk, don’t smile, never go out alone, don’t respond to anything.

“I remember my stepmother would cook, and the food smell was all over the place, but I couldn’t eat. Sometimes I could sneak up and grab a piece of bread or something, because I was so hungry,” the woman tells Filter.

The purpose of the whole thing was to get a residence permit, but after a year, the father became so afraid of being exposed that the girl had to get “healthy” again. She was later placed in a family home and has now been granted a residence permit of her own.

The phenomenon of apathetic children, also known as “depressive de-vitalisation”. has been documented almost exclusively in Sweden, sparking a medical and political debate that divided pundits and laymen alike. While some claimed that the children were indeed sick, others suggested they were merely a chip in the asylum game and were manipulated into playing apathetic.

The first such case was registered in 1998 and featured a 15-year-old Chechen boy, who neither ate nor talked and had stopped walking. However, four weeks after his family was granted a residence permit, he was fully healthy again.

A 2005 state investigation described kids at the refugee medical unit in Gällivare voluntarily stopping eating and drinking out of hope that it would help their family stay in Sweden.

The same year, the National Board of Social Services issued the following instruction: “Although there is no consensus on how common manipulative behaviour is, it is important that those responsible for care for asylum seekers always take this opportunity into account.”

Still, many professionals, including psychiatrist Lars Joelsson, who took care of the Chechen boy who became the first ever “apathetic refugee child”, maintain that people should be open to all explanations. He described several patients as “genuinely sick and traumatised”.

Although the debate has waned somewhat in recent years, several hundred children have been treated for apathy in recent years alone.”

  3. Daesh Terrorist Brags About Receiving Medical Treatment in Sweden Before Returning to Syria (sputniknews, Sep 24, 2019)
    https://sputniknews.com/middleeast/201909241076875284-daesh-terrorist-brags-about-receiving-medical-treatment-in-sweden-before-returning-to-syria/

“By the terrorist’s own admission, upon his temporary return “home”, he was greeted and given a lift by none other than the Swedish Security Police: SÄPO. Still, this didn’t save him from Kurdish prison in Syria.

Swedish Daesh* terrorist and former resident of Gothenburg Khaled Shahadeh has claimed he received medical treatment from the Swedish state after being wounded in a clash with the Syrian army in 2014.

By his own admission, he was badly wounded and could hardly move his arm. As Daesh’s own healthcare was lacking and the option of buying private healthcare in Turkey also a dubious prospect, he returned “home” for treatment.

“They fixed the nerves. I recovered. Got married and returned here with my wife”, 29-year-old Shahadeh said in a unique interview from inside Kurdish prison made by Kurdish media company ReProduction and published by the Swedish daily Expressen.

According to Shahadeh, at the airport he was met by staff from Security Police SÄPO.

“They were a little worried about why I returned to Sweden,” Shahadeh said, claiming that they gave him a lift from the airport. “They immediately started asking questions about why I returned and what I would do in Sweden. They made it clear from the start that I had not done anything that violated the law. They said there was no law that says I should not join al-Dawla or do jihad,” Sahadeh claimed.

In 2015, Shahadeh returned to Daesh in Syria. Admittedly, he saw mass executions of prisoners.

“Some prisoners were executed, others had their heads cut off. It’s the worst thing I’ve ever seen with my own eyes,” he said.

Shahadeh remained with Daesh until the final fight in Baghouz in the spring of 2019, when he fled and ended up in Kurdish captivity.

Now he is pinning his hopes on the Swedish state again.

“I want to ask for all the people forgiveness, not just my family. If Sweden wants to help us, let them help do it. We are grateful if Sweden helps us out of here,” Shahadeh concluded.

Khaled Shahadeh had lived in Gothenburg all his life and had a stint at Volvo before joining the jihad.

Sweden directly contributed to the jihadist cause with about 300 individuals, yielding among the highest percentages per capita in Europe. The Scandinavian country is notoriously lax with dozens of its “returnees”, as almost none of them have faced prosecution for crimes committed in the Middle East.

