  1. They are concentrating on the hyoid bone but the reports say there were multiple broken bones in his neck. The multiple broken bones is more consistent with murder rather then someone braiding a rope tying it to something and then kneeling leaning forward until they die.

  5. Ever watch THE LAST ENEMY with Benedict Cumberbatch? There was snapping of necks left and right…then tossing them overboard. Never knew it was so easy to do. Walk up behind someone, break their neck like a chicken and toss them over the rail all in a matter of a few seconds.

    • Its not as easy as they make it seem in the movies and TV shows, you have to know what you are going and get the right leverage.

    He went from being in good spirits, according to family, to dead.
    The penitentiary is in New York. Who has close ties to New York? Clintons come to mind.
    I maintain the Clinton theory. Nobody can make me change my mind.
    Another murder the Clintons got away with.

    • There are a lot of powerful Dems that are suppose to be named in his papers, the Clintons are more famous then the others. Having said that they are at the top of my suspect list.

  7. While I do not doubt that Epstein was murdered, multiple broken bones in the neck are perfectly consistent with a particular type of hanging: It is the type where the hangee jumps away – not straight down – and is yanked back by the rope.

    This is done specifically to ensure that the neck breaks, so the hangee dies instantly and does not suffer a slow strangulation.

    It is the preferred method of suicide in Central Europe – and was indeed employed by several of my relatives, including my step-grandfather.

    So, I would strongly disagree that multiple broken bones in the neck are not consistent with a suicide by hanging.

    Just saying – use good evidence only.

    • There was nothing to tie the rope to so he could jump, all of the reports say he tied the rope to the bed and then leaned forward to kill himself. This would rule out the possibility of broken bones.

    • All of my friends who are police officers (retired and active duty) say that there is no way he could have tied the rope to anything high enough to let him jump and break his neck.

    The New York Times is sticking to its “narrative”that convicted pedophile-facing-new-charges Jeffrey Epstein did himself in in a hoosegow suicide, surrounded by a sea of incompetence at Manhattan’s Metropolitan Correctional Center. Its column about it is titled the definitive-sounding “What We Know About Jeffrey Epstein’s Death.”

    But the Washington Post seems to be moving to toward the second possibility, that Epstein was picked off by someone who wanted him gone at the Manhattan jail.

    An autopsy found that financier Jeffrey Epstein sustained multiple breaks in his neck bones, according to two people familiar with the findings, deepening the mystery about the circumstances around his death.

    Among the bones broken in Epstein’s neck was the hyoid bone, which in men is near the Adam’s apple. Such breaks can occur in those who hang themselves, particularly if they are older, according to forensics experts and studies on the subject. But they are more common in victims of homicide by strangulation, the experts said.

    The details are the first findings to emerge from the autopsy of Epstein, a convicted sex offender and multimillionaire in federal custody on charges of sex trafficking. He died early Saturday morning after guards found him hanging in his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan and he could not be revived.

    Both the Times and the Post use anonymous sources leaking information, and the fact that different kinds of leaks coming out suggests that perhaps they are real leaks from different people. But both have been guilty of supporting narratives, and in the years since their Russia-Russia-Russia reportage, anonymous sources were well employed to advance agendas.

    Could the conflicting storylines of the two papers perhaps signal more than just different sources saying different things? Possibly.

    The New York Times may be sticking by its story of suicide because it views the Epstein case as one of pinning the pervert on President Trump, and now that that bid has failed, they’re losing interest, pursuing the ‘series-of-unfortunate-accidents’ scenario, and taking the story to the narrative of prison reform, which of course is well-needed in any blue city, including New York. Anyone pursuing any other story line is simply a right-wing conspiracy monger.

    The Post, though, seems to be open to the murder scenario — Arkancide, or something similar — and working the story from the underlying motive angle. They aren’t hiding the information from their sources that someone might have wanted him done in. The odds of Epstein committing suicide and breaking his neck in the process are possible, but the percentages of such cases accomplishing that are remarkably low – in the neighborhood of 6% to 25% according to past studies.

    Which would point to motive again — a sense that powerful people, in politics, entertainment, and royalty, might have wanted the guy dead to keep him from talking to prosecutors. Could a supposedly sleeping guard, or another convict have been paid to do the deed?

