Daily Links Post graphic

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

  1. New Zealand Prime Minister booed, to show public dissent to Marxism.
    https://youtu.be/5HuzE8ez7qg

There was a debate between two self-ordained Church Ministers (narcissists; sub or dom, to say they were Called to submit to God or they were were virtued by God – to claim the higher pecking order as “Reverend” or the divine position of touched-by-God “Apostle”. https://youtu.be/i7JeOxxfSZE

The Reverend’s viewpoint is that all women are lower than men before God. No woman should lead. Period.

Fortunately, the UK had a Margaret Thatcher. Who was the only man in Parliament then and ever since. An inspirer of men. And women. The same spirit.

So this is only an argument regarding the right-brain hemisphered (‘Femaled’) not ever to rule the left-brain (‘maled’). It’s not a gender issue. It’s about people who can think the Narrow way between their two brains. There is no male and female in consciousness. But for the femaled there are xyz genders. Whilst for the maled there is only theirs, and then this thing that was sent to them as an alien companion that was cut out from them: the lesser man.

Scatter-brains or mono-brains. Look-at-me or everything fixed in it’s place.

Femaled therefore occurs in both genders. Disney-fication started on girls and then onto boys. ‘This crazy is your good boss.’

The Apostle: “Change your clothes, and your old self can’t touch you!”. St Paul definitely did not want women taking over His Church. They would be much better at it. As they are today, channelling the “Last Days.”

Maled occurs in both genders. The Reverend and the Zombie who is above him and will let him into His Heaven.

Femaled and the Supermaled femaled. Tied to their right brains in abundance, or in fear and neglect.

    • “Margaret Thatcher. Who was the only man in Parliament..”

She wasn’t drawn to women for an identity to dominate like a muslim, or to serve them like a Socialist, or become a caricature of one like LGBTQ+.

The little girl grew up normal.

The rest are gnashing their teeth.

  2. Malaysia Reportedly Bans Controversial Indian Islamic Preacher Zakir Naik from Giving Speeches (sputniknews, Aug 20, 2019)
    https://sputniknews.com/asia/201908201076589710-malaysia-reportedly-bans-controversial-indian-islamic-preacher-zakir-naik-from-giving-speeches/

“New Delhi (Sputnik): The controversial Indian Islamic preacher Zakir Naik is facing charges of inciting communal hatred and committing unlawful activities in that country. He is also facing charges of inciting terror groups in India and Bangladesh.

Malaysia gave permanent residency to Naik, but his recent hate speeches against Hindus and Chinese nationals in that country, have irked the government of Mahathir Mohamad, which is considering action against the preacher, including deportation.

The move to ban Naik from giving speeches follows his interrogation by police authorities on his hate speeches, reports India Today.

Naik, however, denied the allegations and claimed his speeches were misunderstood. Earlier two ministers had also told the PM that Zakir Naik should no longer be allowed to remain in Malaysia.

Though a Muslim-majority nation, minority Hindus and ethnic Chinese enjoy equal rights in Malaysia.

Zakir Naik is the founder and president of the Islamic Research Foundation and a very popular televangelist in several Islamic countries. He was a trained physician before switching over to religious preaching. Naik’s radical speeches are banned in India, Bangladesh, Canada, and the United Kingdom.

Investigations into a terror attack in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, in July 2016 revealed that the terrorists involved in the brutal killings were influenced by Zakir Naik. The Bangladeshi government subsequently banned his TV channel Peace, because it was not “consistent with Muslim society, the Quran, Sunnah, Hadith, Bangladesh’s Constitution, our culture, customs. and rituals”.

India’s counterterrorism agency, the National Investigation Agency also found his influence on terrorists arrested from Hyderabad and had filed a formal complaint against him and his Mumbai-based organisation, accusing him of indulging in unlawful activities and promoting religious hatred.

New Delhi has made a formal request to Malaysia for the extradition of Zakir Naik, wanted in in connection with his role in a terrorist attack in Bangladesh and cases of money laundering and hate speech.”