  4. Prime Suspect in Knife Murder of French Pro-Migrant Activist is Migrant (breitbart, Sep 24, 2019)
    https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2019/09/24/france-migrant-suspected-murder-pro-migrant-activist/

“Police in the no-go suburbs of Paris are on the hunt for a migrant believed to be a suspect in the murder of a French pro-migrant activist and medical intern.

Audrey Coignard, 27, died on Monday September 16th after being stabbed a dozen times in her home in the commune of Saint-Ouen, part of the heavily migrant populated and crime-ridden Paris suburb of Seine-Saint-Denis, France 3 reports.

An intern at the Jean Verdier Hospital in Bondy, Ms Coignard was also a member of the Movement of the Caen Youth while she was studying medicine at Caen University, the young woman having demonstrated against the expulsions of migrants from France.

According to reports, investigators are currently searching for Coignard’s ex-boyfriend, believing him to be a possible suspect in the case.

French newspaper Le Parisien has claimed that one of the suspects, possibly the same man, regularly stayed in the medical intern’s house and some of his belongings were also found there following the murder.

A witness described the man as “of foreign origin in his thirties”, with the woman adding that she had seen him before in a “bad state” singing to himself.

Neighbours of the victim say that they never heard shouting between Coignard and the suspect saying the only time the residence was loud was when he had friends over and she was often not there during those times.

The case is just the latest in which a migrant is suspected of murdering a Frenchwoman this year.

In June, a Pakistani man was arrested after the body of a 23-year-old student was discovered in the trunk of her own car in the commune of Valenton a month prior. The victim had been suffocated to death, according to investigators.

A month later, a Syrian migrant was taken into police custody in connection with the death of 24-year-old young mother Johanna Blanes who was found dead in a small pedestrian tunnel.

A source close to the investigation indicated that the 24-year-old, who had a slight mental disability, was also raped during the incident.”

  5. 500 Scientists Write U.N.: ‘There Is No Climate Emergency’ (breitbart, Sep 24, 2019)
    https://www.breitbart.com/environment/2019/09/24/500-scientists-write-u-n-there-is-no-climate-emergency/

“More than 500 scientists and professionals in climate and related fields have sent a “European Climate Declaration” to the Secretary-General of the United Nations asking for a long-overdue, high-level, open debate on climate change.

Just as 16-year-old Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg addressed the U.N. Climate Action Summit in New York accusing world leaders of robbing her of her future, scientists were begging the United Nations to keep hysteria from obscuring facts.

“Climate science should be less political, while climate policies should be more scientific,” the declaration states. “Scientists should openly address the uncertainties and exaggerations in their predictions of global warming, while politicians should dispassionately count the real benefits as well as the imagined costs of adaptation to global warming, and the real costs as well as the imagined benefits of mitigation.”

The scientists underscored the importance of not rushing into enormously expensive climate action before fully ascertaining the facts.

“There is no statistical evidence that global warming is intensifying hurricanes, floods, droughts and suchlike natural disasters, or making them more frequent,” they declared. “However, CO2-mitigation measures are as damaging as they are costly. For instance, wind turbines kill birds and bats, and palm-oil plantations destroy the biodiversity of the rainforests.”

The signatories of the declaration also insist that public policy must respect scientific and economic realities and not just reflect the most fashionable frenzy of the day.

“There is no climate emergency. Therefore, there is no cause for panic and alarm,” they note. “We strongly oppose the harmful and unrealistic net-zero CO2 policy proposed for 2050.”

“If better approaches emerge, and they certainly will, we have ample time to reflect and adapt. The aim of international policy should be to provide reliable and affordable energy at all times, and throughout the world,” they state.

In particular, the scientists criticize the general-circulation models of climate on which international policy is currently founded as “unfit for their purpose.”

