Daily Links Post graphic

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

    • Hit them where they ain’t. The protesters are making the Police (Government) react to them instead of staying in one place and reacting to the Governments moves. If they can keep this up long enough they will force the Chicoms on the mainland to either surrender or to invade and cause massive sanctions to be placed on China and individual Chinese leaders.

  2. Russia nuclear leak: Mysterious footage of hazmat officials escalates radiation panic
    https://www.express.co.uk/news/world/1164125/Russia-nuclear-leak-radiation-Putin-iodine-hazmat

Last night, Russia’s nuclear energy agency Rostam admitted that they had been involved in the aftermath of the incident, raising concern of a radiation leak.
Rostam added that the explosion took place during the testing of an “isotope power source”.

The official said five of its employees had died as a result of the accident and three more were being treated for burns.
    [..]
The radiation level was recorded as 20 times higher than the normal level in the nearby city of Severodvinsk.

This has been reinforced by chilling footage filmed in the aftermath of the incident.

One video showed hospital workers wearing hazmat suits while they loaded the injured into an ambulance.
Another terrifying video revealed a security escort of ambulances transporting the injured to Moscow.

In this footage, one of the ambulance is clearly coated in a chemical protection film.

A defence ministry source said that the worker’s clothes had been burned as soon as they were hospitalised with suspected radiation.

Fury as ‘Russians’ bombard the wives of Dutch fighter pilots with shocking phone calls
    https://www.express.co.uk/news/world/1164035/Russia-latest-world-war-3-news-dutch-fighter-pilots-latvia-conflict-lithuania

ALLEGED ‘Russians’ have been leaving the wives and girlfriends of Dutch fighter jets who served in eastern Europe in 2017 with unwanted and abusive message, it has been claimed.

According to Dutch newspaper Telegraaf, the pilots’ partners were forced to endure “harassment” in their homes. Pilots targeted had all worked in Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania. NL Times says that the military intelligence service said this type of behaviour was normal.

The newspaper reports that the person on the line calling them would have “Russian-sounding accents” and would ask why their partners had been supporting the three countries.

Two years ago, Dutch F-16 fighter jets participated in the Baltic Air Police.

The group patrolled the Baltic air space and provided support.

The jets have since moved, but the Netherlands still has a big presence in Lithuania.

  6. Iran Reveals New Domestically Built Radar System Months After Its Air Defences Downed US Drone (sputniknews, Aug 10, 2019)
    https://sputniknews.com/middleeast/201908111076521954-iran-reveals-new-domestically-built-radar-system/

“Iran’s indigenously developed Khordad 3 air defence system managed to detect and down the US reconnaissance drone, RQ-4 Global Hawk, in June 2019, after it allegedly violated Iranian borders.

The Iranian military have presented its new “Falaq” radar system, which was developed and produced domestically and is expected to complement the existing air defence systems, such as the S-300. “Falaq” is a phased-array type of radar system, capable of detecting a variety of targets from long ranges, the Iranian Army’s Air Defense Force Brigadier General Alireza Sabahi-Fard stated on 10 August.

“This system has high capabilities and can identify all types of cruise missiles, stealth planes, drone systems and ballistic missiles for a range of 400 kilometres”, he said.

Iranian politicians recently have been stressing the achievements of the Iranian military industry, noting that one of its products, the Khordad 3 air defence system, recently proved its efficiency by downing an American RQ-4 Global Hawk drone. Tehran said that the drone violated its borders and failed to respond to multiple warnings, while the US claims that the UAV was flying above neutral waters.

Tensions between the US and Iran have been escalating recently amid Washington’s “maximum pressure” sanctions campaign against Iran and the US military build-up in the region. The actions by the US have forced Tehran to prioritize the domestic development of weaponry, such as air defence systems, tanks and jets in recent years.”

    https://www.aa.com.tr/en/turkey/feto-threat-for-all-humanity-turkey/1553903

“The Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO) is a threat not only for Turkey but for all of humanity, a Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesman said Friday.

The comments by Hami Aksoy were in response to a question about the Brazil’s denial to extradite to Turkey wanted FETO member Ali Sipahi.

“[FETO] continues to pose a threat to the security of Brazil as it does for all other countries where it operates,” Aksoy said in a statement.

He said Turkey put up a determined and sincere fight against all kinds of terrorism and expects the same approach from its allies and the international community.

“We expect the Brazilian Government to show the same sensitivity on this matter,” Aksoy added.

“In that regard, the fight against FETO should be as important and prioritized for Brazil as it is for our country,” Aksoy said and vowed to continue cooperating with Brazil to fight terrorism, particularly against FETO.

The Brazilian Supreme Court on Thursday denied the extradition of Sipahi, who has been living in Brazil for 12 years and became a Brazilian citizen on Oct. 13, 2016.

Turkey had sought Sipahi’s extradition because of his links to FETO.

He was detained at Guarulhos Airport in Sao Paulo in April, according to a police report cited by local media.

FETO and its U.S.-based leader, Fetullah Gulen, orchestrated a defeated coup attempt July 15, 2016 which left 251 people martyred and nearly 2,200 injured.”

  15. Turkey neutralizes 2 PKK terrorists in northern Iraq (aa, Aug 10, 2019)
    https://www.aa.com.tr/en/middle-east/turkey-neutralizes-2-pkk-terrorists-in-northern-iraq/1554471

“Turkey has neutralized two PKK terrorists on Saturday in northern Iraq during an anti-terror operation, according to the country’s National Defense Ministry.

The terrorists were neutralized in airstrikes on Gara region in coordination with Turkey’s ongoing Operation Claw, the ministry said on Twitter.

Turkish authorities often use the term “neutralized” in statements to imply the terrorists in question surrendered or were killed or captured.

On May 27, Turkey launched Operation Claw against the PKK in the Hakurk region of northern Iraq. A total of 80 terrorists have been “neutralized” so far since the launch of counter-terrorism offensive.

On July 13, Turkey launched Operation Claw-2 as a follow-up on the successfully ongoing Claw-1, which revealed new information on terrorist activities, according to the ministry.

PKK terrorists often use northern Iraq as a base to plan cross-border terrorist attacks on Turkey.

In its more than 30-year terror campaign against Turkey, the PKK — listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU — has been responsible for the deaths of some 40,000 people, including women, children and infants.”