“Ten migrants have jumped into the sea in a desperate attempt to swim to the Italian island of Lampedusa amid a stand-off with the Italian government.

One man threw himself into the sea earlier today, while nine more jumped into the waters later on, according to humanitarian group Open Arms.

Meanwhile a woman on board suffered a panic attack.

The migrants aboard the Spanish rescue boat ‘Open Arms’ were ‘desperately trying to reach the coast of Lampedusa’, according to the group.

They said the Italian coastguard and its own crew are trying to rescue them, describing the situation as ‘out of control’…”

  4. Tasers to be issued to every frontline officer in response to ‘sickening trend’ of attacks on police (telegraph, Aug 20, 2019)
    https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2019/08/20/tasers-issued-every-frontline-officer-response-sickening-trend/

“Tasers will be issued to every frontline officer in a police force in response to a “sickening trend” of attacks on the emergency services.

Northamptonshire Police Chief Constable Nick Adderley, who served in the Royal Navy before joining the police, said the weapons would be issued to all officers who want one.

His is one of at least seven forces who have seven of the 43 forces in England and Wales including Surrey and Devon and Cornwall who are introducing Tasers for all their frontline officers who want them – as revealed by The Daily Telegraph last month.

Mr Adderley said: “I can’t sit here and preside over a situation where my officers are exposed to increasing levels of violence when at my disposal is equipment that could save an officer’s life.

“There are people out there who are prepared to seriously injure, or worse. We haven’t moved with the times and we have to move with the times to combat the threat we are facing daily from those who simply have no respect for law and order.”

Mr Adderley has previously called for Tasers to be standard issue within three years, but said he was “not prepared to wait” and that Northamptonshire Police and Crime Commissioner Stephen Mold was “fully supportive”. The force has just over 1,000 frontline officers.

It will take 18 months to train and equip the officers and cost around £220,000. In a tweet, Mr Adderley said risks to officers had “changed dramatically”, adding: “Our officers have a right to feel safe, supported and adequately equipped to tackle this sickening trend.”

The announcement follows the death of Pc Andrew Harper in Berkshire last week as he responded to reports of a burglary, the latest incident where an officer has been harmed while on duty…”

    https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2019/08/19/failed-asylum-seeker-on-trial-for-raping-9-year-old-girl/

“A failed 27-year-old African asylum seeker from Niger, West Africa is currently on trial in a German court, accused of raping a nine-year-old girl.

African migrant Seydou N. is accused of brutally raping the nine-year-old earlier this year at the Elbwiesen nature reserve in Dessau-Roßlau after approaching the young girl on his bike, German tabloid Bild reports.

According to prosecutor Julia Legner, “the girl was there in the morning with her teddy under her arm to play in the meadow.”

Legner added that the migrant allegedly passed her by on his bike and came back to speak with her, “He said to her, ‘Beautiful baby, beautiful baby ‘. When the injured party told him to leave her alone, he pushed her to the ground. He licked her face and threatened, ‘I kill you’, as she screamed and struggled.”

“The defendant then had intercourse with the child. With her 28 kilos, she had no chance against the adult who weighs 80 kilograms,” Legner added.

The man had previously applied for asylum status in Germany but the prosecution noted that his application expired just a week after the attack…”

  6. Server in Paris No-Go Suburb Murdered Over Sandwich (breitbart, Aug 20, 2019)
    https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2019/08/20/server-in-paris-no-go-suburb-murdered-over-sandwich/

“A server in the no-go Paris suburbs of Seine-Saint-Denis was murdered by a customer who was allegedly unhappy at how long it took him to make a sandwich.

The fatal shooting occurred in Noisy-le-Grand at around 9 pm Friday at the restaurant Le Mistral in the evening, with witnesses and restaurant staff saying that the alleged gunman took out his weapon and shot a waiter after complaining that the preparation of his food was taking too long, Franceinfo reports.