“Therefore, it is cruel as well as imprudent to advocate the squandering of trillions on the basis of results from such immature models,” they propose. “Current climate policies pointlessly, grievously undermine the economic system, putting lives at risk in countries denied access to affordable, continuous electrical power.”

“We urge you to follow a climate policy based on sound science, realistic economics and genuine concern for those harmed by costly but unnecessary attempts at mitigation,” they declare.”

  6. Yemeni tribal leaders say Saudi-led airstrikes kills 11 (abcnews, Sep 24, 2019)
    https://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/yemeni-tribal-leaders-saudi-led-airstrikes-kills-11-65818357

“Yemeni tribal leaders say airstrikes by the Saudi-led coalition have killed at least 11 civilians including children, when they hit a residential building in southern Dhale province.

They say the airstrikes earlier on Tuesday in the district of Qataba also wounded at least five other people.

The Houthi-run al-Masirah satellite TV has put the death toll at 16 including seven children and four women.

The tribal leaders spoke on condition of anonymity for fear of reprisals. There was no immediate comment from the coalition.

The Houthis said another Saudi-led coalition airstrike killed at least seven people including children on Monday in the northwestern Amran province.

The Saudi-led coalition has been battling the Houthi rebels since 2015 in a war that has killed tens of thousands of people.”

  7. Pakistan Warns India of ‘Consequences’ as New Delhi Hints at Potential Cross-Border ‘Anti-Terror Op’ (sputniknews, Sep 24, 2019)
    https://sputniknews.com/military/201909241076877672-pakistan-warns-india-of-consequences-as-new-delhi-hints-at-potential-cross-border-anti-terror-op/

“The Indian Army on 23 September indicated the likelihood of a new cross-border anti-terror operation. Pakistan said the statement was “irresponsible” and warned of “serious consequences” to any such action.

The media wing of the Pakistan Armed Forces, ISPR, claimed on Tuesday that India is trying to divert world’s attention away from the situation of Kashmir, which was stripped of its special status in August.

“Accusations of infiltration/presence of alleged terrorists camps are pretext for a false flag operation/misadventure which if tried shall have serious consequences for regional peace Pak Armed Forces are fully prepared to respond to any aggression/misadventure regardless of cost,” it said.

Indian army chief General Bipin Rawat on Monday claimed Pakistan had reactivated a terror camp in the Balakot area of that country’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, and that around 500 terrorists have been positioned to infiltrate the border to spread violence in India.

Pakistan’s military said Indian military commanders were expressing their “frustration due to their failure to handle the situation” in Kashmir.

In the past few weeks, Indian authorities and military officers have accused Pakistan of reactivating the terror camp in retaliation for India’s decision to scrap the special status of Jammu and Kashmir on 5 August.

Tension between the two nuclear-armed nations escalated after India carried out an aerial strike at Balakot inside Pakistan in February to destroy alleged terror infrastructure operated by the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terror group. The move was to avenge the killing of 40 Indian security personnel in a suicide bombing attack claimed by JeM terrorist on 14 February.

On 27 February, Pakistan retaliated to India’s strike and reportedly shot down an Indian fighter jet in a dogfight while an F-16 operated by the Pakistan Air Force was also shot down, according to the IAF.

The tension resurfaced in the first week of the August after New Delhi revoked Jammu and Kashmir’s special status. Reacting to India’s move on Kashmir, Pakistan downgraded diplomatic ties with New Delhi and expelled the Indian high commissioner.”

  8. Saudi Arabia Calls on Int’l Community to ‘Limit’ Iran’s Hostile Behavior (aawsat, Sep 24, 2019)

“The Saudi cabinet reiterated on Tuesday the Kingdom’s assertion that Iranian weapons were used in the attack against Saudi Aramco’s Abqaiq and Khurais oil facilities on September 14.

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz chaired the cabinet meeting that was held in Jeddah.

