Daily Links Post graphic

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

Jailed migrant rapes prison priest during spiritual guidance

A migrant, doing time at Hall prison, one of Sweden’s high-security jails, locked the door to the room serving as a space for spiritual guidance, attacked the female prison priest and raped her. Now, his penalty is prolonged with three years. Afterwards, he is to be expelled from Sweden for ten years.

    By Katerina, August 5, 2019:

The rape behind the walls at Hall prison happened in December last year but the trial was not held until June, Aftonbladet reports.

The female priest said that the prisoner, first locked the door to the room where she was supposed to help him with spiritual guidance. Then he placed a chair under the door handle to ensure that nobody could enter. Then he attacked her.htt

  2. Transgender Who Demanded Testicle Waxing Reportedly Has Home RAIDED by Authorities

Jessica Yaniv was raided after a YouTube debate with Blaire White.

Jessica Yaniv, the transgender woman who filed a complaint with Canadian authorities after a salon owner refused to wax her testicles, had her home raided last night to find illegal weapons.

It happened after she appeared on conservative transgender activist Blaire White’s YouTube channel where the two individuals had a heated debate about leftism. She had bragged about having a taser during the debate, brandishing the weapon during the video that is illegal in Canada.

“I have to carry pepper spray with me because people are so freaking violent over here,” Yaniv said during the debate.

“I should not have to literally have something like this,” she said while holding up a stun gun before admitting that owning one is illegal in Canada. “I don’t need to be scared in my own house.”

  3. CONFIRMED: Democrat Dayton Shooter Was Part Of ANTIFA, Participated In Armed Protest This Year

Connor Betts, the man who killed nine people in Dayton, Ohio this past weekend, attended an armed protest, alongside Antifa, in May of this year, according to a local Ohio news source.

According to WHIO, Betts attended a protest against the Ku Klux Klan while armed with a rifle appearing to be the same one he used over the weekend for mass murder. The local news station reports Betts spoke briefly to a reporter while wearing a bandanna and sunglasses covering most of his face.

Betts seems to have been made aware of the KKK rally by far-left Antifa doxxing account Antifash Gordon, as a screenshot provided by journalist Nick Monroe reveals.

“La Raza Supremacy Declared By Reies Tijerina, 1969”
Patriot Fire – Published on Jul 22, 2019

Reies Tijerina was a revolutionary activist in New Mexico during the 1960’s. He is called one of “Four Horsemen,” which are considered the founders of the radical Chicano Movement which had it’s hay day in the late 1960’s and 1970’s, but live on as part of the “La Raza” movement. In this clip he lays out his racialist vision for the American Southwest and the entire Western Hemisphere being dominated by a new, brown Race (La Raza). This clip is a excerpt from a speech made at UCLA on May 9, 1969.

Tijerina cites Jose Vasconcelos as the inspiration for his vision. Vasconcelos developed a Nazi-like racialist theory for the mestizo race in his book, La Raza Comica, published in 1925. He was a Nazi sympathizer and a paid Nazi propagandist during the 1930’s and WWII.

“Muslim Detainees Being Flown Out Of San Diego?”
Patriot Fire – Published on Jul 5, 2019

MUSLIM DETAINEES IN SAN DIEGO? – I went to the Airport on the morning of July 5th, 2019, because I thought a planeload of fake refugees was coming to San Diego. Three DHS buses were there, as usual, to transport the passengers of one plane, about 130 persons. But instead of unloading, they transferred handcuffed detainees to the plane to be flown out, as if they are being deported. Almost all of the detainees have beards, which is unusual for Central Americans. It looks like these men may be Muslim. What do you think? The plane flew them to Memphis, Tennessee. Almost anyone in the world can claim asylum, if they can get to the US border and have some kind of concocted story to tell. It doesn’t matter, if they cross the border legally or illegally. If they have a kid with them, they will be released in a few days into the US.

Here’s a link on Special Interest Aliens, which is what these detainees appear to be.