The 28-year-old victim was initially shot in the shoulder but died soon after the shooting, even though emergency responders were able to get to the scene relatively quickly.

The gunman, believed to be around 30-years-old, was still on the run as of the following week and investigators say they have not discovered the weapon used in the shooting either.

Brigitte Marsigny, Mayor of Noisy-le-Grand, gave her sympathies to the family of the victim and said, “We can not stigmatize the neighbourhood from this unfortunate event.” According to newspaper Le Parisien, local business people were divided on the “quality of life” in the area.

The incident is just the latest shocking crime to occur in the notorious Seine-Saint-Denis area, which also boasts a large illegal migrant population with some reports claiming as many as 20 percent of the population are illegals…”

  7. Yemeni separatists, government forces clash in the south (abcnews, Aug 20, 2019)
    https://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/yemeni-separatists-government-forces-clash-south-65070521

“Clashes between a Yemeni separatist militia, backed by the United Arab Emirates, and forces loyal to the internationally recognized government killed at least three civilians and wounded nine in southern Abyan province on Tuesday, security officials and local residents said.

The fighting between the two sides — ostensible allies in the Saudi-led coalition that for years has been fighting Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthi rebels, based in the north — has added another layer to the complex civil war in the Arab world’s most impoverished country.

After a 10-hour battle, the Security Belt militia, which is trained and financed by the UAE, overran a military camp belonging to the government’s special forces in the provincial capital, Zinjibar, and deployed across much of the city, said the officials and residents. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they weren’t authorized to talk to the media, while the residents spoke anonymously, fearing reprisal.

The separatists last week took over the port city of Aden, to the west of Zinjibar. Aden has functioned as the seat of President Abed Rabbo Manour Hadi’s government since the Houthis captured Sanaa, Yemen’s capital, and much of the country’s north in 2014.

Yemen’s information minister, Moammer al-Iryani, urged the Saudi-led coalition to pressure the militia to withdraw their forces from Zinjibar. Deputy Foreign Minister Mohammed Abdullah al-Hadrami called for an “immediately and complete halt of the military and financial support” by the UAE to the Yemeni separatists.

Though a key member of the coalition, the UAE never threw its full support behind Hadi because of his ties to Yemen’s Muslim Brotherhood group, a pan-Arab movement that many Arab countries, including UAE, consider a terrorist organization.

After the separatists took control of Aden, the Saudi-led coalition ordered an immediate cease-fire and threatened to bomb them if they didn’t return to positions they held before the fighting.

The coalition also called for both the separatists and Hadi’s government to attend reconciliation talks in Saudi Arabia, without setting a date. The separatist militia said it would attend but did not withdraw from Aden.

The fighting in Aden began earlier this month following the funeral of a separatist leader killed in a Houthi rocket attack. At the time, Hani Bin Braik, a separatist leader and former Cabinet minister, called for the overthrow of Hadi’s government.

The crisis has cast doubt on the cohesiveness of the Saudi-led coalition in its war against the Houthis. Yemen’s war has killed tens of thousands of people and has spawned the world’s worst humanitarian crisis.”

  8. Mike Gonzalez on Hong Kong Protests: We’re Seeing a “Series of Broken Chinese Promises”

    • China lashes out at Taiwan over Hong Kong asylum offer

HONG KONG (AP) — China lashed out at Taiwan on Monday over its offer of political asylum to participants in Hong Kong’s pro-democracy protest movement, a day after hundreds of thousands of people marched peacefully in the latest massive demonstration in the Chinese territory.

The government of Taiwan, a self-ruled island that China considers its own territory, strongly supports the protests, and Hong Kong students in Taiwan held events over the weekend expressing their backing. Taiwan’s president made the asylum offer last month, though it’s not clear if requests have been received.

Taiwan lacks a formal legal mechanism for assessing and granting asylum requests, although it has granted residency to several vocal opponents of the Chinese government.