The cabinet said the international community has a major responsibility in “limiting Iran’s hostile behavior and policies.”

The attack against the oil facilities is a threat to regional and international peace and security and is an “unjustified attack against global energy supplies.”

The ministers stressed that Saudi Arabia decided to join the international coalition aimed at protecting marine navigation and shipping lanes to support regional and international efforts to deter and confront threats to global trade and secure global energy supplies.

King Salman briefed the ministers on the discussions he held on Monday with Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He also briefed them on the telephone call last week with China’s Xi Jinping and meeting with Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan.

King Salman thanked the officials for condemning the oil facilities attack.

Moreover, the cabinet congratulated King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister, on the major accomplishment of restoring oil supplies from the Kingdom to the levels they were prior to the attack.

It hailed the massive efforts exerted by Aramco to overcome the attack, praising it for its quick response to the emergency and the dedication of its employees.

On the occasion of the Kingdom’s 89th national day, King Salman told the cabinet that the Kingdom is proud with the unity of its territory. He cited the efforts of founder King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman al-Saud in uniting the Kingdom, adding that the unity has persisted due to the solidarity of its people.”

  9. Sweden Sees Rise in Chain Migration from Iraq and Syria (breitbart, Sep 24, 2019)
    https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2019/09/24/sweden-sees-rise-chain-migration-iraq-syria/

“Sweden is currently experiencing a surge in labour migration from outside the European Union but in the cases of Iraqis and Syrians, family reunification migration is rising even higher.

In 2018, Sweden saw 15,400 individuals receive residency as part of family reunification, a number up from just 3,600 in 2009. As the number of family reunification migrants has risen, so too has its proportion compared to overall labour migration, newspaper Norrländska Socialdemokraten reports.

A decade ago, family reunification made up around 17 per cent of work residency permits granted by the government but that number has risen to 42 per cent.

Helena Carlestam, an external analyst at the Swedish Migration Board, commented on the increase saying: “There has been a high proportion of relatives arriving in recent years. The regulations say that you have the right to bring your relatives and we can only follow it. This is in line with the legislature’s intentions, which was to open up a generous framework for labour immigration.”

Some countries have even seen more family reunification permits granted to their nationals than work permits. Since 2014, Iraqi migrants were granted 2,200 work permits and 5,500 permits for family members to join them.

The figures are similar to Syrian migrants in which 1,500 work permits were issued compared to 3,900 residency permits for family members.

“If you have a need to have a better life and have an opportunity to also apply for a work permit as an alternative, then it is clear that there will be a way into Sweden,” Carlestam said after being asked if labour migration could actually be a hidden form of asylum migration.

According to Malmö University researcher Henrik Emilsson, many of the migrants working in Sweden do not make enough to support their relatives who come over, leading to the Swedish state having to step in to cover their living costs.

“The income that many have does not cover the cost of families coming,” he said and added: “You usually have labour immigration to make it a win-win situation. Here we have rather a win for the individual, and perhaps for the company, but a loss for society.”

Several Swedish municipalities have sounded alarms over the cost of migrants, with some even claiming it could lead to the bankruptcy of their local government.”

Ukraine has evidence their government colluded with the Clinton campaign
By Jeff Dunetz September 23, 2019While the Democrats and the lapdog media has been spending their time making up Trump Administration scandals, they’ve been ignoring the real political scandals coming out of Ukraine. Along with the Hunter/Joe Biden scandal that’s dominating this news cycle, the MSM and the Democrats are ignoring the Hillary Clinton campaign’s collusion with the government of Ukraine to destroy Trump’s candidacy, which ended up costing then-campaign manager Paul Manafort his job.

  13. Malmö Shooting Suspects Overwhelmingly from Migrant Backgrounds (breitbart, Sep 24, 2019)
    https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2019/09/24/malmo-shooting-suspects-overwhelmingly-migrant-backgrounds/

“The majority of the suspects in shootings in the city of Malmö come from migration backgrounds, according to a report from Swedish media.