  7. Egypt says security forces killed 17 Islamic militants (abcnews, Aug 8, 2019)
    https://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/egypt-security-forces-killed-17-islamic-militants-64862258

“Security forces killed at least 17 suspected militants in raids in Cairo and in another province, Egypt officials said Thursday, four days after a car filled with explosives wrecked outside the county’s main cancer hospital, killing at least 20 people in the ensuing explosion.

The Interior Ministry, which oversees the police, said in a statement that eight of the militants were killed when security forces stormed their hideout in the town of Atsa in Fayoum province, about 80 kilometers (50 miles) southwest of Cairo.

It said another seven were killed in the Cairo suburb of Shortouk. The remaining two, including a brother of the suspected militant who was driving the car, were also killed in Cairo, the ministry said. It said police arrested another suspect.

The statement said the militants were members of Hasm, which has links to the outlawed Muslim Brotherhood.

The ministry released a series of images and video purportedly depicting some of the militants and assault rifles found in their hideouts. The statement did not say when the raids took place, or whether police forces were wounded in the clashes with the militants.

Sunday’s blast was the deadliest militant attack in more than two years in the Egyptian capital. Authorities said a car packed with explosives being driven to carry out an attack elsewhere collided with other vehicles and exploded on the busy Corniche boulevard along the Nile River, setting other cars on fire.

At least 20 people were killed and 47 wounded in the blast that also damaged Egypt’s main cancer hospital nearby, shattering parts of the facade and some rooms inside, forcing the evacuation of dozens of patients.

For years, Egypt has battled Islamic militants, led by an IS affiliate, in the Sinai Peninsula. That insurgency has at times spilled over into other parts of the country.”

  8. Iraq hands over remains of Kuwaitis missing since 1991 (abcnews, Aug 8, 2019)
    https://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/iraq-hands-remains-kuwaitis-missing-1991-64852953

“Iraq on Thursday handed over to Kuwait the remains of 48 of its citizens who went missing after Saddam Hussein’s invasion of the country 28 years ago and subsequent Gulf War.

Kuwait says hundreds of people went missing during Iraq’s seven-month occupation, and the issue has remained a sticking point between the two countries.

The remains, which were put in caskets and wrapped in Kuwaiti flags, were handed over to Kuwaiti authorities at the Safwan border crossing at a ceremony attended by officials from the two neighboring countries.

“The Iraqi government is determined to find all the remaining missing Kuwaitis (in Iraq) and hand them over to the Kuwaiti authorities and consequently to their families,” said Maj. Gen. Hazim Qassim, a representative of the Iraqi Defense Ministry.

Kuwait’s national news agency confirmed the Gulf state on Thursday received human remains said to belong to slain Kuwaiti prisoners of war pending forensic examination locally.

The remains were found in March at a mass grave in the desert west of the city of Samawa south of Baghdad.

Iraq and Kuwait resumed diplomatic relations after former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein was ousted from power in 2003 in the U.S. led-invasion of Iraq. He was executed three years later after he was sentenced to death by hanging for crimes against humanity.”

  11. teh gateway pundit – BREAKING: Andrew McCabe Sues FBI, DOJ Over His Firing

Former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe is now suing the FBI and DOJ over his firing.

McCabe’s counsel is asking a court to find his termination was a “legal nullity” and to let him basically retire as he had planned.

“It was Trump’s unconstitutional plan and scheme to discredit and remove DOJ and FBI employees who were deemed to be his partisan opponents because they were not politically loyal to him,” the complaint alleges.

Then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions fired Andrew McCabe in March of 2018 just hours before his 50th birthday when his full pension would have kicked in.

In April of 2018, the DOJ’s Inspector General eviscerated the FBI official in a report.

DOJ IG Horowitz said that McCabe ‘lacked candor’ (lied) several times, including under oath.

McCabe’s lawsuit against the Trump Administration comes just one day after former FBI counterintelligence chief Peter Strzok filed a similar suit over his firing.

Just like Peter Strzok, McCabe was involved in the attempted coup to remove President Trump from office.

According to text messages exchanged between Peter Strzok and his paramour FBI lawyer Lisa Page, the two discussed an “insurance policy” in McCabe’s office should Trump win the 2016 election.