On Monday, Ma Xiaoguang, spokesman for the Chinese Cabinet’s Taiwan Affairs Office, said Taiwan’s offer would “cover up the crimes of a small group of violent militants” and encourage their “audacity in harming Hong Kong and turn Taiwan into a “heaven for ducking the law.”

  9. Wide implications as Germany teeters toward recession
    By DAVID RISINGyesterday

BERLIN (AP) — Germany, Europe’s industrial powerhouse and biggest economy, with companies like Volkswagen, Siemens and BASF, may be entering a recession, according to a gloomy report from the country’s central bank Monday — a development that could have repercussions for the rest of the eurozone and the United States.

A technical recession is defined as two consecutive quarters of negative growth, and Germany saw a 0.1% drop in the April-to-June period. In its monthly report, the Bundesbank said that with falling industrial production and orders, it appears the slump is continuing during the July-to-September quarter.

“The overall economic performance could decline slightly once again,” it said. “Central to this is the ongoing downturn in industry.”

MOSCOW (Reuters) – Russia told an agency that verifies a ban on nuclear tests that a military test accident in the country’s north this month was none of its business and that handing it any radiation data was voluntary, Interfax news agency reported on Tuesday.

The Vienna-based Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO) said on Monday that two Russian monitoring sites closest to the mysterious explosion went offline days after the blast, soon followed by two more, fuelling suspicions that Russia tampered with them.

  12. MEMRI – In Morsi Eulogy, Canadian Imam Calls President Al-Sisi a “Dwarf” and a “Zionist Collaborator”

In a video uploaded to his YouTube channel on June 19, 2019, Imam Shaban Sherif Mady, of Edmonton, Canada called Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi a “hooligan” Zionist collaborator planted in Egypt in order to corrupt and destroy it.

He praised former Egyptian president Mohamed Morsi for his support of the Syrian revolt against Bashar Al-Assad’s regime, his support of Gaza, and his desire to domestically produce weapons, food, and medicine.

He went on to say that Allah will not allow President Al-Sisi to go unpunished, adding that somebody will take vengeance against Al-Sisi for the blood of the martyrs.

Addressing the leaders of most other Muslim countries, whom he also accused of being Zionist collaborators, Imam Sherif Mady said: “Tomorrow is just around the corner, and the fire that you ignited in the homes of the Muslims [will] change its course and burn you.”

He added that an Islamic state will soon be established, because Allah promised that this would happen.

He has also said that Jerusalem would “only be regained through blood” and that a Caliphate would conquer Rome (see MEMRI TV Clips No. 5462 and No. 5342).

Recently, he was banned from preaching at the Edmonton Community Centre. Imam Sherif Mady is an alumnus of Egypt’s Al-Azhar University.

  13. zero hedge- Italy’s Conte Announces Resignation, Setting The Stage For Prime Minister Salvini

Until today, Italy has had 61 governments since World War II. We can now make that 62.

Moments ago, during a scathing speech that slammed his his deputy premier, Matteo Salvini of the League who is also Italy’s most popular politicians and defacto leader, said Salvini’s decision to spark a political crisis was “irresponsible,” motivated by personal ambition, and will bring down the curtain on the coalition that led the country for just over a year.

In a much anticipated speech to the Senate in Rome, Conte lashed out at Salvini, saying it wasn’t in Italy’s interests to hold elections every year, clearly unaware that that’s pretty much what Italy has been doing for the past 6 decades. The premier also accused Salvini of not properly responding to allegations in the so-called Russiagate case and said he had overstepped his role as minister.

The government’s actions “terminate here,” Conte said, laying the blame for the collapse of the coalition squarely with Salvini and his personal agenda.

Moments later he said he would go to president Mattarella to resign.

The end of the government was largely expected after Salvini pulled his support from the governing alliance with the anti-establishment Five Star Movement earlier in August, saying the coalition no longer has a working majority and setting the stage for a government headed unilaterally by Salvini. The 46-year-old anti-immigration hardliner has been seeking to cash in on his soaring poll ratings and as Bloomberg notes, upended the political establishment with a mid-summer power grab while parliament was in recess.