The report, conducted by newspaper Sydsvenskan, examined 20 young men aged between 20 and 28 years old who have been suspected of having shot someone personally, having planned a shooting, or simply participated in a fatal shooting in another capacity between 2015 and 2019, Swedish newspaper Expressen reports.

In total, the 20 men have been convicted for 180 different crimes between them from simple robberies all the way to murder.

The majority of the men, 14 of 20, were born in Sweden to parents who had migrated to the country from Africa, the Middle East, or elsewhere, and 17 are said to have Swedish citizenship. All but two of them lived in so-called “vulnerable areas” often referred to as no-go zones.

For among half of the 20 men, their parents had also been convicted of various crimes including smuggling and drug crimes pointing to an intergenerational trend, although others came from more affluent economic backgrounds.

Some of the men began their careers in crime as young as 1o years old, according to the report, but none of the various state programmes offered to help them get out of the criminal underworld had worked, with social services claiming their resources have been “exhausted”.

Two of the men have also died as a result of being shot themselves, while four others were shot but survived the attacks.

The new report matches similar statistics from an investigation released by broadcaster SVT last year that showed migrant-background men made up the vast majority of convicted rapists.

Previously, whistleblowers such as police officer Peter Springare were met with heavy criticism for suggesting that migrants and those from migrant-backgrounds were behind the vast majority of serious crime in the country.

In 2017, Springare was investigated for incitement to racial hatred for his remarks, although the charges were later dropped.”

  14. Greta Thunberg helpfully exhorts UN climate summit: ‘How dare you! You are failing us. We will never forgive you’

No, it’s not about the Nobel prize. It’s about making “everyone there ashamed of themselves.”

It’s about trying to soften everyone up with imputed shame, so that we’ll all become hopelessly defensive and manipulable. It’s about ruling our fellow men that way.

It’s horrifying to see children used as a weapon for this enterprise. No one owes anybody anything on this basis, and no one ever will. What an awful lie to feed to children: that living by accusation and eternally sworn unforgiveness is the summit of virtue. That’s teaching children to destroy themselves.

No wonder it produces nothing but the tweeted video vignettes below. There’s a transcript of Greta Thunberg’s address here, if you need it.

At a certain point, you have to cut line and speak the truth: there is no common ground with cult insanity. There is no obligation to “compromise” with this – there’s no basis for compromise!

None of it is young Greta Thunberg’s fault. She’s an overmanipulated child (who reportedly has Asperger’s and an anxiety disorder). But one thing is crystal clear: this isn’t “science.”

  15. Malta: Five EU states agree to temporary migrant redistribution plan

Five European Union Interior Ministers meeting in the Maltese town of Birgu agreed to a temporary redistribution plan for migrants rescued in the central Mediterranean Sea on Monday.

Footage shows the Interior Ministers of Malta, Italy, Germany, France and Finland – currently holding the rotating EU presidency – meeting in Birgu, where they reportedly agreed on a plan until at least October 8.

Interior ministers of all EU countries will meet on October 8 to consider expanding the arrangement.

“It is very important what happened today, as it was a first action, an agreement, a first step toward an approach of genuine European common action,” said Italian Interior Minister Luciana Lamorgese.

“The number of the refugees to be taken in will be discussed and decided on 8 October in Luxembourg, because the number depends on the number of member states who will join the agreement,” said German Interior Minister Horst Seehofer.

“We have started to make history. Now it will depend on whether we get the support of all the other countries, or most of the other countries, by accepting this paper, by accepting and participating in disembarkation,” said Maltese Interior Minister Michael Farrugia.

  16. CBS News goes inside Syrian refugee camp filled with ISIS supporters

Al-Hol, Syria — A sprawling refugee camp in northeast Syria is described as a breeding ground for ISIS and a ticking time bomb. A few hundred U.S. allies guard the Al-Hol camp, where the strict laws of ISIS are followed.

