SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — FBI agents carried materials in bankers’ boxes and grocery bags out of the Illinois Capitol building on Tuesday, and multiple media outlets reported that and other raids were linked to a Democratic state senator.
FBI spokesman John Althen said the agents were in the building for “law enforcement activity” but declined to elaborate.
Multiple media outlets reported that the raids were conducted at Sen. Martin Sandoval’s Capitol office in Springfield, his district office in the Chicago suburb of Cicero and other locations linked to him. The Chicago Tribune reported that a man who answered the door at Sandoval’s Chicago home said he was not home.
The suite door to Sandoval’s office would not open when an Associated Press reporter tried to enter at around the time the raid was taking place. Attempts to reach Sandoval by phone were unsuccessful.

Iran, who just last week was defiantly proclaiming they wouldn’t move an inch under Trump’s sanctions pressure, is now saying they’ll offer amendments and concessions on the Iran nuclear deal for relief.
Iran’s economy has been in shambles and their people are growing more and more restless. Last year, we saw widespread protests on the matter and the anti-America rhetoric of the Mullahs is having less of an impact in galvanizing domestic support.
As to how President Trump should respond to this? My opinion is he should laugh in their face. They had their chance to negotiate and save their regime. Let them collapse. It’s not like they can be trusted to hold to any new re-writing of the nuclear deal anyway.

Nadler’s Workaround – Pelosi’s Upcoming Impeachment Vote – Trump’s Response…

For the past several weeks House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler has been trying to get the grand jury transcripts from the Mueller investigation in order to further advance his political goal of a presidential impeachment.
However, Nadler has been stymied because the official -legal- House impeachment process has not been followed. A DC district court judge knocked down Nadler’s attempts.
The full House of Representatives has never voted to impeach the president, which would be the first step that authorizes Nadler to begin an “impeachment inquiry.” Nadler needs that authorization in order to gain legal authority and access to Mueller’s investigative evidence that underpins the highly political Mueller report as it relates to obstruction.
Keep in mind… The Weissmann/Mueller and overall special counsel team investigative effort was always designed to construct the obstruction case. A minimal amount of time was spent on Trump-Russia collusion, because it did not exist. The primary team effort was to assemble evidence that could give the impression of Trump-Obstruction; according to their map, that obstruction angle would ultimately lead to impeachment.
It does not seem accidental that Chairman Nadler was rebuked by the DC judge in mid-August; and then subsequently Adam Schiff steps forth with a mysterious “whistleblower” report and a fake Trump-Ukraine narrative surfaces.

A highly qualified and experienced climate modeler with impeccable credentials has rejected the unscientific bases of the doom-mongering over a purported climate crisis. His work has not yet been picked up in this country, but that is about to change. Writing at the Australian site Quadrant, Tony Thomas introduces the English-speaking world to the truth-telling of Dr. Mototaka Nakamura (hat tip: Andrew Bolt, John McMahon).
There’s a top-level oceanographer and meteorologist who is prepared to cry “Nonsense!”on the “global warming crisis” evident to climate modellers but not in the real world. He’s as well or better qualified than the modellers he criticises — the ones whose Year 2100 forebodings of 4degC warming have set the world to spending $US1.5 trillion a year to combat CO2 emissions.
The iconoclast is Dr. Mototaka Nakamura. In June he put out a small book in Japanese on “the sorry state of climate science”. It’s titled Confessions of a climate scientist: the global warming hypothesis is an unproven hypothesis, and he is very much qualified to take a stand. From 1990 to 2014 he worked on cloud dynamics and forces mixing atmospheric and ocean flows on medium to planetary scales. His bases were MIT (for a Doctor of Science in meteorology), Georgia Institute of Technology, Goddard Space Flight Centre, Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Duke and Hawaii Universities and the Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology. Today’s vast panoply of “global warming science” is like an upside down pyramid built on the work of a few score of serious climate modellers. They claim to have demonstrated human-derived CO2 emissions as the cause of recent global warming and project that warming forward. Every orthodox climate researcher takes such output from the modellers’ black boxes as a given.
Dr. Nakamura has just made his work available to the English-speaking world:
There was no English edition of his book in June and only a few bits were translated and circulated. But Dr Nakamura last week offered via a free Kindle version his own version [sic] in English. It’s not a translation but a fresh essay leading back to his original conclusions.

Iran: Top cleric says Tehran must not surrender to US ‘maximum pressure’
A top Iranian cleric warned that Tehran must not surrender to the US policy of ‘maximum pressure’, while addressing a session of the Assembly of Experts in Tehran, on Tuesday.
In his speech, Chairman of Iran’s Assembly of Experts Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati stressed that Iran’s resistance forced Washington to avoid confrontation after the downing of a US drone and the seizure of a UK tanker.
In a reference to the recent Houthi forces attacks on Saudi oil facilities, he said the same approach resulted in disruptions in Saudi Arabia’s economy forcing Riyadh to import oil.
The remarks came after US President Donald Trump imposed new sanctions on the Central Bank of Iran and Iran’s National Development Fund, on Friday.

“The Guardian reported on Tuesday, September 24, that 15 European Union members issued a joint statement to condemn unlawful detention, the alleged use of torture, and unfair trials of activists and journalists in Saudi Arabia.
The statement was presented at a meeting of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva.
The Guardian reported that the meeting was the second of its kind in six months.
The statement also explicitly refers to the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi. The members of the EU have urged Saudi Arabia to reveal the truth behind the murder of the prominent journalist at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul in October 2018.
The signatories of the joint statement include the UK and Germany.
Canada, New Zealand, and Peru also appeared on the list alongside the 15 EU member states.
Australia’s ambassador Sally Mansfield, read out the statement said, “We are concerned at reports of torture, arbitrary detention, enforced disappearances, unfair trials and harassment of individuals engaged in promoting and defending human rights, their families and colleagues.”
Despite the reforms in place under the leadership of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Saudi Arabia continues to face backlash and condemnation over alleged torture and arrest of critics.
Earlier this month, news on Saudi Arabia selling the consulate building where Khashoggi was killed went viral.
An audio transcript, which provided more details about the murder of Khashoggi also went viral.
Turkish news outlet Daily Sabah shared part of a conversation recorded before and during the murder of the journalist.
The conversation documents a conversation between Maher Abdulaziz and Salah Muhammed Al Tubaigy, two people allegedly involved in the killing of Khashoggi.
Next month will mark the first anniversary of Khashoggi’s violent death.”