What happens next will have major implications on Italy’s mountain of public debt which has become the weakest link for Europe’s financial system. One year ago, the ECB effectively threatened to boycott Italian debt as part of its QE sending it plunging. Now that Salvini is set to be Italy’s leader, and the ECB set to restart QE, the question whether Rome will be isolated will once again become front and center, especially with even more debt on tap: on Tuesday, Salvini promised Italians €50 billion of tax cuts and public spending if he can take control of the government.

Italy’s 10-year bonds rallied during the speech, with yields dropping three basis points to 1.41%, however they dipped once Conte announced his resignation. Stocks moved in parallel.

  20. SWEDEN – Jailed migrant rapes prison priest during spiritual guidance

A migrant, doing time at Hall prison, one of Sweden’s high-security jails, locked the door to the room serving as a space for spiritual guidance, attacked the female prison priest and raped her. Now, his penalty is prolonged with three years. Afterwards, he is to be expelled from Sweden for ten years.

The rape behind the walls at Hall prison happened in December last year but the trial was not held until June, Aftonbladet reports.

The female priest said that the prisoner, first locked the door to the room where she was supposed to help him with spiritual guidance. Then he placed a chair under the door handle to ensure that nobody could enter. Then he attacked her.

Three years imprisonment plus deportation for ten years

The priest, who stated that she was in absolutely chock could not scream and was too afraid to ring the security bell in the room. She did not report the crime against her until two days later.

Now the convict, who already was serving time for assault and drug crimes, is sentenced to three more years in prison in addition to be expelled from Sweden for 10 years.

The man’s origin is not reported by Aftonbladet, but no Swedish citizens can be deported from the country.

  22. Turkey to Prevent US From Turning Safe Zone in Northern Syria Into Second Manbij – Ankara (sputniknews, Aug 20, 2019)
    https://sputniknews.com/middleeast/201908201076595057-turkey-to-prevent-us-from-turning-safe-zone-in-syria-into-second-manbij/

“Turkey will not allow the United States to impede talks on establishing safe zones in northern Syria, as was the case with the Syrian region of Manbij, where Washington did not keep its commitments to Ankara, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said.

“The US specialists have already begun to arrive in Turkey as part of our agreements with the United States on the establishment of a joint operations centre for the creation of a safe zone in northern Syria. It is a good start. We will discuss the next step, but we will not allow it to become a second Manbij”, Cavusoglu told reporters.

The foreign minister added that Turkey and the United States had some disagreements concerning the safe zone and were negotiating the matter further.

“If we fail to reach an agreement, we have our own plans in this case”, Cavusoglu said.

The statement comes after the US and Turkish troops who will work at a coordination centre for the joint operations and planned security zone in northern Syria arrived on 12 August in the Turkish border province of Sanliurfa.

Earlier this month, Ankara and Washington reached a long-promised agreement on a safe zone along Syria’s border with Turkey, which views the Kurdish militants operating in Syria’s northern areas as a threat to national security. Damascus opposes the plan, labelling it as a violation of both Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and of international law.

In 2018, Turkey and the United States agreed on a plan to withdraw all Kurdish militants from Manbij and allow the local population to set up a new city council. However, there has not been any progress on this matter since, according to Ankara, Washington has been putting off carrying out the road map.”

“Tensions have been escalating between the two states in recent months, with several exchanges of fire taking place along the Line of Control in Kashmir. Both countries blame each other for violating the ceasefire, which was reached after a previous escalation in February and March.

Spokesman for the Pakistani Armed Forces Major General Asif Ghafoor stated that the army responded in a manner “befitting” the ceasefire violations in the Tatta Pani Sector, near the Line of Control, allegedly carried out by Indian forces. According to Ghafoor, six Indian soldiers, including an officer, were killed and two bunkers destroyed in the Pakistani response.