The guards call the Syrian refugee camp the “Islamic State” because while they control the fence, inside, they said, ISIS is in charge. Ten thousand foreigners live there. They are wives and children of accused ISIS fighters. The men are mostly dead or in prison.

CBS News went inside and met women who wouldn’t say where they come from, but sound British, and they defended ISIS terror attacks in Europe and the U.S.

“This is ISIS ideology, an eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth. That’s what it is,” one woman said.

When there’s violence here, and there have apparently been several murders, it’s almost impossible to find the perpetrators, because all of the women are covered.

In an ISIS propaganda video, women send a message from the camp. We’re a ticking bomb, one says, just you wait and see. In another video, young boys chant that they’ll crush the heads of non-believers.

There are no real schools there, but one guard said the entire camp is effectively an ISIS academy.

Many women said they’re repentant. A pair from France and Belgium said they want to go home if their governments will have them, and said ISIS hardliners have threatened to burn their tents down at night.

But CBS News met women who don’t want to go home. They came to the camp to live under Islamic law.

“We are in favor of what Alah sends upon us. If he says an adulterer should be stoned, then it’s said and I have to accept it. That’s it,” one woman said.

ISIS may have been defeated on the battlefield, but it still commands the hearts and minds of its followers.

  17. ASPERGER SYNDROME & SPLITTING
Splitting is a term used in psychology and describes the inability of a person to hold opposing thoughts, feelings, or beliefs. Splitting is most often seen when a person sees or views the world in terms of ‘black and white ‘all or nothing. Splitting is known as a distorted way of thinking in which the person can only think in positive or negative attributes of a person or event and this Type of thinking is not measured, cohesive or rational. Those who engage in splitting typically view people, events, or even themselves in all or nothing, Black or White terms of thinking. The self-destructive behaviours come from a person who ‘splits’ because they typically frame people or events in terms that are absolute with no middle ground for discussion. The black-and-white all nothing thinking can be seen in people who view science, history, or news is either a “complete fact” or a “complete lie”. There is no middle ground. this pervasive style of thinking is damaging to others and the person doing the splitting. People who engage in splitting are reported to be observed as being overly dramatic or overwrought, especially when declaring things have either “completely fallen apart” or “completely turned around”. Remember they think in extremes. There is no grey or shades of grey. People who split have also been described as having behaviours such as acting out, without consideration or consequences. Presenting the person with alternate evidence and information does not appear to work presenting the person with alternate evidence and information does not appear to work. For example, presented them with evidence that proves otherwise they Are unable and or unwillingness to take a flexible point of you. They appear to be unable to take in the new information… At times even when given the proof, they will deny and consciously ignore the facts of reality. Their mode of communication exists of passive-aggression and an indirect expression of hostility. They are well known for projection which is assigning an undesirable emotion to someone else that they themselves have or do. They are well known for using omnipotence, the belief that a certain person possesses superiority in intelligence or power. 19. The Left Fears A Tucker Carlson Presidential Campaign

New York Times opinion columnist Farhad Manjoo claims Tucker Carlson could the future of right-wing populism in America.

It’s hard to imagine a national political figure that could possibly derange the progressive left more than Donald J. Trump. But New York Times writer Farhad Manjoo already has done exactly that, admitting in a Times opinion piece that populist commentator and Fox News primetime host Tucker Carlson would in fact be “worse” than Trump as President.

According to Manjoo, Carlson would be poised to deliver on the economic, nationalist populism most prominently proposed in Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign and frequently featured on Tucker’s primetime Fox News show.

Majoo admits that Carlson’s pro-American platform would have a broad appeal across diverse elements of American society, reaching out to the great portions of Americans whose livelihoods are threatened by the conglomeration of wealth on the coasts by massive, soulless, and delusional San Francisco tech companies such as Facebook, Google, Apple and Microsoft. He would be poised to offer policy solutions to offset the effects of automation in an era where most conventional conservatives simply don’t care to think outside the box in order to solve one of the most pervasive problems facing American society.

