Prosecutors say he offered to drive her to school but she refused, so he came back about a minute later
CLEVELAND, Ohio (WKBN) – An off-duty Cleveland police officer is being accused of having sex with and trying to kidnap a 12-year-old girl.
Prosecutors said the girl was waiting for the school bus in Euclid, Ohio on August 16 when 34-year-old Solomon Nhiwatiwa drove past with his car windows rolled down.
They said he asked if she needed a ride to school, but the girl said no and he drove away.
Prosecutors said he came back a minute later, parked his car, walked up to the victim, showed her his genitals and started urinating on her.
According to prosecutors, it looked like he was filming it with his cell phone.

The Uncle of an Italian girl who was raped and murdered by a Nigerian migrant has threatened to show photos of her dismembered body to the Italian parliament if the country’s new government repeals Matteo Salvini’s strict immigration laws.
Following the collapse of Italy’s coalition government, led by populist firebrand Salvini, the 5 star movement is set to form a new coalition with the left of center Partito Democratico (PD).

8. Court orders Idaho to pay for prison inmate’s gender reassignment surgery
The U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled that the state of Idaho must pay for the gender reassignment surgery of an inmate in the Idaho State Correctional Institution.
Adree Edmo, 31, who is incarcerated for having pleaded guilty to sexually abusing a 15-year-old boy at a house party in 2012, was diagnosed with gender dysphoria the same year. Though biologically male, Edmo identifies as a woman, for which reason the prison has been providing hormone therapy for the past seven years.
“Hormone therapy has not completely alleviated Edmo’s gender dysphoria,” the court said, explaining how the presence of Edmo’s male genitalia nevertheless continues to cause distress. “Edmo testified that she feels ‘depressed, embarrassed, [and] disgusted’ by her male genitalia and that this is an ‘everyday reoccurring thought.'” The court then noted how Edmo purchased underwear “to keep, in Edmo’s words, her ‘disgusting penis’ out of sight.”

11. Italy grounds two migrant rescue planes documenting human rights violations
Italy has grounded two planes used to rescue migrant boats in the Mediterranean as the country’s far-right interior minister continues his hard-line stance against migrants.
ENAC has confirmed it has grounded two aircrafts operated by the German NGO Sea-Watch and the French NGO Pilotes Volontaires, Moonbird and Colibri, on the grounds they are approved for recreational not professional use.
Sea-Watch has said the decision is political and in breach of international law.
“One reason our missions are so important, and the reason the European Union tries to stop us by any means necessary, is that it is annoying for them that there are eyes at sea that bring up their human rights violations, that are coming up again and again,” said spokesman Ruben Neugebauer.
The planes document human rights violations by ships who don’t respond to rescue calls and EU deployed aircraft that alert migrant boats are present, which are then sent back to Libya.
