1. Dutch police are being infiltrated by criminal gangs, report says

Dutch police unions have called for extra training in resisting approaches from criminal gangs after a report concluded that the recent firing of dozens of officers for corruption and security breaches could prove “the tip of the iceberg”.

 

The Algemeen Dagblad (AD) newspaper said the confidential police report confirmed suspicions that forces around the country were being infiltrated by organised crime, with 19 officers from the mid-Netherlands force alone found to have underworld connections.

 

The paper said dozens of officers had been suspended or dismissed in recent weeks over offences and allegations of corruption in office, fraud, professional misconduct, breach of official secrecy, dereliction of duty and misuse of police computers.

 

In Utrecht, a senior officer was sacked and faces court proceedings after being revealed by a crown witness to have been in the pay of Ridouan Taghi, a notorious suspected drugs baron currently on trial, with 15 accomplices, accused of organising a string of underworld killings.

 

In the southern province of Limburg, another commanding officer and three more junior staff have been suspended for “suspected unprofessional behaviour” after an investigation into four police personnel who were taken off active duty in April.

2. Feminist Magazine Admits Migrants Behind Most Pool Sex Assaults

While police and other authorities have been hesitant to blame migrants for pool sex assaults, one German feminist magazine has published an article admitting most assaults are carried out by them.

The article, published by Cologne-based feminist magazine Emma, admitted that young migrant men were responsible for the majority of sex attacks in outdoor pools across the country.

 

“Women are massively harassed by migrants. Swimming champions are abused. In addition, there is a high degree of violence and the lack of any respect! An outdoor swimming pool should be a place of recreation and not a place of horror!” president of the Federal Association of German Swimming Champions Peter Harzheim told the magazine.

 

“Since 2015 there are problems in our baths with young migrants. It was a slow process. In the meantime, the impression prevails that only young Arab-born men can dare to go to the outdoor pool,” Harzheim added.

According to the police of North Rhine-Westphalia, where the majority of sex attacks in outdoor pools are said to occur, most perpetrators are “young men of North African, Arab, and Turkish origin”.

3. German police raid suspected Islamic extremists, detain 6

Police in western Germany raided the apartments of alleged Islamic extremists on Thursday and detained six people amid suspicions the group may have been planning an attack.

 

Cologne police said the raids, which started at around 4 a.m., centered on an apartment in nearby Dueren where the main suspect in the case had recently moved, joining another radical who already lived there, and on his construction company in Cologne. An apartment where he previously lived in Berlin also was searched.

 

The main suspect is a 30-year-old German-Lebanese convert to Islam who has been on authorities’ radar as an extremist for six years and tried repeatedly to travel to territory controlled by the Islamic State group, senior police official Klaus-Stephan Becker told reporters.

 

Police acted after the man was heard talking about “planning to ascend to the highest level of paradise of the Muslim faith,”

(Under Mueller’s leadership, the FBI would have actually had to stop investigating once they found out that he had said these things.)

4. Leftists and Muslims enraged over Boris Johnson’s statement that Muslim world “literally centuries behind” the West

(I wonder what it would be like to add “Leftists and Muslims enraged…” before any headline at all. It would probably fit! Lets try it.)

“Mohammed Amin, until recently chairman of the Conservative Muslim Forum, told the newspaper Mr Johnson’s analysis risked ‘actively promoting hatred of Muslims.’”

 

Why? Johnson’s statement — which, by the way, he made in 2007, but there is no statute of limitations on Leftist/Islamic rage — was about Islam, not Muslims. If he had said that Christianity had left South America literally centuries behind the North, he would be lauded as a courageous and clear thinker; when I was in college, which was 100 years ago, this idea was promoted matter-of-factly in classes about Latin America, and never challenged. No one said that the professors were “actively promoting hatred of Christians,” however dubious their claims.

 

But there is one belief system that cannot be criticized, on pain of charges of “Islamophobia.” Note that Amin doesn’t say Johnson’s analysis is false. In a world where there are Muslim countries in which non-Muslims are put to death for blasphemy, and threats are issued to radio stations for featuring female broadcasters, and women are just now getting the right to drive, and there are honor killings and mutilation of the genitals of little girls, Amin can’t truthfully say that Johnson is wrong.

German captain Carola Rackete, who sparked an international debate after forcibly docking the rescue vessel Sea-Watch 3 in the Italian port of Lampedusa arrived in court in Sicilian town of Agrigento on Thursday. Rackete will be questioned by the Italian prosecutor on charges of aiding illegal immigration. Footage shows the 31-year-old swarmed by journalists as she refuses to make any comments to the media on her way to the court.

 

Rackete, who captained the migrant rescue ship Sea-Watch 3, was detained in Italy after refusing to comply with a ban on entering Italy’s territorial waters. The vessel was carrying more than 40 migrants and after weeks at sea, Rackete decided to port in Lampedusa on June 29, ramming a police boat in the process. Later, an Italian judge freed Rackete, saying she had not broken the law and that she had been carrying out her duty to protect human life. Despite that, Rackete is also being investigated for aiding illegal immigration and entering Italian waters defying an order to stop.

7. (Leftists and muslims outraged) as Ilhan Omar Seizes Spotlight to Push Pro-BDS Resolution

(Ok this one doesn’t work. Mainly because BDS is a product of leftist and muslim outrage. But pretty much anything else, it works)

But at least one of those congresswomen — Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota — is about to drop her own resolution that may not go over so well with Democratic leadership. Her resolution would defend the pro-Palestinian boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) movement against Israel.

 

“We are introducing a resolution … to really speak about the American values that support and believe in our ability to exercise our first amendment rights in regard to boycotting,” Omar told Al-Monitor. “And it is an opportunity for us to explain why it is we support a nonviolent movement, which is the BDS movement.”

 

The Minnesota Democrat noted she intends to introduce the bill early this week. At the same time, Democratic leadership plans to advance another nonbinding resolution condemning the BDS movement on Wednesday.