  20. RADICAL AGENDA: ‘Youth Climate Strike’ Founder is Ilhan Omar’s 16-Year-Old Daughter

Omar’s 16-year-old daughter, Isra Hirsi, co-founded the U.S. chapter of the Youth Climate Strike.

The Youth Climate Strike made its mark on Friday, Sept. 20 when 150 countries participated in the organization’s largest mass protest to date. Estimates have placed up to 4 million people joining the cause in a powerful showing of solidarity that has placed serious momentum behind globalism and carbon taxes.

The movement’s chapter in the United States was co-founded in Jan. 2019 by Isra Hirsi, the 16-year-old daughter of Somalian-born Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), to encourage students to skip school and cause a public scene to fight climate change.

  21. House Dems Plot to Use IRS to Suppress Conservatives

Farrakhan fans want to fight “hate.”

“It is important for us to consider how our policies can help reduce hate and violence through any vehicle,” Rep. Danny K. Davis insisted. “Any mechanism, any apparatus, any way that we possibly can.”

The mechanism and apparatus being considered was unconstitutional viewpoint discrimination.

The Oversight Subcommittee of the House Ways and Means Committee was holding a hearing on How the Tax Code Subsidizes Hate. Its theme was removing tax-exempt status from groups it didn’t like.

The Democrats running it didn’t issue a full list of allegedly discriminatory groups they wanted the government to discriminate against, but the Committee’s Twitter list of ‘hate groups’ seem to overlap with a list assembled by the Southern Poverty Law Center and curated by Philanthropy Magazine.

The Southern Poverty Law Center’s leadership was recently forced to resign over racism and sexual harassment. Its hate map had inspired a terrorist attack against the Family Research Council in D.C. In the same city where the hearing was taking place, Floyd Corkins had shot Leo Johnson, the African-American building manager, while trying to murder members of the conservative civil rights group.

  22. The Hill’s John Solomon reported an incident that took place several weeks ago at bipartisan meeting between U.S. officials and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held in Kiev. During this meeting, Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) apparently sent a very clear message to Zelensky. And, borrowing a page from Joe Biden, he actually boasted about his audacity afterward.

Following the meeting, Murphy spoke to reporters. He said he pointed out to Zelensky that Ukraine currently enjoyed bipartisan support for its U.S. aid but wouldn’t it be a shame if something were to happen to it but if he chose to “investigate past corruption allegations involving Americans, including former Vice President Joe Biden’s family,” he runs the risk of losing Democratic support going forward.

Murphy reportedly told Zelensky that U.S. aid was Ukraine’s “most important asset” and if he were to comply with Trump’s request, it would be “disastrous for long-term U.S.-Ukraine relations.”

Solomon spoke to Murphy on Monday and he said, “I told Zelensky that he should not insert himself or his government into American politics. I cautioned him that complying with the demands of the President’s campaign representatives to investigate a political rival of the President would gravely damage the U.S.-Ukraine relationship. There are few things that Republicans and Democrats agree on in Washington these days, and support for Ukraine is one of them.”

Did You Know the Greatest Two-Year Global Cooling Event Just Took Place?
    By Aaron Brown
    April 24, 2018
Would it surprise you to learn the greatest global two-year cooling event of the last century just occurred? From February 2016 to February 2018 (the latest month available) global average temperatures dropped 0.56°C. You have to go back to 1982-84 for the next biggest two-year drop, 0.47°C—also during the global warming era. All the data in this essay come from GISTEMP Team, 2018: GISS Surface Temperature Analysis (GISTEMP). NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies (dataset accessed 2018-04-11 at https://data.giss.nasa.gov/gistemp/). This is the standard source used in most journalistic reporting of global average temperatures.