    The Post seems to be at least open to the possibility with its latest story. Perhaps it wants that story out, or perhaps Post owner Jeff Bezos is influencing the storyline.

    And well, there’s a lot of unexplored story that could point to it. There were reports of screams at dawn. There were people who’ve been in prison who argue that no one can commit suicide in that lockup. There were reports that Epstein wasn’t suicidal and thought that someone tried to kill him earlier. If any of these are true, and I can’t tell at this point, the guard incompetence cited could very well be a dog-ate-my-homework sort of cover-up.

    There also were deeper levels of motive, which is the gist of the Post’s reporting. One is that Epstein had a lot of information on powerful players with money that he could have traded for a lighter sentence. The recent Daily Mail report that a picture of Bill Clinton wearing a blue dress and red high heels was hanging in Epstein’s private quarters would suggest that Clinton could have been Epstein’s little plaything and the two of them had secrets to keep. It certainly would explain the 26 trips on the Lolita Express that the flight logs showed, and which Clinton now is denying. A painting like that, so very highly prized by Epstein that he hung it in his private quarters, could have been blackmail material, too, a message to Clinton, that he was going to play ball, particularly if the portrait was really a photograph or derived from one. To be fair, it also could have been just Epstein’s general creepiness…

    In any case, the murder theory has gained a bit of fuel with this report, but it’s hardly conclusive. Just more reason to watch who is doing what and why they might be doing it.

    A prison insider claimed the woman was seen with the shamed hedge fund manager the day after he was taken off suicide watch at the Manhattan Correctional Center

    Paedophile Jeffrey Epstein spent hours in a ‘private room’ with a mysterious woman soon after he was taken off suicide watch, it is claimed.

    The shamed 66-year-old, who was facing trial for sex trafficking and conspiracy was found dead in his New York cell on Saturday.

    In the days before his death he spent two hours with an unidentified “young” and “pretty” woman, a source told Forbes .

    It happened on July 30, a day after Epstein was reportedly taken off suicide watch at the the Manhattan Correctional Center.

    It is claimed that Epstein paid members of his legal team to sit with him for eight hours a day so he could get out of his cell.

    But the source said he has no idea who the woman was, and whether she was a lawyer.

    The insider, who has not been named, said: “The optics were startling. Because she was young. And pretty.”

    He said Epstein and the woman were alone in the room – which is used for legal meetings between inmates and their attorneys.

    According to prison procedure, the door is locked and inmates have their handcuffs removed when they go in.

    Epstein’s lead lawyer, Reid Weingarten, has yet to comment on the claim.

    An autopsy performed on the former financier showed he had “multiple breaks in his neck bones” after being found dead in his jail cell, according to reports.

    The bones broken in Epstein’s neck reportedly include the hyoid bone, which is near the Adam’s apple.

    This sort of break can happen when a person hangs themselves or dies by strangulation, forensics experts told the Washington Post.

    Two prison staff members who’d been guarding the unit where Epstein died by apparent suicide failed to check on him that night for about three hours, The New York Times reported.

    Officials have reportedly said they don’t know what the staff members were doing during that time.

    Guards are supposed to check on detainees in the special housing unit every 30 minutes, a source told CNN.

    Both guards were reportedly working overtime shifts, but it’s unclear whether that was mandatory.

      Jeffrey Epstein spent at least two hours locked up alone with a mystery woman — possibly part of his legal team — just a day after he was taken off suicide watch at the Metropolitan Correctional Center, according to a new report.

      A visiting attorney, who asked that his name not be used, told Forbes Thursday that he saw the young woman with Epstein on July 30, when the disgraced financier was transferred into the facility’s Special Housing Unit.

      “The optics were startling,” the attorney told the outlet. “Because she was young. And pretty.”

      He speculated that the woman could be a lawyer — as the multimillionaire paid members of his legal team to visit him for nearly eight hours a day, so he could avoid his cell and sit in a room designated for attorney meetings, NBC News reported last week.

      The visiting attorney told Forbes that when he visited that day, Epstein’s main lawyer, Reid Weingarten, wasn’t there — and neither were any of his other known attorneys. It was only the mystery woman.