  12. WASHINGTON — More than a quarter of Air Mobility Command’s C-130 Hercules fleet are being temporarily removed from service after “atypical” cracking was found.

During scheduled depot maintenance, the U.S. Air Force discovered cracking of the lower center wing joint — also known as the “rainbow fitting” — which led Air Mobility Command head Gen. Maryanne Miller to order an inspection of a portion of the fleet, according to an AMC statement released Wednesday evening.

A total of 123 of 450 C-130H and C-130J aircraft will be temporarily grounded while inspections occur. “This temporary removal of service will not impact ongoing C-130 support to overseas contingency operations,” AMC said in its statement.

The decision to pause operations and conduct inspections was made after a single C-130 was found with the lower center wing joint cracks, said AMC spokesman Maj. Jonathan Simmons. But the risk posed by the issue — that the wing could become dislodged from the aircraft — was so serious that the Air Force decided to move forward with inspections for all planes that could potentially be impacted.

The 123 aircraft chosen to go through inspections have not been equipped with an “extended service life center wing box” and have flown more than 15,000 hours.

  13. After Swedish media brought attention to several cases where hedgehogs were tormented to death, an animal welfare organization confirms that the number of reports has increased this year.
Young people and children in “special areas” in Nässjö torment and kick hedgehogs around like a football, states P4 Jönköping.
The local organization Animal Friends has received more alerts than usual regarding animal cruelty this summer.
As a precaution they have tried to move the hedgehogs.
“These are special areas where youths and children as a game poke them with sticks, try to spike them and kick them like a football”, says Annica Sjöberg, chairman of Animal Friends in Nässjö, and adds that it has gotten worse this year.
Sjöberg believes that animal cruelty is often due to “ignorance”.

  15. ?WASHINGTON — Republicans on Thursday launched a widespread boycott of ad spending on Twitter until the social media giant unlocks Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s campaign Twitter account.

President Trump’s re-election campaign, the Republican National Committee, the House and Senate GOP campaign arms and the Senate Leadership Fund all announced a suspension of ad spending, citing anti-conservative bias.

Depending on how long the boycott lasts, hundreds of thousands of ad dollars on Twitter could be at stake.

Trump’s re-election campaign alone had forecast between $300,000 and $500,000 in Twitter spending for August, the campaign told The Post.

  16. Inverting Due Process
One of the troubling issues behind such laws is the intent to “catch” people before they actually commit a crime—based on a presumption that the individual “may” commit that crime in the future. In essence, Red Flag laws are “pre-crime” laws, which is why they are also known as prevention laws.

And they invert our nation’s due process of “innocent until proven guilty” into something resembling “potentially guilty until proven innocent.” The intent behind Red Flag laws runs completely counter to the underpinnings of our legal system which has been designed to impose punitive measures after illegal conduct has occurred, not in anticipation of it.

The idea that someone “might” be a danger, although tempting in the wake of these tragic shootings, does not provide legal sufficiency to strip away an individual’s Constitutional rights without the benefit of due process. Also worth asking is what, exactly, constitutes a Red Flag? And who gets to make that determination?

“American airman brought home 52 years after he was shot down in combat over Vietnam” Global News – Published on Aug 8, 2019

Born in Texas in 1931, Roy Abner Knight Jr. was the sixth of eight children. He joined the U.S. Air Force just days after his 17th birthday. He started off as a clerk and typist at various locations in Southeast Asia, but eventually attended officer candidate school in the U.S. By 1953, he was a commissioned officer, and in 1957, he began flight training in Texas.

He shipped overseas in January 1967, reporting to the 602nd Fighter Squadron (Commando) at Udorn Royal Thai Air Force Base. He flew combat missions almost every day until he was shot down on May 19, 1967. His obit states that he was posthumously awarded the Air Force Cross, Silver Star, Distinguished Flying Cross, Purple Heart and six air medals.

But his final honour would involve his own family. On this day, his son Bryan — that five-year-old son who had waved goodbye to him when he left for overseas in 1967 — is now a captain with Southwest Airlines, and was the pilot who brought home his father home 52 years after that goodbye.