The Pakistani military spokesman also alleged that the alleged ceasefire violation by New Delhi’s forces had claimed the lives of three civilians, including a 7-year-old boy. India has not responded to the claims yet…”

  25. Merkel Demands EU States Resume Mediterranean Migrant Naval Pickup Mission (breitbart, Aug 20, 2019)
    https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2019/08/20/merkel-demands-eu-states-resume-mediterranean-migrant-naval-pickup-mission/

“German Chancellor Angela Merkel has called on members of the European Union (EU) to resume rescuing migrants in the Mediterranean using naval vessels.

The German leader commented on the issue stating that it would be good to resume a mission like Operation Sophia, which was largely suspended in March of this year after huge resistance from the populist Italian government, Die Welt reports.

“Surely it would be good if we would again today have a mission Sophia so that government ships would save lives,” Merkel said.

In March, the EU announced the suspension of naval operations in the Mediterranean stating, “Member States have decided to extend the mandate of Operation Sophia for six months with a temporary suspension of its naval assets while member states continue working on a solution related to disembarkation.”

Earlier this year, Chancellor Merkel backed out of Operation Sophia due to populist Italian Interior Minister Matteo Salvini’s policy of keeping ports closed to illegal migrants.

Operation Sophia, which began in 2015 and saw tens of thousands of migrants rescued and largely transported to Italy, has been criticised by many, including the government of Libya, where many migrants attempt to access Europe from.

Libyan Foreign Minister Mohamad Taher Siala described his own opinion of Sophia saying, “I think this Sophia… it’s negative. It’s not positive. Simply because in part they encourage the migration.”

While Salvini’s tough anti-mass migration policies have led to a large fall in the number of drowning deaths in the region, the number of migrants attempting to cross the Mediterranean has begun to rise, along with the activity of migrant rescue NGOs.

Several NGOs, such as the German-based Sea-Watch, have challenged Salvini’s closed port policy with Sea Watch captain Carola Rackete forcing her vessel into a port and was arrested after docking. She, along with captain Pia Klemp, faces charges of aiding illegal migration.”

  26. Egypt says its forces kill 11 militants in Sinai Peninsula (abcnews, Aug 20, 2019)
    https://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/egypt-forces-kill-11-militants-sinai-peninsula-65076345

“Egypt says its security forces have killed 11 suspected militants in the restive northern Sinai Peninsula, where it has been fighting an insurgency for years.

The Interior Ministry issued a statement Tuesday saying it had received information about insurgents hiding at a farm in the city of el-Arish.

The statement says that while police forces were hunting the militants, a shootout ensued and the militants were killed. It said they had in their possession seven rifles, two explosive devices and an explosive belt.

The statement didn’t say when the raid took place or whether police had casualties.

It was not impossible to independently confirm the claims as access to northern Sinai is heavily restricted.

Egypt has battled Islamic militants for years in the Sinai Peninsula in an insurgency, where the IS affiliate is based. The insurgency escalated after the military overthrow of an elected but divisive Islamist president in 2013.”

  27. The NY Times reveals itself and what news we’ll see in 2020. In short, they’ll be pushing the ”racist” card to create racial divide. CNN, WaPo, MSNBC, Politico and all others will fall in line.

SUMMARY: Occasionally a burst of information emerges from inside our major institutions. These are usually too disturbing and so ignored. Such as this transcript of a “town hall” discussion in the NY Times newsroom. Read it to see what they will tell you during the next few years – and why, and with what results.

INSIDE an NYT meeting: “Here we have a rare candid look at how the NYT does journalism. They identify the message that they will push, the filter and slant they apply to the news. For the next few years all opposition to the Left’s agenda will be painted as racism. All opponents to the Left will be described as racists. Stoking inter-racial hatred will be their way to gain clicks.”

The rest of the discussion is people venting about the evil of Donald Trump and presumably the half of America who voted for him, and how the NYT’s job is to fight them.