The 2016-18 Big Chill was composed of two Little Chills, the biggest five month drop ever (February to June 2016) and the fourth biggest (February to June 2017). A similar event from February to June 2018 would bring global average temperatures below the 1980s average. February 2018 was colder than February 1998. If someone is tempted to argue that the reason for recent record cooling periods is that global temperatures are getting more volatile, it’s not true. The volatility of monthly global average temperatures since 2000 is only two-thirds what it was from 1880 to 1999.

  24. The leaders of New Zealand and France are backing a watchdog organization aimed at keeping internet platforms from being used by extremists — and preparing speedy responses to future attacks.

New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said Monday the Global Forum to Counter Terrorism, which was established in 2017 by Facebook, Microsoft, Twitter and YouTube after terrorist attacks with internet links, is being turned into an independent organization.

The new organization is limited to companies operating internet platforms and services and will be led by an executive director selected by its governing industry-linked Operating Board, Ardern said. An Independent Advisory Committee with a majority of members from civil society and a minority from government and inter-governmental organizations will guide the Operating Board.

Ardern said establishing an independent organization marked “a real sea change to respond to the serious and difficult issue” of extremists who have recruited supporters and streamed attacks online.

The killings of 51 people at two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand, on March 15 were broadcast live on Facebook, drawing outrage and fueling debate on how to better regulate social media.

  26. Ukraine whistleblower’s lawyers work for group that offers to pay officials who leak against Trump

The anonymous U.S. intelligence official accusing President Trump of improperly pressuring Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden is represented by two lawyers who run a group that offers financial help to fired whistleblowers.

Whistleblower Aid was launched in September 2017 — eight months after Trump’s inauguration — with an advertising blitz that involved mobile billboards being driven close to the White House, Congress, outside the Pentagon, and around the headquarters of the CIA and National Security Agency (NSA).

The group’s pledge of support, in addition to free legal representation including rent and mortgage assistance, media coaching, and doctor’s bills and counseling, is controversial among lawyers. Critics say it violates attorney ethics.

Whistleblower Aid was founded by veteran national security defense attorney Mark Zaid and John Tye, a whistleblower who worked to promote Internet freedom at the State Department before warning of mass surveillance during the Obama administration. Andrew Bakaj, a former CIA officer who is associated with Zaid’s firm, is also a lawyer for Whistleblower Aid.

  27. Church leaders urge government to ban pointed kitchen knives
    Sun 22 Sep 2019
    By Tola Mbakwe
Church leaders in the Diocese of Rochester have called for the government to enforce stricter rules on the sale of domestic knives.

They’ve written an open letter asking for a ban on the sale of pointed kitchen knives. The letter was also signed by leading crime experts, as well as MPs, and community leaders.

It comes after a conference called The Point in Chatham last week raised awareness of the issue, as statistics show that there has been an 80 per cent rise in knife crime in the UK since 2014.

The signatories have urged Government to “take urgent measures to promote the sale of safe kitchen knife designs and restrict those designs which have been used in so many acts of violence.”

The letter endorses research, highlighted at the conference, which explains that points on domestic knives are historic and no-longer necessary.

  28. A Senate Judiciary Committee report revealed that New York Times reporter Robin Pogrebin coached sources on what to say and how to respond to her questions based on information she obtained, The Federalist reported. Her motive was to shape a false narrative against now-sitting Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh and allegations of sexual misconduct. Pogrebin is one of the co-authors of the anti-Kavanaugh book whose chapter was featured in the New York Times last week.

The newspaper was forced to issue a correction for failing to include exculpatory evidence about the accuser. Earlier this week, Pogrebin said Kavanaugh wanted her to lie about what took place.

Pogrebin, who went to Yale, used her connections to call up old classmates to get dirt on Kavanaugh. The problem, however, is she never revealed that she worked for the Times. Pogrebin and her co-author, Kate Kelly, have made it sound as though these revelations were a result of an “object investigation” into Kavanaugh.