      “If I was him, I would have hired… an old bald guy,” the lawyer said.

      The woman didn’t seem to be carrying any files and dressed casually — leading the attorney to believe that she was a first-year associate, according to the report.

      “It was slacks and a blouse. … Could have been jeans or another kind of pants,” he told Forbes. “But, like, Sunday brunch attire.”

      “I think she was there just to babysit him, and keep him out of his cell, and just keep him company for eight hours a day,” he added. “Which is not supposed to be the way it works.”

      As soon as prisoners enter the meeting room, their handcuffs are removed and the door is locked, according to the report. When prisoners leave the room, the door is unlocked and the cuffs are put back on, the attorney told Forbes.

      Weinstein and other attorneys representing Epstein did not immediately respond to requests for comment from The Post.

      Other attorneys trying to use the room for visits with their clients have grown frustrated with Epstein’s daily presence there, the attorney told the outlet.

      “They wouldn’t move anybody until [Epstein] got where he was going, which is what they used to do with El Chapo, too,” he said.

      The Metropolitan Correctional Center has 12 attorney visiting rooms, but only two are available to lawyers visiting clients in the Special Housing Unit, according to the report.

      Prison officials did not respond to Forbes’ calls about Epstein’s apparently frequent access to the meeting room.

      Epstein was found dead of an apparent suicide in his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center early Saturday. He was being held there without bail since his July arrest on sex trafficking charges.

      Epstein suffered multiple broken neck bones, his autopsy revealed.

      On July 23, Epstein was found nearly unconscious with injuries to his neck in his cell, in what sources called a possible suicide attempt.

      Epstein told his lawyers that the injuries were inflicted by his cellmate, hulking ex-Westchester County cop Nicholas Tartaglione, who faces a death penalty trial in four drug-related slayings upstate.

      The convicted pedophile had claimed that “the cop roughed him up, and that’s why they got him off suicide watch,” a source close to the case said earlier this week.

    Flags on islands belonging to Jeffrey Epstein were lowered to half-staff four days after his jailhouse suicide, causing many to scratch their heads. A boat captain noticed that Little St. James, just off the southwest coast of St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the neighboring Great St. James, both owned by Epstein, were sporting flags at half-staff.

    Jeffrey Epstein committed suicide by hanging himself in his jail cell, the New York medical examiner said Friday.

    Epstein, 66, was found in his cell in Manhattan federal lockup Saturday morning and transferred to a nearby hospital, where he was subsequently pronounced dead. His autopsy was performed Sunday, NBC News reported, citing two law enforcement officials.

    Epstein was remanded to jail pending trial on charges of sex trafficking of minors and sex trafficking conspiracy, which were lodged by federal prosecutors in Manhattan last month. He was accused of abusing dozens of underage girls in his mansions in New York and Palm Beach, Florida, between 2002 and 2005.

    He had pleaded not guilty to the charges, which carried a maximum sentence of 45 years in prison if convicted.

    Epstein, a former friend of Presidents Bill Clinton and Donald Trump, had been found semi-conscious and with marks on his neck in his cell less than three weeks before his death. He was placed on suicide watch in a so-called Special Housing Unit for at-risk inmates — but was reportedly taken back off suicide watch after about a week.

    A lawyer for Epstein’s former cellmate, Nicholas Tartaglione, told NBC that the cellmate had been cleared of any wrongdoing in that July 23 incident.?

    The death of possibly the most high-profile inmate in the country infuriated officials and allowed conspiracy theories to about a possible murder to run wild, especially on social media.

    Attorney General William Barr, whose Department of Justice oversees the Bureau of Prisons, said he was “appalled” that Epstein had died while incarcerated. Barr also vowed that the FBI and the DOJ’s internal watchdog office would investigate the “serious irregularities” at that jail, the Metropolitan Correctional Center in lower Manhattan.

    The DOJ said Tuesday that the jail’s warden at the time, Lamine N’Diaye, would be replaced on Barr’s orders.

    The Washington Post’s report Thursday only fueled more suspicion by reporting that Epstein had broken his hyoid bone in his neck — a circumstance that some experts say is more common in strangulations than in hangings.
